Now is the time for Webmasters to get in on Central nic domain names! That’s right—thanks to the availability of central nic domain names, all webmasters can get a chance to get the domain name they desire by registering for a domain name with any registrar that handles central nic names. Think about it; registering for a central nic domain name has so many advantages.

1.Central nic is a domain registry offering alternative to the TLD and Country level domains. Get the domain name you want with a .com extension!

2. uk.com, gb.com, .eu.com, and more are all available from domain registrars. Thus, if you missed out on your opportunity to get a .uk, .gb, or a .eu domain name, you will get a second chance to get the domain name you desire when you register for a central nic domain.

3.If you are set on a name that has been taken by another Webmaster, a Central nic name can be a good alternative. With a Central nic domain name you can still get the domain name you want with the added commercial extension. Don’t settle for a second choice domain name—get your central nic domain name precisely the way you want your domain name to be.

4. The commercial extension in a central nic domain name is already well established.

5. Using keywords in a domain is useful for SE purposes—yet, it can be difficult to get a domain name that is keyword enriched if the applicable domain names are already taken. Now, with our central nic domain name offerings, you get another great opportunity to get a keyword enriched domain name that will immediately improve your search engine ranking.

6. You don’t have to worry about compromising a memorable domain address—the .com extension is easy to remember and hardly increases the length of a domain name at all. In fact, with so many domain names ending in .com, the commercial extension is almost expected by web users.

7. Registering for a central nic domain name now will ensure that you get in on the most popular domain names available. Don’t miss out on the opportunity to get the most popular domain names available. Popular domain names that draw significant traffic to websites will disappear quickly. Thus, the sooner you register for your central nic domain name, the better your chances will be that you get the exact domain name that you desire.

8. Beat the rush—you already know that on April 7, 2006, the Landrush phase for .eu domain names will commence. Why submit an application in hopes that you will be able to get the domain name you desire. Instead, secure a central nic domain now with a .com extension and ensure that you get the domain name you want.

9. Whether you want to establish a business website or a personal website, there is no restrictions when you apply for a central nic domain name. That’s right; anyone can apply for a central nic domain name, even if their website is not for commercial use.

Now is the time to get in on all of the central nic domain names available—the more time you spend delaying—the lower your chances are for getting in on the most popular central nic domain names.

Have you heard about domain names that sold for over a million dollars? Inspired by this, you imagine registering a great domain name, hanging onto it for a while, and then selling it off to become the next multi-millionaire.

First of all, many of the truly great domain names are already taken. Second, the dot com bust took some of the wind out of inflated domain name prices. (If you sell your domain name for millions of dollars worth of stock in a publicly traded dot com flop, what is the name really worth?)

The cybersquatter buys domain names totally on speculation. Sometimes he will register names of famous brands, companies, or individuals. Time and again, these domain name speculators learn the hard way that they must respect intellectual property rights.

However, you can still make money from domain names if you are sensible in your approach. Here are some suggestions on ways to profit.

1. Affiliate Programs: Use your domain name to promote an appropriate affiliate program.

2. Informational Sites: Create content and then profit from it by earning advertising revenue through Google AdSense or a similar program.

3. Redirect to Your Own Site: Some reasons you might want to do this include preventing competitors from using a particular domain name and benefiting from searches some users perform by domain name. (For example, if they wanted to order flowers, they might just type “flowers.com” in their web browser.

4. Product Sites: Create your own or sell someone else`s product appropriate to your domain name.

5. Park Your Domain Names: You might feel that your name has real potential for resale value. There are companies that will allow you to park your domain on their servers, advertise that your name is for sale, and split advertising revenue with you.

The trick is to generate traffic for your domain name. That traffic in turn will create revenue.

First, you will have a fully developed website. A fully constructed building on a piece of land increases the value of the real estate property. Similarly, the value of your domain name is enhanced by a complete and operating website.

Second, you have traffic. Just as a shopping mall with no traffic results in no sales, so a website must have traffic to generate income.

Third, you have income.

Similarly, the gross income, net profits and cashflow of a website have value. For example, if someone offered you $1,000 for your domain name and website when it was generating $10,000 per day in profits, you would likely laugh at him.

You really can profit from your domain name investments by adding value and properly developing your web properties.

