Has the 7,th seal been open yet?? Most would say no,we are between the 6,th and 7,th seal. It seems a certain amount of time passes with each seal so when the 7,th seal is open does Jesus come right away or do certain events take place first?

And when he had opened the seventh seal, there was silence in heaven about the space of half an hour. And I saw the seven angels which stood before God; and to them were given seven trumpets.
Rev 8:1-2 (KJV)

Does this not say the trumpets are givin to the 7 angels after the 7,th seal is opened?

Ok even if you ignore the above intro to the link posted, you cannot ignore the implications of the “scientific accomplishment” of the engineers who preformed these alterations.

I quote “Writing in the journal Human Reproduction, the researchers, led by fertility pioneer Professor Jacques Cohen, say that this ‘is the first case of human germline genetic modification resulting in normal healthy children’.” — WHAT!? If this is the first case that has resulted in normal healthy children, how many have failed, and what kind of children have resulted in past experiments? To be so casual about life in my opinion is a danger we cannot ignore.

In response to Gunnar Bruun. I feel your frustration but really your argument is not all that balanced. You say “Clearly no one could alter genes thousands of years ago” but in all actuality, Im not so sure its a “clearly” thing. There is lots of evidence of advanced civilizations from thousands of years ago. If we are making the advances we are making today with the degraded IQ that we have thousands of years after the fall of man, what could they accomplish with an almost full capacity functioning brain? Not only that but the Scriptures report to us some of them lived for almost a millennium. Those 2 things alone could account for some pretty serious inventions. Lets not be too quick to discount those that have gone before us. But by your statements it looks as though that was not the main thrust of your statement.

I hope you dont feel I’m coming at you.. Im not at all. Just simple observation and conversation. God bless you all!

See, this is the problem with neglecting to think for yourself and feeling forced to accept someones word no matter what.

Clearly no one could alter genes thousands of years ago, and it should be obvious to anyone. ONLY if you start with the assumption that every word someone has written HAVE TO be true do you end up having to defend nonsense like that.

And…the earth has not found a way to genetically engineer babies, it’s the brilliant scientists that have done so.

I do believe that she fufills the test of a prophet but that is quite a statement unless you are not considering the prophetic words of the apostles like Paul, Peter, John the Revelator who indeed were prophets but were not called thus.

I didn’t see your post until just now, and here’s my reply:

I was a SDA for 16 years of my adult life, I know what it’s about and I can confidently say that I don’t believe in any of the gods people around the world believe in.

The whole “pray for one week” thing is simply an emotional plea, hoping that the person doing it during the week starts hoping it’s real. It has nothing to do with rationally evaluating the evidence and then deciding what’s most likely to be true. I believe that is the better way to go.

Just ONE of the MANY beauties of our Father, is the ability to freely choose what you will believe. There is plenty of evidence for both arguements. But if you are honest with yourself, just a haphazard assessment of our current events around the globe, will tell you that we are not living in the good old days. This situation is about to erupt. IS ERUPTING! Soon, the dead fish you see all over the planet, washed up against the shore like a gravel road, will be a different species. This planet IS 6000 years old. GOD DID make this planet. And our week is almost over.(Thank you Father for your longsuffering towards us) Whether you want to see it today or not olasonn, it will soon be painfully evident to both the believers… and the people that choose not to see it.

God did this for our sakes that we should not become discouraged as we go through the process God knows is necessary:

…even as Naaman had to dip the full seven times
before he saw his complete healing realized; if Naaman hadn’t endured, or abided in the water – following the plan, he would not have seen the fulfillment of the promise.

Well, clerly the earth is older than 6000 years old, no matter what that means to your faith or not.

And, no belief in a god or a law from a god certainly doesn’t mean anarcy, just look at the correlation between lack of religious belief and crime rates in the world. The Scandinavian countries are the most atheistic countries, and also the most peaceful. Coincidende? I doubt it.

I am so thankful to God to be a part of this great movement and to hear the perspectives that have been shared. God bless and keep you all. I do not believe our preperation is a physical one. I believe we are called to go forward in the spirit and power of Elijah and share the Three Angels messages with the world. To do that we must remain in contact with others and love them. Most people do not even want to come to church. On my small island, my church just had a crusade and hundreds of handbills were given out, yet only a few people came. God expects each of us to take the everlasting Gospel out of the building and share with each precious soul. In that way, God has a church full of Elijah’s that He can use to finish the work. We need not worry about the time when we cannot buy or sell. Our mission is to carry the message and it is God’s responsibility to take care of us. John the Baptist was one who came in the spirit of Elijah and his mission was to prepare the then world to meet the Lamb of God. Our mission today is the same. We are to prepare people to meet the coming King Jesus. Let’s look at how much John the Baptist and Elijah prepared for their own safety and needs. Their focus was the mission given them of the Lord. John lost His life for Christ and Elijah was cared for miraculously. Both fates await the Seventh-day Adventists today who intend to go all the way with Jesus and the Good News is that both fates end with eternal life with Jesus…Praise God. Lets love and share with people while we can. While it may be wise to plan for emergencies and “small” times of trouble, there is no physical preparation that can see us through the trouble before us. Only God can. Any preparation with the intention of self preservation is comparable to the tower of Babel. I agree with those who said that our preparation must be spiritual. By the way, I do believe there’s a modern day ark and it’s God’s remnant church. We have to issue the call to those in Babylon to come out and come into God’s remnant fold, His “ark” of safety.

