We call the earth mother, since we speak in her feminine gender. Mother Earth is definitely begging to be respected, because of many destructions of our environment and all species around us. In geneses, GOD the creator made Adam and eve and a land to live. They cannot survive without land they will die. So, land is a part our lives. Hence, we should take care of the land in order to live; they are the provider of foods and human existence. Mother Earth should be respected as a fellow creation of GOD. This world is our home as one big family on earth. To destroy our home mother Earth, it is also mean you destroy our selves. So, if you are planning on going to the beach, don’t forget to wear sunscreen to protect your skin from ultraviolet rays. And in case, you get sunburn, you should use aloe vera. You take a leaf off, then tear that leaf in half, lengthwise, and rub the aloe vera on the sunburn. You can squeeze the liquid out of the leaf so it drops on the burn, if it hurts to touch the sunburn.

Computer Maintenance

I just noticed my computer has been acting funny and weird lately. I also check for spyware using Spybot. And lastly, I uninstalled any unnecessary programs or files. And now, my computer is back to normal. And unfortunately, some peple are afraid to change because they are not aware of their own strengths. They imprisoned themselves within a box. In order to achieve, don’t expect immediately. Most specially laugh at yourself and your mistakes. Discovery that ten minutes of genuine laughter had an effect that gives us at least two hours of pain-free sleep. It's helps on muscle relaxation, heart rate, and blood pressure. Would like to know the secret of being young at heart also in appearance? <span style="font-style: italic; style="text-align: justify;">Backache – the lower back region takes a lot of strain during pregnancy, and will benefit from a firm massage with four drops each of lavender and sandalwood in two tablespoons of base oil. Six drops of lavender in the bath will help to soothe away the aches.

Morning Sickness – eat little and often during the day, avoiding junk food and heavy meals late at night. Choose fresh foods, which are free from preservatives or chemicals. Try herbal tea infusions such as chamomile, peppermint or orange blossom, which are good for the digestion.

Heartburn – avoid heavy meals and particularly rich, spicy foods. Peppermint tea infusions help, and you can rub the solar plexus with a blend of two drops each of lemon and peppermint essential oils in one tablespoon of base oil.

Sore Breasts – these need extra care and attention during pregnancy as they expand. Use gentle massage oil with rose and orange, three drops of each in one tablespoon of sweet almond oil; or if breasts are swollen, make a cool compress using rosewater and place over the breasts while having an afternoon rest. Sweet almond oil on its own is excellent for sore, cracked nipples during breast-feeding. Never use pure essential oils on the breasts during this period as they can easily be transferred to the baby while feeding.

Constipation – make sure your diet contains plenty of fresh and high fibre foods and drink plenty of still water. Tension can also be a contributory factor, so try a relaxing bath with three drops of lavender and four drops of rose. Massage your abdomen and the small of the back with a blend of four drops of chamomile or orange in one tablespoon of base oil.

Sleep Problems – in the last few months of pregnancy, with the baby kicking and other discomforts, it is often difficult to get a good night’s sleep. A relaxing bath with neroli and rose is soothing, and you can add ylang-ylang for its calming, sedative effect – a maximum of eight drops in total. Two drops of rose or lavender on the edge of the pillowcase will help induce sleep.

Stretch Marks – when the stretched skin returns to the body’s normal shape it can leave tiny jagged scars. A daily massage around the hips and expanding tummy, using five drops of lavender in one tablespoon of jojoba, wheat germ or evening primrose oil, will help keep skin smooth and supple. Start around the fifth month of pregnancy and continue after the birth until you return to your normal weight.

Swollen Ankles – these can be reduced with a cool to warm footbath of benzoin, rose and orange. Add two drops of each directly to the bowl or mix with one tablespoon of base carrier oil such as sesame seed. Rest with feet raised on cushions or pillows.

Varicose Veins – during pregnancy the blood flow to the legs is often slowed down, causing the veins to dilate. Two drops each of cypress, lemongrass and lavender, mixed with two tablespoons of apricot kernel base oil, can be smoothed gently over the legs for relief. If veins are prominent then one of the best oils for the circulation is geranium, though this should always be very dilute for use in pregnancy. Add four drops to the bath or to one tablespoon of carrier oil to massage the leg with upward movements. Do not work directly on the veins or apply too much pressure to the leg.

