Before that i dwell further in the topic my first attempt will be to define a blog post. The most simple definition will be an entry of text, images, video and audio used in amalgamation or individually.

Let me start with the aspect of an individual entry of text. There are different types of text entries which are as follows:

One sentence text entry also seen as statement

One question

A lengthy and well defined text entry

A short text entry to the point

A quotation

A poem

The above are the few text entry as blog post i came across and each of them have a specific character and role to play depending on the target of the blogger.

Statement and question entry

With respect to the one sentence of one question text entry, the aim of the blogger is to see the reaction vis a vis the blog post. At the same time give readers the opportunity to give their real view without being influence by the blogger view.

It is one of the most challenging blog style used by bloggers, as said the aim of the blogger is to the reaction of readers vis a vis the sentence or question used. Few bloggers are in position to get reaction based on a simple statement and many bloggers have surely used this style but there was no real response. No wonder why this blogging style is a rare one.

The statement and question entry are my favorite blog post style. The most beautiful aspect is that readers have a “terrain libre” to express themselves and voice out in a loud way.

What about your views on statement and question entry?

I think most bloggers gave a try to life blogging atleast once, however, I think that life blogging can turn out to be dangerous if content of the blog is public.

People who do not appreciate the blogger of life blogging can us blog content as personal attacks. So I think it is better to restricate readers in life blogging and the blogger should choose the readers.

Life blogging is the most simple and beautiful style of blogging but still the blogger should take maximum precaution while choosing the said style.

It is the most easy blogging style and recommended 5 times per week.

Comment is one of the the motivation factor of many bloggers and yes we bloggers always appreciate to approve comments. Now talking of comments, we should also know what types of comments we value?

A number of times as a blogger you will come across one line comment with 2 to 3 words maximum. For example nice post, well written post… I am sure many of us at one time of another approved such comments. I call such comments hypocrite comments because the person just want exposure and do no even read your blog post. They come and comment for the sake of exposing themselves and comment luv is even better in their evil task.

On the other way hand there are quality comments, where a person will come and argue about his/her views. This onwards may create a debate in the comment section. I call such comments quality comments because the person will take time to read your blog post and onwards give a positive or negative view on the issue blog upon.

Statement comments is another aspect where the person will not give his/her view on the post blog upon, the person will give a personal statement on the issue. This may further add value to the conversation in comment section.

In short I wanted to say that we have different level and quality of comments.

Now as a blogger which types of comments to do you prefer?

You got to have attitude to be arrogant, you need pride to be arrogant, have you people ever thought why some established bloggers are so arrogant?

There are so many established bloggers who started from crap with a small unknown blogs. One day while surfing they came across an established blog and their mind start to work in a somewhat different way.

The time will come where a question will appear Why isn’t my traffic increasing? Why can’t I be like those well known bloggers?

Just imagine who is going to support an unknown blog? Who will be the one to promote a small blog? Who will help a small blogger? Who will show a new blogger the strategy to adopt?

Yes in very rare occasion you will find blogger friends who will show a small blogger the way to choose. Then the new blogger will start to read, learn about everything and nothing and a time will come where they will start to implement literature in a technical way. Little by little hits will start to increase 10, 20, 1000, 100 000 …. revenue will start to increase in same way.

The small blogger will start to become a traffic maniac, all established bloggers are traffic maniac, traffic is never enough. Traffic is the god of bloggers, they will talk about traffic, think about traffic, learn about traffic and dream about traffic. It is not wrong because the motivation factor for established bloggers is traffic.

Established bloggers are arrogant because

Once upon a time they started to blog with reward 10 hits per day.

They had to learn from crap without the help of anyone.

They S%6ed to get a name.

They slept on their keyboard while trying to modify their template.

They spent day and night working on their blog and were never satisfied.

It was not because of one day passion that some bloggers are pro, it is because they worked for it. A number of times they had been rejected, but they continue d to fight and they worked even harder. They s&$%ed to be where they are in actual time.

I personnaly think that Jerry Nayna has done an excellent job concerning The In Thing… because young people in Mauritius needed a quick and easily available overview on trendy stuff. This has been fulfilled with The In Thing…

It would not have been too much to have a tech category and i hope The In Thing will remain a lively edition. Maybe in future we going to have a blog concerning The In Thing… that would be really in.

Overall it can be rated 4/5.

Piggyback bloggers are not going to lose time to cross check real source of the information. Their simple aim is to capitalize on attention to get residual traffics. No wonder why they are news trackers and what matters to piggyback bloggers is the what sells.

Such bloggers are often seen as sploggers because they are dependent on bloggers posts. It is one of the best ways to get residual traffic, however, residual traffic are not going to stay for long. Do think well before adopting this style of blogging because it may kills the integrity of the blogger.

It is recommended to use this blogging style 3 times per week.

We saw clashes on a number of fields and the great entry of our local journalists with a metal shield.

I have been part of this Blogging Community since the last two and a half year and I have to admit that i never saw our blogging world in such a silent cold war. Yes many of us experienced the DifeMedia saga and from that experience we learnt about what to do and not to do.

What to do and not to do?

I am refering to the ethical aspect of hidden blogging rules.

From an ethical view

Boggers never give the name of anonymous commentators or another blogger.

Bloggers never use family name (of member of the blogging community) to counter attack in a blog posts.

Bloggers never bent on personal attacks.

Concerning the actual situation in the blogging community, we always have had critics towards each other. Some hated me while other appreciated me. However, these days i can find that some bloggers have adopted unethical tactics and bent on personal attacks to make critics.

As far as i remember in the last 2 and a half years, there was no blogger who step down so low to use persoal attacks against other bloggers. I am not saying that previsouly there was no arguments, counter arguments, positive or negative critics. But none of us used personal attacks.

Few days back i was talking with an upcoming Mauritian blogger and the blogger told me that Priscus you are in the Mauritian Blogging Community by default. Whether i like it or not i am a member by default.

I hope some bloggers will not turn the Mauritian Blogging Community into a cheap one.

To be updated by Kurt.