When we lovingly preach the 3 Angel’s messages to all we come in contact with, doing so with meekness, Godly fear and compassion, making sure we start with the Gospel and lifting up God, His love and His Holy Law, showing from the Scriptures that the Sabbath is the seal of the living God, the devil will respond with his Sunday law. But if we don’t preach the truth, why would he need the Sunday law?

The most important thing for us to do is make sure we are totally committed to Christ and His Commission, to preach the Gospel to all the world and only the Seventh-day Adventist church can do it.

The world is going to be in such a state that crops will fail because of the extreme weather patterns … we will have to trust in HIM to provide for us!!

PS: We live in South Africa and as you might have heard on the news …. most of the farmers get murdered and get badly tortured before they die, would not want to live on a farm in SA these days, really !)

As a SDA member, I believe that the SDA members who are leaving cities for property and growing their own food is not in preparation for this event. It is for the many blessings that come with country living. Fine biblical examples would be John the baptist and Enoch. We believe that in that time of great trouble Jesus will provide for His people as he provided for Elijah in the wilderness, using what ever means He needs to, even if that includes using ravens. The 91st psalm will be a great treasure to any who go through that event. “For He shall give His angels charge over you, To keep you in all your ways.” Vs 11 The topic of leaving cities is a rather large topic. I agree with the sentiments above. There is a growing movement out there primarily in the world. It’s focus is on sizing down on their housing, utility and debt needs in order to free up resources to live life and get out of debt or stay out of debt. There is a tiny house movement and a small house movement. Basically people are re-thinking how much stuff do they need in order to live life and find happiness. Do they need a 1200 s.f. apt while they are in college with all the bells and whistles? Can even a married couple live in small but efficiently built quarters where they are not throwing money away in rent and have worked a bit to own a small or tiny home with minimal investment? Can they stay at home until they have accomplished this? Then with that behind them proceed to invest their income into college tuition and already have a small but suitable dwelling paid for until they can sell that down the road and upgrade to a small home when children enter the picture? By working, and living at home or in small quarters that are paid for and many of these people opt to provide their small dwellings with off grid options I see them as one step ahead of the game. How appropriate a response would this be for SDA’s who believe in the vision of Ellen White and the Narrow Road? She saw as they went up the road got narrower and steeper and more and more of our earthly belongings had to be discarded in order to keep traveling the road and eventually all had to be left behind. Why do we cling so tightly to our materially possessions and yet claim to want to be missionaries and say we don’t want debt and yet we feel we need to start out in life with big homes, new furniture and fancy cars. We complain about our debts and how we can’t afford to serve God because of loans and cost of living expenses, but do we not bring this on ourselves because of our own choices that God has not brought onto us? I see people out in the world making choices that will help them in the end to be part of the multitude that will come into the church because they are lining themselves up now to be free of debt, dependency on the worlds resources to live and letting go of their grasp on wanting worldly possessions to bring them happiness! You don’t have to make as much if you don’t require as much to live. You are free to travel and work for God with out a huge expense to maintain your expensive lifestyle.

Seventh-day Adventist are by no means the only group who believes the end of the world is quickly approaching, and consider correct choices in regard to this fact matter. We are somewhat unique among the groups in what we enjoin as proper preparation, however.

Let’s look at some of the other options for preparing for tough times between now and the time Jesus Christ returns in the clouds of the sky, as foretold in about 1 in 8 verse of the New Testament. (It is the single biggest still unfulfilled prophecy in the Bible.)

1. The Latter-day Saints preparations include laying aside a two year supply of non-perishable food to get them and their family through tough times sure to come. It is a physical preparation.

2. Some survivalist groups also make preparations, including the storing of food, the stockpiling of weapons for defensive (and sometimes expected offensive purposes, as they intend to step forward and take control when current authority topples into ruins.) Again, it is a physical preparation.

3. Seventh-day Adventists believe the primary preparation is spiritual preparation, specifically reading the Bible, praying, and acting on what the Bible teaches in every day life challenges, which allows a person to increase in faith.

It is this faith in God that will be rewarded in the end times in manner very similar to that experienced by such Bible heroes as Elijah (who was fed by ravens miraculously during a famine of judgment in the days of King Ahab, and later miraculously again by a pagan widow, who took pity on his hunger, and in her poverty provided for his needs, as well as for those of herself and her son).

