Oh my poor brother! Without giving credit for the branches how will you reach the fruit of wisdom? How will you swallow the seed of that tree of universe and reach wisdom? Whilst the branches bending down are waiting for you, how can you look down on the branches and say, "I will take from the tree itself?" You are poor, how can you climb up that tree and stay on top of it? Even if you climb you cannot find any fruit on its trunk. You cannot find the truth of this business without reaching for the branches.

Whoever has this in their heart will know the secret. They will see that everything is Truth, and that everything leads to Truth. There is nothing but Truth. In the realization of that they will be overcome. They will sink into the sea of Truth.

What is this pain in heart? and how does it come?

The pain in heart can only come through zikr-e-qalb (Heart Meditation).
When the heart chants the name of Allah, the heart beat becomes so obvious & the heart beats so fast and it bounces in a way so that the heart hits with the ribs. Now the pain appears in the heart, this is the pain which has been told is very sweet. Soo sweet that a person never wants that pain to be stopped.

This pain is a gift of God and He gives to those who truly seeks it.

No man as long as he remains alive, will ever be wholly free of trial. This is simply the nature of things in this world. Suffering uncovers human frailties and literally pushes the reasonable person to his knees, so to speak, at Allah's door, in quest of relief and the mercy of his Lord. The true believer is expected to seek refuge in Allah in every trouble which befalls him, regardless of how insignificant it may seem. The Prophet of Allah, upon him be peace, said:

Let each of you turn unto Allah in every troublesome matter; even when you are pained by the thong of your sandal, for even that is a trial.

In other words, they Must rely, in all of his affairs, upon Allah's assistance, and not suppose that any of these affairs can be settled except by His leave. The greater the misfortune, the more ardent the Muslim's desire for refuge in Allah, and the more protracted his entreaty.

Compiled From:
"Remembrance & Prayer" - Muhammad al-Ghazali, p. 91

My Allah, I have no words
for the way You fill my heart
with desire to be pure
and praise You forever.
