Jessa and Jon found us through two of our past clients. It all started with Kate and Mike back in 2010. Kate is super creative and an incredibly kind soul. After shooting her wedding, I really thought thought she should seriously consider event planning. That girl’s got skill! Kate then had us shoot her friends Danielle and Dan (also in 2010). Danielle always has me laughing. She too has this genuinely kindhearted demeanor. I had a blast working with both of these couples!

When Jessa first contacted me, she reminded me that she was a bridesmaid in Kate’s wedding. At that moment I knew this was going to be marvelous! Jessa and Jon met in the ER. Jon is a doctor and Jessa is a nurse. So, yes, they have that doctor/nurse love thing going on. One of their favorite things to do is travel and these two have been everywhere! Their engagement session was travel themed and, as you can see, so was their wedding. Jon even proposed on the beach during a trip to Hawaii. Once I heard what world travelers they both are, I wondered what geographic location would make the cut for their honeymoon. I’m sure this was a tough decision for them but in the end Fiji was the winner. Neither of them has been and  who doesn’t want to go to Fiji?!?! Congratulations and I know you two will continue to have amazing adventures together.

Lauren and Tim are two truly kind hearted people. They have this sweet quiet love that is so strong. You can see it in the way that they look at each other. The whole day Lauren was smiling and laughing but when Tim was close, she lit up just a little bit more. We were honored to be a part of their big day. Thank you Lauren and Tim!

A wedding runs so smooth with an amazing team behind the scenes. Stephen with Bloom Fresh Flowers once again out did himself with the gorgeous florals. David with the Westin was incredibly hands on and accommodating. Jessica with JEM Events had the day running perfectly and Mark of DJ Maskell really rocked out the party!

American Airlines may just be a plane or a flight to us but to Anitta and Ron, American Airlines is love. While Anitta and Ron had known each other for a long time, they lost touch for several years. Anitta happened to be flying for work and had a long layover in Dallas. She decided to reach out to Ron (who lives in Dallas) and the two got reacquainted again. After Anitta left Dallas, she kept in touch with Ron. They dated long distance, flying back and forth to see each other for TWO years!

Anitta told me how they started dating and I knew we should shoot at Gravelly Point Park where the Reagan Airport planes fly overhead. Their story just goes to show, you never know when you are going to find that special someone. Enjoy some of our favorites from the session!

I am obsessed with the Hilton at Tysons Corner’s lobby! We occasionally meet couples there for wedding consultations. Renee and Derek fell in love with the modern, swanky lobby at their own consultation. When it came time to discuss engagement session locations, these two had their minds made up. What a cool concept! We did the entire shoot in and around the common areas of the Hilton. Renee and Derek really rocked it out too. Enjoy!

Lauren and Tim weren’t shaken by the possibility of rain. These two are troopers! They braved the on and off mist in the freezing December air for their engagement session in Old Town Alexandria. They were so relaxed and fun to be around that I almost forgot poor Lauren was (I am sure) dying in her short sleeved dress. Well guys, it was worth it, you really rocked it out! We were really excited about Allison and Justin’s engagement session because it was our first time shooting at Meadowlark Gardens. The four of us explored most of the park and these two really rocked the camera! Liz and Jake suggested doing their engagement session in Georgetown during the fall. We were really excited to finally meet Jake since he had not come with Liz to the initial consultation. Liz and Jake share a deep love of food just as Jason and I do! After spending time with the two of them together, we could really see why these two adorable people are in love.