Also, that faith will provide the sort of Divine Intervention protection (after the “close of probation” when Jesus has finished His work as our High Priest in the heavenly sanctuary and the seven last plagues begin to fall)afforded to Daniel in the lion’s den, and his three friends when they were cast into the fiery furnace of Babylon for their loyalty to the second of the Ten Commandments, the one against bowing to Nebuchaddnezar’s golden idol.

The 13th chapter of Revelation points back to this experience as a symbol of a coming world wide requirement to engage in an action contrary to a command originating from the “sea beast” (identified as the Papacy, through a comparison between this beast’s characteristics in Revelation 13 and the Little Horn power on the head of the fourth Roman beast in Daniel 7).

These viewpoints are very much in keeping with the “Historicist” view of Bible prophecy, which sees the prophecy unfolding progressively down through history from the day it was given until Jesus Second Coming. This was the view held by Martin Luther and all the Protestant Reformers, and which gave them the impetus to break free from the spiritual domination of the Papacy.

Sadly, the very churches called by these Bible based, history aware Reformers who launched the Protestant Reformation have since largely abandoned the interpretive approach of their founders, choosing either “Pretertism”, the view that most of such prophecies had their fulfillment long in the past, near the time of their being penned, or “Futurism”, which rejects the historical fulfillment of such prophecies down through the centuries in favor of putting them all in a short period to occur in the future, just before Jesus returns.

Seventh-day Adventist have continued to study both the prophecies, and their correlation to world events involving the original actors, and new powers that have come on the scene as predicted. As such, their views may legitimately be seen as having walked a little further down the pathway of time in the same direction taken by all the classic Protestant reformers. It is only because Protestantism has by and large, abandoned the prophetic approach of their founders, that more do not examine history as it has unfolded, compare it with prophecy that said it would unfold in the manner it has, and see where we are as we reach the near final fulfillment predicted.

Another quick note as to practical application of an understanding of these things you have studied. While Adventist do believe that spiritual preparation is primary, and also believe that if we store up large amounts of food or other supplies (as do the LDS) that these will simply be taken from us by armed groups (like the survivalists), we do also hold there is room for human wisdom.

We do encourage people to move to places where they are not surrounded by other people and can grow their own food when things go very badly in the larger cities. We also note that at the point the National Sunday Law is passed in America, it is a sign to leave the large cities and find secluded homes in places where we can be self-supporting agriculturally.

At the point where the penalty for keeping the Biblical Saturday Sabbath of the Fourth Commandment goes from being simply a matter of not being able to buy or sell to being a planet wide “religo-cide” after the order of Hamaan’s attempt to wipe out the entire Jewish religion and race in the days of Esther through an oppressive law designed to bring them to an end, then it is time to follow Matthew 24:15-22′s instructions to abandon immediately all human society to seek refuge in as desolate places of the earth as is possible.

So it is a progressive withdraw from society. So long as Jesus still is our High Priest in heaven, which He will be up until some time after the National Sunday Law in America, and before the first of the seven last plagues are poured out, then warnings to others of what is coming are necessary. It is our positive duty to remain in contact with the rest of human society to give these warnings from the prophecies of the Bible.

After the plagues begin to fall, there is no longer any need, because all cases will have been decided, and all minds made up for, or against, bowing the knee of one’s soul to a one world, one religion, law concerning the appropriate day of worship, or obeying the Fourth Commandment instead. There will be no need to stay longer, as there will be no one left to warn.

I would encourage you to remain in that study group and learn more. Seventh-day Adventist were born in the study of Bible prophecy and have had a more sustained interest in these prophecies and their fulfillment than any other group in the Christian Church. Some say, “You Adventists have forgotten more about Bible prophecy than we ever knew!”

The books of Daniel, Revelation, Matthew 24 and Luke 21, II Thessalonians 2, and II Peter 3 would be good places for further study of these matters. I also recommend the books “Great Controversy” and “Maranatha” by Ellen White as excellent depictions of the historicist approach, understanding, and application of these crucial end time prophecies.

What you shared is correct. This is what true SDAs believe. As far as preparing for the not selling and buying time, one of our messages is to get out of the cities, flee to the mountains, and get off the grid, preparing for what is coming by planting gardens, trees, etc. Now, having said that, we don’t believe in being 100% cut off from the world. We believe that although we should be away from the cities to live in, we are still to preach in the cities. Not to live too far away from the cities so that we can go and witness in them. This is what SDAs believe.

I am a 3rd generation SDA, and for the most part you got it right. The only part I would question is where you stated “They actually believe that one’s decisions will effect their eternal life, which some consider salvation by works”. Im not sure how the one follows the other, but we dont believe in salvation by works. It says in the Bible that Christians will be known by their works, but its not the works that come first. The works are just a natural result of having a relationship with Jesus, not a way of making ourselves any more fit for Heaven-which is something that is impossible anyway.

