If you are serious about finding a psychic, rather than simply consulting one merely out of a sense of having a new experience, then you’ll want to investigate psychics, as you would any other service provider, to ensure that you find one who is genuine.

There are several “vetting” questions that you should get answers to before you settle on a psycic.

1. Before you even have a reading, you should talk to the psychic in a “free consultation” type of way, and ask her (it usually is a her) how she works, and what kind of readings she gives.

2. Will the psychic allow you to record your reading? Genuine psychics should have no problem with this.

3. Just like any other business, psychics profit by word of mouth. However, rather than just reading their testimonials, see if you can’t visit some of these people, to ensure that they actually do exist. (Faking testimonials is not a new dodge, people across the spectrum of professions have done it).

4. Good things are few and far between. A typical psychic does not want to meet with his or her clients on a monthly basis…that’s a way to increase one’s fees, and should be viewed with suspicion.

5. What type of information is the psychic giving you? If it’s anything that requires you to give more money to the psychic – to alleviate a curse or to prevent a disaster, for example, look upon that with suspicion. (That is not the same thing as a psychic warning you that something unfortunate might happen if you take your usual way home that night, for example!)

6. If you’re talking with a psychic online, be very aware of the cost factor. Depending on how much they charge per minute, the bill could add up to more than you’re able to pay. While it’s certainly better to talk to a live person than a quiet email, best of all is face-to-face.

7. If your psychic tells you the winning numbers in the lottery… let those numbers win before you pay her commensurately! And if those numbers don’t win…that’s pretty much proof that your psychic has little power – don’t be fooled into giving her a second chance!

8. When you talk to a psychiatrist, they need to know all sorts of personal information – they need to be able to get to know you so they can help you. A genuine psychic should need no such crutches.

I did not believe in psychic phenomena until one of my friend completed his psychic training. While he was going through it, I was skeptical about whether he was wasting his time. He was at a pretty well-known psychic school in Colorado, spending quite a bit of money on classes. The school was supposed to specialize in developing psychic ability, but most of his family and many of his friends thought it was just a waste of time.

I was definitely willing to consider the idea of psychic phenomena, but I was far from convinced. I had had a few paranormal events in my life before, but nothing that really convinced me totally. All I knew was that there were things that happened in this world from time to time that were too strange to explain easily. That was as far as I was willing to go.

When my friend left the school, he was on a little bit of a crusade. I think that he was sick of people giving him grief about taking classes in psychic training, and he wanted to show us that there really was something to it. When he offered me a free psychic reading, I was more than willing to take him up on it. I think that I really wanted it to work. I trusted that friend, and I wanted to believe he knew what he was getting in to.

The psychic reading was a lot different than I expected. He did not put on a show or show me great feats and tricks to try to dazzle me. If he was trying to convince me that psychic phenomena were real, he was certainly doing it in a down-to-earth, mellow kind of way. He talked to me about what I wanted to get out of the psychic reading, then did a simple spread of tarot cards. After that, he got down to business.

The tarot card reading that he gave me kind of blew my mind. Although I hadn’t talked to him much about my life in months, he seemed to know everything that had happened to me, as well as most of my hopes and dreams. He made some pretty concrete predictions as well, and I wrote them down to see if they would come true. I figured that, if they did, it would be a good piece of evidence for psychic phenomena. Although not all of his predictions came true, the psychic tarot card reading did work pretty well for the most part. More than half of the things he said were going to happen did, and it was a bit too much to think it was all a coincidence. I am definitely more convinced of psychic phenomena than I was before.

Free tarot and horoscope readings are a way of touching something fascinating without parting with any cash. There is something enchanting about it.

It is common for anyone taking this first step to be skeptical about there being a connection between themselves and anything as inconsequential as pentacles and cups, planets and stars. Only those who have never looked can scoff, the rest of us experience something profound and mysterious.

Are you ready for a new experience? Why would you want to do it? Is there something lacking in your life? Are you realizing your full potential or is there an ambitious side to you that you are disregarding? A reading can help you to find the secret doorway to move you on.

Maybe your questions would be about your new lover and the nagging doubt about whether you are really suited when you are not in the bedroom. Compatibility can be revealed by a personality comparison using horoscopes. Passion is seldom the wisest guide for lasting relationships.

Free tarot and horoscope readings can help you to examine past life experiences. If you believe that your lifetime is just another one in an endless chain of life that can be traced back to the ocean, you will find this interesting.

Some psychic readers are connected to the spirit world. Some will adise you about karmic influences that are affecting your life. You may find out about guardian angels or gathering spirits that are surrounding you for some good reason.

Horoscopes are used widely by traders on the stock exchanges perhaps because there is a changing rhythm always pulsing away. Sometimes it’s good to buy but sometimes it isn’t! Do you believe that star systems and planetary positioning can have anything to do with this? Lots of people do.

