Okay, so this is by far the most exquisite of all the hotels/casinos in Las Vegas. The style and presence embodies everything the founders of Las Vegas wanted it to be; classy through and through. And no matter how many casinos come and go, this one stands alone as having always been the royalty among them all. When you come up to the front, you are greeted by a magnificent lake. This lake features an out-of-this world waterworks show every night. Lights help to create this magical wonderland that draws you in and captivates you entirely. Anybody will tell you that of all the things to see and do in Vegas, you absolutely cannot miss the water show at the Bellagio. The rooms are as classy as the rest of the hotel/casino. They are neither modern nor retro, but simply timeless. Gold accents are subtle yet give the appeal of being back in the era where class and style were absolutely important. They also offer villas and suites that will make you feel as if you were as important as the Rat Pack themselves. The Bellagio takes you back in time in such a way that you feel as if you were a part of the birth and the dream that Vegas started out as. One of the main attractions at the Bellagio is Cirque du Soleil’s “O” show. Everyone knows the reputation these performers have and this show is no exception. They also have a conservatory within the hotel that is an oasis in the desert. Beautiful and exotic, it’s the perfect way to get away from the bustle of the city and casinos for a while and enjoy nature right in the heart of the city. For the art lovers, they offer a grand museum of fine art. Wander the hallways of this museum and take in the beauty of each collection. I cannot stress enough how much the Bellagio has maintained throughout time the essence that Vegas once was. This museum is a part of it all. Of course, if partying is what you’re looking for, they also cater to the wild side as well. For daytime pleasures, take a stroll out to the pools and enjoy the poolside bars. When night falls, there are several choices of bars to take part in, though for a step back in time to the Renaissance era, you might want to check out Hyde. With lounge chairs fit for a queen to the gardens where you can sip on specialty drinks, they will not disappoint.

Welcome to the Tropicana Las Vegas Resort. With 10,000 square miles of convention space, nearly two-thousand rooms, a fifty-thousand square foot casino attached, the Tropicana Las Vegas Resort is a world famous resort since the 1900s! The owner of the resort, Ben Jaffe, spent fifteen million dollars to originally build a three-hundred room hotel, and then spent another two-hundred and fifty thousand dollars on grand opening night. Tropicana Las Vegas is known for its tropical theme, classy look, and famous people. Since its creation, the hotel has been known as the Tiffany of the strip as the owner embellished it in expensive furnishings and offers far more than any other hotel. The hotel was first opened in April of 1957 and since has been remodeled, expanded, and made more magnificent than it was on opening day. In three years’ time, the hotel added a full golf course with eighteen holes, a second wing to the hotel with an additional hundred and sixteen rooms, and grand swimming pools. In 1965 it added a nightclub that featured stars like Roger Williams, Count Basie and Guy Lombardo. In the seventies, it added a theatre and the Paradise Tower. Eventually, it grew into its own Island with theme parks, water parks, casinos, and wildlife walks. It is now one of the biggest resorts in the entire world. Unlike other hotels, this hotel is located in a place of its own for your convenience. Tropicana Las Vegas is located in Tropicana-Las Vegas Boulevard intersection. Because of this intersection has the most hotel rooms of any in the entire world, pedestrians are not allowed to walk at street level. Instead there is an overhead pedestrian bridge that links Tropicana-Las Vegas Boulevard to its neighboring casinos and resorts. With a pedestrian bridge overhead where people walk over the city, you will feel like you are in a world all of your own. The Tropicana Las Vegas Resort is an Island all to yourself with everything you need all in one place. Booking at the Tropicana Las Vegas Resort gives you the gambling scene, the tropical theme, theatres, entertainment, shopping, restaurants, and so much more. With so much to do, you won’t have time to be bored. There really isn’t a better place than the Tropicana Las Vegas so indulge yourself in the sinful pleasures of Las Vegas in one extravagant place. Come experience the awesomeness of Las Vegas at Tropicana Las Vegas Resort!

