To remind you, there will be three rounds featuring six different singers and each round they will be offered money to either accept and walk away or decline and hope the 101 on The Winner Is 2013 voted them the winner and move on to the next round. This is a great show and I am a fan. Let;s get it started!

ROUND ONE

The Newman Twins vs. Jesse Pringle

The twins do everything together and Jesse recently lost his job, so he is looking for money to help provide for his family! The Newman Twins gets things started by singing “Proud Mary” by Tina Turner. This is such a huge song and everyone has sung it at one time on all these type of shows, so it has to be something unique for me to enjoy it and it was just good to me…nothing special. Jesse sings “As Long As You Love Me” by Justin Bieber. He looks like a big dork with how he is dressed, but he has some good vocals on him and I am picking him as the winner. Who do you pick?

Gina Wagner vs. Ben Nichols

Ever since Gina was a little girl she knew she wanted to be a country singer. Her Dad is struggling financially right now and she wants that money for her Dad and she said she has a hidden talent, but what is it? Ben has a lucky pair of red basketball shorts he wears under anything! Think he has them on tonight? Gina sings “I Want To Be A Cowboy’s Sweetheart” by Patsy Montana. She has a great country voice and does some yodeling, which I am assuming is her hidden talent? Ben sings “Closer” by Ne-Yo. He has a great voice, but it is a lot like the original. This is a battle of singers from complete opposite ends of the spectrum, so I am not sure.

Legaci vs. Leah Grace

Legaci is a group of friends that wanted to get together to show their love for R&B music. Leah is only ten years old and been singing for about a year! She claims she is a little girl with a lot of soul! Legaci kicks it off and sings “No One” by Alicia Keys. They sound good as a group, but I am thinking they need something special to compete with a ten year old girl, right? Leah sings “Who’s Loving You” by The Jackson 5. She starts out rough, but kicks it in and it is a good performance, but I would pick Legaci over her. She needs more practice.

The Winner Is: Leah Grace

That is the end of Round 1 on The Winner Is on NBC and Leah and Gina are tied for the high score, so the 101 votes on both of them to see who gets fast-tracked to the final round tonight. In a 59 to 42 vote, the 101 picks Leah and she is moving on to the final round!

ROUND TWO

Jesse Pringle vs. Gina Wagner

In the second round, Nick Lachey brings up their friends and families to support them. Jesse sings “It Will Rain” by Bruno Mars. He has the voice similar to Bruno and this was a great rendition of the hit song. You look at him and don’t imagine that voice coming out of him, but he does a great job. Gina sings “Total Eclipse Of The Heart” by Bonnie Tyler. She wanted to show that she could sing more than country and she does a good job and this one I am torn on. I think we may have our first close vote on The Winner Is 2013!

FINAL ROUND

Leah Grace vs. Gina Wagner

The winner of this round will win a spot in the $1 million season finale of The Winner Is on NBC! Leah sings “Born This Way” by Lady Gaga. Leah confuses me! One second she can sound amazing, but then the next second she can sound a little rough to me. She has a great voice for a ten-year-old, but is it enough to win tonight? Gina sings “These Boots Are Made For Walking” by Nancy Sinatra. I feel the same way with Gina. Some notes she sounds so good on, but then is rough in other parts. I was more impressed with Leah and I am picking her as the winner. What do you think?

Offer: $50,000. Gina is not sure and her Dad said that Leah is a crowd favorite tonight and she should maybe take the money. Leah’s Mom is letting her daughter decide on this one. Gina takes the $50,000, but it was the wrong choice as the 101 picked Gina the winner! Since she took the money though, Leah is moving on!!!

Going into tonight, it seems like it could be anyone’s game to lose. Danielle Bradbery started the season strong and was the first singer to crack the Top 10 on iTunes, but then Michelle Chamuel and The Swon Brothers have both held their own on the iTunes charts, with The Swon Brothers coming in at #2 and #8 last week, but who wins The Voice 2013? One thing is for certain: they won’t come from Team Shakira or Team Adam, as both coaches have been eliminated.

Blake Shelton is going for his third win in a row, but Usher will be fighting hard to win during his first season. Blake has two performers tonight, so he has an advantage, but it could hurt him too. Michelle’s votes aren’t split between anyone else, so the country vote could hurt Team Blake’s two finalists.

Last week on The Bachelorette 2013, in case you were sleeping in a cave all week, you missed the fact that Brian Jarosinski came to win the final rose from Bachelorette Desiree, but he forgot to mention that he left a girlfriend back at home to pursue Des! It all came out last week and it was not pretty (and I guess a lot worse than what we saw). Brian was sent packing, along with Brandon (who caused some major drama at his exit and he was definitely not ready to go) and Dan (who made me even question how he made it to Week 3 and I had no clue who he was). 