As for why we (as a whole) dont appear to be assembling some sort of ‘Ark’ to save ourselves with, its quite simple-nothing we can do is going to stop anyone from taking it from us or driving us from where ever we may take refuge. The only way we are going to make it through this ‘Time of trouble’ is if God intervenes on our behalf.

There are way to many ways for the authorities to find us to try to hide. Congress right now is in the middle of trying to legislate away a private citizens ability to grow his own food-among other freedoms. So unless God finds Himself a modern day Noah, and specifically tells him to build a refuge, buy a bunker, or find an island retreat somewhere for all of us to ride out whatever fate Satan is planning for us, we will live by the axiom ‘Live like it is your last day on Earth, and plan like yore going to be here forever’.

I am SO PROUD of my little wife, she is a VERY MODEST woman, and truly believes in modesty and keeping herself pure. Thank you for recording this, so MANY women do NOT understand what they do to men when they are immodest. It causes men to either ogle them, or to look away and pray for strength. Dear leaders and members of our churches,

Our people need to know what is at stake in supporting women in a function that God never intended. We even have some who have put together a petition of force equality in ordination. This movement, of women in ministry, is not of God and many God loving individuals, including pastors and theologians, have been taken in to support the cause.

As the pressure increases to place women in roles of Elder/Pastor and conference President, I have been impressed to work for the Lord in bringing forth Truth, “in context”, to fight against these sophistries of Satan. To add to your study of biblical support for the Truth in this matter, here are 2 quotes from Sister White that could not be clearer. I am not sure if you have read the following but Sister White is crystal clear on who is qualified for which function.

We must all realize that men and women were created for a different purpose to work together in the service of the Lord knowing that neither gender is of less value in the sight of God.

1. The primary object of our college was to afford young men an opportunity to study for the ministry and to prepare young persons of both sexes to become workers in the various branches of the cause. 5T page 60.
2. Those who enter the missionary field should be men and women who walk and talk with God. Those who stand as ministers in the sacred desk should be men of blameless reputation. 5T page 598

Women should work for the Lord and He has a role for them along with men but not in the office of elder/pastor which would also disqualify women from holding a position in Conference leadership. Our leaders in the NAD have sadly approved women to hold the role of Conference President even after their request to allow women to hold this role was rejected by the GC leadership at the recent AGC. This is not unity.

If 1 Timothy 3:1-7 can be interpreted to support women in the function of elder/pastor, then, in a marriage, what would hinder a woman from assuming the role of a husband or a man from assuming the role of a wife? The argument must be universal and therefore can easily be seen that this reasoning is not of God’s order.

Please take some time to read Chapter 6 of 5T and it will be seen how we have turned from the Lord by rejecting the testimonies given through Sister White. I pray that the damage that will take place in 2015, when God’s Truth is poured out on this topic, at the GC session, of who shall hold the position of Elder/Pastor, will be minimized by having all our leaders in positions of trust to submit to what is written, rightly dividing the Word of Truth and claiming only a “Thus saith the Lord”. There is absolutely no support for this function in the Word of God through the writers of the bible nor found in the writings of Sister White. While support for women in ministry may seem right, the bible is clear when it says, “There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death.” Proverbs 14:12, 16:25.

Our only defence to fight against error is as that of our Lord, “It is written. Man shall not live by bread alone; but man lives by every word that proceeds from the mouth of the Lord.” Deuteronomy 8:3, Matthew 4:4, Luke 4:4 Our people must be educated to know the Truth. “Sanctify them through your truth: your word is truth.” John 17:17.

Satan beguiled Eve by quoting something that God had not said and we are suffering the consequences from her decision to rise to a function and experience that God never intended for her to have and sadly Adam was swayed because of his love for her. Must we love women so much that we are willing to reject God’s clear counsel, in this area, as well?

The Bible tells us to be like the Bereans, and check if these things that you say are so:

Isa 8:20 To the Law and to the testimony, if they speak not according to this word, it is because their is ni light in them.

You stated the following:

“The 2520 “prophecy” is not a time prophecy at all. 2520 years on the Pioneer chart do measure the time between 677 BC and 1843-44 AD. This is not wrong. But the Bible does not teach 2520 years as a time prophecy. The longest time prophecy in the Bible is 2,300 years (Daniel 8:14), and for good reason. It’s central theme is Christ and His work of salvation for the human race. It is of such importance to us that the angel Gabriel was sent by God to reveal it’s meaning to Daniel. (see Daniel 9:21-27). Thus God’s people must not be distracted by any other time period.”

It is interesting that on one hand you the 2520 is correct, yet on the other say it is not a time prophecy??

You said that Daniel was guided by the Angel Gabriel, well so was William Miller, as told us by the pen of inspiration, who calls him the chosen one.