One of the most infamous groups of performers the world has ever seen, Cirque du Soleil embodies the mysterious, the taboo, the awe-inspiring, and the seemingly impossible. Flying through the air, contorting their bodies in ways unimaginable, and creating spectacular shows that leave you feeling that time itself has stopped. Criss Angel has joined up with them at the Luxor for a mixture of magic and mystery. The show “Believe” combines Angel’s style such as shown in “Mindfreak” and Cirque du Soleil’s acrobatic artistry. From the theater itself to the set pieces used during Angel’s performance, the whole atmosphere is dark and gothic, reminiscent of old world circuses and carnivals with a morbid twist. If you’re a Beatles fan, they have a show at the Mirage called “Love,” based around the 60’s styles and politics and most importantly, the music of the Beatles. Instead of the high-flying acrobatics you’re used to from them; they feature more youthful and modern styles such as break dancing, extreme sports, and street dancing. The theatre features 360 degree seating and with the farthest seat being only ninety-eight feet from the stage, there isn’t a bad seat in the house. Along with the live entertainment, they have film reels of the Beatles performing throughout the show. Then there’s a treat for the Elvis fans as well. Poignantly named “Viva Elvis”, this show takes place at the Aria. Where “Love” was done in a youthful manner, “Viva Elvis” does have the typical flyers we’re used to seeing, but the feel of the show is more that of a Broadway musical. Home movies along with countless other film reels are shown throughout the production and all of the singers are live, with the exception of the King himself. “Elvis had a unique relationship with his adoring fans in Vegas,” said Guy Laliberté, founder of Cirque du Soleil. “And a large part of our mission is to recreate the excitement and the spirit of joy he generated here.” For the adults, there is a new risqué show that they’ve recently added at the New York – New York. “Zumanity” brings out the more provocative side of Cirque du Soleil. Using a cabaret style, there is no actual story line, but rather each scene is themed by different elements of sexuality. Before the show begins, a few of the characters make their entrance via the theatre itself, interacting with onlookers as they tease and taunt their way to the stage. Each of the performers is unique in their personalities and appearances, promoting the idea that beauty comes in all shapes and sizes.

Everyone knows that booking a vacation can be one of the most stressful things a person can undertake. First you have to figure out when you want to go, then spend days trying to find rooms, flights, and entertainment that coincide with each other. It can take forever, and you may not even get what you want. Sometimes you have to sacrifice one thing for another depending on times and bookings, or simply because airfare or hotel fare those days may be just too expensive. The best way to get everything you want, and possibly more, is to book a vacation package. Most packages include at least airfare, hotel, and even a rental car. You can compare prices on some sites such as Travelocity.com or Hotwire.com. These sites offer discounts on all means needed for vacations when booking as a package. There’s also the method of booking packages directly through the hotel/casino you plan on staying at. They run promotions all the time that may also include tickets to shows, meal deals, credits for the casinos, and much more. Also, if you sign up for their emails, they will send steeper deals to your inbox directly. The deals they send to your inbox may not include packages, but at times they are known to offer rooms as low as $30/night, so if you book the room at that cost, you could still get a great deal on an airfare and rental car package that will be cheaper in the long run. You have the option as well to go through a travel agent. They, too, can sometimes have extra perks they can offer in with the packages depending on when you plan on travelling. Agents tend to get discounts anyway at hotels and they pass that discount onto you. The only downside to using an agent is of course, the fees they tack on. Plus, unless you know them personally or they’ve come recommended, they may not be experienced enough to get you the best deal possible. No matter where you choose to buy your package from, it is definitely the best way to make you and your wallet happier! Just like buying in bulk saves you money, buying all of your travel needs together will do the same. Companies love to make money (obviously), and the more money you spend, the more gracious they can be. By the way, the same concept applies while in Vegas; casinos reward those that spend money on the floor. Just a little inside tip to help you out!