It’s a new week on The Bachelorette 2013 and the group will be heading to Atlantic City and it will feature Juan Pablo in a Speedo. You can’t complain about that one, right? There will be others in swim trunks and Speedos, so don’t miss it! We have abs on top of abs tonight, so come watch with us in our recap starting soon!

Here we go…tonight’s episode starts with host Chris Harrison coming in and talking with the guys. There are three dates and roses available at all dates and he tells them they are leaving the mansion and headed to their first stop on their destination: Atlantic City!

Des is already in Atlantic City and knows this is a huge week for her, as two more guys will be going home tonight on The Bachelorette Season 9. The guys arrive and get the first date card, which is for Brad. She comes and picks him up and the guys all think he is not a good fit for her.

They head out to the Boardwalk and ride some rides and they seem to be having a lot of fun. They eat some salt water taffy, but then Des smells some chocolate and they go searching for it. They find it and are having fun, but back at the hotel Zak W. is watching from the window and can see them on their date. Do we have a replacement creeper for Brandon?

Time for them to head to the beach and they have a sand castle made for them. Des wants him to find that girl who can complete his family, but is she that girl? The conversation seems a little awkward, so will he be getting that rose, though? They head out and eat some dinner and it is more awkward silence and Des is torn about things right now.

Back at the hotel, the guys get the next date card, which is a group date for Brooks, Bryden, Zack K., Kasey, Drew, Juan Pablo, Zak. W., Mikey T., Ben, Michael G. and Chris. That means that James gets the final one-on-one date tonight.

All the anticipation and talking by the guys is leading me to think that Brad will not be getting a rose tonight, right? They now head to the top of the lighthouse and all we see is the guys back at the hotel talking about connection and Brad not being good for her, so the rose will not be given out…this is easy to see. Des tells Brad that she had a great time, but she didn’t feel that connection and she has to say goodbye to him! We have an early exit tonight on The Bachelorette 2013, huh? And he gets in the taxi and is headed home to his son.

Time for the group date on The Bachelorette 2013 and they meet her at Boardwalk Hall. They head in and meet Chris Harrison, who is standing with Miss America! Boardwalk Hall was the birthplace to the Miss America Pageant and now the 11 guys will be competing in their own Mr. America Pageant. They will be judged on their interview and their talent. They are going to be helped by Miss America and pageant coach Christopher Dean. 

Let the fun begin, as the bachelors try to figure out their talent: Juan Pablo can toss a baton, Zak W. wrote a song for this experience and now he will put it to a song, Chris grabs some heels, Drew is doing some Shakespeare and Kasey is doing some tap dancing.

They get some prep work on the interview portion and Chris is still working those heels! I love it and you cans ee his sense of humor more! There will be another part of the competition, as the swim trunks and Speedos are brought out. Ben gets a Speedo, but wants to switch it out! The pageant will be in front of a live audience!!! How crazy for these guys???

The pageant is about to begin and the audience is present! The nerves are starting to kick in for the guys. The judges are Miss America 2013, the Atlantic City mayor and Des. The first portion is the interview portion and Kasey is first. Brooks seems to bring out some big laughs from Des. Chris screws up, but he is funny about it. Mikey T. tries to get his message out that he is sensitive and not a piece of meat!

Time for the talent portion: Kasey does some tap dancing and it was bad, but he made it work. Brooks takes a ukulele and sings some silly song and the crowd loves him. Zak W. does great on his song and Chris worked it in the heels.

Time for the swimsuit portion and it goes by way too fast, right? Now time for the winner. The judges discuss and the second runner-up is Brooks. The first runner-up is Zak W. and the winner of The Bachelorette’s Mr. America 2013 is Kasey! I was kind of rooting for Zak W.

Time for the night portion of the date and she gives props to them all for doing a great job. Now let the drama begin with Ben! Chris steals her away first and wants to show that he has a serious side to go with the guy in the heels. He writes poetry and shared a poem with her. She writes too, so she loved it and they share a kiss. All the other guys take Des to a private spot, but Ben gets his alone time and does it right in front of the other guys. He shows off a necklace he had made of his son’s thumbprint, but the other guys say he mentions his bar more than his son.

Zak W. gets some time with Des and apparently he could only sing half of the song at the pageant, so he sings the second half for her and he is hoping that he gets that rose tonight for the group date. She seemed to love it and it is a good song. She is back with all the guys and the rose goes to Zak W., so he did work it out! All the guys want the rose, but they work it out by jumping in the pool. Bryden didn’t get any time with Des and he is not happy about it!

Now the one-on-one date for James Case on The Bachelorette 2013. She comes to pick him up and today’s date will be a little bit different, as they meet a lady from the American Red Cross. They will be looking at the Jersey Shore and what Hurricane Sandy did to it. The destruction is terrible and it puts it into perspective what the storm did to the area. Things are demolished!

