Ice Cube Back With Tyler Perry! “Are We There Yet” Coming to TBS!

With the massive success of Tyler Perry’s “House of Payne” and “Meet The Browns” on TBS, the cable network is banking on another breakout comedy. TBS has ordered 10 episodes of the Revolution Studios film “Are We There Yet”. Ice Cube will be working behind the scenes on this and Terry Crews from TV’s “Everybody Hates Chris” will lead the cast. TV Foodie and Talk Host Rachael Ray Recovers from Surgery!!

TV food and talk show host Rachael Ray is on the mend after surgery to remove a benign cyst from her vocal cord. The procedure was a complete success and the feisty one should be back doing her thing (and with her schedule that’s a lot of things) in the next couple of weeks. TNT and Dylan McDermott Start Cop Thriller “Dark Blue” Tonight

Neil Patrick Harris and The Emmys have made it official. The star of “How I Met Your Mother,” will host the 61st Annual Primetime Emmys on Sept. 20th on CBS. “How I Met Your Mother”, the hit comedy also runs on CBS.

Michael’s Daddy “Joe Jackson” Cashing in on Interview with ABC!!

And so it begins. Cashing in on Michael’s demise, ABC News has paid $200,000 for rights to video with Joe and Katherine Jackson, Michael Jackson’s Daddy and Mommy plus an updated interview with Joe Jackson. The video was shot more than a year ago apparently for the reality show planned for A & E.

ABC licensed the footage from the production company, and then went to Joe Jackson about getting an up to date interview and he or course agreed. Guess when you get nothing in the will you’d better get to steppin’ on making some of the money from your kid’s death.

Hey why not! Or is Joe just lower than low taking cash at such an awful time for the family?

“Grey’s Anatomy” in Space! Science Fiction Series “Defying Gravity” on ABC-TV

Described as “Grey’s Anatomy in Space,” ABC has picked up the Canadian TV science fiction series “Defying Gravity.” The space thriller will make air Sunday August 2nd. The international ensemble cast is led by Ron Livingston (left in photo) as Antares flight engineer Maddux Donner.

ABC will start the series Sunday August 2nd with a two-hour premiere 9-11 PM Eastern/Pacific and will be seen 10- 11PM starting Sunday August 9th.

Is this another Star Trek? And “Grey’s Anatomy” in space is the way this one has been described. Remember to tune in on August 2nd and discuss that night and the next day!

Ryan Seacrest Gets Big Bucks with “American Idol”

19 Entertainment has reached a contract extension with “American Idol” host Ryan Seacrest. $45 million for the next three seasons plus a million signing bonus (who is this guy, Lebron? Kobe?). 19 Entertainment paid $15 million for all Seacrest’s marketing rights related to American Idol so why not own the guy completely, right! That $15,000,000 per per year is a nice raise from the $5,000,000 per year he was making from the show in previous seasons. Might be time for him to dump radio and concentrate on his TV projects.

YOU GO GIRL!! “The Wendy Williams Show” is Back!

Wendy Williams, the fiery, controversial and very cool lady Radio DJ started doing a TV show last summer in a six week test on Fox-owned TV stations in New York, Los Angeles, Detroit and Dallas and blew up! The show was a huge smash as they say in the radio business on WNYW New York, Wendy’s home market.

Can she be the next Maury? The next Oprah? This was an unexpected win for local TV and everyone is looking forward to whether Wendy can hold her own against the big boys and girls on daytime television.