Domain registration and domain name renewals s can be loaded with problems if you are not careful in selecting your registrar and fully understanding the terms and conditions associated with renewing domain names.

As a general rule, when renewing domain names – don’t leave it to the last minute! Domain name renewal should occur at least 2 months ahead of expiration. Your domain name registration period will continue to run from the expiration date so you don’t lose by earlier domain renewals.

If you can, renew for 2 or more years at a time – this will reduce the frequency of the hassle of renewing your domain name. On the other hand; you could forget all about the registration and the domain name expires anyway!

If you have multiple domains, create a spreadsheet or database – or simply a word document with your domain details and domain name renewal schedule so you always can keep track of domain expirations.

Domain name management – Key points to keep in mind

1. Maintain a database of domain details

2. Maintain records of userids, passwords, admin emails for the domain, URLs pertaining to the domain registration

3. Keep whois information current. This is imperative. Do not use your domain name email as your contact info for your domain – no matter how cool it looks.

4. Use a web-based email address like Yahoo, Hotmail, any address that won’t go away.

For example; you may have registered a domain name.

Ideally; you have registered with an Opensrs registrar. You’re tracking path or links will look like this:

Registrar (Opensrs) > DomainMonger (Reseller for Opensrs) > You (Opensrs is used here as an example because they are reliable and even it you don’t know who the Reseller is; as long as you have a user and pass you can access your control panel to manage domains or get support.)

Registrar > Reseller sells for the registrar > Vendor – sells for the reseller who sells for the registrar > Some guy – sells for the vendor who sells for the reseller who sells for the registrar > You It will be extremely difficult to get support; indeed you may not even be able to find out who the registrar is.

5. Use as few registrars as possible.

6. Renew your domain as early as possible to give time to resolve any problems which might arise.

If for whatever reason you are unable to move the domain to a new registrar, and the registrar is not giving you major issues. Go ahead and renew the domain name.

There is *usually* no issues in transferring registrars. It would be wise to check with your registrar.

We all know that as the number of people who cater to domain name and some of the domain name services increase, some transformations under the domain name industry were being made and thus brought certain bangs to the lives of most people everywhere else in the world. An evidence for such claim is the many people who are searching some possible means that will greatly aid them in getting their own domain names.

Speaking on how to convert a domain name to IP address, I am sure that many of you are still not aware that this thing exists in the world of the internet. So to let you know something about how to convert a domain name to IP address, this article is particularly written.

When it comes to the ways in converting a domain name to IP address, it is interesting to know that the Domain Name System or DNS plays a very vital role in this area. It is in converting a domain name to IP address that the Domain Name System takes a great part. Well, it is greatly for the main fact that the DNS is such a powerful tool that is designed to contribute a large factor in converting a domain name to IP address. And as its main purpose or function, the DNS takes hold of everything when it comes to converting a domain name to IP address.

Since the DNS is converting a domain name to IP address, it is then a nice thing to know that the IP or the Internet Protocol address is a 32-bit integer.

Aside from converting a domain name to IP address, the DNS also grants independence from knowing the physical location of a host.

In the process of converting a domain name to IP address, it is considered that the DNS is a distributed database by the TCP/IP applications to map a domain name to IP address.

So by converting a domain name to IP address, the clients and the servers will be able to communicate with each other.

And so with the process of converting a domain name to IP address, the system will then be able to access the DNS through a resolver, which lets the resolver to get the domain name and return back the IP address or get the IP address and search for the domain name. For that matter, the process for converting a domain name to IP address involves the functioning of the TCP for opening a link or sending a datagram through the UDRP. It is then understandable that everything is really in control when converting a domain name to IP address.

Have you heard about the new standard for domain name whois privacy that the Canadian Internet Registration Authority or the CIRA has recently announced?

Recently, numerous reports have noted that the Canadian Internet Registration Authority has proposes a new standard for the domain name who-is privacy. In their proposal, it is considered that the new policy for domain name who-is privacy will provide all the dot-ca domain name owners with an enhanced domain name who-is privacy safeguards, bringing the domain name who-is privacy policy in line with the currently enacted Canadian privacy laws.

Today, the new proposed domain name who-is standard becomes the hottest subject of a general public consultation. And this domain name who-is policy will see the CIRA to pursue in collecting complete information from dot-ca domain name owners, however, it will create only a little amount of the details that are available to the general public in its web-based domain name who-is look-up directory.

