jpeg, png, gif… how the heck do you save your images to keep the quality?
Honestly, I dont think there is a 100% way to make your high res images
look SUPERIOR on the web,
they get finagled, warped, and poo-pood when you upload…
not much to help.. but I do have some tiny advice to at least give them a fighting chance!

DON’T SAVE AS JPEG when putting on the web..
esp Facebook, cuz they do their own resizing and “fixing”.

Instead… try to save as PNG, and you’ll keep some of your quality (and sanity).

First picture… SAVED IN JPEG…
CRAPOLA… grainy, color of ooof, bleeeech!

Second image… saved as PNG-24…
not perfect, but MUCH BETTER THAN MY JPEG QUALITY!

Phew… I feel a bit of sanity coming back to me!
Just a bit, dont worry

When I save my images for the web..
I use the SAVE FOR WEB in the FILE pull down tab…

Then… select PNG.
I save as PNG 24, it it a bit larger than the PNG8 files,
and has a touch of better quality.

THEN SAVE… and upload to your desired web-gallery.

It’s not perfection.. but again, nothing is the quality on the web as in person or your own pc/mac.

Just trying to help a weeeee-bit,
and give a simple touch of sanity back to the INSANE world of photography on social networks <3