Labour – to create a relaxing atmosphere in the labour room, use a few drops of lavender in a fragrancer, or try rose, neroli or ylang-ylang to fortify you as the labour progresses. Any of these oils can be used in a massage blend for the lower back to help with contractions. If labour is progressing slowly, try marjoram as massage oil or compress across the abdomen to stimulate contractions.

After the Birth – the “baby blues” often occur around the third or fourth day after childbirth, though some women can suffer a more severe form of post-natal depression for up to a year. A bath of jasmine and ylang-ylang will help you feel better, or use a body oil of chamomile, geranium and orange (5 drops to 2 tablespoons of sweet almond oil), which is a good mix for hormonal imbalance. To ease any perineal pains, a bath with lavender is soothing. Tea tree can also be added, since this is a powerful antiseptic and helps heal internal wounds and stitches.

Following oils should be avoided during pregnancy (particularly the first five months) because of their strong diuretic properties or tendency to induce menstruation:

Bay, Basil, Clary Sage, Comfrey, Fennel, Hyssop, Juniper, Marjoram, Melissa, Myrrh, Rosemary, Thyme, Sage

Use all essential oils in half the usual quantity during pregnancy and take extra care in handling them. Ensure that the oils you are using are pure essential oils, as adulterated blends or synthetic oils can sometimes have less predictable effects.

If you have a history of miscarriage you could also avoid chamomile and lavender for the first few months, although in general these are excellent oils for pregnancy.

<p class="MsoNormal" I was once read a book entitled, “The Encyclopedia of Aromatherapy, Massage and Yoga” by, Carole McGilvery, Jimi Reed, and Mira Mehta. It helps me in any way to relax and release tension and discomfort. For all pregnant women like me, I want to share it with you what I’ve read and it is easy to follow with detailed step-by-step instructions with your partner or husband.

The Back:

After about the fourth month of pregnancy it becomes uncomfortable to lie on the stomach, so work with your partner sitting up with a towel-wrapped pillow or back of a chair to lean over for support.

1. Make sure your partner is comfortable and place your left hand over the forehead and the palm of your right hand across the back of the neck. Hold for a few moments and then release.

2. Apply a little oil of your fingers and using a slight but gentle pressure, softly massage each side of your partner's neck and shoulders, kneading mainly with the thumbs. This will help to relieve the tension often caused by the weight of enlarged breasts.

3. Stroke the oil evenly over the back and begin an effleurage movement (a soothing, stroking motion with two hands, moving up the sides of the spine and out over the shoulders). Repeat several times to establish a rhythm and relax your partner.

4. Using the thumbs, work upward on each side of the spinal column from the lower back to the neck to help release congestion along the spinal nerves. Repeat four times. Clear the movement by sweeping up the back using the calming effleurage stroke.

5. Starting from the center of the back, begin working up and outward across the width of the back with superficial effleurage movements. Repeat the movements several times until your partner is relaxed. This will help to stimulate the circulation and has a soothing effect on the nerve endings.

6. Using a double-handed movements, press down and then gently lift the muscles to the side of the neck, rolling with the thumb, and then release. Work out from the neck across the shoulder, and then repeat across the other shoulder. Performed slowly with rhythmic movements this is very relaxing and will alleviate stiffness.

The Abdomen:

For a pregnant woman, the weight of the uterus can constrict important blood vessels if she lies down flat on her back, so provide plenty of pillows, cushions, bolsters or rolled towels to support your partner behind the back, under the neck and knees and anywhere else she needs to feel comfortable.

It may seem alarming to massage the abdomen during pregnancy but, providing the strokes are light and careful, it is safe and relaxing for mother and baby. Gentle massage all over the abdominal area can be very soothing and is beneficial for relieving the stretched feeling often experienced during pregnancy. Apply oil evenly over the area to help feed the tissues and lessen the possibility of stretch marks.

Using the flat of your hands, carefully glide them up from either side of the waist, lifting your hands off as they reach the navel, and then start again. Continue to stroke the area with a light, soft touch, working over the whole of the abdomen to soothe and calm.

