Although Exposé has been vastly improved in Snow Leopard, Apple did let go of one of its great qualities in doing so. Under Leopard, although the windows were haphazardly thrown together instead of being neatly organized in a grid, they were all displayed at relatively correct sizes. So if you had a long and narrow Safari window beside a shorter and wider one for Mail, they would retain their relative dimensions even in their pint-sized Exposé thumbnails.

This is something I really miss in Snow Leopard. “I know I had a small Safari window somewhere BUT WHERE DID IT GO oh shit it somehow smacked my face without me noticing it”

I took a screenshot of iTunes 8 just before upgrading to version 9, so I was able to make a quick visual 1:1 comparison. Wowee is iTunes 9 sugary.

The UI in iTunes have always been a bit experimental, and I’ve never really cared. It has always somewhat matched the OS anyway. But iTunes 9 feels like if someone made a skinned Windows-application and ported it for OS X. Wrong gradient in the toolbar, weird buttons, overall too glossy.
I like the new icons in the sidebar.
The grid-view is white in iTunes 9. I guess I could live with the sudden change in color, but I will miss the black background.
In Snow Leopard a lot of applications use a “smooth” scroll, not sure if it’s called that in english. Anyway, iTunes 9 doesn’t use it, which feels odd.
I love the App Managment-thingy, that should’ve been there since iPhone OS 1.0.
Still no movies in Sweden. Whatever, I have my anime.
I still can’t remove the Stocks app from my iPhone >:(

Apple shouldn’t give a shit about content that aren’t included in the app, unless it’s obvious that the content isn’t legal (and by obvious I mean if the app is called “Ultimate iWarez Downloader).

Like Marco says in his post, there’s a lot of apps that could be used to violate third party rights, including the apps created by Apple.

The age-restriction-thingy is also bullshit. The only reason I can see for having a feature like that is if like a 12-year old owns the phone, but why the f- would you buy an iPhone for a kid? Oh, maybe the kid likes computahs and vidya gaems and phones, but then I think the kid already knows about the dangers of Internet.

And to end my post: I can browse 4chan in Safari, on my iPhone.

I love this game.

Or use another Twitter client, that’s free. I’ve used the free version of Twitterrific on my iPhone since I bought it and it still works just fine, even with the ads.
