The alert concerns Injection Davdax 1mL, containing Dexamethasone Sodium Phosphate 4mg/mL, registered under Reg. No. 121545. The affected batches are DDI132 and DDI133.

According to Alert No. 140/2026, the batches were released into the supply chain before completion of the required quality-control requirements for batch release, in violation of applicable good manufacturing practices.

Authorities said the quality, safety and efficacy of the affected batches could not be assured while testing and investigation remained pending. The stoppage has been described as a precautionary regulatory measure.

Retailers, wholesalers, distributors, healthcare facilities and others holding the specified batches have been directed to immediately stop their sale, supply, dispensing, distribution and use.

Existing stocks must be quarantined, kept separately and reported to the relevant drug inspector or drug inspector distributor or health facility.

Healthcare providers have also been advised to monitor patients who may have received the affected batches and report any suspected adverse drug reactions through the pharmacovigilance system.

Patients who have already received the affected batches and have concerns have been advised to contact their treating healthcare professional.

Civil Judge Naseerud Din issued the order while hearing a petition seeking execution of the court’s decree. Counsel for the affected residents, Barrister Adil Aziz Qazi and others, told the court that the CDA acquired the petitioners’ houses but failed to provide the benefits promised under its rehabilitation policy for 28 years.

The lawyers said the CDA had not fully implemented the decree and asked the court to ensure its effective execution. They also told the court that the CDA chairman failed to appear despite receiving notices on three consecutive occasions.

The court took note of the continued non-compliance and issued bailable arrest warrants for the CDA chairman. It also directed the relevant authorities to ensure implementation of the decree.

The court warned that further legal action could follow if the authorities failed to comply with its directions.

The GST on vehicles up to 2,000cc was reduced from 25 percent to 18 percent effective September 13. Assemblers had delayed price adjustments following the tax change, but new prices have now begun to emerge.

Honda Atlas Cars Ltd (HACL) reduced the price of its HR-V e: HEV to Rs. 9.299 million from Rs. 10.369 million, while the HR-V VTIS is now priced at Rs. 7.299 million compared with Rs. 7.799 million previously. The company said the revised prices are available for limited stock, with the new rates applying to orders invoiced from September 25.

Indus Motor Company has also lowered prices for its hybrid models. The Toyota Corolla Cross HEV X is now priced at Rs. 9.729 million, down Rs. 570,000, while the Corolla Cross HEV is available at Rs. 9.299 million, reflecting a Rs. 550,000 reduction.

The price cuts come after months of uncertainty for the automotive industry over the applicable tax and policy framework. The Automotive Industrial Development Policy 2021 to 2026 expired on June 30, under which electric vehicles were subject to an 8.5 percent GST rate.

The industry had expected a new auto policy to take effect from July 1, but it has not yet been announced. Assemblers have said the policy uncertainty affected production planning, business decisions and investment, while some companies temporarily delayed vehicle invoicing during July and August.

Chery Master Director Sales and Marketing Syed Asif Ahmed said the 25 percent GST had sharply reduced demand for electrified vehicles, leaving a significant amount of inventory unsold as consumers waited for clarity on the tax issue.

He said the move to settle the GST rate at 18 percent could help revive sales, although uncertainty remains over whether the rate could change again under the new auto policy. He added that most vehicles from his company and other assemblers are expected to be delivered within the next two months.

NEPRA has proposed amendments to the Consumer Service Manual that would change how distribution companies handle connections for high-rise buildings, industrial and commercial users, as well as rules for temporary disconnections. The regulator has also proposed dropping a requirement for electric vehicle charging stations after the government liberalized their sales margins.

Stakeholders have been given 30 days to submit their comments on the proposals, with October 25 set as the deadline.

One major change would bring certain multi-storey buildings into the grid-sharing charging regime. Buildings that need a dedicated transformer above 500 kVA would be required to pay grid sharing charges, including residential buildings. Under the existing arrangement, buildings up to ground plus three storeys are not treated as high-rise structures for this purpose.