After a minute of gentle circular movements, place the fingertips of the solar plexus region and cover with your right hand. Rest both hands for a moment and then release to help alleviate stress.

style="text-align: justify;">Make sure your partner is comfortable, with the knees supported by cushions.

Begin gently stroking the leg with an effleurage from the ankle to the knee, smoothing up the shin and then glide around the calf. It can help to relieve the swelling, varicose veins or cramp which afflict many pregnant women. Do not use any heavy movements to the legs and avoid any reflexology movements to the feet, though gentle stroking around the ankles may well be appreciated.

<p class="MsoNormal" End the massage by smoothing the hair away from the neck and forehead, releasing all the negative energy. Allow your partner to rest for 15 minutes and then help her to get up very gently.

<p class="MsoNormal" It's a kind of call that each one of us can make a stand about the global warming. And because of this, we are invited to turn off our lights in one hour, starting 8:30-9:30 pm. Thousands of countries will join and millions of people will make a difference. For me, in just one hour, the whole world can save energy and at the same time it's a starting process for us to stop global warming. It's not one place or country that was affected by this global warming but it's the whole earth already and it's the best time for us to start, to make actions and solutions to stop this calamity before anything else can happen. We have our own choice of what we want us to be in this planet. And we have our own will of what could be the best things that will happen on this earth. So, make a stand and it will make a difference.

Stop Global Warming...

feel grief

Have you been in a situation were you received an unexpected news first thing of your day? It's a big lost for us for she is the only sister of my mother in law. I know how difficult it is to accept the reality but it's a cycle of life. Anyway, the doctor informed us before that she will live a shorter life because of her condition but still we're not expecting that she will died as early as this time. We're just talking yesterday about another visit of her but now the person we wanted to see is lost. I know she's with her daughter who died not long ago and rest in peace with our Creator. We grieve her lost and pray that eternal peace will grant her and may her souls rest in peace.

baby's things

It's time to prepare the things I need when I deliver my baby. I didn't buy new things because I have old baby's layette and etc. from my nephews and nieces. Their all look new and you have to wash it again and dry. It's more practical and economical. I don't need to waste my money to buy anything which I don't need it again in some other time. Babies are so fast they grow. You can have their needs like clothing from any of your family members which they didn't use but can be of use to you. My mother helps me everything in ready. My husband finds time after work to fix and to repaint the wooden crib. We have so much fun preparing and everyone is excited to see the baby soon. I'm so happy, blessed and flattered that every family members were very supportive to us. I just only hope and pray that I will have a normal delivery and my baby is healthy. I don't need anything right now but only for my baby to be brought safely to this world.

just knew...

I've just arrived from my prenatal check -up. I inherited it at my mother's side. It attact me at the middle of the night sometime but it didn't bother me that much. I just keep myself calm and drink a lot of water and it will disappear for a couple of minutes. The doctor advice me to consult an internal medicine (IM) just to be sure. You can never know when asthma attact during labor. And if it will happen, I will have a caesaren delivery (hope it will not). I will be back two weeks from now to my doctor for check-up. I was panic, cried and didn’t know what to do. My husband brought me to the hospital right away before anything else happened especially that I’m pregnant. The doctor asked me questions if I felt intense pain in my womb and behind my back. She conducted a pelvic examination to know if I had a blood clot inside my womb and fortunately the result is negative. She also told us to take an ultrasound as a final medical test just to be sure if the baby is doing fine and safe. I’m so happy then that my baby is doing well and nothing to worry about. But, the doctor cannot determine if it’s a girl or boy and it’s in frank breech position. She told us that it’s normal like I’m in twenty-four weeks pregnant. And now, the doctor advice me to take a bed rest for a couple of days. I’m so thankful to my husband for always there beside me, to comfort me. And to our family for their prayers and undying support for us, as we begin a new life as a couple, and as a family. Thank you…

Sleepless Night

Lately this week, I can’t sleep at night. I don’t know if still part of my pregnancy but I’m worried about my health of not having complete hours of sleep. I used to drink milk before going to bed but still didn’t work. And because of it, I try reading some inspiring books and novenas (prayer book) just to have a diversion of my mind and not thinking out of no were. If I’m done with my prayers and get bored of reading, I try waking up my husband by tickling behind his ears. I want him to be awake and try to massage my feet. It sounds so weird but I want it that way every night. Next week in my prenatal check-up, I will tell my doctor about my concern if it is normal or if theirs a prescription just to have a complete sleep at night.

