What’s The Gift of Lit About?

A.P.Stephens, author of The Stolen Moon of Londor, is coordinating a grand cross-promotion for Podiobooks.com authors who have a physical copy of their book(s) and ebook(s) available for sale during the holiday season.

The Gift of Lit post, seen on participating author’s web sites, will include the name of the author, a brief description of the book, and a link to where the book can be purchased. How easy for you!

A.P. feels this will:

1) Promote reading and the purchase of books this holiday.
2) Promote Podiobooks.com authors to those who may not know of other authors of the same or different genre.
3) Show the world how strong and united our community of writers is.

The Gift of Lit will begin around the third week of November so folks have time to order for the holiday season.

Still time for authors to participate

If you are a Podiobooks.com author and would like to participate, send your book info to A.P.Stephens at: contact@apstephens. com who will maintain and host ’The Gift of Lit’ master list. Deadline for inclusion is targeted for November 14th. Provide your name as it appears on your book, your book’s name, a one paragraph-ish overview of what the book is about, the genre of the book, the link to where people can purchase the book and a jpeg of the book cover.

And for listeners out there, you can expect Podioracket.com to play a promo created by your favorite authors as the list is finalized! It’s a super opportunity. H.E. Roulo finished reading three paper books by Podiobooks.com authors this week. How about you?

THE WRITE STUFF DEBUTS online OCT. 17, 2009

America’s first literary reality show, The Write Stuff, will debut online at www.thewritestufftv.com on Saturday, October 17th. It is an integral part of Cyrus Webb’s Literacy Campaign. Podioracket.com’s Rhonda R Carpenter interviewed Cyrus Webb on our BTR-Extension back in June when we heard about it from Podiobooks.com authors Mark Eller and Arlene Radasky. Scott Sigler is slated to judge in the finale.

Part conversation and part competition, The Write Stuff gives advice and encouragement from those who have made it in the literary world and showcases how others can do the same. Webb is quick to point out that even though the premise of the show is about writing that anyone following a dream or interested in excelling in their business will get something from it.

During the middle of the season you will meet aspiring writers who will be competing for prizes provided by the project’s sponsors and the title of having The Write Stuff.

Operation EBook Drop is a program run by author Ed Patterson to connect Indie authors with troops. Authors who have signed up will provide free ebooks to the deployed men and women in the Armed Forces for use on their reading devices. There are 70 participating authors so far.
