May the new year bring us all closer to the day when pain, sickness and sadness are no more. Someone sent in the below article, and it is quite fascinating to learn some history that many are unaware of.

Ever wonder why the world celebrates new years eve/day on January 1st? Well, do a little research and you will find that as do so many things they are rooted in Sun worship and in this case the Roman God Janus from who’s name we get January. The sun, as you may know, is a star. Notice how the ‘star,’ the New Year’s ball, is seen coming down to christen a new year. This is in direct connection (celebration) to Lucifer as mentioned in Isaiah 14:12, “How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations!” and in Luke 10:18, “And he said unto them, I beheld Satan as lightning fall from heaven.” As you read on you will see that the papacy had its hand in this one and although Daniel 7:25 is applied to changing the commandments

and the calendar this one fits into the later. ”And he shall speak great words against the most High, and shall wear out the saints of the most High, and think to change times and laws: and they shall be given into his hand until a time and times and the dividing of time.” Daniel 7:25. Just food for thought….

In 46 B.C. the Roman emperor Julius Caesar first established January 1 as New Year’s day. Janus was the Roman god of doors and gates, and had two faces, one looking forward and one back. Caesar felt that the month named after this god (“January”) would be the appropriate “door” to the year. Caesar celebrated the first January 1 New Year by ordering the violent routing of revolutionary Jewish forces in the Galilee. Eyewitnesses say blood flowed in the streets. In later years, Roman pagans observed the New Year by engaging in drunken orgies—a ritual they believed constituted a personal re-enacting of the chaotic world that existed before the cosmos was ordered by the gods.

As Christianity spread, pagan holidays were either incorporated into the Christian calendar or abandoned altogether. By the early medieval period most of Christian Europe regarded Annunciation Day (March 25) as the beginning of the year. (According to Catholic tradition, Annunciation Day commemorates the angel Gabriel’s announcement to Mary that she would be impregnated by G-d and conceive a son to be called Jesus.)

After William the Conqueror (AKA “William the Bastard” and “William of Normandy”) became King of England on December 25, 1066, he decreed that the English return to the date established by the Roman pagans, January 1. This move ensured that the commemoration of Jesus’ birthday (December 25) would align with William’s coronation, and the commemoration of Jesus’ circumcision (January 1) would start the new year – thus rooting the English and Christian calendars and his own Coronation). William’s innovation was eventually rejected, and England rejoined the rest of the Christian world and returned to celebrating New Years Day on March 25.

About five hundred years later, in 1582, Pope Gregory XIII (AKA “Ugo Boncompagni”, 1502-1585) abandoned the traditional Julian calendar. By the Julian reckoning, the solar year comprised 365.25 days, and the intercalation of a “leap day” every four years was intended to maintain correspondence between the calendar and the seasons. Really, however there was a slight inaccuracy in the Julian measurement (the solar year is actually 365 days, 5 hours, 48 minutes and 46 seconds = 365.2422 days). This slight inaccuracy caused the Julian calendar to slip behind the seasons about one day per century. Although this regression had amounted to 14 days by Pope Gregory’s time, he based his reform on restoration of the vernal equinox, then falling on March 11, to the date had 1,257 years earlier when Council of Nicaea was convened (March 21, 325 A.D.). Pope Gregory made the correction by advancing the calendar 10 days. The change was made the day after October 4, 1582, and that following day was established as October 15, 1582. The Gregorian calendar differs from the Julian in three ways: (1) No century year is a leap year unless it is exactly divisible by 400 (e.g., 1600, 2000, etc.); (2) Years divisible by 4000 are common (not leap) years; and (3) once again the New Year would begin with the date set by the early pagans, the first day of the month of Janus – January 1.

On New Years Day 1577 Pope Gregory XIII decreed that all Roman Jews, under pain of death, must listen attentively to the compulsory Catholic conversion sermon given in Roman synagogues after Friday night services. On New Years Day 1578 Gregory signed into law a tax forcing Jews to pay for the support of a “House of Conversion” to convert Jews to Christianity. On New Years 1581 Gregory ordered his troops to confiscate all sacred literature from the Roman Jewish community. Thousands of Jews were murdered in the campaign.

Throughout the medieval and post-medieval periods, January 1 – supposedly the day on which Jesus’ circumcision initiated the reign of Christianity and the death of Judaism – was reserved for anti-Jewish activities: synagogue and book burnings, public tortures, and simple murder.

The Israeli term for New Year’s night celebrations, “Sylvester,” was the name of the “Saint” and Roman Pope who reigned during the Council of Nicaea (325 A.D..). The year before the Council of Nicaea convened, Sylvester convinced Constantine to prohibit Jews from living in Jerusalem. At the Council of Nicaea, Sylvester arranged for the passage of a host of viciously anti-Semitic legislation. All Catholic “Saints” are awarded a day on which Christians celebrate and pay tribute to that Saint’s memory. December 31 is Saint Sylvester Day – hence celebrations on the night of December 31 are dedicated to Sylvester’s memory.

The story goes that Jesus came to the earth around 2000 years ago and set up a movement known today as the Christian Church. Since it’s inception it has been steeped

in controversy. In fact, during the period known as the ‘dark ages’ Christians proudly murdered Muslims (Mohammedans) and also these same ‘Christians’ murdered over 50 million other ‘Christians’ because of their variance in beliefs.

The Universal church also known as the Catholic Church has made some statements in the past year that have alarmed many who are students of history and in particular those who enjoy studying Bible Prophecy. So in light of this history shows us the persecution that millions endured when they desired to believe something different than what the church declared to be true even if in contradiction with Sacred Scripture.d become anti-christ or in other words were putting themselves in the place of Christ or God. This was further believed with titles the popes have carried like ‘Vicar of Christ’ and that priests claimed to forgive peoples sins most typically for money even though the Bible declared that only God can forgive sin. Since the late 1800′s many students of prophecy have believed like many of the Protestant Reformers that one day the church of Rome would try to regain the universal influence that it once had and would seek to use force to coerce the whole world to believe like they taught or perish.

Bible prophecy states that at the end of earths history, the church of Rome would seek to force people to align with her religious teachings and would even use economic

The social doctrine, as taught by the Blessed Pope John Paul II, is an integral part of the evangelising mission of the Church (cf. Enc. Centesimus Annus, 54), and all the more reason it should be considered important for the new evangelization (cf. ibid., 5 , Enc. Caritas in Veritate, 15). Accepting Jesus Christ and his Gospel, as well as in personal life, even in social relationships, we become bearers of a vision of man, of his dignity, his freedom and relationality, which is marked by transcendence, both horizontally and vertically . Integral anthropology, which is derived from Revelation and the exercise of natural reason, depend on the foundation and meaning of human rights and duties, as we were reminded Blessed John XXIII in Pacem in Terris own (cf. n. 9). The rights and duties, in fact, they did not as the sole basis for the social conscience of the people, but primarily depend on the natural moral law inscribed by God in the conscience of every person, and thus ultimately the truth about man and society .

The moral order, that is, as required by the public authority in civil society the implementation of the common good, therefore also demands that the authority for this purpose is efficient “(n. 71).

The Church certainly does not have the task of suggesting, in terms of legal and political, of the material embodiment of such an international order, but offers to those who are responsible for these principles for reflection, criteria for judgment and practical guidelines that can ensure the ‘anthropological and ethical framework around the common good (cf. Enc. Caritas in Veritate, 67). On reflection, however, is to keep in mind that you should not imagine a superpower, concentrated in the hands of a few, which dominates over all peoples, taking advantage of the weak, but that all authority must be understood first of all as a moral force, faculty to influence the second reason (cf. Pacem in Terris, 27), ie as an authority owned, limited expertise and the right.

I thank the Pontifical Council for Justice and Peace, because, together with other pontifical institutions, has set out to investigate the guidelines that I offered in Caritas in Veritate. We don’t have to guess what would happen if the church of Rome were to be a strong moral influencer on the governments of the world, we have the dark ages to see that. Anyone seeking to retain freedom of conscience and freedom of speech will be very disappointed and will become obsolete. The reality is that a moral force means that someone will help enforce morals and so we must ask which morals? Is this the morals of Islam? No! Buddhism? No Sola Scriptura or only from the Bible? Not based on history.

Global Warning: The Fall of the Republic

In 3 days, America will decide it’s next leader. Millions will go to the polls and cast their vote for who they believe has better principles to run and oversee the greatest country on earth.

I would like to share with you a true story of two friends.

Mike and Luke grew up around each other. One was an inventor and the other into music. Their families grew up as neighbors. In their town everyone really seemed to know each other. These guys became very influential with their local communities.

Though they grew up around each other, were best of friends, hung out with all the same people, ate together, and worked together they realized that one day had come when they began to see things very differently.

I think we all personally have understood the truth of Amos 3:3 at one time or another. “Can two walk together except they be agreed?

These men saw that they desired different things. They envisioned that the lives of their community should be different as well. And thus they did what any two men who differ on the direction in which their community should go and they found themselves on different sides of the political spectrum.

One stood for peace the other for war. One believed in free enterprise, in capitalism and in entrepreneurs, and the other in redistribution of wealth and confederating the citizens into strong unions. One believed if you don’t work you don’t eat. The other in assisting those with financial support who stated that they were not able to work.

One stood for the virtues of a republic, the other

stood for principles of a democracy. One stood for education the other for replication. One for rural development the other for urban planning. One was for saving the environment the other for global development.

One lifted up the old principles of the Constitution and the other espoused liberty and giving more power to each of the citizens of the community and for eradicating any elements of slavery.

As we all know from watching the last few months of political campaigning we know how busy candidates can be. We also know how at times the truth is that we often don’t know who is really telling the truth.

We watch the candidates interact but our emotions at times are for this candidate at other times for the other.

Well this community that these two friends campaigned in witnessed things they had never seen before in those two friends. In fact it got so intense that other communities in the area began to take notice.

I guess many of us can relate with this story. Much of the world is anticipating who will be our next president. Many believe the future of the world hinges on this election.

There are some things I need to tell you about Mike and Luke. They too were campaigning to be president. In fact Mike was seeking reelection. And his vice president Luke had decided to run against him. In early election polls the majority of the community supported Luke.

But as Mike had opportunity to make a number of last-minute campaign stops the polls began to change. Mike shared how what the two had done together had been successful, no crime was done under their leadership. The economy had never been better. The health care system had never been better. More people were educated than ever before. More people had jobs than ever before.

But suddenly just before the election day arrived it was discovered that there was concern of voter fraud and the folks all around the country were in confusion. Who could be trusted? Both of these candidates had strong and valid platforms upon which they were running.

It was determined that it was impossible to have a fair election in this community because so many lies and supposed fraud had taken place.

And so it was decided that the campaign and elections would be taken to a location completely unbiased to the events that had taken place.

Now it is interesting to note that it was discovered that Luke was guilty of messing with, bribing and even manipulating citizens to vote for him. But in light of the existing Constitution that Mike was campaigning to keep enforced the elections were postponed rather than called off.

The reason being was because the state was governed by constitutional law that was the secret of the freedom of each citizen. This also included the most important element of her republic form of government

A Republic is governed by a constitution and protects the minority. A democracy for which Luke had as his number one point of platform allow the majority to make decisions for the entire population and thus would not protect the interests of any minority.

Now I need to tell you something else. It was agreed upon by both parties that all votes cast in this coming election would be final. There would be no recount, no voter fraud accusations, and it was determined that both could use as many signs as desired anywhere in this community to get peoples attention. Any advertising, any media.

Leading up to election day all the media seemed to be helping Luke. In fact no one heard really anything from Mike.

Just before the election, there was a storm, a super storm and all the news could focus on was global warning.

Revelation 12:7 tells us that the Greek words used for WAR and FOUGHT in this verse are POLEMOS AND POLEMEO -where we get our modern-day word POLITICS from

The Scriptures tell us in Isaiah 24:5 and Psalm 119:126 that the day is coming when the law of God will be made void by the laws of global governments.

The Bible further explains this in Revelation chapter 14:9.

We don’t have time to go into all of the elements to prove each of these points this morning but I have material that I can give you to help build the case if you will talk to me after.

We are told in Bible prophecy that the time is coming when all of humanity will be forced with a decision to make.

We are told that the decision will be between the laws of the global governments versus the law of God.

Prophecy foretells that if we do not support the laws of the global governments we will not be able to buy or sell. Many wonder how this could take place in the world today. The reality is we already have the systems in place to enforce someone’s ability to buy or sell.

In the United States in the last 100 years we have enacted something called the Social Security number this allows you to be turned on or turned off. I have a family member recently that had her bank accounts, credit etc frozen because her SS# appeared to be deceased!

We are told in symbolic wordage of prophecy that a beast represents a kingdom and this beast identified here is none other than the kingdom it rained on the earth the longest. This kingdom is identified as the Roman papacy. For over 1000 years this religious system governed the governments of the world. History knows this time as the dark ages.

Through studying Revelation 13 we can determine that the image of this kingdom will be another kingdom that begins to act just like Rome did during the dark ages.

Prophecy even predicts that the second kingdom would arise at the time that the previous kingdom ,the Roman papacy was falling all around the late 1700’s according to prophecy. The papacy fell in 1798, what nation arose around this time? It is clear in Revelation 13 and in history that this is the rise of the United States who prophecy says will become the home of the Image of the Beast.

Today no one will question that the United States is the most powerful government in the world. We have the strongest military in the world. And we are told in prophecy that the churches of the United States will one day influence and control the government of this country.