A mother - to – be

The first day I knew I was pregnant; I was so happy and excited. We supported each other, and be open to the caring of our family and close friends.

The first trimester or the first 3-month periods of my pregnancy is not an exciting one. Early signs of pregnancy like breast tenderness, frequent urination, occasional nausea and vomiting (so-called morning sickness), as well as fatigue are often occurring. My happiness may be mixed with confusion about being pregnant. I’ll probably do a lot of thinking and pleasant daydreaming.

And now, in my second trimester of my pregnancy, morning sickness disappear which I suffered a lot and I can eat food whatever I want but of course if should be healthy and nutritious food for me and my baby. I’ll be thrilled when I feel first movement of my baby and wondering if it is a boy or a girl. But, we don’t want an ultrasound yet, maybe on the last trimester of my pregnancy. I do enjoy “showing” that I’m pregnant. And probably want more warmth and affection from my husband and fortunately he does all the time. I’m so thankful to him for being so understanding when the physical and emotional changes occur. I have all his attention and reassuring that I can depend on him anytime. Are you done buying holiday gifts for your loved ones? I bet, the kids are excited for Santa’s gifts. I remember when I was kid, I get really excited on Christmas Eve because I thought Santa would give me gifts until my grandma blew it, she told me that there was no Santaclaus at all - it was my father. I was so upset upon learning this fact. So, after then, we stopped putting stockings behind our doors. But anyhow, Have you been wondering how and when Christmas stockings and gifts started? Well, here is the story behind this Christmas tradition. In 17 centuries ago in Turkey, a bishop of Myra named Nicholas was known for love of children and benevolence. On every Christmas Eve, he used to secretly and surprisingly give gifts to the children in the town. On Christmas Eve, while he passed by a house, he heard a father and three daughters mourning about their poverty. They used to live abundantly but when their mother died of illness and after losing their money in useless and bad inventions. They moved into a peasant’s cottage, they were discussing on how they were not able to be married because they can’t afford nor provide a dowry which was the traditional thing to do at that time. Knowing the grief and despair, St. Nicholas felt pity on them. He looked in the window and observed that they were sleeping. He threw three small bags of gold in the chimney and landed in the stockings that had been hung over the fireplace to dry. St. Nicholas was caught in the act by their father which whom he begged to keep his secret. Guess what? Their father could not help to keep his mouth from telling the incident. The entire village learned from it days later. The three daughters were able to get married and lived happily. After that, hanging of stockings became a tradition on Christmas Eve. That’s how Christmas stockings started

Windows Update

Microsoft just issued a critical security warning or a security patch through its automatic update system to patch users computers. It leaves visitors unaware their systems have been compromised. That’s why I am really meticulous in visiting sites. I know, we can’t really avoid virus. We just have to be careful. Oh boy, it is not easy to wipe out malware and reformat computer. It takes hours to do this.

Actually, I set up my Windows updates daily. To manually download available updates, go to Microsoft Update or in Windows Vista go to your control panel. After your computer has been scanned to see which updates it needs, click the Custom button to find and choose the update you want to install. Install all High-Priority Security and Critical updates immediately. But usually updates conveyed routinely to your PC. I still have to do a lot of things here. I forgot if I already submitted this blog site to Google so it will be cached. How important is Google cache? Actually, Google takes a snapshot of your site. Google examines and caches, meaning stores, that version as a back-up. This "cached version" is what Google uses to judge if a page is a good match for your query. In the case, the my site is down or something happened with my web host, I can access back and restore all my posts or my site from the Google cache. However, I heard that Google cache updates frequently. They said it depends on the site, if you have good inbound links, your site will likely be cached everyday. I just checked if this blog is already cached by Google, but unfortunately, not yet! Well, I hope in the coming days. So, if you want to know if your site is cached by Google. Go to Google search, type in cache:yoursite.com. Then, you will see your homepage and the date it was cached.