Caesar’s Palace in Las Vegas is by far one of the most spectacular of all the casinos. It’s located directly off of the strip and is a sight to behold. You’re met with wonderful and awe-inspiring fountains. As you stroll alongside the fountains to the main entrance, you feel as if you truly are walking into a royal palace. The game floor is typical of all casinos in Las Vegas, but what I truly recommend is making your way straight ahead to the Forum Shops. Once you enter, it’s like you’re in a whole other world. A beautiful sky painting covers the entire ceiling of the Forum, which encompasses a great deal of the downstairs of the hotel. Several fountains inspired by roman and Greek architecture can be found around every corner. Cobblestone streets and huge columns add to the ambiance. The shops are very high end, but if you can make your way to the back, not only will you be treated to the delectable Cheesecake Factory, but while you sit savoring your choice of close to a hundred choices of cheesecake, the sky suddenly grows dark, and a booming voice silences the crowds. It is Zeus, and he is not at all pleased. The spectacular show that ensues is full of fire, water, and lighting effects. It doesn’t last too long (as you’d most likely get indigestion if it did!), but it’s something you will never forget. There are several bars and clubs to visit but once stands out among all others. Right off of the casino floor is a large ship – it’s actually a dance floor! The back side offers seating where you can get drinks served, but the best part is the front which serves as the dance floor itself. Every so often while a song is playing, the entire front of the ship begins to rock! Hang on, and try to look as appealing as possible as you’re lightly tossed about. So much fun and quite unexpected if no one warns you first! Now that you’ve had your fun, it’s time to retire to your beautiful suite upstairs. Caesar’s Palace actually offers a different variety of styles of rooms. Everything from classic roman to modern, whatever your taste may be. Wake the next morning and go lay out by the pool as you nurse the, um, memories of the night before. Take a quick dip, probably a nap, and start all over again!

Okay, so everyone knows of the insane amount of gambling opportunities available around the entire city of Las Vegas. And most know of the shopping as well as some of the more famous eating establishments. However, some forget, or perhaps never even realized the amount of entertainment that happens every night in almost every hotel along the Strip. One of the more famous, or rather infamous shows that most never want to miss is the Blue Man Group. Yes, they are completely blue in case you were wondering! Known for their improvisation and odd musical theatrics, this group of entertainers has yet to ever disappoint. Located within the Venetian, they are most assuredly a staple of Las Vegas herself. If you were to wander over to Caesar’s Palace, you can find the adult-themed (and no, I don’t mean it in an X-rated sense!) carnival, Absinthe. This is a show that you actually get to participate in. They take you back to the early 20th century Europe and allow you, in their own twisted way, to experience as it was then. A secret speakeasy, a rowdy beer garden and mischievous drinking games including “Flip Stein” and “Champagne Pong.” Then, as night falls the true show unfolds and surrounds you in this 360 degrees of fun. A spectacular sight to behold is the pirate action at the Treasure Island Hotel and Casino. Set out front in the Siren’s Cove, every night the beautiful sirens lure the pirates to their doom with their alluring songs. Soon, a large tempest falls upon the unsuspecting fellows and a battle ensues. You get a front row seat to one of the most awe-inspiring sights you could ever see. Music, sword fights, acrobatics, and all upon or around a full-sized pirate ship. The best thing about this attraction is it’s completely free! The show takes place several times a night so all you have to do is make sure you’re out front to witness all the action. As far as purchasing tickets for these events, you could wait until you arrive and simply purchase them at the casinos they’re located in; however your chances are slim since most shows sell out every night. Your best bet is to go online to places like Visitlasvegas.com where you can get tickets to all the best shows without worrying about whether they’re still available.