When this event happens, This will be the fulfillment of the image of the beast that we are told about.

You may ask how could this happen in United States of America. Our country was founded on two principles that today are the secrets of our prosperity and power.

These being the separation of church and state or a Protestant Republic. The two great secrets of this country are our right to free speech and a right to freedom of religion.

Our government was founded on a document known as the Constitution. And we today have always seen our country as a constitutional republic.

But prophecy tells us that will not always be the case. This is most clearly described in Revelation chapter 13 and verse 14 we are told that this entity will tell its people that they should make an image to the beast this by default means that the people will be able to make a final decision based on their vote.

This means that the republic for which we have stood will become a democracy. And just so everyone is clear a democracy where the majority rules is often times described as mob rule.

When Protestantism shall stretch her hand across the gulf to grasp the hand of the Roman power, when she shall reach over the abyss to clasp hands with spiritualism, when, under the influence of this threefold union, our country shall repudiate every principle of its Constitution as a Protestant and republican government and shall make provision for the propagation of papal falsehoods and delusions, then we may know that the time has come for the marvelous working of Satan and that the end is near.—Testimonies for the Church 5:451 (1885). – {LDE 131.4} – Last Day Events 131

*Since the judgment of 9/11 everything has changed. In the Bible the gates of a city or nation were where trade and immigration took place. New York City is known as the Gate of America. 9/11 and Sandy were judgments or warnings via an attack at the gates!

*Under Republicans and Bush and Democrats and Obama, our constitution is eroding.

It is interesting to note that based on what we know about the war in heaven for the politics in heaven the government of heaven is based on a constitutional monarchy this is very similar to a constitutional republic but in heaven we understand that the King never died therefore would not need to be re-voted in. However as we have seen in our story it was decided that an election would be the safest way to ensure the freedom of the universe.

Like me you may wonder what will cause this change in the United States? We are told that it will be through a few key elements.

The first and I believe foremost will be calamities. We are going to see calamities increase to a scale that is unprecedented. Sandy is estimated to have caused $50 Billion in damages and a CNN Money report that 33 trillion dollars in stock certificates were potentially damaged.

It is in a crisis that character is revealed……So now, a sudden and unlooked-for calamity, something that brings the soul face to face with death, will show whether there is any real faith in the promises of God. It will show whether the soul is sustained by grace. The great final test comes at the close of human probation…. – {Christ’s Object Lessons 412)

The Bible validates this statement in Isaiah 26:9

… for when thy judgments are in the earth, the inhabitants of the world will learn righteousness. Isaiah 26:9

These calamities will lead to economic collapse. This will be followed by preaching by two different sides to declare who is responsible for these judgments or calamities taking place. Is it because men are violating man’s laws or God’s Law?

Satan works through the elements also to garner his harvest of unprepared souls. He has studied the secrets of the laboratories of nature, and he uses all his power to control the elements as far as God allows. When he was suffered to afflict Job, how quickly flocks and herds, servants, houses, children, were swept away, one trouble succeeding another as in a moment. It is God that shields his creatures, and hedges them in from the power of the destroyer. But the Christian world have shown contempt for the law of Jehovah; and the Lord will do just what he has declared that he would, he will withdraw his blessings from the earth, and remove his protecting care from those who are rebelling against his law, and teaching and forcing

others to do the same. Satan has control of all whom God does not especially guard. He will favor and prosper some, in order to further his own designs, and he will bring trouble upon others, and lead men to believe that it is God who is afflicting them. – {Great Controversy written in 1888 page 589}

While appearing to the children of men as a great physician who can heal all their maladies, he will bring disease and disaster, until populous cities are reduced to ruin and desolation. Even now he is at work. In accidents and calamities by sea and by land, in great conflagrations, in fierce tornadoes and terrific hail-storms, in tempests, floods, cyclones, tidal waves, and earthquakes, in every place and in a thousand forms, Satan is exercising his power. He sweeps away the ripening harvest, and famine and distress follow. He imparts to the air a deadly taint, and thousands perish by the pestilence. These visitations are to become more and more frequent and disastrous. Destruction will be upon both man and beast. “The earth mourneth and fadeth away,” “the haughty people … do languish. The earth also is defiled under the inhabitants thereof; because they have transgressed the laws, changed the ordinance, broken the everlasting covenant.” [Isaiah 24:4, 5.] – {GC88 589.3} – GC88 589.2-3

In Revelation 13 and verse three we are told the outcome of the election between Christ and Satan or Michael and Lucifer our story we have described as Mike and Luke.

We are told in Revelation 13:3 that all the world wondered after the beast. There’ will only be a small minority of people that survive this coming term of Lucifer’s kingdom. The Bible describes that he will institute the principles of mob rule or democracy all over the world which never will nor have protected any minority.

He will begin to set up his party or kingdom here on this earth. The universe and the earth will for a short time will experience Lucifer’s first term in office. The Bible is clear that Satan is coming to personate Christ. That he is bringing fellow divine beings to visit the earth with him. We are told this in 1 Corinthians 11:14 -

“And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light.”

The reality is that we are told that he will stop at nothing to destroy any that oppose him. A democracy will quickly be turned into a dictatorship through his leading men in governments around the world. He will start a war that will end up destroying the earth and all who live here. A 1000 years of peace will not be had on this earth but in heaven.

Our vote on election day will determine our destiny. All who vote for Mike/Michael/Christ will be rescued seconds before Lucifer destroys the planet and all humanity.

It is our duty seconds before this election to let everyone know about this global warning in Revelation 14. That all the world is going to have to choose between worshipping God and worshipping Lucifer. Between honoring Lucifer on the first day of the week or honoring God on the 7th day Sabbath, instituted as a memorial at Creation.

The climax of this war is described in Revelation chapter 19 and verses 19 through 21.

The rescue is described in Revelation chapter 22 and verse 12.

Taking Risks and Learning Faith

I was sitting in prayer meeting a couple weeks ago and we were studying the call of the first disciples in Luke 5. I felt like I knew all about this story and so I asked the Lord to show me something I’d never seen before…

Jesus was thronged by so many people on the shore that he stepped into Peter’s boat and asked him to cast out from the shore so he could teach the people from the boat. So Peter obliges, Jesus sits down as was customary for teachers of that time, and teaches the people. When He was finished, He told Peter to launch out into the deep and cast their nets into the water. Peter explains to Jesus that they had fished all night and caught nothing. What Peter knows is that the best time to fish is at night because the fish can’t see the nets being cast into the water as they could during the day. Fishing during the day was a waste of time and a hopeless endeavor. But Peter reluctantly agrees to do what Jesus says. And his faith was rewarded with a net so full of fish that it began to break. So they called over another ship with James and John and filled the boats so full of fish that they began to sink!

I believe there is a business lesson for us in this story. Jesus told Peter to do something that made absolutely no sense. It appeared to be a guaranteed recipe for failure and a waste of time. That’s why Peter and his companions were on the shore. They had given up knowing that you can’t catch fish during the day. But by following Jesus’ instructions, they reaped a great reward. Sometimes we can reason that the message we’ve been called to bear or the methods we’ve been called to use just don’t make sense. It seems like they are a guaranteed failure and they’re going to make us look silly if we follow them. But He who controls the fish of the sea tells us to follow Him, and He will make us fishers of men. I wonder what Peter thought looking at his nets bursting with fish, and trying to compare this catch with winning souls. And then, at the peak of their financial prosperity, Jesus asks Peter and the other three disciples to walk away from it, and follow Him. Peter had a wife, other disciples had people dependent on them for financial support, and again it didn’t make sense to leave everything and follow Jesus.

We need more faith to just do what we’ve been told. God will make Himself responsible for the success of our work if we are obedient to His commands. This is called righteousness by faith.

Lucifer’s Genetically Modified Plan to Make You Sick

How will he do it?
The Hebrew word used for weaken can also be understood as “to overthrow, cause decay, waste away, or weaken.” I think it is safe to say that these are words that can describe being sick or causing one to become sick.
Why would this matter? When we consider that the issue in the war between good and evil is that Lucifer is seeking to win over the worship of the world rather than they choose to worship Christ.
He is going to do this according to the Bible through deception. How will he decieve the whole world? We are told the answer in Revelation 18:23 – “for thy merchants were the great men of the earth; for by thy sorceries were all nations decieved.”
When we look up the Greek word used for sorcery we find the word – far-mak-i’-ah or in other words farmakiah where we get the root for our modern word – Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical.
Could it be that the devil is seekign to use substances to deceive the world into worhsipping him? Jesus was very clear when his disciples asked him to tell them the signs of “the end of the world”. Jesus words in Matthew 24:4 do not begin with events, people or disasters. He begins with “Take heed that no man deceive you.”
I encourage you to watch this film below on the monster that is GMO Food. This is perhaps the greatest attack the devil has ever pulled on mankind. Think about this: If our food is making us sick becuase it is laced with pharmaceutical drugs and then we are getting sick and heading to the doctor to get more pharamaceutical drugs could this be a fulfillment of Revelation 18:23? Keep it Simple – PresentTruth 2.0

You may have noticed some changes on the site or as my wife calls them ‘drastic’ changes. I am working on a few details to make the site more simple to read and quicker to load and a part of that process is simplifying it down. We have people from around the world accessing the site and I have seen what is being watched, listened to, commented on and what is not and can tell you that I am going to focus more on those things that people are actually reading/watching/discussing.

I am working on getting our search functionality, links etc on the bottom of the page. Also, I intend to position all of the articles going forward in a way that anyone from any background can understand the context and enjoy. Topics will include Health, Religion, Spirituality, Gardening, Sex, Money, Relationships, Foreign Policy and more. The Bible has much to say about all of these and I am looking forward to sharing as well as having others write as well.

If you have some ideas on what you would like to see or what topics should be covered let me know. It will still be cutting edge and full of Present Truth.

And the best part is that the site is now fully responsive on any device. That basically means it will resize for any device and show up in an easy to read format. This is especially nice for mobile devices.

Work Ethic – I sat next to Jessica Alba and she has it, do you?

About a week ago I thought I could easily answer yes to that question. That was until this past Friday at a conference in Los Angeles. I had gone to learn more about branding and package design and found myself amongst the lead designers at Amazon, Pom Wonderful, Mattel, Coca-Cola, Nokia and more. It was really a wonderful experience learning more of the science that truly man does judge something by the exterior appearance just like the Bible states in 1 Samuel 16:7 -”… for God sees not as man sees, for man looks at the outward appearance, but the LORD looks at the heart.”

So the reality is we are superficial in our judgment in the majority of circumstances. As I sat there taking pages and pages of notes I kept thinking back to a time when the world would go to a man of faith like Solomon for wisdom and how it really seems like that has reversed and now the world seems to be going to those who don’t claim faith as their source of wisdom. That was a little disheartening as I believe faith gives people something greater to put their faith and trust in.

The day was going great and then we had a chance for some questions and answers. I had a few that I posed like the role of online video in the coming years and how it will play into the swaying of opinions for product purchasing. It will. I also had someone a few seats down my row ask a most interesting question. I will share that and then the who which makes it all the more interesting.

The question was basically “how much should one use fear or shocking truthful information to sway someone to buy your product”? I thought to myself wow that is a great question. When selling vegan ice cream do you build your marketing campaign on how traditional milk based ice cream is being shown to cause cancer along with other animal products in studies like the China Study? It’s like in the debates going on right now for example, how much time should a candidate spend on the negative qualities of the competition and how much on the benefits of their campaign which will obviously expose the weaknesses of the competition. It is interesting to take that mindset and consider how much time Jesus spent sharing what was true as compared to the faults of of the Pharisees and other religious leaders.

So then the real lesson jumped out at me. The person asking that really great question stood out for two reasons. The first I thought wow that is a beautiful woman. Now, the most beautiful woman in the world is my wife according to me but we all can recognize beauty when we see it so that is why I make a point. Sadly this is more true in a world when many are not taking care for themselves as they should be, but that is an entirely different topic.

Then I said wait a minute, she looks familiar. It was none other than the lovely Jessica Alba. For those who may not know, she is primarily known as a famous actress but less known for her new innovative company – The Honest Company. They sell natural and eco-friendly home goods, baby products etc.

I was taken back because here is a famous actress with plenty of money to do all she wants in life and she has taken the initiative to create a company with a mission and with integrity. Not only that but she could easily have hired someone or a team of folks to attend this conference in her place and give her the details. But she decided it was important enough to come in person and then to ask such a thought provoking question. For her company, I think the question is “how much do I explain to people that much of the baby food, cleaning supplies etc are full of toxins and poisoning the home?” For me I asked myself “Am I that committed to all that I do”? Do I want success so bad that I will personally do all I can to obtain it? Jesus couldn’t claim success by proxy, He had to come in person.

Here’s the question for you. Are you committed to succeeding in life? If you have a business, are you doing all you can do to make it a success. Now add in spiritual values and you have set the bar even higher. I have chewed on this for a few days and realize that I need a deeper commitment to all that I profess to believe and to do. I read recently about two great men in history. The first Jesus, the greatest man who ever lived went weeks working all day and then all night in prayer rejuvenating his soul. I read about Paul in Ephesus. This great international banking center, a New York City type of place, where he worked night and day. I don’t just say that. I learned that many days he would speak and teach all day and then all night long he would make tents for his business so that he could support himself. What sacrifice. Once again, he was worthy of being paid by the church and could have asked others to make the tents but he was invested personally in the success of his life.