God sent His angel to move upon the heart of a farmer who had not believed the Bible, to lead him to search the prophecies. Angels of God repeatedly visited that chosen one, to guide his mind and open to his understanding prophecies which had ever been dark to God’s people. The commencement of the chain of truth was given to him, and he was led on to search for link after link, until he looked with wonder and admiration upon the Word of God. He saw there a perfect chain of truth. That Word which he had regarded as uninspired now opened before his vision in its beauty and glory. He saw that one portion of Scripture explains another, and when one passage was closed to his understanding, he found in another part of the Word that which explained it. He regarded the sacred Word of God with joy and with the deepest respect and awe. {EW 229.1}

It was necessary for them to portray these “TRUTHS” on a Chart, this chart was a fulfillment of the prophecy of Habakkuk 2.

As early as 1842 the direction given in this prophecy to “write the vision, and make it plain upon tables, that he may run that readeth it,” had suggested to Charles Fitch the preparation of a prophetic chart to illustrate the visions of Daniel and the Revelation. The publication of this chart was regarded as a fulfillment of the command given by Habakkuk. No one, however, then noticed that an apparent delay in the accomplishment of the vision–a tarrying time–is presented in the same prophecy. After the disappointment, this scripture appeared very significant: “The vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end it shall speak, and not lie: though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry. . . . The just shall live by his faith.” {GC 392.2}

Their faith was greatly strengthened by the direct and forcible application of those scriptures which set forth a tarrying time. As early as 1842, the Spirit of God had moved upon Charles Fitch to devise the prophetic chart, which was generally regarded by Adventists as a fulfillment of the command given by the prophet Habakkuk, “to write the vision and make it plain upon tables.” {4SP 241.2}

This chart was directed by God who cannot lie!!

” I have seen that the 1843 chart was directed by the hand of the Lord, and that it should not be altered; that the figures were as He wanted them; that His hand was over and hid a mistake in some of the figures, so that none could see it, until His hand was removed.” {EW 74)

The mistake was a misunderstanding that the Gregorian calendar was missing the year zero, God did not allow anyone to notice this mistake till after the first disappointment, He wanted to test the people, the prophecies however were all correct, God cannot lie.

Jesus and all the heavenly host looked with sympathy and love upon those who had with sweet expectation longed to see Him whom their souls loved. Angels were hovering around them, to sustain them in the hour of their trial. Those who had neglected to receive the heavenly message were left in darkness, and God’s anger was kindled against them, because they would not receive the light which He had sent them from heaven. Those faithful, disappointed ones, who could not understand why their Lord did not come, were not left in darkness. Again they were led to their Bibles to search the prophetic periods. The hand of the Lord was removed from the figures, and the mistake was explained. They saw that the prophetic periods reached to 1844, and that the same evidence which they had presented to show that the prophetic periods closed in 1843, proved that they would terminate in 1844. Light from the Word of God shone upon their position, and they discovered a tarrying time–”Though it [the vision] tarry, wait for it.” In their love for Christ’s immediate coming, they had overlooked the tarrying of the vision, which was calculated to manifest the true waiting ones. Again they had a point of time. Yet I saw that many of them could not rise above their severe disappointment to possess that degree of zeal and energy which had marked their faith in 1843. p. 236, Para. 1, [EW].

It is clear from the above statement, that the prophecies (Plural) which pointed to 1843, now pointed to 1844, there were 3 of them, the 1335, the 2300, and the 2520. The 1335 however cannot be affected by the year zero, it will always point to 1843, that only leaves two prophecies to point to 1844, the 2520 and the 2300.

“I saw the people of God joyful in expectation, looking for their Lord. But God designed to prove them. His hand covered a mistake in the reckoning of the prophetic periods. Those who were looking for their Lord did not discover this mistake, and the most learned men who opposed the time also failed to see it. God designed that His people should meet with a disappointment. The time passed, and those who had looked with joyful expectation for their Saviour were sad and disheartened, while those who had not loved the appearing of Jesus, but embraced the message through fear, were pleased that He did not come at the time of expectation. Their profession had not affected the heart and purified the life. The passing of the time was well calculated to reveal such hearts. They were the first to turn and ridicule the sorrowful, disappointed ones who really loved the appearing of their Saviour. I saw the wisdom of God in proving His people and giving them a searching test to discover those who would shrink and turn back in the hour of trial.” {EW 235.3}

After 1844 it was urged upon Sister to White to produce a second witness to show that the truths on the 1843 Chart were indeed true, she was therefore urged to produce a second chart to confirm these points. She states very clearly that the “TRUTH” is to be put on this Chart, which is also made by God.

Our next conference was in Fairhaven. Brother Bates and wife were present. It was quite a good meeting. On our return to Brother Nichols’, the Lord gave me a vision and showed me that the “TRUTH” must be made plain upon tables, and it would cause many to decide for the truth by the three angels’ messages, with the two former being made plain upon tables. {16MR 207.1}

I saw that God was in the publishment of the chart by Brother Nichols. I saw that there was a prophecy of this chart in the Bible, and if this chart is designed for God’s people, if it [is] sufficient for one it is for another, and if one needed a new chart painted on a larger scale, all need it just as much. {13MR 359.1}

Get a copy of the 1850 Chart and you will see clearly that the 2520 is still on there clearly, along with the DAILY being Paganism, and the 5th and 6th Trumpets are Islam.