Some people prefer more of a home setting when visiting the Vegas area, as opposed to constant chaos that envelops the Strip. For these types of people, there is a large assortment of vacation homes available. Some are located right along the main Strip (as it’s called) where all the action is, while others are a bit further out in places such as Summerlin, Henderson, and Green Valley. Each of these suburbs has its own charms and a different view that could lend to easing the tension of gambling all day long. If you happen to prefer to be closer to the casinos and wish for more of an apartment type residence, there is a great place located right next to the Hard Rock Hotel on Paradise Rd. Holiday Royale Residences offer a variety of apartment living while you stay in Las Vegas. Everything from a simple Studio to an entire townhouse. They also have the option of weekly or monthly rentals which works well with the average traveler. Prices vary from $185/week for the Studio, all the way up to $1300/month for the townhouse. All utilities are included, so it’s like having a second home while you take in all that Vegas has to offer. Now to get further away from the heart of the city and into one of the suburbs and a little bit more luxurious settings, try booking one of the homes through Las Vegas Retreats. These beautiful homes come with pools, game rooms, large screen t.v., and more. Breathtaking scenery surrounds you as you gaze at the wonder of the desert life, which does include more than just sand! The mountain views alone will take your breath away when the sun sets on a warm summer night and the desert is aglow with something other than neon signs. No one should visit Las Vegas without taking in all that the Strip and its surroundings has to offer, but at the end of the day, when you’ve been overloaded by all of the bustle and the crowds, it’s nice to come “home”, kick off your shoes and simply relax on a nice sofa in front of a television screen you don’t have to squint to see. And nothing beats heading off to bed without the noise of the people in the room next to you who’ve seem to have forgotten that it’s three in the morning. You can rise in the morning, fresh and ready to take in more of the wonderful city.

This rockin’ hotel is, of course, based on the Hard Rock Café. Located on an adjacent street to the strip, you get all of the action, without the constant traffic outside your window. However, if you wish to walk to the strip, it’s literally right around the corner! The rooms boast a super modern and sophisticated style fit for any rock star, or aspiring one. Decadence is the theme without the whole hotel, and you’re sure to feel like Hollywood royalty at every turn. One of the best places to eat while staying at the Hard Rock Hotel is 35 Steaks + Martinis. Seriously, that’s the name! As with the rest of the hotel, the dining room is totally modern and the cuisine is the finest around. Their signature dish is the Tomahawk Steak which is aged 35 days and, fitting for the name, is an amazing 35 ounces of mouthwatering beef. For those with a taste for Japanese cuisine, try out Nobu whose owner and chef is well known for his modern take on traditional Japanese dishes. The house specialty is a Three-day Marinated Cod seared and served with sweet miso sauce. That sounds absolutely delicious! Now, anyone can experience Vegas and all of its wonders above ground, but have you ever tried looking underground?! At the Hard Rock Hotel, they have an actual underground bar and dance club. You descend a huge staircase that leads you down into the depths of Las Vegas herself. The first thing to enter your vision as you descend is the luminescent crystal chandelier. It offers an intimate experience and for those that want a little more privacy, they have The Parlor for separate parties. So, what do you do after a night of dancing, drinking, and getting crazy? You go hang out by one of the beautiful pools the hotel has to offer. Palm trees surround the entire area, giving it the feeling of being in a tropical paradise. Cabanas are available for those who feel a little sun-shy, or who want to host larger groups. You’re in Las Vegas, after all. It just wouldn’t be right if you left without a tan! And last, but most certainly not least, let me tell you about the variety of shops available inside the hotel itself (you could really experience all of Vegas without ever leaving the hotel!). From lingerie to fine jewelry and even rock n roll gear. Oh, and did I mention a tattoo parlor as well? Anyone can come to Las Vegas to gamble, but to truly experience it, you have to live it, and the Hard Rock Hotel gives you that full experience you can remember for a lifetime.

Welcome to Rediscover Las Vegas which is here to walk you through the wonderfully playful city and help you plan a trip that you will surely remember for a lifetime. Our blogs will inform and inspire as well as offer a few insider tips that can make your experience even better. We want to help you discover all of the wonder this city has locked away behind the doors of its hotels and casinos and even help make it more affordable so you can play even harder. Whether you decide to fly and arrive in the airport to hear the jingle of slot machines (yes, in the airport!), or if you’re driving in and pass the original neon sign welcoming you to Sin City, there is no mistaking when you’ve finally arrived in “The Entertainment Capital of the World,” Las Vegas. It is known the world over as the ultimate adult playground, and it not only lives up to its reputation, but exceeds every expectation you could possibly have. Las Vegas officially became a city in 1911, and by the end of the 20th century had been named the most populated city in the U.S. Known for its legacy of old time gangster and mob affiliations, this city, though as modern as can be, has history around every corner. The original casino, The Mirage, still stands today, as does Freemont Street with the overhead light show that never stops.