I think it’s time we raise the standard and for those who have studied the concept, let’s stop being satisfied as the tail and become the head.

Freedom: The Real Debate

The United States is the last power of prophecy and the one that has been the land of freedom. Freedom being at it’s core the freedom of speech and

freedom of conscience. We know these today as Separation of Church and State. We prize these and this country was founded on these because the world knows the danger of joining them. All we have to do is look to the history of the Roman Catholic Church. Whomever disagreed with her politics or religion was silenced, usually by death. Now I love my Catholic friends and their sincerity and faithful devotion. I just disagree with the historic principles of the leadership of that religious system.

Bible Prophecy in Revelation 13 says that this separation of church and state that we enjoy in the United States will one day end and we will mimic

the Papacy and even work with her to remove freedom of speech and freedom of conscience not just from the United States but eventually from the entire world. (Revelation 13) It is a war over worship. Lucifer the fallen angel has desired to be God since the war (Rev 12:7) that broke out in Heaven.

Jehovah has allowed him 6000 years to put on his best show to the universe to see what it would be like if Lucifer ran the universal government. We will soon see the climax of his coronation when Lucifer arrives on planet earth as an angel of light, whom the world will believe is Jesus Christ himself. The Bible tells of this in 2 Corinthians 11:14 – And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light.

The Bible speaks of the real crux of the matter of how this will be enforced. We are seeing this play out as we speak. I just learned this past week the difference between a Republic and a Democracy. The primary point I want to bring out is that a Republic protects the minority. This is why the Constitution and the Declaration of Independence along with Bill of Rights are so amazing and sacred. America is becoming a democracy ruled by the majority which will end in her demise according to Bible Prophecy.

There are two fundamental issues that will allow a coming superpower to control the citizens of the world.

#1 – Economic Control

The way in which the paper currencies of the world will finally be done away with is through hyperinflation and the destruction of the world economy. Did you know that only 3% of the total U.S dollar supply in the world is in paper currency i.e. non digital.

Revelation 13:17 – And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.

We now know that in order for this to be fulfilled, we would have to see a paper currency replaced by a digital one. Why? Because paper currency cannot be controlled and therefore not enforced.

The United States and the Papacy will be involved in oversight of all global transactions. Did you know that the U.S Dollar is the world’s reserve currency? This could be dwelt on for many pages on why this is important but if you know that Rome and D.C are the two powers of Revelation 13 then you will understand why this is so important.

#2 – Food

Food has been at the center of the war between good and evil since Eve took a bite of that yummy pinacolada fruit on the tree of knowledge of good and evil. We see apetite as a major issue before the flood. We see it played a role for enslaving the Israelites with Joseph and Pharaoh’s 7 fat cow/skinny cow dream. We see it in the wilderness with the Israelites. We see it with Jesus in the wilderness with Lucifer. We see it more than ever today. Half the world is fat and the other half is starving to death. We were told of this in Luke 21:34.

There are some who believe that just before the flood the antediluvians were messing with the gene pool of animals and humans. We are told something interesting from Jesus, in Matthew 24:37 – As it was in the days of Noah, so it will be at the coming of the Son of Man.

We can’t prove all that was taking place before the flood but we can see many signs of what Jesus describes as taking place before his return and imply that much of what we see today was taking place before the flood. As for the gene manipulation, that is basically getting into the role of being a creator which God has given no one, not even Lucifer the ability to do.

Today we are seeing the genetics of humanity toyed with and I believe this may be a turning point beyond which we are not familiar as a species as to what the results will be.

As if that is not enough, the worst evil that may have ever come upon humanity I believe is Genetically Modified Foods. This is in essence mixing the genes of amphibians, humans, etc and mixing them with plan genes. This also includes inserting toxins into the DNA of plants that helps fight off bugs and what I also believe is natural pollination.

My friends, this is a crisis. GMO is the devil’s greatest attack on humanity that I have ever imagined.

Think about it for a second. God could have inserted eternal life in all of us from our creation but He did not. He could have sustained us just like He sustains the sunshine or the moon but instead He chose to lead Adam and Eve to a tree known as a the Treeof Life and told them that as long as they ate the fruit of this tree they would live forever.

We even see that in heaven and the new earth promised in the book of Revelation that eternal life will again be tied to eating the fruit of that very tree.

The devil is no idiot. He also sees the spiritual, emotional and physical impact that appetite and eating has on our species. He hijacked it from the garden of Eden and every point he could along the way.

I believe his last push to destroy and weaken humanity and make us sick and die is the GMO movement. These foods do not feed more, they are not safe. A recent film called “Genetic Roulette” which you need to watch shows clearly that the majority of our allergies, diseases etc in the 21st century are tied to GMO foods and the toxins being inserted into the animal supply. Meat, Milk, Cheese, Eggs etc are no longer safe mostly due to GMO foods being fed to the cows and chickens.

This is where I want to show you why this is the devil’s push. It is not just to destroy and make humanity sick. The real issue is that the world’s food supply is being patented and taken over by multinational corporations that are going to make it so that unless you can buy their seed you cannot eat.

Now let’s consider, if there are measures in place to make it so that I cannot buy or sell unless I am apart of a new economic system where there is no paper currency then this means I would be at the mercy of that system. We are told that this system will inhibit freedom of speech and freedom of conscience. So to all my atheist friends, your right to be an atheist would cease under the guise of religion.

Even worse is that even if you could buy and sell we are seeing the food supply destroyed and taken over. This is why it is so important to understand why we should all be learning how to grow our own fruits and vegetables without the use of all the toxins and especially without the use of GMO seeds.

Freedom in the coming years will equate to your and my ability to grow our own food that still has the gene code to reproduce year after year so that I don’t have to go to the multinational corporations and buy their seed. That my friend is slavery.

The whole issue of not being able to buy or sell really comes down to not being able to buy or sell: FOOD. This is the basic building block of life and we cannot live without it.

You know many are buying up gold in preparation for the next economy after the dollar crashes. Did you know the Bible says that men who do this would throw their gold and silver in the streets because it cannot fill their stomachs. (Ezekiel 7:19)

It is time to think out of the box. Local grown organic food is trendy right now. It fetches a high price at the grocery store. I am sure you know if you buy some on a regular basis. We are seeing an major inflation take place in the organic food sector and we will continue to see it rise until people’s lives revolve around not what the iPhone 7 but where will eat today and how will we afford it.

Don’t be a slave, take your freedom and health of your family back. Grow your own food and retain your freedom. When the day comes when you and I are presented with a choice of who we worship and whether we wish to comply with Lucifer, we will be turned off and no longer be able to buy or sell if we choose to follow Christ. He has given us the secrets to build our modern day Ark for the coming storm. Noah could not have been saved without acting on what God told him to do to prepare for the storm. I believe that unless we act accordingly with what we are seeing take place, we won’t be prepared for this climax of earth’s history.

Oh and by the way, those who do this will live like Kings and Queens on this earth and the one soon to come.

The Bible says a few times the phrase that “as it was in the days of Noah” that it would be very similar to that just before the end of the world. What was it like before the flood?

Does the Bible talk about Aliens and other Planets?

The answer is Yes! and now science is catching up to this fact.

From Job 1, 2 and Hebrews 1:2:

⁶Now there was a day when the sons of God came to present themselves before the Lord, and Satan came also among them.

⁷And the Lord said unto Satan, Whence comest thou? Then Satan answered the Lord, and said, From going to and fro in the earth, and from walking up and down in it.

The Bible here is speaking of an assembly that apparently meets on a regular basis. These ‘sons of God’ are the leaders of many planets. We know there are many planets from the book of Hebrews also, where we are told in 1:2 - ²Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds;

This is Biblical evidence that says that the Christ or Creator was responsible for creating multiple inhabitable worlds in the universe.

Now the reality is that based on the Bible the other life forms most likely look very much like humans and act much more decent than humans contrasting the typical view which says we are the most advanced in the universe and that aliens are evil. The aliens that are often depicted or said to be seen on planet earth are in reality demons. All of the hype in the last century of UFO’s etc is all a setting up of the greatest deception in the history of the universe, the false coming of the Christ which will be Lucifer in reality.

Under the Guise of Religious Freedom

“They simply ask that the government not impose its values and policies on plaintiffs, in direct violation of their religious beliefs,”…

Those are the words coming from Forty-three Catholic dioceses, schools, hospitals, social service agencies and other institutions filed suit in federal court May 21 to stop three government agencies from implementing a mandate that would require them to provide contraceptives and sterilization to their employees.

The argument they are using is that this infringes on their religious freedom. That freedoms in this case is the church teaching of using no contraception/birth control methods.

Now the Bible is all for religious freedom but I wish I could say the church filing suit is. The Bible says we should not sue anyone: Click here for those references.

The issue here is that the Catholic church is famous for one great thing in history: That is their lack of belief in Religious Freedom. They are responsible for killing over 50 million faithful christians during the time in which the church ruled the world from approx 538-1798AD also known as The Dark Ages because they also hid the Bible from the masses.

Do not be deceived, the Bible tells us in Revelation 13 that the day is coming when religious freedom will disappear by the same hand that in this latest lawsuit is arguing for it. The church is tolerant of other beliefs as long as she does not have the power to enforce her beliefs on them. That day is not far away if Bible Prophecy is as true as it always has been.

I believe the day is coming when the statement being used now in this suit (below) will be used as a petition by faithful Sabbath keeping persons around the world. We will see how the tide turns on that day.

#Occupy Reborn – The role of labor unions in prophecy

If you are reading this, I consider you a dear friend that I believe will care about current events in light of Bible Prophecy. I have an urgency to have our hearts and lives in a place where God is our refuge and strength.

I remember the day my dad called while in New York helping an Adventist gentlemen open a vegetarian restaurant last year. He had “stumbled” upon a small group of organizers planning something called “The Occupy Movement”. I have pics and videos on my computer of this small group with a few influential older gentlemen that would not acknowledge their involvement in the movement. My dad found it interesting and was in the midst of the fever pitch of Occupy Wall Street for 2 weeks. He shared with me all his pics which I still have and will cherish.

I say all this to say that as my dad and I discussed these things, we saw in them the fulfillment of prophecy right before our very eyes. My dad told me that day that there was deep pocketed union money behind this thing and the language at the organizing event was that they would take care of the details and funding.

Don’t think for a second this movement will die. Written over 100 years ago, the statements below are chillingly accurate to the warring classes of rich and poor as described as the 1% vs the 99%.

Study, Pray and Share as if we have entered the final months of earth’s history. Yes God may be merciful and hold the winds of strife another 20 years. I pray He continues to be merciful, but the reality is that the climax of the ages is at our doorstep. How will we treat this day differently than any before or after? My dad was working with haste to get all things ready for the crisis.

May God show each of us what to do and how to do it with efficiency and urgency so that the world may see that we like Noah are preparing for the coming storm and that we truly believe this earth is not our home.

The Age of the Earth…a harbinger?

How old is the earth? I mean is it possible that someone could actually get a pretty good guess based on just Scripture?

Was the earth really created out of nothing in 6 literal 24-hour periods like Genesis states? If the earth was not created in 6 literal days then the account of the Seventh-day Sabbath is also an allegory. If this is the case, then the 10 commandments (law of God) are an allegory and therefore there is no law that governs the universe. I don’t know about you but that does not sit well with me and leads to anarchy.

This teaching is perhaps one of the reasons for many not adhering to the original commandments of God and the Sabbath commandment. In the context of the great controversy between good and evil that states that the entire war of good vs evil or Christ vs Satan began over the issue of the law. For more on that see two great chapters in Scripture: Isaiah 14 and Ezekiel 28. It would make sense then, that here at the close of earth’s history, the devil would make an attack on the account of Creation and the 7-day literal week.

According to the adding up of the biblical records of the lifespan of those from the beginning i.e. Adam to the time of Christ we come to approx. 4000 years. Ussher’s chronology puts it at 4004 B.C as the Creation of the earth.

In 2012, we are believed to be approximately 2000 years since the life, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. There are varying arguments as to why we have our dating system as we do today, but it is compelling that we do date time from time of the Man Christ Jesus a.k.a the Messiah according to the historical record.

Does it matter what we believe as to how old the earth is? Yes absolutely.

If we believe the earth is older than 6000 years then we have to disregard the Bible and the Sabbath and the Law of God. If we do that, then of course we cannot trust the Bible. The Bible has some interesting statements in regard to the number 7 and more specifically the ‘Seventh’. There is more to this article than just reaffirming the age of the earth. My quest and research on this topic led me to believe that the “earth experiment with sin” is a 6000 year experiment that will end at or near the end of this 6000 years. I propose that the 1000 years that the Bible speaks of that the saints will be in heaven is a “Sabbath” or rest for the earth.

Seventh- day:

The first reference we have is in Genesis 2:2,3 where God rested on the seventh day of creation and it says he made it a holy day or as some refer to Jewish tradition that calls it “The Birthday of the World.” This is the first reference to ‘Seventh’ as a time of rest.

Exodus 16:26- The Manna fell in the wilderness for the children of Israel to eat but the seventh day there was nothing on the ground.

Exodus 21:2- Servants: A Hebrew servant was to serve for 6 years and in the seventh to be set free.

Exodus 23:11- In the seventh year of the harvest, a land owner was not to sow or reap the fields. The land was to rest and the poor were allowed to gather in food.