As for you saying that this prophecy is not in the Bible is a falacy, don’t you realise if you reject God’s word you reject Christ Himself?

My last point my friend, there is only one accuser of the brethren, please be careful who you call fanatics, they did the same to all the Prophets in the past, and then they crucified Christ, do you think it will be any different at the end?

Well, I guess I joined this dialog concerning TD Jakes kind of late. But I wish to say a few words. I for one want to be careful not to say anything negative concerning TD Jakes. But I in the same token would not invite him to give any sort of instructions on ministry what so ever. Not because I have a problem with him; as a matter of fact I heard him preach many times on television and must say he is a gifted preacher and knows how to move the audience. Yet, the nature and purpose of our message tells me NO, do not invite that man to instruct the church. He can be invited to listen or may be to even share his testimony — but that’s it. The problem with too many of us seventh day adventist is that we have been in a Laodicean stuper for so long that what we would see as a no no a few years ago, has become a yes, yes and that’s okay we can do that now mentality. Some of us are actually taking adventage of the church’s laodicean state to do these things we would not have done before. My problem is not with TD JAKES at all. He may even go to heaven before some of us in the faith do enter, yet I think we should be awake and vigilant because our leaders some if not many are becoming very liberal concerning these things. The leaders of ancient Israel came to a point of stuper also, by going on to the god Ekron (for advice or blessing if I remember correctly). We are no different from ancient Israel. Which is why this thing concerning TD JAKES is not something to keep quiet about. The church must have a voice and ask what is going on. This is one of the many ways which are crucial to knowing that some in the church are still awake. Yet, I would becareful not to assinate the man himself since I know that if it wasn’t by the grace of God I would never have found the truth. So the question is not whether we shall say something or not, but how.

seventh day Adventist already knew the things that happen every now and then. The national Sunday law will be implemented either you like it or not because it is written in the prophesy already. and then it followed the persecution of those who will not obey Sunday law as the day of the lord to be worshiped. Seventh day Adventist will be tested of their faith if they will stand or not if that day will come. But the Lord said “hold fast till I come”.

i do not believe that ellen G white was a true prophet of God, but i believe that she was the true prophet of the bible. am a full time seventh day adventist called by the spirit of God and am here to defend the books of the Lord (the Bible) whose importance and significance has been over riden by the writings of one single individual whose origin we do not know her origin and destiny. the bible is a stand alone word of God na does not need any supplement. Ellen G White quotes the Bible, she also quotes the the writings of other people, this simply means she is speaking the voice of the bible and the writings she is quoting from. the importance and significance of the bible can not be equated to any other book. the system of putting the bible aside and start quoting the writings of Egw to me is insane,if God did not know that man cen not understand him by reading the bible then why did he put it to existence. am not out of my mind. i very much want to find out why people should replace the bible with humanly writings that are focused on money raising. if you were to ask me who my inspiration is and why i worship God i will tell you it is Jesus Christ and not EGW because Jesus died and rose again. EGW died and she is still dead, i dont know whether she will be among those who will go to heaven or not. but if she wont i will not be supprised because she was human like me. the bible can not be equivallent to any other book in importance and significance.

