Unfortunately the folder permissions are proving to be more of a challenge than I anticipated but it’s something I hope to get into the final 1.0.0 release.

Implemented 3D code (extra secure verification), improved the My Account look & feel, added invites system, fixed bug where HTTPS was not always on, added meta viewport for mobile devices, added protection against Cross Site Request Forgeries, new shiny logo, migrated issue system from Trac to CodebaseHQ, go straight to password when there is only one search result, added Windows Phone 7 to user agents for mobile detection, new favicon, and numerous bug fixes.

New features (business users)

Fixed error disabling a user when already disabled, added basic LDAP authentication support, improvements to interface for LDAP mode, CSV importer for businesses, and numerous bug fixes.

We’re already planning stuff for the 0.7.0 roadmap and gaining traction. Hopefully this app will become useful to some people in the near(ish) future. I will try to update the blog more often

If you read through the list of stuff, you’ll see I added an invites system, which means yes, a sort of private beta is going on. If you would like to take part in the private beta, please e-mail support@privatepasswords.co.uk for an invite!

• Try to automatically send us your username if you’ve forgotten your username
• Added “View” link on folder management to view the folder
• Made link to mobile internet version work, even when not on a supported phone

Anyway, a few more of our changes are:

• Fixed an issue with search where searching for nothing would return all your passwords (!)

• Update the notice which displays which fields are encrypted
• Added an invites system so you can invite up to 5 new people
• Fixed a display issue with notes field
• Various other back end tweaks

Version 0.1.7 includes these changes:

• Move to/Copy to folder
• Password strength meter
• Changed home page HTML to be more semantically correct for non-CSS browsers
• Started adding more help files (we have made an a help file CMS to make it easy for us to maintain this now!)
• Made the “No” button on delete pages really big, and the “Yes” button really small
• Fixed bug in Google Chrome where menu items were wrapping round
• Added “Cancel” links to pages to cancel editing

• All fields in a stored password are now encrypted except the name – previously only the password field was.
• We’ve implemented an audit trail to keep track of when your passwords are viewed, changed, deleted etc. (you can’t view it yet, we’re working on that!)
• We’ve introduced the mobile version designed for Android phones, iPhones, Blackberries and so on. Please let us know if you encounter any problems in your phone!
• Duplicate password notification
• Revealing passwords by default on the edit password page
• “Favourite” passwords feature (see My Account page)
• A load of other minor interface/UX changes

There are several other fixes and general improvements we have also made, and here’s an overview of all the changes:

• Notes box is now in fixed-width font and new lines work properly
• If you’re logged in, going to the home page will redirect you to your main passwords page
• Fixed the issue where remembering your main login details in your browser caused the username/password fields on password add/edit form to be populated with your main login details
• Vastly improved the favicon fetching (please report any issues you have with the favicon fetcher!)
• Fixed the “Remember my login for a day” feature – it will now remember you for a day!
• Added basic search functionality
