I'm currently on the hunt for new bedding, new bath items, (and other accessories) for my new apartment! I've always been a huge fan of West Elm. I love how all of their pieces are modern, yet chic.

There is something I just love about simple strips!

1. Royal Wardrobe and Family Jewels:

Keeping up with fashion and looking good are going to be at the top of Kate's list of duties. Kate will fortunately be able to help herself from Queen Elizabeth's $39 million collection of accessories. Kate will also get a wardrobe that any woman would envy. As well as the wardrobe, Kate, like Princess Diana before her, will also get a royal dresser who will help advise her on all those outfits.

2. Personal Assistants 24-7:

Every bride and newly-wed appreciates any help she can get. Kate will have several aides to assist her, all day, everyday, day or night. Not a bad thing if you get hungry in the middle of the night and you need someone to bring you a sandwich.

3. Palace Life:

It is reported that Prince Charles will be gifting his 9-bedroom, 900-acre Gloucestershire estate to Prince William and Kate on their wedding. That will certainly take some getting used to.

4. All Trips Paid For:

Since Kate and Prince William both like to travel (Prince William proposed during the couple's recent trip to Kenya) and both of them like to ski, their trips in the future will be all-expenses paid.

5. Kate's New Career:

Kate Middleton will be able to spend her energy performing her royal duties after she is married. She will be able to give up her job at her parents' party supply company.

What a lucky lady.

The new 2012 Volkswagen Beetle has been revealed! I can't believe how manly it looks. I had heard they wanted to go for a more "man-friendly" look, but I never pictured it to look like this! A+ Volkswagen!

I really like the new look of this beetle. Now I wish I would've waited for this beetle instead of buying my 2007 New Beetle last summer. Oh well, thank goodness for trade-in's!

Today ABC announced they will be canceling two long-running soap operas:

All My Children and One Life to Live

In high school, my Mom and I would watch these soap operas everyday after school. It always gave me something to look forward to every week-day at 3pm! I'm sad to see these shows go. But, there is still time to watch the finales of these soaps. All My Children will finish airing in September and One Life To Live will be cut January of 2012.

One of the best parts about living in Minneapolis is staying out late and partying with friends. The worst part: waking up the next day after staying up till dawn drinking too many vodka cranberries. Luckily, I have learned a few tricks to erase the effects of a hangover from hell before I go to work or class!

When you get home:

Wash your face before going to bed.
Even if your head is pounding, try to brush your hair before bed. It will feel so good on your scalp.
Take some Frederic Fekkai Protein RX Creme and run it through your hair and twist them into a bun. You will wake up to pretty waves and volume.
Smooth on eye creme and lip balm, and lots of face moisturizer.
Most importantly, chug water!

In the A.M.:

Apply a rich, soothing moisturizer -preferably one with a built-in shimmer, like High Noon Freshface Glow. Alcohol dries out your skin so this will help brighten and replenish your skin.
Next, focus on the eyes -they're probably swollen, ringed with dark circles, and blood-shot. Rohto Cooling Eye Drops will take the red right out. Use concealer (a.k.a- a girl's best friend) to cover up those circles. I also put spoons in the freezer and then rest the spoons on my eyelids for fifteen minutes. Ahh.. It feels so good.
Finally, bring the glow back to your cheeks with a dab of rosy blush and bronzer such as Nars Orgasm Blush and Nars Laguna Bronzer. You want to add just a hint of color to your complexion -don't over-do it, thats a dead giveaway that you were out all night and you are trying to hide the evidence.

Last Saturday, April 2nd, the first episode of Rookies To Racers aired on the Discovery Channel! The fun thing about that is, it was also Nate's birthday! He was really pumped about that. It was nice that Nate and I could watch the first episode together. For that whole hour, mine and Nate's eyes were glued to the TV. We saw his car (a silver Jetta #30) many times and he was also in a few clips, too. We also saw his Mom! :) It was definitely really awesome seeing people I know on TV!! I swear, every time I saw Nate or his car, I screamed! It was really exciting!

If you missed the first episode, don't worry because you can actually watch all 3 episodes, back-to-back tomorrow night (April 7th) on the Science Channel! If you don't get the Science Channel, I think they may air them again on the Discovery Channel hopefully this weekend. I'm not sure but they for some reason don't show the airing schedule for this series online...

Anyways, here is the schedule for April 7th (tomorrow night):

my boyfriend Nate is a race car driver.

pretty cool, huh?

last year, he raced in the 2010 Volkswagen Jetta TDI Cup.

i never went to any of the races because the thought of anyone driving at over 90mph freaks me out!

crazy, right? now you know why i'm freaked out.

it's been a long eight or nine-ish months but

the Jetta TDI Cup is finally airing on TV!!

it will air on the discovery channel (april 2nd) and the science channel (april 7th).

So every year I always complain around March-April about how I never have a cute spring jacket and every time I decide to buy one, I can never find a cute one because they are usually out of my size!
