My latest post on the Click Here Blog is an introduction to Twitter Lists, and showcases a few of the more notable examples. Here's an excerpt:

"There are several ways that Twitter Lists are being used. We’ll look
at two very important differences in how people can utilize Twitter
Lists, private and public.

Private Twitter Lists
Private Twitter Lists are used to organize the people you’re already
following. For many people, this may be as simple as dividing up
co-workers and personal contacts. However, lists can be as granular as
you’d like them to be. Perhaps you’d like to split your followers into
west-coast and east-coast co-workers, or family, friends, co-workers
and celebrities. Quite simply, lists allow you to organize these folks
in any way you wish. Once you’ve organized them, you will see tweets
from all the folks in the list on one page.

Public Twitter Lists
Public Twitter Lists are more about shaping how others follow groups on
Twitter. We’ve only just scratched the surface of how these public
Twitter Lists can be used, but here are several key uses we’ve seen so
far:"

My latest blog post on the Click Here blog will help you understand what Google Wave is, and why it's important. Here's an excerpt:

"In anticipation of the first invites going out for Google Wave,
earlier this week Shawn Scarsdale, a Multimedia Developer at Click
Here, gave a great presentation to the agency to help us all understand
this new platform. As of yesterday, the Google Wave invites are out,
and already showing up on eBay. We thought this was a great opportunity
to share what we learned and answer questions you might have:

Q: What is Google Wave?
A: How email would look if it was invented today… and much more

This was the simple challenge the Google Wave team
started out with: What does email look like in the 21st century? The
answer was Google Wave, where communication is collaborative, brings in
the real-time aspect of instant messaging and the distribution of
communication that social media has made ubiquitous. If you prefer the
no-nonsense explanation of what the Google Wave is, watch this video."

Read the complete post, Q&A: Understanding Google Wave

Check out my latest post on the Click Here Blog, entitled "Facebook for iPhone & The Future of Mobile." It takes a look at how the new improvements in the Facebook iPhone App might give us a glimpse into the future of mobile. Here's an excerpt:

Every year, for the past 3 or 4 years, someone proclaims the next
twelve months will usher in a new era for mobile marketing… but it
never happens. Despite the fact that mobile is one of the most widely
adopted consumer technologies in the world, 2010 may once again not be
the year of mobile.

However, I’d suggest that smart brands who want to stay ahead of the
curve will notice that the mobile revolution has reached a crossroads,
and it’s being driven by Facebook.

Just today, Facebook announced that 1/4 of their monthly worldwide visits or 65 million visits, are via mobile.
You heard me right… Facebook has twice as many mobile visits as Twitter
has overall visits, and this number has tripled since December of last
year!

We will continue to see these numbers rise, and with Facebook’s
release this week of the new Facebook iPhone App. Here are some of the
new additions, and what they might mean for your brand"

Read the full post at the Click Here blog.

Audi is one of the latest brands to use their Facebook Page to engage fans. Their latest effort is the "Audi Design Challenge", in which Audi is calling for Facebook Fans to tell Audi what they'd like to see in the car of the future. Audi will use this feedback as a part of their participation in the LA auto show, where auto designers are competing to design a youth-oriented concept car for 2030. You can watch the video below:

As you can see, Audi has created a custom tab as a landing page for the deisgn challenge.

This custom area links directly to their Facebook Page discussion forums, which are filled with topics related to the concept car design challenge.

I'll be interested to see how vocal their Facebook Fan community is, and how they really integrate that feedback into the design. In theory, this is a great example of encouraging participation through Facebook fan community, instead of just blasting out marketing messages.

In it, Mayfield asks a simple question: "Do you speak social?" He makes a great argument that we're in a phase right now of understanding what it means to be "literate" in the social web. Mayfield also does a great job exploring what it means to be social web "illiterate", and how individuals and organizations can grow to become more literate in the social web.

"It wasn’t the invention of the printing press per se that caused a revolution; it was when everybody learned to read."
