Innovative approaches to land governance and programme management : a contractors view

The land governance assessment framework : identifying and monitoring good practice in the land sector

The results of a 2010 survey on the acquisition of rural land by agro-investors in Benin, Burkina Faso, Mali and Niger are presented. It is argued that local and customary authorities, as well as farmer organizations need to screen intentions of presumed investors and build in safeguards.

Monitoring tenure security within the continuum of land rights : methods and practices : paper

Agricultural commodities that respect land rights and food security : how to include land governance issues in sustainable commodity standards?

Sustaining customary land secretariats for improved interactive land governance in Ghana

Resettlement and gender dimensions of land rights in post-conflict northern Uganda

The effect of displacement and resettlement of households on gender-differentiated access to land and land investments in northern Uganda is examined. Even low levels of land conflict undermine land governance and management, constrain productivity, and serve as a source of persistent violence.
