Yes. EMPACs budget is much smaller than you would think. ECAVs budget comes from the Union, staffing is paid for by the administration. Again, much smaller than you would think, and much smaller than most other schools. We have some of the lowest game day expenses in ECACH.

Not necessarily; assuming that the account is registered in his name, then the account is personal and falls beyond the purview of StudGov. It would be no different than Joanne Smith registering as, say, 1stLady or the equivalent thereof, when this is clearly not the case.

Why RPInsider is still following Zwack’s Twitter account now that he is no longer GM is a question unto itself.

Just because i’m not GM anymore doesn’t mean i’m not a GM… otherwise why do we still call them President Clinton or Governor Palin?
My profile says i’m a “Senior at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute | All things RPI problem solver, facilitator, politico”, I’m not claiming to hold the position of Grand Marshal, i merely use it as a place to share my thoughts and news that i hear.

Yeah, those seem pretty accurate. Troy is shitty. A lot of our professors are pretty bad, and very few are exciting and awesome. And the only political views at RPI are “don’t use so much energy” and “stop with the software patents”).

Students already rebel against, and loathe almost all new policies from RPI, especially policies that involve telling them what they can’t do.

If anything, this measure will make smoking seem more rebellious and attractive, if for no other reason than to “get back at the man.”

plus, it’s an addiction. students aren’t going to stop smoking because a public safety officer wags their finger at them while their on campus. They’ll smoke in their apartment, their frat, their car, off campus, and most won’t even stop smoking on campus. Maybe now they’ll start smoking in dorms too.

Isn’t this a breach of student honor code and the fact that he is claiming to hold a position that is no longer his?

I agree with the Troy assessment. The streets are in poor condition so walking/biking/driving isn’t fun. A lot of the buildings and houses are also in poor condition so the area isn’t easy on the eyes until winter when snow covers all the ugly. The place isn’t very safe considering I have a friend who has been mugged and my apartment has been robbed twice. I do agree with you that RPI students rarely venture off campus but I’ve personally think that is because people have looked around and found that there is nothing that interests them enough to go out. I mean there are a few nice restaurants and bars in troy but nothing special in my opinion. Although i haven’t gone to troy night out since orientation so I guess it depends what you’re into and how determined u are to find it.
