A graduate of Northeastern State University, he has an M.A. from Dallas Theological Seminary and is pursuing a doctorate from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary. Todd and his wife Jessica have traveled the United States speaking to college students about missions with The Traveling Team. For one year they also lived and traveled in the Arab world gaining insight into the status of Christian witness there. Todd recently transitioned to the position of International Director of The Traveling Team. In this position he seeks to use his agency’s resources in countries such as Philippines, Singapore, and Indonesia. Todd and Jessica have been married for eight years and have one daughter. Coming alongside numerous non-Western ministries in the least Christian regions of the world, he seeks to provide training and equipping resources for them. While he often does some of this training himself, Phil seeks to multiply this work by finding other equipping ministries that give away their expertise. As a result, PI's indigenous partners are becoming more proficient in numerous dimensions of ministry, including church planting, community development, leadership development, and organizational development. Phil served as missions pastor of the First Baptist Church in Modesto, California from 1980 to 1995. After this, he and his family served as missionaries in Ethiopia with SIM, focusing on training nationals for cross-cultural work within and outside of Ethiopia. Since 2000, Phil has served with Partners International in Spokane, Washington. Phil earned his D.Miss from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School in Chicago. Phil has traveled to more than 60 countries around the world. Much of Bob’s teaching is in audio, video, and book form. He has co-authored Cat and Dog Theology (Gabriel, 2003) with Gerald Robison as well as Unveiled At Last, (YWAM, 1988) which has been translated into Russian, Korean and Japanese. He has also co-authored Run with the Vision (Bethany House, 1995) with Bill and Amy Stearns. Bob has been instrumental in founding Caleb Project, an organization geared toward mobilizing the body of Christ toward the Great Commission, as well as Frontiers, an interdenominational faith mission agency geared toward church-planting in the Muslim world. His heart has always been toward raising up laborers to help fulfill the Great Commission in order that God’s greatest glory would be revealed among all nations.
