The Beatles – Let It Be (1970)

Let It Be was the last album LP released by the Beatles as a group, even though it was recorded prior to Abbey Road. Published in the United Kingdom, was released on May 8, 1970.

This is a controversial album from conception: once they stopped playing live in 1966 by the inability to translate their music on stage, the Beatles set out to record an album to play one last live concert, perhaps in a vessel or a public place. Therefore, the recording sessions for the album (which was then called Get Back, referring to the return to roots rock and rollers of the group) began to be filmed in 1969 by director Michael Lindsay-Hogg. The trials were tense, with constant discussion among group members, since his previous albums denoted coexistence increasingly worse and more hostile to each other.

In 2003, Rolling Stone put it in the post 86 in its list of the 500 greatest albums of all time.

Abbey Road is the twelfth studio album by British rock band The Beatles, considered by many his masterpiece, published in 1969. The recordings at Abbey Road began in April 1969, making this the last album recorded by the band since Let It Be, released in 1970, had been previously recorded. It was released on September 26, 1969 in the United Kingdom, and 1 October of that year in the United States.

The album was produced and orchestrated by George Martin, Geoff Emerick as a recording engineer and Tony Banks as a tape operator. He also participated as an assistant recording, Alan Parsons.

The album is characterized by the presence of a B-side medley, a long piece of 16 minutes, consisting of eight songs linked one after another in succession. The album also noted to contain two of the best known songs of guitarist George Harrison, “Something” and “Here Comes the Sun”, the latter popularizing the synthesizer (Moog) in the rock. The cover of the album became one of the most famous in the history of music, which represented the Beatles crossing a crosswalk at the intersection of Grove End Road and Abbey Road street, compared to studies where all the songs recorded since 1962.

He is considered one of the best produced albums by The Beatles, though the band was barely functioning as a united group at that time. In 2003, ranked No. 14 on the list by Rolling Stone magazine of the 500 greatest albums of all time.

Yellow Submarine is an album by British rock band The Beatles released in early 1969. In contrast to the richness of the animated film Yellow Submarine, this album was seen as an effort grayer, and that, rather than a studio album, was just the soundtrack of the film.

With the reissue of the film in 1999, was released a new version of the album, entitled Yellow Submarine Songtrack, which included all the items contained in the film of the same name, which replaced the orchestral parts of George Martin.

At the time the album was launched, much of what it contained was not new. “Yellow Submarine” had already appeared in Revolver in August 1966. “All You Need is Love” was a hit single in 1967, an issue that had also appeared on the U.S. album Magical Mystery Tour later that year. “Only A Northern Song” was originally written for the Sgt Pepper and largely had been recorded in February 1967. “It’s All Too Much” was recorded just before Sgt Pepper came out, but was shortened (took eight minutes) for Yellow Submarine. “Hey Bulldog” (recorded in February 1968) and “All Together Now” (recorded May 1967) do seem to be written especially for the occasion, but Lennon had refused the first, recorded during the making of promotional clip of “Lady Madonna.”

Side 2 of the album Yellow Submarine had orchestral arrangements (recorded specifically for the album) by George Martin.

“Across the Universe” would be included initially in the album, but was rejected at the last minute and left aside until the disc came out in Let It Be, 1970. According to some sources, the Beatles Yellow Submarine had considered launching a five-track EP, not the score of the film but including “Across the Universe” as a bonus track.

The Beatles (known often under the title The White Album) is the ninth album by The Beatles and was released in 1968. This is the fourth of the band’s classic album. It is also the band’s first and only double album and contains no fewer than 30 songs.

Abummets unofficial title because the album cover is completely white – only group name is a little carelessly printed a slightly oblique on the front, while nothing is on the back. The median spread is however a very simple list of numbers, and four pictures: one of each of its members. The cover was designed by Richard Hamilton.

It was surely no coincidence that there are four single images and not a group photo. The fact was that although individual members were very creative period, there was great controversy across the group. All this public heard nothing about, and when the album came out, it was considered one of the best that has ever been published, as it stands in direct contrast to Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band to be a more back-to-basics album.

Rubber Soul is the sixth album by British rock band The Beatles, released in December 1965 by record company Parlophone in the UK and Capitol Records in the United States. It was recorded in only four weeks in order to take advantage of the Christmas market. It was the second album, after Please Please Me, to be recorded by their authors without being interrupted through no fault of the recording. From this record, all others were recorded by The Beatles to be bound album in its own right. Rubber Soul was described as a significant artistic achievement of the band, while taking critical and commercial success, and demonstrate the great progress made music that The Beatles had developed at that time.

Rubber Soul is often cited as one of the best albums in popular music history. In February 1998, readers of Q magazine voted it the 40th best record among the hundred best of all time, while in May 2008, readers of the same magazine had ranked number 21 among British Top 50. In 2001, the cable music network VH1 placed it at number 6 among the top one hundred of the story. In November 2003, Rolling Stone placed it at # 5 on its list of the 500 greatest albums of all time. In November 2006, the album was chosen by Time magazine as one of the best albums, along with four of the Beatles, the 60s, including a list of the 100 greatest albums of all time.

Help! the fifth album by the Beatles and the soundtrack to the eponymous film, which in the German under the title of Hi-Hi Help! came to the cinemas. It was published on 6 August 1965.

The album was released on the same Beatles film. The title of Help! had a serious importance in showing the film like it. John Lennon wrote Help! in a time when he himself no longer knew where he was the head. Drug use increased, the success spiraling to new heights and friend and foe were scarcely distinguishable. Especially Lennon observed a significant increase in weight, coupled with mild depression, he called his “Fat Elvis” phase. Thus, the song can really be understood as a cry for help.

On admission to You’ve Got to Hide Your Love Away was the first time – apart from Andy White at the opening of Love Me Do – a foreign musicians invited to the production, the song plays for a flute solo.

Beatles for Sale is the fourth album by the Beatles and on 4 Published in December 1964. It was produced by George Martin for Parlophone label.

This album was recorded at the time when Beatlemania was particularly strong. The Beatles were great on tour and have been forwarded from interview to interview and TV show to TV show. By the time consuming stress the Beatles accessed with this album back to old material, which they had already Cavern Club days in the repertoire. So they could take this new LP in a relatively short time.

The album, which contains many cover versions, marked the end of the first phase of artistic development of the Beatles. Remarkable is the large number of original compositions, which are lyrically gloomy mood into something kept (No Reply, I Do not Want to Spoil the Party or particularly I’ma Loser), held in the old tradition on the other hand pieces, such as Eight Days a Week, the was played optimistic I’ll Follow The Sun or the sly, ironic Baby’s in Black, which was one of the absolute duration burners Beatles concerts and even to the end of their live career.

A Hard Day’s Night is the third album by The Beatles, released in the UK July 10, 1964 as a soundtrack to their first film, which bears the same name (four boys in the wind in French). Only songs from the side of the record contained in the film, although those of the B side were also recorded for this purpose.

The album was released June 26 in the United States, edited by United Artists Records with a slight difference in the list of songs.

This is the first Beatles album to contain only original songs, all songs are credited to Lennon / McCartney. The album and film are a testament to the classic image of the Beatles, at the height of Beatlemania. Of all the Beatles albums, A Hard Day’s Night is the only one John Lennon is the main composer, having written ten of the thirteen songs on the album. Paul McCartney has composed Can not Buy Me Love, And I Love Her and Things We Said Today.

The album title is a poetic fault from Ringo Starr, this sentence is reused by John Lennon in his book In His Own Write.
