Manarola
Clicked at the beautiful Manarola town of the famous Five villages also known as Cinque Terre. Manarola is among my favorite places in Italy and in fact in the entire Europe. Watching the sun goes down was an experience. Giving lightroom 5 a try, kinda buggy right now but looks fantastic specially the features like Radial filter. Its out for trial already, give it a shot. And no I dont use photoshop so I this old features looks a welcome change in lightroom.

While visiting Salzburg, I decided to take a day trip to St Gilgen. This pic was clicked during the boat ride from St Gilgen to St Wolfgang. It was crazy cold but absolutely beautiful. There was some sort of holiday in the town so there were hardly any locals and tourists, was like a haunted town. A beautiful haunted town.

The Color of Shadows
This small thread got my attention while wandering around the Eiffel Tower in Paris, France. From the Love Bridge in Paris to Message wall in Turkey and to the message stones in Leh/Ladhak in India people have various beliefs and they do everything possible to get closer to people they love or send wishes to people who are not around. But most forget to live in the present, I have learnt that never wait for tomorrow to apologize, do not wait to say how much someone mean to you. There is no rewind button in life and putting a thread or lock will not change a thing.
Paris is beautiful and Eiffel tower makes a wonderful object in the frame. I got a lot more pics around it, will upload soon. let me know if you like this one.

For Better For Worse

For Better For Worse
Taken near Jungfrau, the highest point of Bernese Alps in Switzerland. Unlike other Glaciers this one is easily accessible via an underground train track. The center area was stuffed with tourists so I decided to take a side trek along the mountains. Its one of the most beautiful and breathtaking trek I have ever done, its basically a trek to the other side of the glacier. Its a must if you love trekking and visit Switzerland. I also happened to visit Lauterbrunnen on the way, its a beautiful little town I always wanted to visit since I read about it in school. Will upload some pics from the town soon.
I used Nik software to create the effects, its a single image HDR. I do not like HDR in general but I was testing Nik software plugins for lightroom and really liked Color Efex Pro 4 did to the image. Let me know what you think.

Silent Prayers

Silent Prayers
Found these bells at a Monastery somewhere in Bangkok. Bells are pretty unusual for a monastery as the general belief is to cherish the silence and inner peace. These were basically like prayer wheels where prayers are carved out on a cylindrical wheel on a spindle(in this case on a bell), and spinning such a wheel will have much the same meritorious effect as orally reciting the prayers. Bells are more common in Hindu rituals, and its sound is believed to chase away the evil spirits and/or to get attention of the Gods. And yeah they are loud at times :|
Do you agree with my understanding of the Bells/prayer-wheels? Let me know if otherwise.

I was a little tired after roaming around the beautiful streets of Paris and decided to take a moment for nothing, near the fountain at Place de la Concorde. These pretty little birds got my attention, they were staring at each other for at least a couple of minutes and then flew away in different directions. Well, still a better love story than Twilight. :)

Found this guy playing Accordion in one of the remote streets of Florence, Italy. Accordion, also known as Squeezebox, is a famous instruments among street performers in Italy. Street performers are one of the best things about travelling in Europe, and its always worth to take a break and listen to some amazing tunes. In a nostalgic state of mind, a wishful desire to return back in time. A prayer does the same, sends silent wishes to the people who are not around. Acknowledging their presence silently...

Got this picture while Khaled was offering his prayers near the camp site. He was my guide at the massive white desert in Egypt.