Along with such introduction, the Canadian Internet Registration Authority itself have assumed that this new domain name whois standard will ensure greater privacy protection barriers under the dot-ca regime than are recently accessible with so many other internet domains just like the dot-com. In some reports about this matter proposed by the CIRA, it is noted that the president of the CEO of CIRA had mentioned that this new standard for the domain name and who-is privacy is all about protecting the people’s fundamental right to privacy in the virtual reality. Along with that statement, the president of the CEO of CIRA also mentioned that since the internet is a wonderful and trans formative force, it is then right to take some great care to ensure that such dimension serves the people, and not the other way around.

It further holds that the policy for organizations with dot-ca designations will not be changed, so the same date will continue to be accessible through whois. And lastly, the new policy holds that CIRA will pursue to ensure that all registration data is available to law enforcement agencies.

Along with the introduction and the function of the domain name, there comes the so called “domain name disputes” which becomes one of the hottest subject of most domain name queries and discussions.

What are the domain name disputes and its nature? What is the cause of the domain name disputes?

Well, the domain name disputes are considered to arise largely from the practice of cyber-squatting.
For your information, the cyber-squatting as a primary cause of domain name disputes involves the pre-emptive registration of trademarks by third parties as domain names. This particular cause for domain name disputes greatly exploit the first come first served nature of the domain name registration system that is intended to register the domain names of the trademarks, popular people or even businesses with which they have the bond. Along with such factor, since the domain name registration is typically a simple and inexpensive process, which is noted to have less than US $100 in most cases, most of those who are engaged into cyber-squatting often undergo certain domain name registrations wit hundreds of such names as domain names.

In such case, the domain name disputes largely emerged. And in relation to cause of domain name disputes, the domain name disputes also surfaced when the cyber-squatters, as the domain name holders of such registrations, are considered to have often placed the domain names up for auction, or there are some instances that they offer the domain names for sale directly to the company or person involved, with prices far beyond the cost of the regular domain name registration. The domain name disputes then emerged since they often keep the registration and use the nice name of the person or business that is associated with that domain name with the primary aim to attract business for their own domains.

Today, due to such situation that cause the domain name disputes, it is very sad to know that the number of once handful domain names disputes increase resulting for so many domain name disputes.

. Moreover, the domain name disputes continue to rise since the growing business value of domain names on the web has led to more cyber-squatting, which then results in more domain name disputes and litigation between the cyber-squatters and the individuals or businesses who domain names have been recorded in worst condition. But due to such rise of the domain name disputes, the domain name authority is doing their best to solve the domain name disputes issues and so to help the domain name owners.

Are you familiar with domain name hosting?

The domain name hosting is basically a service that gives the domain name customers with space on the domain hosts computers which are known as the servers. But why these are called as servers?

Essentially, the term domain name hosting is somewhat synonymous with the concept of web hosting. There are some typical instances that the domain name hosting companies offer e-mails to go along with the domain name hosting account. With this function, the domain name holder then is allowed to welcome an e-mail by applying their domain name.

Today, as the concept of the domain name rapidly becomes so common in virtual reality, many of the companies that cater to domain name hosting are now operating online with several products and pricing that vary globally.

In relation to that, most of the domain name consumers, especially those domain name registrants are now pointing their Domain Name System to a domain name hosting company. So for that matter, most of the domain name hosting companies attaches the requested domain name on the code that the user then uploaded to their site online, and this process is usually done through the FTP or File Transfer protocol. With that, it is then great for the domain name hosting companies to allow the internet users to fully access the server and so to view the web site.

And since there are multiple companies of this sort, it is then nice to know that the domain name hosting companies are usually offering several levels of service. In particular, the small companies on the web that have no multiple mode for traffic usually don’t use up much space on the server and even not a lot of bandwidth for the main reason that many of the internet users today are looking at the web site. So, it is then understandable that a small domain name hosting account is not very expensive.

The cost for this kind of domain name service is accordingly very much expensive.

We all know that in the world of domain names today, the presence of the DNS domain name system is very much significant. It is interesting to know that the acronym DNS actually stands for Domain Name System/Service/Server.