Don’t take me wrong when I say this. We have many examples of people following what we as SDA christians believe Enoch was doing. Living his life as close to Christ as possible. Sharing with others how to do the same and bringing them to the foot of the cross.
Overall, the video had some good content. We as SDA as well as many other denominations do not believe in farming swine, eating or even touching them.
The Bible speaks very plainly about swine.Deut 14:8 is pretty clear.
Also, Early Writings page 123-126 is very plain.
False Shepherds
I have been shown that the false shepherds were drunk, but not with wine; they stagger, but not with strong drink. The truth of God is sealed up to them; they cannot read it. When they are interrogated as to what the seventh-day Sabbath is, whether or not it is the true Sabbath of the Bible, they lead the mind to fables. I saw that these prophets were like the foxes of the desert. They have not gone up into the gaps, they have not made up the hedge that the people of God may stand in the battle in the day of the Lord. When the minds of any get stirred up, and they begin to inquire of these false shepherds about the truth, they take the easiest and best manner to effect their object and quiet the minds of the inquiring ones, even changing their own position to do it. Light has shone on many of these shepherds, but they would not acknowledge it and have changed their position a number of times to evade the truth and get away from the conclusions that they must come to if they continued in their former position. The power of truth tore up their foundation, but instead of yielding to it they would get up another platform that they were not satisfied with themselves. {EW 123.1}
I saw that many of these shepherds had denied the past teachings of God; they had denied and rejected the glorious truths which they once zealously advocated and had covered themselves with mesmerism and all kinds of delusions. I saw that they were drunken with error and were leading on their flock to death. Many of the opposers of God’s truth devise mischief in their heads upon their beds, and in the day they carry out their wicked devices to put down the truth and to [BEGIN P.124] get something new to interest the people and divert their minds from the precious, all-important truth. {EW 123.2}
I saw that the priests who are leading on their flock to death are soon to be arrested in their dreadful career. The plagues of God are coming, but it will not be sufficient for the false shepherds to be tormented with one or two of these plagues. God’s hand at that time will be stretched out still in wrath and justice and will not be brought to Himself again until His purposes are fully accomplished, and the hireling priests are led to worship at the feet of the saints, and to acknowledge that God has loved them because they held fast the truth and kept God’s commandments, and until all the unrighteous ones are destroyed from the earth. {EW 124.1}
The different parties of professed Advent believers have each a little truth, but God has given all these truths to His children who are being prepared for the day of God. He has also given them truths that none of these parties know, neither will they understand. Things which are sealed up to them, the Lord has opened to those who will see and are ready to understand. If God has any new light to communicate, He will let His chosen and beloved understand it, without their going to have their minds enlightened by hearing those who are in darkness and error. {EW 124.2}
I was shown the necessity of those who believe that we are having the last message of mercy, being separate from those who are daily imbibing new errors. I saw that neither young nor old should attend their meetings; for it is wrong to thus encourage them while they teach error that is a deadly poison to the soul and teach for doctrines the commandments of men. The influence of such gatherings is not good. If God has delivered us from such darkness and error, we should stand fast in the liberty wherewith He has set us free [BEGIN P.125] and rejoice in the truth. God is displeased with us when we go to listen to error, without being obliged to go; for unless He sends us to those meetings where error is forced home to the people by the power of the will, He will not keep us. The angels cease their watchful care over us, and we are left to the buffetings of the enemy, to be darkened and weakened by him and the power of his evil angels; and the light around us becomes contaminated with the darkness. {EW 124.3}
I saw that we have no time to throw away in listening to fables. Our minds should not be thus diverted, but should be occupied with the present truth, and seeking wisdom that we may obtain a more thorough knowledge of our position, that with meekness we may be able to give a reason of our hope from the Scriptures. While false doctrines and dangerous errors are pressed upon the mind, it cannot be dwelling upon the truth which is to fit and prepare the house of Israel to stand in the day of the Lord. {EW 125.1}
That is the problem with going outside of your faith to find stories, examples and content to show the world what we believe and why.
Jared, God has given you many gifts and he wants you to use them in the right way for His glory. Remember, it’s not about you, it’s not about me. It’s about God and what He wants us to do for him and his glory.

Wow! Based on the majority of self-righteous feedback I have read on here it makes me ashamed to be a 7th-day Adventist. T.D Jakes is a creation of God just like the rest of us. Yes, his theological persuasions are different but has anyone bothered to get the facts about what exactly he was asked to share at Oakwood? Or is this post pretty much a knee-jerk reaction to the video clip and the comments from others?

Thank you Lawrence, Luis and Rafael for your Christ centered attitudes as reflected in your comments.

Being raised in the church I have, unfortunately, seen over the years far too much of “we have the full truth and no one else” attitudes. It’s little wonder why some of my Methodist, Presbyterian, Baptist & Catholic friends (yes – I have friends outside of the Adventist church) have had disappointing encounters with some Adventists. And they are the experiences they remember the most!

I can’t help but wonder: what would the ‘talk’ be if T.D. Jakes converts to Adventism? What would the condeming voices on this site say to that? Would they change their tune or perhaps begin questioning his authenticity?

Who in the world is Ellen G white as a historian, when a Christian is in search for convincible evidence why do people push assumptions and misstatements that make Christians appear to be groping for the lime light. Just be honest. How can Ellen White make a statement like she is infallible? Who DOES THAT? I believe in the Bible as the true word of GOD, even a prophet in the Bible never said he/she was infallible.
I did appreciate the guy name Alan information, it was in sync of the History I have research. So many of the ancient historians inflated the kings they wrote about to make them look greater than they were, making the facts fragmented and ambiguous. Plus I believe the pagan historian disliked the Jewish civilization like all the other competing races and had to discredit any ground of victory or fame.

Sunday law is implemented, it means the second coming of Jesus is near. The man by force has taken over by force the devine authority from God to change the Sabbath day to Sunday without God’s endorsement. Since Jesus the son of God has been sent to this world to save the human being from sin and to pay cash by his blood, and he declared clearly His first coming and crucified were not the sign of nailing the Sabbath in the cross, and all humanbeing will worship him in his resurrection day. He never changed that. Therefore for those who change any of the Ten commendment will be defined as Anti Christ.Brotheren around the world let us worship God as stated in His commanement which Sabbath.

