    • ]]>     Another lazy Sunday afternoon project.

    My Myriah Carey jeans cause great hilarity amongst my family as I had cut off the waist band because they were Harry Highpants. I wear them often and they have become faded, plain and boring. Too comfortable to throw out it was time to upcycle them.

    I have a collection of old retro ties that I have purchased from thrift stores. For this project I picked a tie with similar colour tonings to the jeans. I used one tie and pinned it to the cuff of my jeans. I wanted to keep the integrity of the tie intact so I have left the triangle points as a features.

    One cuff is thin and the other thick. For me it is not important that they are not identical. For me it is about re-telling the story of this tie in a new way.

    Create your own Myriah jeans. Experiment and have fun.

    • ]]>     Our neighbour had this old 1955 Vespa stocked on his outside waste spot. We asked him one day if we could have it to turn it into a vintage flower pot and he agreed. The vibe from Audry’s Hepburn and Gregory Peck’s movie ” Roman holiday ” is now very present on our outdoor terrace.
    The Vespa is completely covered by rests of glass tiles that were left over from our bath rooms making this an all weather resistent garden feature full of nostalgic glamour.

    • ]]>     So I had this huge 15 liter (~4 US gallon) bottle laying around in my home and had to use it somehow… Then, one day, after seeing countless upcycling ideas for wine and other bottles it struck me!
    The result is quite satisfying for me, hope it is so for you too and maybe even gives some inspiration!
    Too bad I can’t find a proper place for it in my house so it is most likely going to be sold…