Leviticus 16:29- The Day of Atonement

In the seventh month, was to be a special day once per year to do no work and to be a day of repentance where all sin would be removed. A Symbolic day of the day far in the future where God would remove our sins forever…

The Bible says that the land would rest for 70 years during the time that Israel was taken captive to Babylon according to Jeremiah the Prophet. This is believed to be because the Sabbath had been desecrated for many years and had not been respected and getting it’s ‘rest’ agriculturally every seventh year.

The Bible says in Revelation 20:1-3 that the earth will be desolate for 1000 years and that only Satan and his angels will be on the earth.

There are some great studies by J.N. Andrews about the age of the earth also called the “Great week of Time.”

If the earth is 6000 years old as it presents itself to be, then based on the principles of Rest according to the seventh-day weekly Sabbath and the seventh-year every seven years that the land was to rest then perhaps, just perhaps, the bible has foreshadowed the necessity of the 1000 years in heaven to give the entire earth a rest after 6000 years of existence without honoring the Sabbath. Adventists Believe What?

I had the pleasure of attending a bible study tonight at a local Seventh-day Adventist church. One of the most interesting questions was raised and it sent my head into a tailspin. I wanted to share it with you and see if any Adventists and/or those outside of the Adventist faith had any thoughts on this question.

Seventh-day Adventists appear to have a very unique belief in regards to the end of time aka “the end of the world”. They are a movement that arose out of the Millerite movement in the middle of the 1800′s. The Millerite’s believed the imminent, visible Second Coming of Christ would take place in 1844 at the end of the 2300 day prophecy of Daniel 8:14. Jesus as we know did not return and out of that “Great Disappointment” , a small group from the various faiths of Christendom joined together and began what today the world calls the Seventh-day Adventists. Today Seventh-day Adventists operate the largest Protestant health care system and education systems in the world. The second largest behind the Catholic Hospital and Education systems in total number.

The very unique beliefs of Adventism range from the belief that at death the body sleeps and awaits the judgment that they believe is currently taking place managed by Jesus Christ from a Sanctuary in Heaven. At the second coming, they believe Christ will resurrect those bodies of the ones that were faithful to him. They actually believe that one’s decisions will effect their eternal life, which some consider salvation by works. They believe strongly in the law of God and the role of faith and works. They see that the Sabbath of the 4th commandment never changed and therefore keep it holy.

Where it gets really interesting is there belief in bible prophecy. They believe that at the end of earth’s history, a crisis will arise over the issue of worship. According to them, Revelation 13 depicts the Papacy and the United States. They believe that the whole world will one day come back under the power of the Roman empire and specifically the unique mark that the Papacy has made in history: changing the day of worship from Saturday the seventh-day to Sunday the first day. To learn more on this idea, they refer to Constantine changing the day of worship to suit his pagan beliefs. Many Seventh-day Adventists even refer to this event as the National Sunday Law that will take place first in America and then internationally in the rest of the world.

They believe that when the Bible says in Revelation 13 verse 17, “And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name”, that it means that the whole world will have to decide to follow the laws of man and worship on the first day of the week in order to continue to function in the global economy and continue to buy or sell. If one decides that they wish to follow the Biblical Sabbath, then they will be forced to not buy or sell and eventually perhaps even face death.

Let me repeat that for clarity and summary: Seventh-day Adventists believe that if you want to be saved eternally at the end of earth’s history then you have a choice to make that will decide your fate. They believe that when this law becomes forced and international you will given the ultimatum:

1. To obey the Biblical Sabbath and not buy and sell and be saved eternally based on this choice or

2. Honor sunday willingly or coerced into it and be authorized to buy and sell and be lost forever

The implications of this bold belief are very grand in scope. The one question that I must ask is this: If Seventh-day Adventists believe this, then that would mean that they are actively preparing to get into a situation where they will be prepared to not buy or sell right? Is it like a Noah’s ark situation perhaps? Noah prepared a boat to ride out the storm. Is there some boat or parallel they make with this ‘coming crisis’.

So here was the question raised at this study: Seventh-day Adventists must be buying land and growing their own food and cutting their ties with society and the world if they really believe this event of Revelation 13 is going to really happen right? Or perhaps they know prophetically exactly when it will take place and perhaps that is the reason they are not preparing as if it were imminent? If that is the case then why do they preach that message of Revelation 13 in all of their international evangelism events? What is the answer to these questions, so that if any of these ideas are true it may be revealed to those of us that do not know?

I am curious if you know a Seventh-day Adventist or perhaps you might be one reading this article. What are your thoughts? Perhaps this is not a fair assessment of the beliefs of the church. Please comment.

This does not mean that one cannot become an entrepreneur or be involved with some business with private capital. It does mean that speculation is a mine field of uncertainty, especially in 2011.

The following is an amazing testimony of one firm that has closed it’s doors and why. The Bible and the last commentary from ‘The Testimony of Jesus’ describe an economic breakdown and collapse before the coming of the Lord. Is this it? I don’t know. Could it be? Yes.

Editor’s Note: You will rarely, if ever again, see a brokerage firm close their doors not as a result of losing all of their customers’ money, but rather, preemptively in order to prevent them from being wiped out. That’s exactly what Ann Barnhardt of Barnhardt Capital Management did Thursday morning when she advised clients that her firm was liquidating all customer brokerage and options accounts. In a series of letterspublished on her web site, disseminated by Zero Hedge, and brought to us by The Daily Crux, Ms. Barnhardt takes the unprecedented step of shutting down her firm in order to prevent losses in what she says is a system that “is no longer functioning with integrity and is suicidally risk-laden.”

The reasons for her taking the steps she did to save client investments are, in our opinion, nothing short of heroic (prompting even Rush Limbaugh to give her kudos) given recent developments in the global economic crisis that include the collapse of government primary dealer MF Global and the untennable situation in Europe. While most Wall Street tycoons and brokers continue to manage money in a highly leveraged marketplace on the verge of collapse while talking their books on financial news shows in an effort to instill confidence in their customers who are swallowing the hopium hook, line and sinker, Barnhardt will have none of it and chose, instead, to pull the plug and get her customers out.

This is an absolute must read warning for all American investors. Though Barnhardt’s firm dealt primarily in futures and options trading, she cautions that ALL markets have been infected with systemic contagion, including the underlying cash commodities – known in layman’s terms as the physical delivery of goods. With the recent collapse of MF Global, the details of which suggest direct fraud and theft of customer accounts, and the government’s lack of any serious response, Barnhardt seems to think there is a real possibility of cascading, system-wide failures in the broader financial sector.

Look out folks, because if she is right then we’re in serious trouble – and soon. The takeaway is, if you’re not sure what is happening in the markets then get out and get your money to safety, otherwise it will soon be added to the asset pool of the organizations complicit in orchestrating the destruction of our financial markets and economic system.

Dear Clients, Industry Colleagues and Friends of Barnhardt Capital Management,

It is with regret and unflinching moral certainty that I announce that Barnhardt Capital Management has ceased operations. After six years of operating as an independent introducing brokerage, and eight years of employment as a broker before that, I found myself, this morning, for the first time since I was 20 years old, watching the futures and options markets open not as a participant, but as a mere spectator.

The reason for my decision to pull the plug was excruciatingly simple: I could no longer tell my clients that their monies and positions were safe in the futures and options markets – because they are not. And this goes not just for my clients, but for every futures and options account in the United States. The entire system has been utterly destroyed by the MF Global collapse. Given this sad reality, I could not in good conscience take one more step as a commodity broker, soliciting trades that I knew were unsafe or holding funds that I knew to be in jeopardy.

The futures markets are very highly-leveraged and thus require an exceptionally firm base upon which to function. That base was the sacrosanct segregation of customer funds from clearing firm capital, with additional emergency financial backing provided by the exchanges themselves. Up until a few weeks ago, that base existed, and had worked flawlessly. Firms came and went, with some imploding in spectacular fashion. Whenever a firm failure happened, the customer funds were intact and the exchanges would step in to backstop everything and keep customers 100% liquid – even as their clearing firm collapsed and was quickly replaced by another firm within the system.

Everything changed just a few short weeks ago. A firm, led by a crony of the Obama regime, stole all of the non-margined cash held by customers of his firm. Let’s not sugar-coat this or make this crime seem “complex” and “abstract” by drowning ourselves in six-dollar words and uber-technical jargon. Jon Corzine STOLE the customer cash at MF Global. Knowing Jon Corzine, and knowing the abject lawlessness and contempt for humanity of the Marxist Obama regime and its cronies, this is not really a surprise. What was a surprise was the reaction of the exchanges and regulators. Their reaction has been to take a bad situation and make it orders of magnitude worse. Specifically, they froze customers out of their accounts WHILE THE MARKETS CONTINUED TO TRADE, refusing to even allow them to liquidate. This is unfathomable. The risk exposure precedent that has been set is completely intolerable and has destroyed the entire industry paradigm. No informed person can continue to engage these markets, and no moral person can continue to broker or facilitate customer engagement in what is now a massive game of Russian Roulette.

I have learned over the last week that MF Global is almost certainly the mere tip of the iceberg. There is massive industry-wide exposure to European sovereign junk debt. While other firms may not be as heavily leveraged as Corzine had MFG leveraged, and it is now thought that MFG’s leverage may have been in excess of 100:1, they are still suicidally leveraged and will likely stand massive, unmeetable collateral calls in the coming days and weeks as Europe inevitably collapses. I now suspect that the reason the Chicago Mercantile Exchange did not immediately step in to backstop the MFG implosion was because they knew and know that if they backstopped MFG, they would then be expected to backstop all of the other firms in the system when the failures began to cascade – and there simply isn’t that much money in the entire system. In short, the problem is a SYSTEMIC problem, not merely isolated to one firm.

Perhaps the most ominous dynamic that I have yet heard of in regards to this mess is that of the risk of potential CLAWBACK actions. For those who do not know, “clawback” is the process by which a bankruptcy trustee is legally permitted to re-seize assets that left a bankrupt entity in the time period immediately preceding the entity’s collapse. So, using the MF Global customers as an example, any funds that were withdrawn from MFG accounts in the run-up to the collapse, either because of suspicions the customer may have had about MFG from, say, watching the company’s bond yields rise sharply, or from purely organic day-to-day withdrawls, the bankruptcy trustee COULD initiate action to “clawback” those funds. As a hedge broker, this makes my blood run cold. Generally, as the markets move in favor of a hedge position and equity builds in a client’s account, that excess equity is sent back to the customer who then uses that equity to offset cash market transactions OR to pay down a revolving line of credit. Even the possibility that a customer could be penalized and additionally raped AGAIN via a clawback action after already having their customer funds stolen is simply villainous. While there has been no open indication of clawback actions being initiated by the MF Global trustee, I have been told that it is a possibility.

And so, to the very unpleasant crux of the matter. The futures and options markets are no longer viable. It is my recommendation that ALL customers withdraw from all of the markets as soon as possible so that they have the best chance of protecting themselves and their equity. The system is no longer functioning with integrity and is suicidally risk-laden. The rule of law is non-existent, instead replaced with godless, criminal political cronyism.

Remember, derivatives contracts are NOT NECESSARY in the commodities markets. The cash commodity itself is the underlying reality and is not dependent on the futures or options markets. Many people seem to have gotten that backwards over the past decades. From Abel the animal husbandman up until the year 1964, there were no cattle futures contracts at all, and no options contracts until 1984, and yet the cash cattle markets got along just fine.

Finally, I will not, under any circumstance, consider reforming and re-opening Barnhardt Capital Management, or any other iteration of a brokerage business, until Barack Obama has been removed from office AND the government of the United States has been sufficiently reformed and repopulated so as to engender my total and complete confidence in the government, its adherence to and enforcement of the rule of law, and in its competent and just regulatory oversight of any commodities markets that may reform. So long as the government remains criminal, it would serve no purpose whatsoever to attempt to rebuild the futures industry or my firm, because in a lawless environment, the same thievery and fraud would simply happen again, and the criminals would go unpunished, sheltered by the criminal oligarchy.

To my clients, who literally TO THE MAN agreed with my assessment of the situation, and were relieved to be exiting the markets, and many whom I now suspect stayed in the markets as long as they did only out of personal loyalty to me, I can only say thank you for the honor and pleasure of serving you over these last years, with some of my clients having been with me for over twelve years. I will continue to blog at Barnhardt.biz, which will be subtly re-skinned soon, and will continue my cattle marketing consultation business. I will still be here in the office, answering my phones, with the same phone numbers. Alas, my retirement came a few years earlier than I had anticipated, but there was no possible way to continue given the inevitability of the collapse of the global financial markets, the overthrow of our government, and the resulting collapse in the rule of law.

As for me, I can only echo the words of David:

The Greatest Conspiracy in History

Few could ever imagine the idea but the Bible says the destiny of those living at the close of earth’s history will decide their fate based on choosing to worship the Creator of all living things or going along with the laws of mankind for the peace of mankind. There will only be two sides to this issue.

Interestingly enough, in and around the year 1888 there was a bill presented to the congress of the United States (second beast of Revelation 13) to enforce or honor the first day of the week. This was known as the ‘Blair Bill’. This was the type of what Jesus referred to as ‘when you see the armies encompassing’… know that it is near. This was the antitype of the first siege and a warning to all watching to flee and prepare for the crisis. Few listened.

Now in 2011, it is that same group who are picking up the pace to get this Lord’s day agenda pushed into congress. Based in Atlanta, Georgia the Lord’s Day Alliance is built to restore society’s view of the first day of the week or what they call ‘the Sabbath’. I want to quote from their most recent journal:

Sabbath observance plays a significant role in this endeavor. If we have to be reminded, commanded, or coerced to observe it, it ceases to serve its function.