Of course there are lots of people who consider this peering into the unknown to be an evil thing. My experience of it always gives me a feeling of deep satisfaction and makes me aware of something vast. Keep looking away if you must but for those of you with curiosity, these free tarot and horoscope readings can be a way of stepping into something mysterious and deep.

Numerology is a Self-Evaluation and Self-Improvement science that is designed to help you in your everyday living in all areas of your life.

Any area of your life can be analysed and improved with numerology. People find the most important areas in which they want help in are love, money, health and happiness.

Let’s look at these four areas closely.

Compatibility between two people largely determines the success of their relationship. Examining the numerological compatibility between two individuals in terms of their personality, abilities and values is the key.

The data gathered with this numerology reading can predict with incredible accuracy if their relationship will be successful or not.

By examining your own personal numerological numbers with a numerology reading you can gleam all sort of important information about your personality, life, abilities, strengths, weaknesses and your future.

Learning these things can improve your life much quicker than anything else available out there. Learning from your mistakes is a costly process in terms of lost time and resources. Numerology helps much, much quicker.

Learning your true personality and purpose in life will improve all areas of your life and your decision making. It can improve the self self-fulfilment, finances and health parts of your life the most.

It will very clearly reveal the money making secrets of your personality to help you achieve lasting wealth and financial freedom.

Having a numerology reading done was one of the most important decisions I made in life and also the most satisfying and profitable to boot.

Many distinguished scholars hold that everyone has psychic abilities, in varying degrees, early in life, but that these abilities generally disappear by the time a child is six or seven. Skeptics tend to dismiss such contentions as so much quackery. Part of the problem is that this phenomena cannot be scientifically proven and that there are far more skeptics than psychics. Another obstacle consists in the fakes, people who advertise in tabloid magazines, ‘psychic guarantees return of your lost love in 24 hours’ or some other such ridiculous premise.

In fact, people who do have psychic abilities, tend to experience them outside of a clinical setting, which makes the experience and report purely anecdotal, that is, lacking in quantifiable, scientifically repeatable proof. However, this does not negate the phenomena. It simply remains unproven.

Various studies have shown that psychic ability seems to run in families. In retrospect, anecdotal reports of ‘knowing’ future events does tend to repeat down through generations. Sometimes, the knowledge is fairly insignificant and not traumatic. In other instances, people have knowledge of traumatic events prior to the occurrence. One such famous case is that of Jeanne Dixon, who predicted the circumstances and time of President Kennedy’s assassination. Ms. Dixon went to great lengths to try to warn the Kennedy’s, with details that so closely matched the actual event, it was truly inexplicable. Her desperate pleas went unheeded and history records the outcome. In this instance, it’s certainly hard to explain how she could have known about this disastrous event.

It’s interesting to note that most religions acknowledge visions as a legitimate extension of psychic ability. There is a definite correlation between these two unexplained phenomena. In some senses, what’s currently termed ‘psychic ability’, was, centuries ago, deemed ‘visions’. In the Catholic church, well known visionaries, such as Teresa of Avila, St. John of the Cross and Catherine of Siena, experienced visions of both future and revelatory events which have survived the centuries. The church decided that it could not discount these contemplative, meditative souls, but neither could they endorse this psychic phenomena as truth for the ordinary believer. The church instead deemed these people, with what we now call psychic abilities, or visions, to be ‘Doctors of the Church’. This provided a special, separate category, into which the ordinary person could not and should not, enter.

If you were to ask a person who claimed psychic abilities just how they apprehended this knowledge, chances are that they might not be able to tell you if they were dreaming or awake! The knowledge is understood and irrefutable. It might come in the form of a thought, a dream, or a visual representation while awake. This reportage is not credible to most people. It’s simply too difficult to understand. For example, if you’d never seen snow, how could you believe a description of it? However, this obviously does not mean snow does not exist.

Perhaps psychic ability will forever remain a mystery. It’s possible that some people are able to apprehend a different plane of reality than most of us are capable of seeing.

The fascinating aspect of the psychic phenomena is that countless scholars have verified, in clinical settings, that almost all children have psychic ability, to a degree and up to a certain age. The fact that this ability almost always fades as a child matures may be only a result of anchoring in the world most of us see as reality. Who can say?

We’ ve all seen the television psychics, TV programs about psychic detectives and ads in magazines placed by people who guarantee to restore a lost love and the like. Although the concept of physic ability is viewed with considerable skepticism by the majority of people, many legitimate studies in clinical studies have established that psychic abilities should not be dismissed out of hand.

Before you decide one way or another on this controversial topic, take a look at some of the evidence. We often tend to not believe ideas that cannot be irrefutably proven or seen with our own eyes. Here are some examples, along with a few experiments you can do yourself, that may change your mind.