The DNS domain name system is actually a powerful tool that contributes a great part in the domain name process. It is often described as an internet service that translates or transforms the domain names into an IP or Internet Protocol address.

Aside from knowing such basic function of the DNS domain name system, it is also interesting to learn that a basic possession of the DNS domain name system is caching. This property takes place in situations when a server welcomes information about a mapping, it caches that information.

In terms of caching, it is very nice to know that every server has a cache for currently applied names along with records of where the mapping data for a particular name was taken. So when a particular client is asking the server to determine a certain domain name, the DNS domain name system then does check if it has the power for a domain name, and if it does, the system doesn’t need to cache the information. However, if it has no authority for a domain name, the DNS domain name system then checks its cache whether the domain name has been resolved currently, and if yes, the DNS domain name system reports the caching data to its clients.

There are some instances that the DNS domain name system cache can be examined when the system cached the data once, but didn’t adjust it. Due to the reason that the information about a certain domain name can be changed, the server may have inaccurate data in its caching table.

So whenever an authority responds to a request for a domain name, it then involves a Time to live value in the answer which indicates how long it assures the binding to linger.

Domain names are the hottest net-real-estate on the internet. It’s no wonder services like: “Domain Name Back-ordering” is available to the public. Can someone really back-order your domain right from underneath you? Guess again…

So what is Domain Name Back-ordering?

This is a service that allows anybody on the internet to reserve a domain name if and when it goes up for sale! Guess again…

Companies all over the internet are ordering this service for website url’s that seem to be popular! What if by chance you just happen to forget to re-order your domain name? Let’s say that you go on vacation and neglect to check your emails that are now telling you to renew your domain name?

Someone else now owns your domain name because you simply neglected your duty to keep your net-real-estate up-to-date!

Unless you own a Canadian domain name protected by the CIRA, or you have a trademark on your domain name or business name, you are “really” out of luck.

. On the flip side, some of those websites are simply a mistake. I think the point here is; avoid making that mistake and renew your domain name for at least 5 years.

Google is apparently looking through the “WHOIS Data Base” to see which websites have the staying power online and are serious by registering their domain name for more than 1 year at a time.

Again, should domain back-ordering be allowed?

Just like a patent for an invention, you should have up to 1 year to claim that domain unless you transfer the domain name to another company or individual. This way we would have less domain name theft and less “hick-ups” from companies who simply forget their important responsibility.

Protect Your Net-Real-Estate!

Your website address is the most important commodity you have online. It is as important as your business name itself. It is what ties your company offline to online. People know you through your domain name. Potential clients may end up visiting your website later on, you wouldn’t want some other company in your place?

Please be careful when give out the access information for your domain name to anyone that isn’t within your trusted circle.

Once you are comfortable with working online, you should buy a domain name for your site or sites. Domain name registration, if you do it right, is one of the key components of having your site rate high in the search engines. The right domain name is memorable, and can get your site to rank higher than other names. The wrong domain name won’t do you any good at all.

The Basics of Domain Name Registration

Don’t even think about a one-word domain name; they’re all gone at this. If you’re putting together a professional site, try your name before anything else.

Don’t get fancy with spelling when selecting your domain name registration, or use 2s and 8s to represent their sounds

Don’t buy a domain name for which the .com extension is gone, but you have access to the .net or .info. These domain names are not by any means as valuable as the .com.

Domain name registration is NOT expensive, and if you register in bulk you can get an even better price.

The .UK Extension

If you have a business in the United Kingdom, you have access to the .uk domain name set, which UK customers are likely to look at before anything else for UK-specific businesses. . By being an .UK domain, you are very likely to gain UK clients.

The .UK domains market is one of the fastest growing and lucrative registration areas on the internet.

Tips for Domain Name Registration

The search engines take time to index new sites and your domain name registration is only as valuable as the search engines make it.

You can also have more than one domain name pointing at a single site. If you’ve bought multiple extensions for your domain name (as in the previously-suggested .com/.uk combination), you can set up your site under one domain name and then direct traffic from the others to the main site.

It is surprisingly easy to forget to register your domain name on time, and if someone else sneaks in and registers it, you’ve just lost a ton of work on that domain.

By making your domain name memorable, you will help other webmasters remember your site easily when building anchor texts in their links- a crucial component of SEO.