Interestingly enough this sounds correct yet it is not their true agenda. What was then known as the ‘American Sabbath Union’ is now known as the Lord’s Day Alliance.

Another thing that really threw me off was how the article quoted the president of the Seventh-day Adventist Seminary Neils-Erik Andreasen. Interesting.

Why is this happening?

Because Lucifer was kicked out of heaven because he declared that God’s Law was arbitrary and not needing to be kept for true peace. The truth is that the last great conspiracy to come on the world will be Lucifer demanding a day of worship honoring him rather than the Creator on His Seventh-day Sabbath. You can be a Buddhist, Hindu, Muslim and keep the other 9 commandments in essence but not the 4th.

The following is from my friend that shared this all with me:

So the Sunday Alliance which is the same group behind the Blair bill in 1888, first time a national Sunday Laws was attempted (first siege) is getting ready to mount the second siege of Jerusalem (this is in prophecy ask me if study needed). The quote from their website makes the timing clear and we know prophetically this will happen. Interestingly the same group that led the charge the last time is mounting the charge again. Time is short.

“Without the Lord’s day, we cannot live, that meeting with the Lord only occurs on the specific day of Sunday, that life does not flourish without Sunday, and that Sunday is a day of rest, of freedom and equality for all the world.” (Eucharistic Celebration Homily of Pope Benedict XVI , Saint Stephen’s Cathedral, Vienna, Sunday, September 9, 2007.)

“Encouraged America to exercise its leadership within the international community based on the common moral law [Sunday holiness].”(Address of Pope Benedict XVI to H.E. Mrs. Mary Ann Glendon, New Ambassador of the United States of America to the Holy See, Friday, February 29, 2008.)

“The world has greater need of hope for peace, justice and freedom, which can never be delivered without obedience to the law of God [Sunday holiness].”(Video-Message of the Pope Benedict XVI to Catholics and People of the United States of America on the Occasion of the Upcoming Apostolic Journey, April 15-21, 2008.)

The last thing to add to the pertinence of the moment is the recent call of the Vatican to establish a global political authority that could oversee a new global monetary system.

Why would a church get involved with world politics?

Across the world there is concern over our financial system. The Catholic Church has called for reform in the way in which money is managed and even called for a ‘Central World Bank’.

The Bible tells us that the whole world will have a means by which to determine whether citizens of any country can buy or sell. See Revelation 13 and Revelation 17 as well as the last few verse of Daniel 11 to see where we are at in World Events. The Bible foretells of a day when the world’s leading economists and the United States military as well as the influence of the Catholic Church will bring about a new system of governance and religious intolerance that will control the masses.

Here was a clue to who would lead out: Such an authority should start with the United Nations as its reference point but later become independent and be endowed with the power to see to it that developed countries were not allowed to wield “excessive power over the weaker countries.”

I would argue the system is in place and the pope is calling for something that already exists.

It is true that there are many issues wrong with the United States and the world. If we would study history we can find why these things are as they seem today. I must be honest to say that I have been manipulated in the past year to feel certain ways about leaders around the world and now I can see why. It is not by chance that all of the middle east and north africa is under attack.

If you misunderstood Bible prophecy like most evangelical christians in America, then you too would be Zionist in nature and would want Israel to have a state and restore the temple mount. In order to do this, you would want to get rid of your enemies that would prevent this. Now I can prove the temple mount will never be built again but that is another story. We are in the midst of manipulation at it’s climax. Revelation 17 speaks of various world powers coming on the scene. The last will be united with 10 kingdoms which I believe were established by the Club of Rome many years ago. We are on the verge of the scenes taking place in our cities like they did in France during the Reign of Terror. Here is the agenda of the last superpower on the earth which the Bible shows us will be the United Nations:

The United Nations global conspirators manifest their agenda through the skilful manipulation of human emotions, especially fear. In the past centuries, they have repeatedly utilized a contrivance that NWO researcher and author David Icke has characterized in his latest book, The Biggest Secret, as Problem, Reaction, and Solution.
The technique is as follows: NWO strategists create the Problem – by funding , assembling, and training an “opposition” group to stimulate turmoil in an established political power (sovereign country, region, continent, etc.) that they wish to impinge upon and thus create opposing factions in a conflict that the NWO themselves maneuvered into existence. In recent decades, so called opposition groups are usually identified in the media as ‘freedom fighters’ or ‘liberators’.

The conflict is drawn to the world stage by the controlled media outlets with a barrage of photos and video tape reports of horrific and bloody atrocities suffered by innocent civilians. The cry goes up “Something has to be done!” And that is the desired Reaction.
The NWO puppeteers then provide the Solution by sending in UN ‘Peace Keepers’ (Bosnia) or a UN ‘Coalition Force’ (Gulf War) or NATO Bombers and then ground troops (Kosovo), or the military to ‘search for Weapons of Mass Destruction’, which of course are never found. Once installed, the ‘peace keepers’ never leave. The idea is to have NWO controlled ground troops in all major countries or strategic areas where significant resistance to the New World Order takeover is likely to be encountered.

If you have watched any news and thought “oh man, Mubarak, Gaddafi, etc are so evil they must be destroyed,” then perhaps you have been a part of the above equation.

Most people say the stone of Daniel 2 is the second coming but is it?

1. Daniel 2 makes reference to a stone cut out without hands meaning it is not man-made but God made. The Stone hits the image (kingdoms of the world) at the close of time or end of time.

2. Testimonies to Ministers, a book written over 100 years ago on page 422 says that God’s people are “Living Stones” or Lively Stones. Also look up 1 Peter 2: 2-5 and Psalms 118: 22,23. Then go to Zach 12:3 for a stone in the singular.

3. Mountain- what is the Mountain? Zach 8:3 says that Jerusalem or Zion is the Mountain or God’s true people. Who does the Bible say are God’s modern day people/israel? Daniel 9:16, 20 talks about Jerusalem as the Mountain but also details the mystic stones.

Who or What is the mystic stone?

Medical missionary work is the right hand of the gospel. It is necessary to the advancement of the cause of God. As through it men and women are led to see the importance of right habits of living, the saving power of the truth will be made known. Every city is to be entered by workers trained to do medical missionary work. As the right hand of the third angel’s message, God’s methods of treating disease will open doors for the entrance of present truth. Health literature must be circulated in many lands. Our physicians in Europe and other countries should awake to the necessity of having health works prepared by men who are on the ground and who can meet the people where they are with the most essential instruction. {7T 59.1}

The Lord will give to our sanitariums whose work is already established an opportunity to co-operate with Him in assisting newly established plants. Every new institution is to be regarded as a sister helper in the great work of proclaiming the third angel’s message. God has given our sanitariums an opportunity to set in operation a work that will be as a stone instinct with life, growing as it is rolled by an invisible hand. THE medical missionary work and the evangelical missionary work are the same thing.
The preachers are to have all they can possibly get of the principles of health and temperance—the medical missionary work; and the physicians, nurses, etc., are to have all they can possibly get of the gospel—the evangelical work. So now please let every conference worker make an actual study of everything that is presented in this convention, so that he will know what to do when he goes out into the field; for we, as ministers of the gospel, are to teach to the people the gospel of complete health, the complete gospel of health. {March 4, 1902 ATJ, ARSH 130.1}
Each one of us—each one of the canvassers, wherever he goes; each preacher, each licentiate—who goes out into the field, is to do that. And this phase of the work is to receive its share of consideration in our convention.
I cannot make any distinction between health and gospel. In truth, the gospel is health; and true health is the gospel.
For this reason, truly the gospel of health is all the gospel there is.
I want you to see this. The other day I had an opportunity to trace the meaning of the word “health,” and I do not know that I can do better than to call your attention to it, so that you may see for yourselves that there is nothing but the gospel of health,—that the gospel is health, and that health is the gospel. {March 4, 1902 ATJ, ARSH 130.2}
The word “health” is an abstract noun, from “whole,” not from “heal.” The real meaning of the word “whole” is “hale, sound, entire, complete.” The original sense of the word “whole” is “hale,” which signifies “in sound health.” This is confirmed by that verse of Scripture: “They that be whole need not a physician, but they that are sick.” {March 4, 1902 ATJ, ARSH 130.3}
The original form of the present word “hale” is “hal.” And its descent is “hal, hol, hool, hole, hwole, whole.” Thus the spelling, “h-a-l-e” is only a later Scandinavian form of the word “whole.” The present Norwegian word for “whole” is “hel.” Indeed, the “w” in the word “whole” has been in use only about four hundred years; and the English Philological Society has recommended the dropping of the “w,” so as to restore the word to its connection with its related words, “holy,” “heal,” “health;” etc. {March 4, 1902 ATJ, ARSH 130.4}
Thus the descent of our word “whole,” in that line, from the original “hal,” shows it to mean “in sound health.” {March 4, 1902 ATJ, ARSH 130.5}
This word has another line of descent, which presents an additional and very important idea. It runs thus: hal, hol, hool, hole, holy, hole-ness, holy-ness, holi-ness; for our present word “holy” is “nothing but Middle English ‘hool’ (now spelled w-h-o-l-e), with suffix ‘y.’” The Anglo-Saxon runs the same: “hal,” with suffix “ig,” forming “halig.” This suffix “ig” corresponds exactly to our modern English “y,” so that the Anglo-Saxon “halig” is precisely our modern word “holy.” Corresponding to the Anglo-Saxon “halig” is the German “heilig,” which also corresponds precisely to our present word “holy.” And that German word “heilig” is from the word “heil,” which signifies “health, happiness, safety, salvation.” The descent and family of the word in German is this:— {March 4, 1902 ATJ, ARSH 130.6}

The Scandinavian languages—indeed, the whole Teutonic family of languages—tell the same story.
And that story is that in the true conception of health, both holiness and its resultant—salvation—are comprehended.

Then health is wholeness, and true wholeness is holiness. The preacher cannot teach true holiness without teaching true health; neither can the doctor teach true health without teaching holiness. In what, then, does the work of the preacher differ from that of the doctor? How can the work of the medical missionary be one thing, and that of the minister in the field preaching the gospel be another thing?

By the way, we have been told that the medical missionary work and the preaching should be combined. How shall they be combined? Shall it be by sending out a preacher and a doctor to work together? Will that truly combine these two things, unless these two things are combined in each of the two men?—Plainly not.
Therefore the only true way to combine the medical missionary work with all the other work of the Third Angel’s Message, is to have these all combined in each individual.
In the very language in which we speak in our own native and ancestral Anglo-Saxon, this combination already exists. In the words in which we speak on the subject these two things are combined. Then, not to have them combined in our work demonstrates that we do not truly know the language in which we speak, that we do not comprehend the meaning of the very words which we se when we speak on the subject. {March 4, 1902 ATJ, ARSH 130.18}
The Bible says this same thing. In it, as in our language itself, these two things are combined in a single verse and in the same words. In 2 Cor. 7:1 we read, “Let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God.” {March 4, 1902 ATJ, ARSH 130.19}
But what is “holiness”?—Only another form of the word “health.” “Let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God.”
And health, wholeness, holiness, is salvation.
The physician or the nurse who fails to preach salvation, fails to preach true health; and the minister or the Bible worker who fails to preach health, fails to preach true salvation.
“Without holiness no man shall see the Lord.” Let us read it, “Without health no man shall see the Lord;” for that expresses the same thought. The people who see the Lord while they stand alive on the earth, are going to be holy; they are going to be sound, whole, healthy; they are going to have salvation, holiness; they are going to be sanctified wholly—body, soul, and spirit preserved blameless unto the coming of the Lord. And so it is written: “I am the Lord that health thee.” God has yet much truth for you and me on the subject of salvation, holiness, health. {March 4, 1902 ATJ, ARSH 130.20}
Where our further-back mother tongue says “heil,” our immediate mother tongue says “salvation.” Now our own English Bible says that same thing—that health and salvation are the same thing. In Ps. 67:1, 2, we read: “God be merciful unto us, and bless us; and cause His face to shine upon us; that thy way may be known upon earth, thy saving health among all nations.” What kind of health?—Saving. Then what is connected with true health, God’s health?—Salvation. Health means salvation. It means holiness; and salvation because of holiness. {March 4, 1902 ATJ, ARSH 130.21}
“That thy way may be known upon earth.” What is His “way”?—”Thy saving health;” salvation. Then there is salvation in health, is there? Is there salvation in the health that you preach and teach? And there is health in salvation, is there? Is there health in the salvation that you preach? In studying the Bible, watch the parallels of expression, and catch the thought that is conveyed in the parallel, and you will find worlds upon worlds opening up to you. {March 4, 1902 ATJ, ARSH 130.22}
“That thy way may be known upon earth, thy saving health unto all nations.” Turn back to Ps. 42:5: “Why art thou cast down, O my soul? and why art thou disquieted in me? hope thou in God; for I shall yet praise Him for the help of His countenance.” The Hebrew words in English letters says, “For His presence is salvation.” There is salvation in His presence. But what is salvation?—Health.
What is the difference between saving health and salvation?—They are the same.