Scientists in the fields of psychology and psychiatry, as well as Pascal, the famed mathematician and philosopher, determined that almost every child possesses a degree of physic abilities, usually up until about the age of six.

Any parent knows that kids have a way of knowing certain things that cant be readily explained. For example, a child may take an immediate dislike to a certain person, sizing them up in a childs manner and without apparent reason. The same child may gravitate towards another individual without explanation. They simply sense something which creates a thumbs up or thumbs down impression. Whats interesting is that childrens impressions usually prove to be correct in the long run.

Studies of children who demonstrate psychic ability also show that such abilities tend to disappear, gradually. By the time a child is ten years old, very few retain these psychic characteristics and experiences. Its theorized that as a child is absorbed into the mainstream of culture, the very idea of physic ability meets with disapproval. Use it or lose it comes into play, and peer pressure and the desire to belong soon brings about a general dissipation of this talent.

How about religion? People of every faith believe the doctrines of their faith, with absolutely no proof. If you believe in a creator, can you prove it? You cant. However, just because you cannot see your creator doesnt mean He doesnt exist.

One of the common denominators in the nature of people shown to have physic ability is that they tend to be highly spiritual. This does not mean that they are necessarily religious, although they often are. Such spiritually inclined persons feel a connection to life that goes beyond what can be quantified and seen by everyone.

Heres one interesting way you can test your own psychic ability: go online and look up some of the many psychic tests, which you can take for free. You might be shocked to discover that you, the skeptic, possess psychic abilities.

There are techniques which anyone can practice, to develop lost psychic abilities. At the very least, its an entertaining endeavor. Who knows?

Everyone wants certainty in their life…certainty is perhaps even more important than happiness. Many people, who live uncertain lives, want to know what’s going to happen…if they will find true love, if they should change jobs, if they should move to a new town, and so on.

Some of these people consult psychics, whom they believe can see into the future and tell them what they want to know. Psychics are people who have “extra sensory perception,” and can see into the future.

There are different varieties of psychic phenomena. A “medium” is, to use the dictionary definition, a “person through whom the spirits of the dead are alleged to be able to contact the living.”

A “psychic” is a person “a person who is allegedly sensitive to psychic influences or forces; a medium” although psychics don’t necessarily contact the dead… a medium is always a psychic but psychic isn’t always a medium.

Some psychics perform their readings by holding something that belongs to the person in question, others read from tarot cards, and so on.

Many prominent people throughout history have believed in the powers of psychics – for example Franklin Delano Roosevelt, while president, consulted a psychic, as did Woodrow Wilson. Perhaps most famously, Nancy Reagan consulted a psychic while her husband was in office.

So if you’re going to consult a psychic, you’re in good company. Nevertheless, it’s always well to “test drive” a psychic as you would any professional whom you were thinking of hiring to do a job for you. Indeed, it would be even more important to “vet” a psychic, since you’ll be trusting them to give you advice on your love life and perhaps even your business career.

You can visit a psychic in your home town…or at least one who lives close to you. This would seem to be the best way to go about it, as most psychics practice psychometry – they hold something that belongs to you, and get impressions from it, which they use to give you advice.

There are also plenty of online psychic websites. If you’re thinking of consulting a psychic, read through all of these websites, to see the kinds of powers they claim, and perhaps most importantly, to compare their prices, before you commit to one or the other.

If you’re going to visit a psychic, it all boils down to the fact that you must believe in psychic power, otherwise why would you pay money to visit the individual?

And many people do believe in psychics, and have done throughout the ages.

Unfortunately, the psychic profession is more prone than most to have its fair share of frauds and charlatans. Too many people are too desperate in their lives, and will actually go from legitimate psychic to fraudulent psychic, until they find one who will tell them not what is true…but what they want to be true…or at least what they want to hear.

Even if these charlatans attempt to get no extra money out of their clients, happy simply to get their small payment from a single visit, they are still frauds.

When you’ve had a psychic reading, therefore, the thing to do is analyze the advice you’ve been given. Is it going to cost you extra money to follow this advice? Is it going to necessitate that you return to the psychic for more information? Those are clues that you can’t trust what the psychic has said.

An interesting book to read is Suddenly Psychic: A Skeptic’s Journey by Maureen Caudill. Caudill has degrees in math and physics from prestigious universities, and did not believe in psychic phenomena until she started experiencing them herself. Of even more interest is a book called Diary of a Psychic, written by an actual psychic, Sonia Choquette. Indeed, before you visit any psychic, give this book a read.

On the other side of the coin are books written in an attempt to debunk psychic theory, such as Science or Pseudoscience: Magnetic Healing, Psychic Phenomena, and Other Heterodoxies by Henry H. Bauer.

Another particularly good book is The Origins of Psychic Phenomena: Poltergeists, Incubi, Succubi, and the Unconscious Mind by Stan Gooch.

