The biggest mistake I made, and continue to see others make once they start to build an organization, is that as the upline, they get emotionally involved and attached to the results of their downline members.

Hi Everybody,
I wanted to pass on this great excerpt from Mike Dillard. One of the biggest questions I get asked constantly is,

‘ If you had it to do all over again, what would you do different?’

Here’s my answer.

The biggest mistake I made, and continue to see others make once they start to build an organization,

is that as the upline, they get emotionally involved and attached to the results of their downline members.

They feel responsible for their success.

Get past that.

It’s not your responsibility.

Make it very clear to your new people as to what they can expect from you as their sponsor.

Do not leave your door wide open or make yourself available 24/7. You are not a charity.

It’s not your job to hold their hand and push them across the finish line, yet for some reason,

that’s become some kind of “expectation” in this industry. ”If I join you, you owe me this…”

B.S.

Just look at corporate America. You get a week or so of orientation and training and then you’re expected

to go to work and get the job done.

You can’t sit there and complain that it’s your bosses’ fault when you don’t meet the expectations set upon you.

You just get fired and replaced.

Remember, you’re a business builder. You are a marketer, and whether or not you want to admit it,

you are a sales person.

You want to spend 90% of your time marketing, prospecting, and building your business. Your downline

will see this and understand it as the “norm”, which means they will do the same.Deciding to do anything

else will result in a downline of hand-holding, shoulder-crying,

sympathetic excuse makers.

Setting this example is the best thing you could ever do for them.

So am I saying not to train and support your people?

Of course not.

But that should only consist of 10-20% of your daily activity. It should not become your primary focus

which is what tends to happen.

So duplication is great in theory, but can become chaotic when you throw people into the equation.

Pick a system.

Use it.

Teach it.

Most people will not duplicate no matter how easy you make it for them, but the “right” people will.

After all we want to find the right people that want to win.

When I was growing up I was involved in about every sport you could think of. Many of the sports I played, I didn’t have allot of natural talent or speed so what got me by and helped me get better was having a pretty disciplined work ethic. I was a competitor and just hated to loose at anything so I always felt like I gave great effort all the time. But I remember all my coaches always lecturing us when doing conditioning to “Run through the line”

Now allot of people never think about these kind of statements, but I have always been the type of person who for some reason can’t let certain statements go. I use to think man doesn’t this coach know I have given my best effort today and have worked really hard. I use to think you run through the line I’m tired, I’ve worked really hard today whats the big deal if I let up a little on the last step or 2 to catch my breath?

Then as I grew up and started being in business for myself I started think the biggest difference between one person being successful and another just doing ok is the smallest of steps of execution or effort, just the willingness to just do a little bit more sometimes makes all the difference.

I started to think about Olympians for example, how many Olympians have been 1 step or 1/100 of a second from being a gold medal winner or even a silver medal winner instead of just getting the bronze medal or no medal at all?

See my belief is that when you become the type of person that “Runs through the line” thats when real success and change really happens. Most will continue to work hard but coast those last couple steps in everything they do in life giving them less than the results they expected.

In our business I always know the people that “Run through the line” because on the last day of the month our company always ends our promotion of the month at midnight pacific time and the runners (leaders) are always finishing up their day at just past midnight.

They don’t say things like I’ve had a pretty good month I think I’ll call it a day early , theres always tomorrow or I’ll do better next month. Leaders are finishers and not only do they “Run through the line” the last day of the month but they “Run through the line” everyday never coasting those last 2 steps. I believe when you change your philosophy to this mentality real success can and will begin for you.

Hope this tip helps grow your business to a new level,

I would say the number one question I am asked in my business is “Who are the right people for our business?”. The answer is there is NO way of knowing.

Were in a interesting industry of timing, Our business is all about finding people at the right time of their life. What I mean by that is circumstances in peoples life’s change all the time with their jobs, family life etc. It’s so important for us all to understand that if we approach a person right after they have just had their biggest financial success in their life they may not be looking for an opportunity to like ours right now.

Or maybe we approach a person who has just had a horrible day at work and can’t stand his job anymore so he is excited to meet us because this is the opportunity to change his life from frustration to personal success.

It’s interesting because in the past I have sponsored people ranging for the #1 real estate salesman in our area who ended up doing absolutely nothing, to a housewife that has went on to make 1000′s of dollars because she had a HUGE desire and a BIG reason why she wanted to be successful in our business.

Could the #1 real estate guy be successful in network marketing? Absolutely but he has to want it, he has to be willing to pay the price in effort to be successful. That’s what’s GREAT about our industry its an equal opportunity for all, you don’t need special schooling or have to had previous success in something else in life.

