		<description>&lt;p&gt;   National Pediatric Hypnosis Training Institute Pediatric Clinical Hypnosis Skills Training Workshop&lt;/p&gt;  &lt;p&gt;   10/3/2013 through 10/5/2013 Chaska, Minnesota&lt;/p&gt;  &lt;p&gt;   Tri-level pediatric-specific medical hypnosis skills training, co-sponsored by the National Pediatric Hypnosis Training Institute (www.NPHTI.org), the University of Minnesota Department of Pediatrics, and the Minnesota Society of Clinical Hypnosis.&lt;/p&gt;  &lt;p&gt;   Clinical Hypnosis is a therapeutic intervention with empirical support for a variety of clinical conditions: including chronic and procedure-related pain, anxiety disorders, stress-related conditions, habit problems, sleep disturbance, and various medical conditions. This workshop provides training in the use of clinical hypnosis and its applications to children and teens with various conditions in pediatric settings. The workshop is offered at three levels (Introductory, Intermediate and Advanced) depending on the clinician&amp;rsquo;s previous training in pediatric hypnosis. Strong emphasis is placed on experiential learning, with supervised practice of hypnotic techniques suitable for children/teens and of integrating a developmental perspective.&lt;/p&gt;  &lt;p&gt;   ELIGIBILITY AND TARGET AUDIENCE&lt;/p&gt;  &lt;p&gt;   These workshops would be ideal for persons holding a:&lt;/p&gt;  &lt;p&gt;   &amp;bull; Doctoral Degree in Medicine, Psychology, or Dentistry&lt;/p&gt;  &lt;p&gt;   &amp;bull; Masters Degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Clinical or Counseling Psychology&lt;/p&gt;  &lt;p&gt;   &amp;bull; Masters Degree in Nursing or a Registered Nurse with subspecialty training and certification&lt;/p&gt;  &lt;p&gt;   &amp;bull; Other Advanced degree health care providers, e.g. Occupational and Physical Therapists, Speech and Language Pathologists, et. al.&lt;/p&gt;  &lt;p&gt;   &amp;bull; Child Life Specialists holding a Bachelor&amp;rsquo;s degree&lt;/p&gt;  &lt;p&gt;   &amp;bull; Students, Interns, Residents and Fellows actively enrolled in a graduate program leading to degrees or completion of training in any of the foregoing.&lt;/p&gt;  &lt;p&gt;   NOTE: All participants are expected to attend the entire workshop and participate in experiential activities, including trance experiences.