Now the eleventh verse: “I shall yet praise Him, who is the health of my countenance, and my God.” The help of His countenance is the health of my countenance. His presence is salvation, and His presence is health. Then by the Scriptures, true salvation is health, and true health is salvation. See also Ps. 43:5. {March 4, 1902 ATJ, ARSH 130.24}
Now another verse (Isa. 33:24): “The inhabitant shall not say: I am sick.” Why?—Because “the people that dwell therein shall be forgiven their iniquity.” What, then, is the root of sickness?—Iniquity. What is the true way to cure sickness?—Get rid of iniquity.
Then if I am a preacher, and a sick person calls me to pray for his recovery, what is to be done for him?—His sin must be forgiven, his iniquity must be put away. But suppose I am a doctor or a medical missionary, not a preacher. A sick person calls me, and wishes me to cure him. How am I to do it?—In the same way. Does not that text apply to the doctor as well as to the preacher? Can it be said that the preacher’s work is to get the people’s sins forgiven, and that he has nothing to do with sickness?—No; for healing and forgiveness are inseparably blended in the Bible.
Can it be said that the doctor’s work is to teach the principles of health, and that he has nothing to do with salvation?—Not if he be a Christian; for Christianity is the inseparable blending of these two things. Therefore when the preacher goes out to preach forgiveness of sins, does he do that properly unless he teaches the people that iniquity is the root of sickness, and that forgiveness of iniquity is the way to health? {March 4, 1902 ATJ, ARSH 130.25}
When I have told people that iniquity lies at the root of sickness, and that forgiveness of iniquity is the only true way to true health, does it necessarily follow that he who accepts forgiveness of iniquity should expect, or should be expected, to walk off in perfect health without any further thought as to health?—No. Then would it be proper for him, yes, would it be proper to teach him, to make the proper application of those Christianly rational treatments, etc., that might be necessary to help him physically up to health and strength, even after his sins are forgiven, as a way to health?—Yes. Would that be proper for a preacher?—Yes. But suppose I am a doctor. If a person is sick, and I am called to tell him how to get well, and to help him get well, am I doing my duty when I make only the Christianly rational, physical, medicinal applications?—No; for the forgiveness of sins lies at the foundation of the true cure of the sickness that I am treating. {March 4, 1902 ATJ, ARSH 130.26}
But when the doctor has made the proper Christianly rational applications, is he contradicting himself, undermining his profession, and going contrary to scientific principles, if he says to his patient: “This will relieve you, but you can never have true health until you get rid of sin, the root of all sickness. You have called me in as a physician; but there is a Physician greater than I. It is He who taught me all the medicine that I know. There is a part of your disease that I cannot reach; that is iniquity. But the Great Physician can cure that as well as all the rest.
I make these applications; but it is He alone who gives even to these all their virtue; it is He alone who heals. Yet with all this there is still a part of this difficulty that I cannot touch at all; I cannot forgive your sins, and sin is the root of your disease, and of all disease. So if you wish to be truly cured, take from Him the forgiveness of sins just as you are taking from Him the cure of this physical part of your disease”? {March 4, 1902 ATJ, ARSH 130.27}
Possibly the patient might say: “I did not call you to preach to me.” But the true physician can reply: “You called me to prescribe for your disease. I have done it strictly within my profession. If you do not wish to take the medicine, you need not do it; but that is the only way to true health.” Now all will admit that he does not contradict his profession, nor violate scientific principles, when he makes that combination, or rather, when he recognizes the combination which the Lord has already made.
Then is the preacher going contrary to his profession? is he undermining all faith, or throwing away the true science of salvation, when he teaches the forgiveness of sins, and then recommends or applies Christianly rational treatments?—No. If the preacher separates these things, he fails to preach true holiness; if the doctor separates them, he does not teach true health. If the preacher separates them, he has not true holiness; if the doctor separates them, he has not true health. So the preacher lacks the very thing that he professes to preach, and the doctor lacks the very thing that he professes to practice, if either separates health and holiness. {March 4, 1902 ATJ, ARSH 131.1}
This is Christianity, and should be possessed by each person. Whether we be preachers, doctors, or only plain Christians, pure, simple Christianity requires that we “cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God.” {March 4, 1902 ATJ, ARSH 131.2}
What is filthiness of the flesh?—It is tobacco using; opium eating; tea, coffee, beer, or whisky drinking; eating unclean and unwholesome food; unclean habits of living. From all such things the Christian cleanses himself. But when that is done, only half of the man is reached. He must also cleanse himself from “all filthiness of the Spirit.” The man must do both to attain to true holiness, haleness, health, salvation. And what God has so joined together, how can any man do well in putting asunder? {March 4, 1902 ATJ, ARSH 131.3}

Natural Disasters: Who is to blame: God or Satan?

In light of the strategized hype of the storm this weekend, I thought this news story of judgments as acts of God’s anger by Bachmann was very interesting in light of a statement written over 100 years ago:

While appearing to the children of men as a great physician who can heal all their maladies, he will bring disease and disaster, until populous cities are reduced to ruin and desolation. Even now he is at work. In accidents and calamities by sea and by land, in great conflagrations, in fierce [BEGIN P.590] tornadoes and terrific hailstorms, in tempests, floods, cyclones, tidal waves, and earthquakes, in every place and in a thousand forms, Satan is exercising his power. He sweeps away the ripening harvest, and famine and distress follow. He imparts to the air a deadly taint, and thousands perish by the pestilence. These visitations are to become more and more frequent and disastrous. Destruction will be upon both man and beast. “The earth mourneth and fadeth away,” “the haughty people . . . do languish. The earth also is defiled under the inhabitants thereof; because they have transgressed the laws, changed the ordinance, broken the everlasting covenant.” Isaiah 24:4, 5. {GC 589.3}

And then the great deceiver will persuade men that those who serve God are causing these evils. The class that have provoked the displeasure of Heaven will charge all their troubles upon those whose obedience to God’s commandments is a perpetual reproof to transgressors. It will be declared that men are offending God by the violation of the Sunday sabbath; that this sin has brought calamities which will not cease until Sunday observance shall be strictly enforced; and that those who present the claims of the fourth commandment, thus destroying reverence for Sunday, are troublers of the people, preventing their restoration to divine favor and temporal prosperity. Thus the accusation urged of old against the servant of God will be repeated and upon grounds equally well established: “And it came to pass, when Ahab saw Elijah, that Ahab said unto him, Art thou he that troubleth Israel? And he answered, I have not troubled Israel; but thou, and thy father’s house, in that ye have forsaken the commandments of the Lord, and thou hast followed Baalim.” 1 Kings 18:17, 18. As the wrath of the people shall be excited by false charges, they will pursue a course toward God’s ambassadors very similar to that which apostate Israel pursued toward Elijah. {GC 590.1}

Are Student Loans Modern Slavery?

I must first give you some background on why this issue means something to me. About 2 years ago now, I along with a few other gentlemen started a non profit organization called ‘The Beehive’. It was our intention to take health and see how it could be tool to reach the various and many different demographics in this world. As we set out on our endeavor over the past few years we have looked for others to join us. Ideally it would be great to have those with talents needed in today’s marketplace i.e. graphic design, marketing, accounting, film production, management and more. Most of the people who excel or are at least trained in those areas are coming out of college and ready to conquer the world. We found that people wanted to join us but were enslaved to so much debt that it was impossible.

They say that the sentiment today is that most graduates would rather find a fulfilling job than a high paying miserable one. And here is where the big debt-ridden red elephant enters our discussion. The truth is that our organization as well as others have been unable to lure a great deal of these graduates due to something beyond their control at this point: DEBT.

The Bible says in Proverbs 22:7 – “The rich rules over the poor, and the borrower is servant to the lender.” This could not be more true.

As a sidenote, when studying bible prophecy we see a beast in Revelation 13 that has the characteristics of the beasts of Daniel 7 i.e. the Lion-Babylon, the Bear- Medo-Persia, and the Leopard-Greece. This beast in Revelation 13 is a combination of those beasts. The primary feature described though is not it’s head or feet but it’s overall body and appearance. Yes it has a mouth like a lion and feet like a bear but he identifies it as a Leopard. Why is this and is there any lesson for us?

Personally I believe the reasoning for the elements described on this beast of Revelation 13 are due to characteristics that would be exemplified by the beast. The mouth like a Lion represents Babylon’s characteristic of speaking boldly and forcefully and later we see a beast speaking like a dragon, similiar idea.

The second with the feet of a bear is that the greatest element of Medo-Persia was their laws. We see that from the story of Daniel in the Lion’s den. Not even the king could revoke law in his kingdom.

What was the greatest feature or characteristic to come out of Greece? I believe it was their educational system. Today I would say that the beast of Revelation 13 has his primary emphasis in the way men and women, boys and girls are taught in our educational system. Think about it for a second. A child is trained with non-biblical principles from the time it is 3 in day care to the time he or she is 25 and graduating with a Masters Degree. More time is spent in a classroom than with a parent in the training years of life. Now we can see why Daniel, Moses and others were trained so diligently at a young age by their mothers.

So to bring this altogether, the United States finds itself in a situation where the entire country is in debt on an individual level as well as the country as a whole is in a debt crisis. There are many theories and realities as to how we got here but one interesting one to me is our educational system.

Did you know that student aid loans given for college and university are one of the only forms of debt in the United States that someone cannot bankrupt from and escape? This means that this debt is attached to you until you pay it off. In essence a borrower being servant (slave) to the lender. The lender in this case is the United States government that has backed the loan. The colleges are getting paid and they are happy to get as many students loans as possible. The loans are easy to get and we push higher education so it is a nice sweet picture that we are painting. This picture is even painted in Christian circles and yet Christians were to be missionaries on the earth and not slaves to a system where we are taught merely to reflect the ideas of other mens thoughts.

I know that the most innovative creative people and hard working people I can think of in this world have no formal college degree. I know in my own experience as I look back, I was trained with dated methods that were out of date the minute I graduate college.

So for the proof in the pudding, here are two articles about this issue in the news. The founder of “The University of Phoenix” which is an online educational training school is a for-profit company. They have helped students get government backed loans over the years and have been raking in the cash while students are leaving with tons of debt and can’t get jobs. So the government has decided that they will no longer help this debt creation debacle unless schools can show that at least 35% of students are attempting to pay back these government loans. This means basically that perhaps University of Phoenix has been doling out degrees at the cost of the US government and not many students are paying back their loans. Some have called it another ‘housing’ type implosion in the making.

The founder of University of Phoenix is selling off his shares in a large part as he sees the writing on the wall and another story linked to below shows why.

Bottom Line: Education is not what we have made it. There is something far greater than getting a load of debt so that you can go join the rat race. I challenge people with students soon to enter college to rethink the entire process. Also, how can anyone find time to be a missionary or spread the gospel if trapped in a rat race where you have so much debt obligations? Some will say then what should we do “not go to school”. I think debt is like a cancer and ruins lives. If saving up for it is what is needed then so be it. Shame on Christian institutions especially that allow young people to leave with so much debt. I had not officially heard of this until recently. The Bible reveals a climactic scene at the end of earth’s history revolving around true worship of God or false worship of Satan. NLP, Adam and Eve’s Hypnosis and Suicide in the Remnant Church?

Perhaps you have not ever heard of NLP (Neuro-linguistic programming) . It is a modern day form of mind-control and closely related to hypnosis. I would encourage you to learn enough about it so that you may recognize it. It is being used by the majority of public speakers in the world today, that includes many that you may enjoy listening to on a regular basis.

If you wonder why this is is a big deal it is because of the dangers of mind cure, mind control and ultimately hypnosis. Did you know Eve was hypnotized? Read below:

EXAMPLE #1:

I tell you in the name of the Lord God of Israel, that Satan is presenting his sophistries to ministers and medical workers, and if our people listen to these sophistries, they will become impregnated with the same false idea of a popular religion that will cause them to develop into gods, and there will be no place in their lives for God or for Christ. {10MR 163.1}

Just as long as men consent to listen to these sophistries, a subtle influence will weave the fine threads of these seductive theories into their minds, and men who should turn away from the first sound of such teaching will learn to love it. As loyal subjects we must refuse even to listen to these sophistries. Their influence is something like a deadly viper, poisoning the minds of all who listen. It is a branch of hypnotism, deadening the sensibilities of the soul. {10MR 163.2}

I have not strength to dwell upon this, for I feel so strong an indignation against Satan and those who, with the Word of God in their possession, listen to the teaching of human agencies; who are intent upon declaring theories which they present as more wonderful, higher, grander than the teachings of Christ, the One who gave His life to save the world from Satan’s higher education. We cannot afford to exchange Christ’s teachings for the devil’s lies. {10MR 163.3}

EXAMPLE # 2:

The time has come when even in the church and in our institutions, some will depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits and doctrines of devils. But God will keep that which is committed to Him. Let us draw near to Him. that He may draw near to us. Let us bear a plain, clear testimony, right to the point, that hypnotism is being used by those who have departed from the faith, and that we are not to link up with them. Through those who depart from the faith the power of the enemy will be exercised to lead others astray. {19MR 311.5}

EXAMPLE #3:

Satan tempted the first Adam in Eden, and Adam reasoned with the enemy, thus giving him the advantage. Satan exercised his power of hypnotism over Adam and Eve, and this power he strove to exercise over Christ. But after the word of Scripture was quoted, Satan knew that he had no chance of triumphing. {21MR 10.1}

CONCLUSION:

The further study of NLP led me to see the use of the tonality and breathing of a speaker. I thought, “Wait a minute, haven’t I read something like this before?” And yes I did: Check this out below. By speaking incorrectlly many of our teachers and preachers may be committing suicide without even knowing it:

Manner of Speaking – Testimonies vol 4. 404

Some of our most talented ministers are doing themselves great injury by their defective manner of speaking. While teaching the people their duty to obey God’s moral law, they should not be found violating the laws of God in regard to health and life. Ministers should stand erect and speak slowly, firmly, and distinctly, taking a full inspiration of air at every sentence and throwing out the words by exercising the abdominal muscles. If they will observe this simple rule, giving attention to the laws of health in other respects, they may preserve their life and usefulness much longer than men in any other profession. {4T 404.1}

The chest will become broader, and by educating the voice, the speaker need seldom become hoarse, even by constant speaking. Instead of our ministers’ becoming consumptives by speaking, they may, by care, overcome all tendency to consumption. I would say to my ministering brethren: Unless you educate yourselves to speak according to physical law, you will sacrifice life, and many will mourn the loss of “those martyrs to the cause of truth,” when the facts in the case are that by indulging in wrong habits you did injustice to your selves and to the truth which you represented, and robbed God and the world of the service you might have rendered. God would have been pleased to have you live, but you slowly committed suicide. {4T 404.2}

The manner in which the truth is presented often has much to do in determining whether it will be accepted or rejected. All who labor in the great cause of reform should study to become efficient workmen, that they may accomplish [BEGIN P.405] the greatest possible amount of good and not detract from the force of the truth by their own deficiencies. {4T 404.3}

Ministers and teachers should discipline themselves to clear and distinct articulation, giving the full sound to every word. Those who talk rapidly, from the throat, jumbling the words together and raising their voices to an unnaturally high pitch, soon become hoarse, and the words spoken lose half the force which they would have if spoken slowly, distinctly, and not so loud. The sympathies of the hearers are awakened for the speaker, for they know that he is doing violence to himself and they fear that he will break down at any moment. It is no evidence that a man has zeal for God because he works himself up into a frenzy of excitement and gesticulation. “Bodily exercise,” says the apostle, “profiteth little.” {4T 405.1}

The Saviour of the world would have His colaborers represent Him; and the more closely a man walks with God, the more faultless will be his manner of address, his deportment, his attitude, and his gestures. Coarse and uncouth manners were never seen in our Pattern, Christ Jesus. He was a representative of heaven, and His followers must be like Him. {4T 405.2}

Some reason that the Lord will by His Spirit qualify a man to speak as He would have him; but the Lord does not propose to do the work which He has given man to do. He has given us reasoning powers and opportunities to educate the mind and manners. And after we have done all we can for ourselves, making the best use of the advantages within our reach, then we may look to God with earnest prayer to do by His Spirit that which we cannot do for ourselves, and we shall ever find in our Saviour power and efficiency. {4T 405.3}

THAT STATEMENT WAS WRITTEN OVER 100 YEARS AGO. It could not be more true than today.

Today Wall Street plummeted (ok that may be too strong but the reaction to his statements is what I am talking about), and I am guessing the world markets will follow suit, when the chief economist on the planet – Mr. Ben Bernanke decided to share his utter confusion as to what to do with the current economic state of the world. A crazy thought for some but many have differing views on this. I found some great thoughts on this I had to share:

The Spraying of Fruit Trees

There are those who say that nothing, not even insects, should be killed. God has not entrusted any such message to His people. It is possible to stretch the command “Thou shalt not kill” to any limit; but it is not according to sound reasoning to do this. Those who do it have not learned in the school of Christ. {3SM 329.1}

This earth has been cursed because of sin, and in these last days vermin of every kind will multiply. These pests must be killed, or they will annoy and torment and even kill us, and destroy the work of our hands and the fruit of our land. In places there are ants [termites] which entirely destroy the woodwork of houses. Should not these be destroyed? Fruit trees must be sprayed, that the insects which would spoil the fruit may be killed. God has given us a part to act, and this part we must act with faithfulness. Then we can leave the rest with the Lord. {3SM 329.2}

God has given no man the message, Kill not ant or flea or moth. Troublesome and harmful insects and reptiles we must guard against and destroy, to preserve ourselves and our possessions from harm. A Prophetic Predicament-Literal, Symbolic, or Both?

I want to begin by saying that I believe this past weekend May 21 was a subtle or some may argue not so subtle attack on…not Harold Camping but Seventh-day Adventists. Check out all of the news and think about the only group that plans on ramping up it’s preaching in the coming months and years about an imminent judgment and literal second coming? Chalk one up for the enemy of souls this weekend.

I don’t know if you are aware but the man getting alot of press this weekend was a man by the name of William Miller. He was the one that discovered the date of 1844 and the belief in the literal and visible second coming. He had some rules for biblical intepretation. Here are just a few and a link to the rest:

11. How to know when a word is used figuratively: If it makes good sense as it stands, and does no violence to the simple laws of nature, then it must be understood literally; if not, figuratively. Revelation 12:1,2;17:3-7

12. To learn the true meaning of figures, trace your figurative word through your Bible, and where you find it explained, put it on your figure, and if it makes good sense you need look no further; if not, look again.

13. To know whether we have the true historical event for the fulfillment of a prophecy: If you find every word of the prophecy (after the figures are understood) is literally fulfilled, then you may know that your history is the true event. But if one word lacks a fulfillment, then you must look for another event, or wait its future development. For God takes care that history and prophecy doth agree, so that the true, believing children of God may never be ashamed. Psalms 21:5; Isaiah 14:17-19; 1 Peter 2:6; Revelation 17:17; Acts 3:18

Interestingly enough one of the pioneers of the movement, Ellen White said this about it:

“Those who are engaged in proclaiming the third angel’s message are searching the Scriptures upon the same plan that Father Miller adopted. In the little book entitled “Views of the Prophecies and Prophetic Chronology,” Father Miller gives the following simple but intelligent and important rules for Bible study and interpretation…

Also…

“The above is a portion of these rules; and in our study of the Bible we shall all do well to heed the principles set forth.” {RH, November 25, 1884}

So in regards to number 11. I have a question. If something can make sense and take place in reality in the realm of nature as we know it, then we should take it as it reads according to #11. Ok, then buckle your seat belts:

We are told in Exodus 9:23-25 that a plague came upon Egypt, the plague of Hail:

²³And Moses stretched forth his rod toward heaven: and the LORD sent thunder and hail, and the fire ran along upon the ground; and the LORD rained hail upon the land of Egypt.

²⁴So there was hail, and fire mingled with the hail, very grievous, such as there was none like it in all the land of Egypt since it became a nation.

²⁵And the hail smote throughout all the land of Egypt all that was in the field, both man and beast; and the hail smote every herb of the field, and brake every tree of the field.

Now notice that above it says that all the herb (grass) of the field was destroyed yet just a few verses later in Exodus 10:5 it says this:

⁵And they shall cover the face of the earth, that one cannot be able to see the earth: and they shall eat the residue of that which is escaped, which remaineth unto you from the hail, and shall eat every tree which groweth for you out of the field:

It says clearly in 9 that all the grass (herb) was destroyed yet in Chapter 10 it appears that some has survived. Now notice this:

We see clearly and no one denies that this LITERALLY happened in Egypt. Yet we go to Revelation and using the same method of interpretation of William Miller #11 that was endorsed by Ellen White, we now see this in Chapter 8:

⁶And the seven angels which had the seven trumpets prepared themselves to sound.

⁷The first angel sounded, and there followed hail and fire mingled with blood, and they were cast upon the earth: and the third part of trees was burnt up, and all green grass was burnt up.

In the same way that it says ALL was destroyed like in Exodus, we see the same idea that some has survived because we read in 9:4 that the grass is back.

***On a sidenote, it is interesting to see in Revelation 9:4 that people already have the seal of God. This raises a question for a few schools of thought- Can we recieve the seal of God before the Sunday Law test? If one is a historicist only, then you must answer yes. If one is a futurist, then one must answer yes as these events take place before the National Sunday Law test. If one believes in dual application, then we must determine what really is the seal of God.

CONCLUSION:

The truth is that the only definitive answer many will give in believing that all of the trumpets occured in the past is by saying that Ellen White endorsed that. The truth is that when she wrote the Spirit of Prophecy volume 4 (The original Great Controversy) she does not make any mention of Josiah Litch and the confirmation of 1840 and the fall of the Ottoman empire. We think that because in the 1888 and forward Great Controversy editions, the understanding of Litch is endorsed. The question remains that we know that compilers helped add “needed” info to the later versions of the Great Controversy and Ellen White did endorse them. Is there dual application? Was God not ready to refute something like that? After all, 1844 and the error was God’s responsibility because we know that He hid their mistake and it was not their fault. Just food for thought.

The reason I am so passionate about this is because in the closing years of Ellen White’s life she really became more and more emphatic that we understand Daniel & Revelation. My question is this: If we had all but a few details in chapter 13 figured out by 1910-1915 then why was she increasingly serious about getting back to study those books. We had Daniel and Revelation by Uriah Smith, was that not enough? Is it perhaps that God knew we would need something more to get us through the last great crisis?

The End of the World on May 21? – Not according to the Bible!

There are news stories flying from salon.com to NPR and I am sure you will hear about it all week. In fact, when next week rolls around this post will probably seem laughable.

Sadly, many are giving up their whole lives and families to follow a false prophet by the name of Harold Camping. He has predicted the end of the world before…and been wrong. Rather than beat around the bush, here are the points where his basis is wrong:

So he’s not planning for May 22?

“Absolutely not,” Camping says. “It is going to happen. There is no Plan B.”

I’ve asked a dozen of Camping’s followers the same question. Everyone said even entertaining the possibility that May 21 would come and go without event is an offense to God. They all hope they’ll be raptured. Some worry about being left behind.

“If I’m here on May 22, and I wake up, I’m going to be in hell,” says Brown. “And that’s where I don’t want to be. So there is going to be a May 22, and we don’t want to be here.”

On the other hand, he will presumably have lots of company.

The Truth:

The truth of the matter is that Camping is off on a few points.

1. The flood was not 7000 years ago according to Scripture and the genealogies listed in Scripture. Camping’s response to this accusation “Well the bible doesn’t really mean what it says”.

2. His basis for dating prophecy is flawed and is not based on scripture. He at times uses days and other times becomes fanciful and does whatever seems convenient with dates and times. The Bible is consistent and no one needs to guess.

3. He uses references from Revelation 8-11 to form theories on his 153 literal days and the 200 million that will be saved. Prophetic interpretation must be consistent and based on scripture. He does not understand the second coming as being literal and that a secret rapture or different dates on judgment are actually unbiblical. This is sadly the case with many christians. The truth is that the bible speaks nothing of a secret rapture.

The devil is preparing to decieve the entire world and events like May 21 will come and go and it just desensitizes people to the reality of a day when God will actually return. I am sad to say a man like Camping claim to know bible truth and yet it be so off base that many have been decieved and next sunday we need to pray they will not lose their courage.

Fierce Tornados and Terrific Hail-Storms, Windstorms…Satan is exercising his power

With so many as of late losing their lives and many questioning where is God, I have been reading and re-reading a quote written over 100 years ago regarding the ploys of Satan. Whether it is HAARP or a ‘natural’ disaster, we can be sure that the enemy of souls is looking to extinguish the human race. We know from the biblical story of Job that Satan has the ability to manipulate the weather to cause destruction. At this pivotal time in earth’s history, may we find our refuge in the God of the Bible and hold to His promises that deliverance is near. The following quote will help you see that the devil is pulling out all of the stops as he knows that his time is almost up.

In accidents and calamities by sea and by land, in great conflagrations, in fierce tornadoes and terrific hail-storms, in tempests, floods, cyclones, tidal waves, and earthquakes, in every place and in a thousand forms, Satan is exercising his power. He sweeps away the ripening harvest, and famine and distress follow. He imparts to the air a deadly taint, and thousands perish by the pestilence. These visitations are to become more and more frequent and disastrous. Destruction will be upon both man and beast. “The earth mourneth and fadeth away,” “the haughty people . . . do languish. The earth also is defiled under the inhabitants thereof; because they have transgressed the laws, changed the ordinance, broken the everlasting covenant.” [ISA. 24:4, 5.] {GC88 589.3}

Rob Bell, Hell, and will all be saved?

In the midst of a storm of controversy in the christian world, it is fitting to address an issue that has scared millions throughout history: HELL.

The truth of the matter is that from a biblical perspective, Hell in the sense of a place with burning flames that has existed for thousands of years DOES NOT EXIST!. This is based purely on scripture. Now where the roads may diverge is not the idea of eternal hell fire but judgment and punishment of rebellion.

According to Isaiah 14 and Ezekiel 28, we are shown that the issue that caused the downfall of Lucifer from his high position in heaven was his rebellion against the foundation of the government of God: His Law or His Character.

The question is whether or not men like Ghandi or Hitler or Mother Theresa or John the Baptist or Nebuchadnezzar will be in heaven forever or will they be destroyed in the fire of hell.

Various questions arise. Is hell a place or an event? Biblically speaking it is an event that takes place after the 1000 years in heaven. The definition would be this: Hell is an event where God will allow those who did not choose Him, to not suffer forever more but to be blotted from existance. If they were to live in heaven in the midst of all of the scenes and people that they had rejected in life, they would not enjoy it.

What is heaven? What is hell? The answer to me is heaven is a place where you want to be. Hell is a place where you don’t want to be. Now answer this. If you cannot swim and someone drops you off in the middle of the ocean, would that be heaven or hell to you? If you love kids and you live in a place where there are no children allowed, wouldn’t that be hell rather than heaven?