They have a regard for the truth, they have advocated the truth, they are attracted to those who believe the truth; but they have not yielded themselves to the Holy Spirit’s working. They have not fallen upon the Rock, Christ Jesus, and permitted their old nature to be broken up. This class are represented also by the stony-ground hearers. They receive the word with readiness, but they fail of assimilating its principles. Its influence is not abiding. The Spirit works upon man’s heart, according to his desire and consent implanting in him a new nature; but the class represented by the foolish virgins have been content with a superficial work. They do not know God. They have not studied His character; they have not held communion with Him; therefore they do not know how to trust, how to look and live. Their service to God degenerates into a form. “They come unto thee as the people cometh, and they sit before thee as My people, and they hear thy words, but they will not do them; for with their mouth they show much love, but their heart goeth after their covetousness.” Ezekiel 33:31. The apostle Paul points out that this will be the special characteristic of those who live just before Christ’s second coming. He says, “In the last days perilous times shall come: for men shall be lovers of their own selves; . . . lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God; having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof.” 2 Timothy 3:1-5. {COL 411.1}

I’m actually thankful for reading this message’s content. Someone just sent me an SMS early this morning with regards to the implementation of Sunday Law at United States, She said it’s on the news in CNN. I’m having problem at the moment. We always do our serenade early Saturday morning to those Adventist Church members who weren’t attending and non-active at the moment. Then i go to church every Saturday morning but I have this afternoon work every Saturday so that’s why i can’t attend our Adventist Youth Program in the afternoon. I just can’t help thinking of resigning. Our pastor just mentioned a sermon, He said ” You can’t serve TWO Gods. You have to decide whom will you serve for.” I’m actually in distress at the moment. I can’t just basically ask my employer about this matter. What do you think and suggest? I always remember what a friend of mine told me before. She said how will i know if i have made the right decision? She told me that Jesus said, it’s when i picked the harder choice yet my heart is at peace. God Bless to everyone. Let’s pray always. God will provide. Let’s not be afraid for the coming Persecution.

Will someone kindly explain to me what did the Seventh Day Adventist Church do to warrant this kind of designation and be awarded this kind of “remnant status”, as opposed to other members of the Body of Christ, who have been everybit as faithful and dedicated to being a witness in this world? (And I need MORE than them just “showing up” after 1798). Was it Sabbathkeeping? Well what about OUR represetatives, the Seventh Day Baptists? Was it not one of their members who informed the original Adventist pioneers of the sanctity of the Fourth Commandment? And as far as Ellen White is concerned, how has the rest of the Body of Christ managed to have ministered so effectively and efficently in this world without her or her “gift”? Is she the “infallible interpreter” of the Bible for you as an Adventist? If she is, then we call that a “Pope”, just like the Catholics have! Adventists are welcome to whatever kind of label they wish to put on themselves, but you can’t have it both ways. Either you are IN the Body of Christ, (THE Church), and therefore, MEMBERS of that Body, (I Corinthians 12:12-27, Ephesians 1:22-23, 4:15-16, Colossians 1:18, 24-28), or you are the “Remnant”, and NOT! Adventists are NOT one step above, or any step closer to the Kingdom because of their self-anointed distinctions. (Interesting how no one else can interpret Revelation 12:17 to say SDA’s…not even other Sabbathkeepers, which is remarkable). To teach otherwise, is to espouse “sectarian theology.”

in my own opinion sunday law imposition doesnt strengthen the truth about god’s existence. for me bible is just a book, not holy but been labeled holy by those religious leaders with a strategic plan on how to pursuade innocent minds to believe in such things which hardly cant be proven. things that has happened was done in purpose in which innocents minds thought of it as a prediction comes to reality. for me all of this things that has happened has always been about proving god’s existence is true- since sunday law has been indirectly tackled in the bible and now it has happened then people would strongly believe that something supernatural exist coz the one predicted is happening already. for me sunday law will be happening because thats the plan by the people behind in making this so called HOLY bible. so sunday law will of course cause a great war coz thats taking the liberty of people in choosing what to believe in but there wont be end of the world coz no such thing as god

Well I for one am shocked and blown away. Only true conviction can lead
someone to do this.Everything that the bible said is coming true,but yet people are not heeding the warning. I keep telling people everyday to exit the 401k market because it is not worth, and can all be lost in one minute. Unfortunately people are not listening, and what needs to be understood is that Europe is on the brink of a collapse. When that happens people will weep because they will then realize that they have lost everything. We have to pray and study the word of God for direction in our financial decisions. The wickedness and evil is only going to get
worse and worse.

This is serious bible prophecy is fullfilling rapidly. God’s servant to the remant said in 9T that the final movements will be rapid ones. They are indeed rapid. This story peaks of what the Lord is doing by waking up men and woman to what is taking place. When the NSL breaks the world would have a chance to embrace the 3 angels messages of Rev 14:6-12. But we from the SDA church dont have then our time to get ready is now. Brethen lets humble our hearts by God’s grace and seek the Lord while he may be found.