They now hit the ground and see the devastation on the ground. I remember going to New Orleans after Hurricane Katrina and how bad it was in person, so I could only imagine. They then meet a couple whose house was ruined in the storm and hear their story. They go in and look at the house and I am over it. Yes it was bad, but this is The Bachelorette 2013 and who wants to see this?

Their anniversary happened on the day of the storm, so Des and James discuss and they decide to give their date to the couple so they can enjoy a day to themselves. It was a nice moment, but you know they will still get a date!

We know see the couple enjoying their date from Des and James, as they are at a little shop and enjoying some pizza and beer. Des does some talking and he feels they are on the same page, so he goes in for a kiss. Now comes out the truth, as he tells Des that he was in a relationship for five years and he cheated on her his freshman year of college!!! It happened to Des and it hurt her a lot, so did James just hurt himself? He said he would never do it again and he is ready for a family.

Back to the married couple and they are surprised with a photo album of their wedding pictures that was destroyed in the storm. They will never forget this moment, but will I?

Now Des and James meet with the married couple and share a moment together and they Des gives them one more surprise. They get a private concert from Darius Rucker. They had a fantastic day and will never forget it. Back to James and Des and she had a great date, so she gives him the rose! Once a cheater always a cheater though, right?

Now it is time for the cocktail party and Bryden is feeling a little unsure right now. He said he needs some time with her tonight or he may not accept the rose tonight from her if she gives him one. Michael G. does a little gesture for Des and spells out her name and gives a word for each letter, so she loved it.

Now Bryden wants to talk to Des and tell her he is thinking of going home. Maybe because he has the girlfriend at home??? He talks with her and said he loved the first date and it seems that it has gone downhill since then and he wants to know she wants him on The Bachelorette 2013. She said she wants him there, so I guess he is staying….for now!

Time for the Rose Ceremony on The Bachelorette Season 9 and Zak W. and James have a rose already and she gives a rose to: Chris, Brooks, Juan Pablo, Drew, Michael G., Ben, Kasey, Bryden (and he accepts) and Mikey T.

That means that Zack K. is going home on The Bachelorette 2013 and he joins Brad, who was sent home on the first one-on-one date. Do you agree with her choices tonight?

We have a battle between Team Blake and Team Usher, as Adam Levine and Shakira get to sit back and just watch the performances along with us. Who are you most excited to see perform tonight?

Besides the performances from the Top 3, we will also see The Voice Season 4 coaches take the stage for another performance together. Here we go…things start out by taking a look back at the Top 3 from this season and then the Season 4 coaches take the stage and perform “With A Little Help From My Friends” by Joe Cocker. Another great performance by the coaches on The Voice 2013. Usher can hit some big notes.

Now some words of wisdom from the coaches before we get to the performances tonight on The Voice USA Season 4.

First Performance

The Swon Brothers (Team Blake) – “Can’t Tell You Why” by The Eagles

They are the first duo to make it to the live shows on The Voice and now they have made it all the way to the finale! What I like best about The Swon Brothers is when they take a serious song and sing it well. This is what they did here, as they nailed this song. It was very good vocals and they showed some good range!

Michelle Chamuel (Team Usher) – “I Knew You Were Trouble” by Taylor Swift

One performance tonight will be a reprisal from a performance this season and Usher picks the Taylor Swift song for Michelle. You can honestly see the love between Usher and Michelle in the videos. He is a proud papa! I loved this performance the first time and it is even better the second time around. This is a song that should be on her album and the type of album she should make, right?

Danielle Bradbery (Team Blake) – “Timber, I’m Falling In Love” by Patty Loveless

We see Blake spend some time with Danielle and her family and then the two take the stage, as the coaches will be singing a song with their artists. This is an awkward song choice for me…anyone else? I’m falling in love? They do sound good together and she shows off that country voice with Blake and it blends well together. A good start for Danielle, but I can’t get past the song choice!

Second Performance

The Swon Brothers (Team Blake) – “Danny’s Song” by Loggins and Messina

Blake thought this was a defining moment for them on The Voice USA Season 4. So, this was a defining moment for them, but it just happened last week? Seems a bit odd to me, but I did love this song and it was another great performance. Maybe Blake chose it because it did so well on iTunes and he hopes it will bring even more sales for a win?

Michelle Chamuel (Team Usher) – “Why” by Annie Lennox

Usher thinks he found his diamond in the rough with Michelle and I agree! Michelle said this is a song full of emotion and Usher thinks she can handle it and so do I. What you need on the finale of any singing competition show is an amazing performance that will get people to vote for you. I think we just witnessed that with Michelle Chamuel on The Voice 2013. The emotion was there, but it always is. This performance gave me chills and I am Team Michelle!

