Have you seen this video?

My friend Leah posted it on facebook this afternoon. I heard her story last week, it was all over the internet, so I’m sure you heard it to.

The one thing that stands out in my mind is how she felt watching the ultrasound and the comment she made about the clinic workers (if they saw a video how they would be running)

Do you think  if more women (and men) were aware of exactly what goes on during an abortion the amount of abortions given would go down?

I guess I just always assumed that the doctors went over the procedure with the patients. I have had several surgeries and the doctors bring out the x-rays or ultrasound and show exactly what was gonna take place, what they were hoping to accomplish.  Always telling (showing as well on the x-ray) where they would be cutting, what they would be removing and so on.

Like I said, I just assumed, wrongly so, that the same took place with an abortion and that the mothers looked at the baby as a fetus (on the ultrasound) that is supposedly NOT alive.

Also, I was thinking, they are wanting s*x education to start earlier and earlier in the schools. They “claim” they want to educate the children make them  more aware. I don’t know what a 1st-6th grader needs to be made aware of or learn when it comes to s*x education. Maybe that’s just me.

So, another question I have, they (the schools) do not seem to mind that our children are being taught about s*x, b*rth control, c*ndomes, homosexuality, and all the other vile things they are teaching and showing videos about. Then why, are they NOT educating on abortion?? If it’s a “fetus” {which it is NOT} then why not show a video, talk about it in graphic detail, show what’s happening to the woman’s body, how they dispose of the “fetus” I mean, they’re here to educate our children right?

My opinion is if they educated the TRUTHS about abortions the percentages would go down.

I downloaded Light Room’s free trail last week. It was love at first sight! ha! I think I have about 25 some days left on the trial. David went ahead and bought it tonight………so, it’s ours for keeps! yay! If I keep getting all my Christmas presents early, I won’t have anything under the tree.

Today, has been a day. I blame PMS (really, I blame everything on that) and Wal-Mart (something else I blame everything on) Did you know that you can’t go thru self check out if you have more than 20 items? I found that out today when I got ready to ring up my groceries. So, I had to go stand in line, long lines at that, with everyone else. Ugh!

I wish Emily and Audrey would let me take more pictures of them. I feel like all I show are pictures of Sarah. But she
cheeses big time when she sees the camera. Oh, she does have days where she likes to run, but usually I can talk
her into it. I think the weather is gonna be nice tomorrow, maybe, just maybe I can get Emily & Audrey to smile
real big like for the camera.

Whew! We have had a very busy week.
Which is gonna make for a very random post.

• David gave me an early Christmas present last Friday. Woohoo!
      A new lens for my camera…… Nikon 50mm

• My brother is doing some better. He has a follow up this afternoon. Hopefully, he’ll be 100% soon.

• Have you started Christmas shopping? We have a couple of things for the girls. I feel worn out sitting on the couch looking for stuff on Amazon. Dread the crowds.

• A lot of talk about Disney has been going on this week. We are planning another trip down in January. We are working with a travel agent this time around. Which is turning out to be kinda stressful, not because of her, but because we are used to being in control of these types of things, and the just not knowing part (while she checks with this place or that place) let’s just say………. I need to work on patience! ha!  and let someone else handle all the “stuff”

• The weather has been beautiful around here this week {even if its been chilly} the sun is out & the leaves are amazing.

• Last night the girls were giving me a “country” concert. I had totally forgot about one of my favorite songs! I looked it up, played it for the girls, they love it too! Remember this song?????

  

• I am trying to figure out what I want to do with my hair. I was gonna let it grow out. I can’t stand it, so, I’m gonna get it cut. Just not sure of the color. I know I’m not going back red……. that was AWFUL!

• I’m behind on my pictures. Taking them and touching them up. {sigh} I want to get the girls outside today and play around with the new lens. We’ll see. I think they are tired of having pictures made. oh, well! I have to practice!

• Do you like bigger pictures? or the normal size ones? I like both but when I have normal size pictures up…….. I miss my big pictures. When I have my big pictures up……… I miss the other size. Weird I know. I love looking over blogs where the pictures are huge!

