It should be so easy: Buy toothpaste. But few shopping trips are more bewildering. There has recently been an explosion of toothpastes and gels that claim to whiten teeth, reduce plaque and fight gum disease. But the real question is do any of these things actually work?

According to the article most dentists think that the brand doesn’t make a difference. According to the American Dental Association you just want to make sure the toothpaste includes fluoride and the ADA seal.

Here is an interesting article in NY Times. The article discusses the creation of natural looking veneers and the demand for veneers that don’t look “perfect” but rather provide a natural appearance while improving the patients smile. Thought it was interesting ’cause… this is what we have been striving to do for many years.
Also interesting…….article featured ceramist Jason Kim, who we just recently did a veneer case with on a patient that flew in from Toronto who was looking for exactly this look that’s written up in the NY Times article.
Was also nice to see my friends Pinhas Adar and Brian LeSage quoted in the article.
Happy to see that there is a recognized trend to create improved/enhanced smiles that are customized and natural in their appearance.
Here’s hoping for the end of the Joe Biden “chicklet” smile!!!!