The Swon Brothers (Team Blake) – “Celebrity” by Brad Paisley

Apparently we get another performance from The Swon Brothers before we see Danielle Bradbery again. We see lunch with the Swon family and you can see where they get their sense of humor from. This was a fun song and they were having fun with their coach on that stage. It was an upbeat song and I am not a huge fan of them doing these type of songs. This was alright, but can it win them votes?

Third Performance

Danielle Bradbery (Team Blake) – ” Maybe It Was Memphis” by Pam Tillis

This was a defining moment for Danielle, so good job on this song choice Blake. This goes all the way back to the Live Playoffs on The Voice USA Season 4. She sounded great on this song and it defined what she would do while on the show. She sounds great again and I am anxious to see her last performance tonight.

The Swon Brothers, Michelle Chamuel and Danielle Bradbery – “Home” by Edward Sharpe & The Magnetic Stripes

For the last time, the Top 3 take the stage together and perform. This was a great song and it was sung very well. They are joined by the other Top 16 contestants from Season 4 and make it a family reunion on The Voice stage.

Michelle Chamuel (Team Usher) – ” One” by U2

We see Usher enjoying some dinner with Michelle’s family and he ends it with saying he sees more of these dinners in their future and I totally can see it happening. I think Usher is going to take Michelle under his wing and let her fly and I can’t wait for it. This is a great performance and I love this song.

Danielle Bradbery (Team Blake) – “Born To Fly” by Sara Evans

Blake said this is her message and that is what she needs to think when she is performing it. I have said this all season long, but Danielle has a great voice and she can sing. What I love to hear in a performance is the emotion. I think she is too young to connect to some of the songs and she does that with this. Great vocals, but I feel nothing from her. I think she just needs more experience, but she probably will win.

For their one-on-one date, it looks like Des is going to take James on a helicopter ride to see the damage done to the East Coast from Hurricane Sandy. They also get to meet a couple that has been married for 38 years and had everything destroyed in the storm! They are living in the Red Cross shelter and spend some time with Des and James on The Bachelorette 2013.

The night ends with a private concert from Darius Rucker, who has made a name for himself in the country world after being famous for Hootie and The Blowfish. Will the concert go to Des and James or will they make it a special night for the married couple and give it to them?

These three artists have to be on a high, after just finding out they beat out everyone else and will be singing for your votes tonight in hopes of being named the winner of The Voice USA Season 4. This pageant, now called a competition, was a fun night hosted by Giuliana Rancic and Nick Jonas. With Nick co-hosting the event, we got a special appearance by The Jonas Brothers, who sang their new single. Celebrity judges helped decide the winner of 2013 Miss USA and here were your Top 5:

• Miss Illinois Stacie Juris
• Miss South Carolina Megan Pinckney
• Miss Connecticut Erin Brady

For a special tweeting vote, viewers could vote to send their favorite into the finals, so Miss Texas Ali Nugent won that and made it a Top 6 on Miss USA 2013!

With that being said, the winner of Miss USA 2013 is Miss Connecticut Erin Brady!

She replaces Olivia Culpo, who not only served as Miss USA, but also won the crown as Miss Universe. I guess she has some big shoes to fill, huh? Congrats to Erin Brady!

The movie takes us to the year 2154, where the world is divided into two. We have Earth, where everyone is fighting and trying to survive among the poverty, but then there is Elysium, where the privileged and there is no crime, no poverty and no sickness. It is the perfect world, but only the rich are allowed. Matt Damon needs to save his daughter, so he will do anything to get her up to Elysium.

The movie is directed by Neill Blomkamp, the Oscar-nominated director of District 9. This is Neill’s first movie since District 9 and Elysium 2013 might be a winner too. Again, this is a movie I would not be excited to see normally, but this Elysium movie trailer looks intense and good. Check it out:

I’ll be the first to admit that I was not rooting for Desiree to be named the new Bachelorette and I thought runner-up Lindsay Yenter would have been a more fun choice, but I don’t work at ABC and my thoughts were not listened to. It appears not many people enjoy Desiree as The Bachelorette 2013, as ratings are bombing this season, but ABC is hoping they improve once The Voice wraps up Season 4 this week.

According to the June 17th print edition of STAR magazine, a source claims the guys were miserable. The behind-the-scenes source said the guys thought Des was boring and they could be dating someone sexier back at home, which some of them even were! They wanted that final rose though because it meant some time in the spotlight and they could gain the fame they all went on the show seeking! The source went on to say that it was impossible for any of the guys to form a connection with Des because that was not even possible to do!

I don’t know how this all qualifies Desiree as the ugliest Bachelorette ever, but I will disagree with that one. By no means is she ugly. She may be boring, but I think she is just a normal, girl-next-door and doesn’t bring that drama that people like to watch on the show. The guys are bringing the drama though, so that helps a little. Des won’t end up with any of the guys this season, but will anyone be shocked?