• Have y’all seen these handbags???? Miche Bag……. Love it! I had thought about maybe trying to sell them, just so I could get the discounts. But they really are not that expensive when you think about it. It’s gonna be SO hard trying to decide which covers to buy! I am gonna go with the larger bag since I carry a ton of junk around. Well, that’s about it for today. Oh, I do have a couple Halloween pictures to show. I only have 2 good ones of the girls. It started raining so we had to put the camera up.

1. It’s early morning, about 2:00AM, and you’re driving home. You come to a red light and sit there. There is no one in sight for miles around. Do you wait it out or run the light?
I’d probably run it just as a cop was pulling up! =)

I don’t think so. Probably not eat as much?

I pretty much do all three.

4. Your favorite Disney movie is:
Oh,  I love Disney movies! Do we just have to pick one? If so, I think I’m gonna go with Little Mermaid. But I love Beauty & the Beast too. Oh, and Chicken Little.

5. Do you recycle?
no

6. Games of strategy or games of chance?
I like both. We have a dice game that we have started playing, it’s a game of chance, Sarah about beats us every.single.time

7. Do you have any recurring dreams?
yes, I have several. Weird I know. What’s even weirder is I’m always doing the same things I did as a teen, skating, cruising, or hanging out with friends. And I always have the girls with me. The one that recurs most is cruising in my mom’s blue station wagon with the girls buckled  up in the very back seat. 

8. What did you learn from your first real job?
That I hated working! ha! My first job was working at McDonalds. I was 15 years old. I hated it. I hated the pants, the hat, the shirt and the ugly black shoes I had to wear. Apparently, I didn’t learn that I hated working in fast food, cause I worked at McDonalds again when I was 18…… my sister was working out there at the time …..so that made it even more fun. Unfortunately, during that time I learned that the cooks actually cook things even though they fell on the floor. ewwww

9. Do you buy or borrow most books?
A little bit of both. I also receive a lot of books from several online reviewing groups.

10. What fashion trend of the past did you say you’d never wear again but did?
I don’t think I really ever said I wouldn’t wear something again. I’m stuck in the 80’s, so a lot of the stuff that’s coming back in I love! Once I can wear the skinny jean again (meaning, when I lose some more weight) I’ll be out buying a pack of  socks & and a pair of Keds and roll those bad boys up! teehee! 

11. When do you start Christmas shopping?
I guess in November? I always say I want to start early, but never do.

12. Have you ever been so happy that you literally jumped up and down for a few seconds? If so, what was the occasion?
Oh, there have been several. Probably more than I can count. It actually probably happens a couple times a month. I also add a little clap! Hey, I get excited!

1. Been pulled over? Yes, of course, for speeding. Three times.

2. Dyed your hair?  Yes, regularly. 

3. Pulled an all-nighter? no, I enjoy sleeping too much!

4. Fallen down in public?  yes! heehee several times……. I even fell outta David’s truck when I opened the door one time.

5. Broken a bone? No

6. Had braces? No

7. Built something out of wood? No

8. Been to Disneyland? Disney World count? if so, we’ve been there a couple of times

9. Eaten a Krispy Kreme donut? Seriously? I’d eat a dozen a day if I could!!

10. Screamed during a scary movie? yes! several of them in fact. My mom even had to smack me one time cause I couldn’t stop!

11. Been to a professional sporting event? I’m not sure. We used to go to a lot of hockey games. Not sure if any of them were professional or not

12. Slept till noon? Yes, and would do it tomorrow if I could!

13. Been arrested? No

14. Opened Christmas presents early? Yes, as a matter of fact, I just opened one up the other day. A new lens for my camera.

15. Rolled down a hill?  yes

6. Toilet papered someone’s house?  Believe it or not, no. I’ve always wanted to do it though. I think Ryan & Bryanna’s would be a good start. HA!!

17. Laughed so hard you cried? yes

18. Gotten seasick?  no

19. Shared a sucker with your dog?  I don’t have a dog, but if I did, I would never share a sucker with her. ewwwww

20. Been in an accident?  Yes

21. Ridden in a limo?  yes, prom night.

22. Had a pet fish?  Yes, and it died. I’ll never forget it either. We were eating egg sandwiches for breakfast, and I have never been able to eat another one since. Not an emotional reason or anything, it was gross looking floating on top of the water. ick!

23. Been ice skating?  Yes, I’d like to go again, but I would break something.

24. Locked your keys in the car?  yes, many, many times.

25. Ridden a horse?  yes, once.