NEPRA is also proposing more flexibility for large industrial and commercial consumers to obtain multiple connections. A distribution company could provide up to three connections to a consumer at the same premises, with a combined load of up to 15 MW under the same tariff category, provided the existing grid station has sufficient capacity, and the arrangement is technically feasible.

Consumers taking more than 5 MW would have to bear the full grid sharing and transmission costs. The proposed charges include Rs. 8.948 million per MW, along with land costs estimated at Rs. 0.855 million per MW based on the consumer’s load.

Consumers seeking more than 15 MW would instead require a dedicated grid station and transmission line. If a consumer first pays grid sharing, transmission line and land charges before being shifted to a dedicated grid station, those earlier payments would be refunded.

The proposed framework would also revise the requirements for dedicated transformers, 11 kV feeders and rehabilitation work. Connections of up to 1 MW would attract the relevant equipment and rehabilitation charges, while consumers seeking between 1 MW and 2.5 MW would be charged for rehabilitation based on actual costs. Consumers would also have to cover the cost of meeting required technical standards.

NEPRA has proposed new rules for consumers who temporarily disconnect their electricity supply. They would have to request reconnection before the approved period ends. If they fail to do so, the connection would automatically be treated as active once the temporary disconnection period expires, with applicable charges imposed.

Consumers would still be allowed to request temporary disconnections multiple times, but before seeking another one, they would have to pay fixed and other applicable charges for at least one month.

The regulator has also proposed a uniform approach to detection bills in cases involving registered consumers and suspected meter or billing manipulation.

Distribution companies could recover charges for up to 12 months in cases involving bogus meters, frozen load profiles, software manipulation, Bluetooth-based reversal of meter readings or security breaches. The proposed bills would be calculated according to the consumer’s load rather than past or future consumption, while domestic consumers would face a maximum detection period of six months.

AI enthusiast, author, and business consultant Tom Frazier launched Slop Mop on Tuesday. The extension is free, requires no signup and is also available as open-source code on GitHub.

Unlike traditional AI detectors, Slop Mop does not try to determine whether a post was written by AI. Instead, it looks for patterns associated with poor-quality writing, regardless of whether a human or AI produced it.

How Slop Mop Identifies “Slop”

The extension uses nine indicators based on research from SEO firm Graphite Growth into writing patterns that appear more frequently in AI-generated content.

These include excessive hype, engagement bait, empty praise, overly polished lessons, flowery language, stiff wording, contrast-based definitions and posts designed to make users expand them while scrolling.

Slop Mop then uses additional questions to determine whether the content sounds like it was written by a specific person and whether it provides something useful to readers. Both factors can reduce the post’s slop score.

A separate question estimates whether an AI model likely drafted the content. However, that factor cannot trigger a flag by itself and can only reduce the score when the post otherwise appears to be human-written.

It Targets Bad Writing, Not Just AI Content

Frazier said the extension is designed to filter out low-value content rather than act as a conventional AI detector.

“Slop Mop flags poor human content equally to poor AI content,” Frazier told The Register, adding that AI-generated content can be good while human-written content can also be poor.

Posts that cross Slop Mop’s threshold can be flagged or hidden from a user’s LinkedIn feed. The posts are not deleted from LinkedIn and can still be reported through LinkedIn’s existing “Seems Like AI Slop” option.

The extension’s central question is whether a post is worth the reader’s attention.

Built as a Test for Jev

Frazier said his main reason for developing Slop Mop was to experiment with Jev, a probabilistic decision-making AI model from TypeSafe.

Unlike a chatbot, Jev is designed to make decisions for other software systems and is accessed through an API.

Frazier has open-sourced Slop Mop so developers can examine the project and experiment with Jev themselves.

Free Use Comes With a Daily Limit

Slop Mop currently operates through Frazier’s own Jev account and API key. To control costs, he has limited each installation to 250 analyzed LinkedIn posts per day.

Frazier said early usage has cost approximately $0.005 per user per day. He said he may reconsider the free service if the extension becomes widely popular.

For now, he is using the project to study Jev’s tuning parameters and build a dataset.

Frazier also said he could eventually expand Slop Mop to other platforms if enough users find it useful and the operating costs remain manageable.