You just have to bring a desire to succeed along with a work ethic and the willingness to follow through with what you want to accomplish for your family and yourself.

The most important point to know is when you get started in your new business don’t look back get focused on being successful and TAKE MASSIVE IMMEDIATE ACTION. Nothing else matters once you decide to get started don’t let anything or anyone get in your way. You were born to be a winner don’t let nay sayers steal this dream from you..

Hope This Helps, Your friend and Business Partner,

Hello Everyone,I wanted to share some thoughts and current events we are going through today.

To be successful, one must be willing to pay a price. You see the mark of a true champion is not the amount of times you get knocked down, but rather the amount of times you stand back up. I am sure you have heard this before but most people don’t even realize they are flat on their back, swimming in the pool of mediocrity all of their lives. Do you know why? It’s because when a challenge comes along in the pursuit of their dreams, they feel comfort relaxing in the pool of excuses.

Justrecently I have gone through some serious personal challenges. Why am I sharing this with you? It’s not for you to feel sorry for me! NO, the reason I am sharing this with you is that I want you to know that being a leader is about leading through challenges. If I expect to be a leader, in our business of helping people, then I have to be willing to pay the price. The price of disappointments. The price of picking up the pieces and starting over. The price of consistency, patience and a strong work ethic. Remember, “Do today what others won’t, to have tomorrow what others don’t”.

Do you honestly think that Ialways feel like doing these things? Of course not, but what do feelings have to do with success? Nothing.

You see I am grateful to have gone through these challenges that it allows me to experience, in a big way, the challenges that WE all go through every day. How in the world do I expect to know the challenges you go through unless I constantly go through them myself. I would be a hypocrite if I did this business only when times are great. But through challenges and only though challenges, comes the sweet taste of victory.

It’s because we are going through the challenges that will allow a great victory to happen. It is impossible for you to have a large organization unless you go through great trials also. You can’t have one without the other. We all constantly have our own “Challenges”.

In conclusion, are you grateful that you are going through challenges? Are you working through them so you can relate your experiences with others in the future of how you got through it ? Or are you floating in your pool of excuses?? Believe me; I know that those excuses can seem realand painfulat times. I go through them all the time. Luck has NOTHING to do with success. I think you get my point.

That’s it for now; I have to get on with being lucky. Now more that ever, people down here need to see an opportunity that keeps paying even when times get tough.

As Imentioned earlier feelings have nothing to do with success, only action does. My family is worth the price of success and I know yours is too. Whatever your challenges are stand up and make it happen! Make it happen for yourself, your family and for others around you to see that it is possible for them to achieve what you have achieved. It is so worth it. I am here with you!

Hope This Helps Your Friend and Business Partner,

Early Happy New Year Everyone, I always love the patented New Years resolution. It's interesting that every year we wait until January to make a new promise to ourselves.

Early Happy New Year Everyone, I always love the patented New Years resolution. It’s interesting that every year we wait until January 1st to make a new promise to ourselves. Maybe it’s to be a better person, quit smoking, loose weight or just make more money. The problem with New Years resolutions is not the resolution itself, but the commitment that needs to come with them.

I always find it interesting that in January I can’t find a single spot to park at my health club, which had spots available all year long. But then come February the parking lot is empty again? Why is that? Just one month ago these individuals vowed to change their life and now they have changed their mind? Is it possible that they thought it over and discovered it was a bad idea to get in shape?

The answer is NO it was just time for the commitment end of the bargain to kick in and they weren’t committed.

It’s a lot like our business model network marketing not to be confused with NOTwork marketing. The facts are 1000′s of people have changed their lives financially forever do to this GREAT industry. Yet many people believe there is some kind of magical secret or special plan that makes only a certain amount of people successful, which is ridiculous.

When you decide to change your life wither it be with your health or financially you must first decide what your going to do and then commit to achieving it.

People don’t have success in anything they do without having an unshakable commitment to what they are doing. Every year I set goals for myself both in the financial aspect and the health aspect of my life. Then I write down what I’m willing to do or sacerfice in order to achieve this goal or New Years resolution if you want to call it that.

Everyday I remind myself how important my goal is by making a new day resolution each and every day to move towards and stay committed to having success in achieving it. I don’t let the first obstacle or person that wants to distract me from my goal get in my way, otherwise my goals would really just be day dreams which accomplishes nothing.

In order to change your life you must be willing to change your bad habits of not following through, especially when it comes to achieving your goals and dreams.

This year when the clock strikes midnight make a promise to yourself to keep the promises you make to yourself. This is your year to change your life and change the lives around you.

This year commit to yourself to follow through.