But that’s getting off the track. The question is.. Can you trust a psychic reading? And the answer is, if you have found a psychic whom you trust – after due diligence – then of course you can trust the reading. Unless you are being advised to take action that goes against your very principles…then it’s perhaps time to find a new psychic

The craft of psychic reading has always been a very interesting topic. Why, you may wonder. Simple, there is no common sense and scientific reasoning behind the ways of a psychic reading — but then, many people have faith in its mystical ways.

We cannot deny that skepticism has always encased the psychic realm; and the fact that information given to each person often gets altered somewhere along the way. So with this said, the simple fact is, not all that we find out about psychic concepts are true.

What is the real score behind the psychic reading concept? Let us now correct the false thoughts of this psychic concept, so that everybody will see the clear picture once and for all. Here are some common psychic reading myths that have been lingering since time immemorial:

3 General Psychic Reading Myths:

1. PSYCHIC READING IS JUST MERE MAKE BELIEVE OR WISHFUL THINKING. They are saying that psychic readers understand a lot of how a psychologist functions and that to please a person, you need to give a positive psychic reading to him or her and that the particular person would then “make believe” that it is all authentic. Simply put, a reading is all a “state of mind” — when a person is told by a psychic about what will happen, one will tend to believe in that, and in turn, it will make the reading work out as planned. This information is so false! The truth is, a psychic reading can end up in either positive or negative, and either way, the psychic reader will express it to the person being read, and provide the related suggestions on what to do about the situation.

2. A PSYCHIC READING IS A COLD READING. When a person to be read enters the psychic’s room, the psychic would then try to look at and evaluate the elements that he can with that particular person. Generally, a cold reading will involve making conclusions or lucky guesses about a person from what you can clearly observe. But so you know, psychics do not do cold readings. These people have special gifts that enable them to obtain information about a particular person through extrasensory means, even if the person is not in the same place with them!

3. THE RESULTS IN A PSYCHIC READING ARE JUST MADE UP. They say that psychics tell almost everything more than likely to materialize to a person, provides the condition on how it will be brought, and that if it doesn’t materialize, the reason is that the particular person did not comply with the conditions. Just like ads of shampoos. But just like the two earlier mentioned misconceptions, this one is also not correct. Psychic reading is dependent on the aura or the energy of the person. Only psychics are able to see these things. But if the truthfulness of it is in query, then just try it to make the encounter the answer.

There are actually many other misconceptions about psychic readings, there exist even some ridiculous thoughts like receiving a reading will jinx your good luck, and etc. Critics can make a list of hundreds of wrong beliefs if they must. Nevertheless, they still could not disprove the fact and the trustworthiness of a psychic reading.

Unfortunately, because of the many misconceptions about the psychic realm, many individuals do not have faith in its ways. But then, if you think about it, there is nothing wrong in trying to seek out a psychic reading for yourself. As the saying goes, the only way to find out the truth, is to know it first hand.

If you’re having problems in your life, and feel the need of advice from a psychic, it’s important that you know what to expect when you consult such a person.

The most important thing is to not have unrealistic expectations. Can a psychic tell you what numbers are going to be picked in the next lottery drawing? Probably not! There are too many other psychic auras swirling around such a drawing, as everyone with money on it is expending psychic energy trying to ensure that their numbers are drawn.

So, that kind of expectation is unrwealistic. Indeed, many people have unrealistic notions of what real psychics can do for you, and so before you find a psychic, you really should educate yourself about the entire phenomena.

To that end, check out a few books on the subject. Here’s a list of some of them:

1. Psychic Warrior: The True Story of America’s Foremost Psychic Spy and the Cover-Up of the CIA’s Top-Secret Stargate Program, by David Morehouse

2. Tour of duty: The diaries of psychic Bill Ward, an authorized biography by Gayle Pasternak

3. A Psychic in the Heartland: The Extraordinary Experiences of a Small-Town Doctor by Bettilu Stein Faulkner

4. Gift of the White Light: The Strange and Wonderful Story of Annette Martin, Psychic by James N. Frey So, once you’ve familiarized yourself with how a psychic works, then its time to visit a psychic. Many people like to visit a psychic face-to-face, to see her (or him) in action. When no psychic is available to you near where you live, the gap is filled by psychics online, whether on the internet or on the telephone.

Whichever psychic you choose – make sure you can afford the readings! With a face-to-face meeting or with an internet psychic, typically the charges are spelled out in advance annd there are no nasty surprises. With a telephone psychic…the skies the limits, as to what they’ll charge, so that’s generally a bad idea.

Ask honest, straightforward and specific questions, and expect the same kinds of answers in return. Some psychics will say that you can not expect 100% accuracy in a reading – I dispute that. After all…why not? For myself, if a psychic answers even one out of four questions incorrectly…how can you trust what they say in the future? Without 100% accuracy, a psychic is useless.