Heaven is a place where God dwells. The question is for us today, do we enjoy spending time with God? Would we rather be with God and like the things He likes or be alone and enjoy the pleasures of this world. At the end of the day we will get exactly what we desire.

So to Bell’s credit, there is no ‘Hell’ in the biblical sense as millions have thought during the ages. This belief has been one of the most evil lies ever developed in the ‘Christian’ church. God and His character would not torture people forever.

Now to the second issue which is very interesting is who will be saved and will everyone be saved? Interestingly enough there are varying views on this one. Rob Bell brings out the idea that ‘Love Wins’ and perhaps all are saved. Another idea is that perhaps we don’t know who will be saved and how could we.

Many ‘Christians’ would argue that the only way to heaven is by being baptized and professing the name of Jesus. What about the idea that Jesus brings out that there are sheep that know His voice that are not of His fold yet? What about those in lands in our world throughout time that have never had a gospel missionary set foot on their land and tell them about Jesus or God? Are these condemned? If so how is that fair?

The issue in my opinion as the where Bell veers from the ark of safety is his lack of understanding of judgment. There are countless examples of judgment in the bible. God has always had to make a ‘judgment call’ where people were saved or lost based on their response to an offer made. This can be seen in Sodom, the even of the Exodus, Noah and His family, and the climactic example is the day in which we live where we are told in countless examples that God will personally investigate to see who is sincere in his or her motives and truly desires eternal life.

Judgment is the issue and we should be surprised because the basis of the very last deception will be on the issue of God being fair…his character…his law and we will see again the issue where this thing all began on the earth…back to the garden…back to the lie that says ‘you shall be as gods…knowing good and evil. For clarity, here is a powerful statement:

It is true that Spiritualism is now changing its form, and, veiling some of its more objectionable features, is assuming a Christian guise. But its utterances from the platform and the press have been before the public for nearly forty years, and in these its real character stands revealed. These teachings cannot be denied or hidden. {GC88 558.1}

Even in its present form, so far from being more worthy of toleration than formerly, it is really a more dangerous, because a more subtle deception. While it formerly denounced Christ and the Bible, it now professes to accept both. But the Bible is interpreted in a manner that is pleasing to the unrenewed heart, while its solemn and vital truths are made of no effect. Love is dwelt upon as the chief attribute of God, but it is degraded to a weak sentimentalism making little distinction between good and evil. God’s justice, his denunciations of sin, the requirements of his holy law, are all kept out of sight. The people are taught to regard the decalogue as a dead letter. Pleasing, bewitching fables captivate the senses, and lead men to reject the Bible as the foundation of their faith. Christ is as verily denied as before; but Satan has so blinded the eyes of the people that the deception is not discerned. {GC88 558.2}

Why Must Man Work?

The book of Genesis has the answer and it is incredibly simple, yet strikingly profound. God designed life to be incredibly simple. In the book of Genesis Adam’s original role was to be a caretaker of the Garden of Eden (Genesis 2:15). Before the fall of Adam he did not have to toil for his food by the sweat of his brow. God said, “Of every tree in the garden you may freely eat” except one – the tree of the knowledge of good and evil (Genesis 2:16). The principle was that Adam needed to eat to sustain himself, and the trees of the garden yielded their abundance freely. However, after the fall of Adam, even nature fell into disorder; it no longer would produce her edible bounties without man’s input. God told Adam that he would have to work to eat. He said by the sweat of your brow you shall till the soil (Genesis 3:17-19). He gave man work to uplift him from the degradation of sin. Therefore, to eat man must work. This is a rule of life.

Who will we work for is the question. Will you work directly to obtain your food and shelter or will you work indirectly?

“At the creation, labor was appointed as a blessing. It meant development, power, and happiness. The changed condition of the earth through the curse of sin has brought a change in the conditions of labor; yet though now attended with anxiety, weariness, and pain, it is still a source of happiness and development. And it is a safeguard against temptation. Its discipline places a check on self-indulgence, and promotes industry, purity, and firmness. Thus it becomes a part of God’s great plan for our recovery from the fall.” Ed p. 214

“In our labor we are to be workers together with God. He gives us the earth and its treasures; but we must adapt them to our use and comfort. He causes the trees to grow, but we must prepare the timber and build the house. He has hidden in the earth the gold and the silver, the iron and coal; but it is only through toil that we can obtain them.” Ed p.215

The earth is full of free resources that can provide energy in the form of sunlight, wind, water, wood and coal. However, it does not give us free work. We must work and manage the resources that God has provided. On a small plot of land by the sweat of our brow, with our management and oversight, with intelligent agriculture principles one can produce a bountiful abundance of food and energy. The sun is free energy, the water that falls from the sky is free, the streams are free, the soil is free, the animals are free, the food is free all with our management.

“Men were to cooperate with God in restoring the diseased land to health, that it might be a praise and a glory to His name. And as the land they possessed would, if managed with skill and earnestness, produce its treasures, so their hearts, if controlled by God, would reflect His character. In the laws which God gave for the cultivation of the soil, He was giving the people opportunity to overcome their selfishness and become heavenly-minded. Canaan would be to them as Eden if they obeyed the Word of the Lord. Through them the Lord designed to teach all the nations of the world how to cultivate the soil so that it would yield healthy fruit, free from disease. The earth is the Lord’s vineyard, and is to be treated according to His plan. Those who cultivated the soil were to realize that they were doing God service. They were as truly in their lot and place as were the men appointed to minister in the priesthood and in work connected with the tabernacle.” Adventist Commentary volume 1 p.1112

God designed life to be incredibly simple. We were to be caretakers of the garden. After realizing mankind’s relationship to the garden, I now have a new mission in life. I hope to fulfill this mission beginning in Haiti where The Beehive is in the process of acquiring land to start an agricultural school. It is found in the book Education by Ellen White p. 219, 220.

“Let the teacher call attention to what the Bible says about agriculture; that it was God’s plan for man to till the earth; that the first man, the ruler of the whole world, was given a garden to cultivate; and that many of the world’s greatest men, its real nobility, have been tillers of the soil. Show the opportunities in such a life. In the study of agriculture, let the pupils be given not only theory, but practice. While they learn what science can teach in regard to the nature and preparation of the soil, the value of different crops, and the best methods of production, let them put their own knowledge to use. Let the teachers share the work with the students, and show what results can be achieved through skillful, intelligent effort. Thus may be awakened a genuine interest, an ambition to do the work in the best possible manner. Such an ambition, together with the invigorating effect of exercise, sunshine, and pure air, will create a love for agricultural labor that with many youth will determine their choice of an occupation. Thus might be set on foot influences that would go far in turning the tide of migration which now sets so strongly toward the great cities. Thus our schools could aid effectively in the disposition of the unemployed masses. Thousands of helpless and starving beings, whose numbers are daily swelling the ranks of the criminal classes, might achieve self support in a happy, healthy, independent life if they could be directed in skillful, diligent labor in the tilling of the soil.”

The bottom line is that God designed life to be so simple. Adam and Eve were originally appointed as caretakers of the garden. After they ate of the forbidden fruit they had to then work for their food; we must work for our food. God has given us work for a reason; it is to uplift us from the degradation of sin. The work of growing ones own food in a garden can provide a happy, healthy independent life. It can do the same for the thousands of unemployed masses and it can do the same for the helpless and starving classes in third world countries.

What should education look like?

I have been studying as of late the ideas as to what education should look like. The Bible foretold in Revelation 12:17 that at the very end of time, God would send the prophetic gift to His church one last time. That was fulfilled with a woman named Ellen White in the mid to late 1800′s. She wrote extensively about many things but one thing that was heavily emphasized in a number of places was the object of education.

She actually calls the education that God blesses as ‘True Education’. True education is the harmonious development of the physical, the mental, and the spiritual powers of man. In fact the object of this true education is for greater joy in service in this life and even more joy and wider service in the life to come.

To restore in man the image of his Maker, to bring him back [BEGIN P.16] to the perfection in which he was created, to promote the development of body, mind, and soul, that the divine purpose in his creation might be realized–this was to be the work of redemption. This is the object of education, the great object of life. {Ed 15.2}

Love, the basis of creation and of redemption, is the basis of true education. This is made plain in the law that God has given as the guide of life. The first and great commandment is, “Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy strength, and with all thy mind.” Luke 10:27. To love Him, the infinite, the omniscient One, with the whole strength, and mind, and heart, means the highest development of every power. It means that in the whole being– the body, the mind, as well as the soul–the image of God is to be restored. {Ed 16.1}

Like the first is the second commandment–”Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself.” Matthew 22:39. The law of love calls for the devotion of body, mind, and soul to the service of God and our fellow men. And this service, while making us a blessing to others, brings the greatest blessing to ourselves. Unselfishness underlies all true development. Through unselfish service we receive the highest culture of every faculty. More and more fully do we become partakers of the divine nature. We are fitted for heaven, for we receive heaven into our hearts. {Ed 16.2}

—I am sad to say that the movement that God awakened in 1844 has walked away from this goal of education. I pray that we will get back to the message of what God intended. There are small schools around the world trying to be faithful to the object of true education. May God bless those schools abundantly. For the many other schools that make up the majority, may God impress upon the leadership to get back to what God can bless.

The Ripening Harvest

There is much talk as of late about rising food prices. We even featured a story a few days ago here on Presenttruth.com. The interest was so great that we decided to post another article that goes further in depth. As we are witnessing all of the revolting going on in the middle east and northern Africa, we see countries with soaring food prices that are drastically throwing their way of life into a tail spin.

God told us this time would come long ago. In Matthew 24, we are told that famines would be a sign of the end. I wonder though if this is different than previous times.

I went and began looking for historical evidence of past uprisings and ‘Revolutions’ and I found something most fascinating. Many wonder if there are ‘ingredients’ to revolution and I believe there are. We may be on the verge of Revolution even in the United States.

Here is some words to consider:

History always repeats: The reasons for the French Revolution: Rising Food costs, failed harvests due to eradicate weather patterns, too much money invested in foreign wars which increased national debt, and a looming financial crisis…This sounds all too familiar with the United States does it not?

So we can see throughout the world rising food prices. I just finished a book entited ‘World on the Edge’ by Lester R. Brown and it showed beyond a shadow of a doubt that the greatest crisis that we face is not ‘peak oil’ but peak water. The world is running out of water and this is causing major food shortages around the globe. He made the statement that we are ‘one failed harvest away from global chaos’.

We should not be surprised as we were told this would take place. Here are the words foretelling this many years ago:

While appearing to the children of men as a great physician who can heal all their maladies, he will bring disease and disaster, until populous cities are reduced to ruin and desolation. Even now he is at work. In accidents and calamities by sea and by land, in great conflagrations, in fierce [BEGIN P.590] tornadoes and terrific hailstorms, in tempests, floods, cyclones, tidal waves, and earthquakes, in every place and in a thousand forms, Satan is exercising his power. He sweeps away the ripening harvest, and famine and distress follow. He imparts to the air a deadly taint, and thousands perish by the pestilence. These visitations are to become more and more frequent and disastrous. Destruction will be upon both man and beast. “The earth mourneth and fadeth away,” “the haughty people . . . do languish. The earth also is defiled under the inhabitants thereof; because they have transgressed the laws, changed the ordinance, broken the everlasting covenant.” Isaiah 24:4, 5. {GC 589.3}

May I suggest that not only is Satan sweeping away the literal harvests of the earth but also the many souls that should have heard a warning message long before now that may never hear it.

Also:

Again and again the Lord has instructed that our people are to take their families away from the cities, into the country, where they can raise their own provisions; for in the future the problem of buying and selling will be a very serious one. We should now begin to heed the instruction given us over and over again: Get out of the cities into rural districts, where the houses are not crowded closely together, and where you will be free from the interference of enemies.—Letter 5, 1904. – {CL 9.5}

We are told a time of famine is coming on the earth and the question is are we prepared for this time? We should be so that we can be ministers to others in need rather than in need of ministering to.

The Last Year on Earth- 2011 or 2012? [Jared here to voice my opinion]

I want to begin by saying that I am grateful for each person that visits Presenttruth.com. It was started over 4 years ago now and has always been a joy to see the interaction with you as a reader and the content that is put onto the site. It was started with the purpose of sharing free sermons online. It has since become more of a place for unique content that I hope is not found on other sites.

My background is business and so it was my original thought to build up traffic and generate funds via advertisers. We do have a few advertisers but it is more of a personal joy to fund the site and servers than anything else.

As we enter a new year, I wanted to share what was on my heart just so you as a reader may know what keeps this site going. First off, it was started with an emphasis on lots of issues relating to ‘Last Day Events’. Over the past few years I have been driven to more deeply understand what has held up the second coming for over 150 years and in a greater extent, what has withheld the second coming for over 2000 years since the death of Christ.

I can say with confidence that Christ loves His people. I now understand He loves those that do not even love Him…yet. What do I mean by that? I think we have yet to see the real, living, breathing personal gospel go to the whole world. Christianity has in essence been the worst enemy of Bible Truth. I mean, let’s face it, the majority of ‘Christians’ do not read their Bibles and a large percentage of those that do, do not believe the Bible can be taken literally. I have lived in this camp much of my life- a grade A hypocrite. The idea of a 6-day literal creation, the young age of the earth at 6000 years, a 7th day Sabbath and that the Law of God is actually still an issue.

I have seen some crazy stuff as you have over the past few years in regards to what many have deemed ‘ The end of the world’. We are here and the world has not ended yet. I think we are primed for what God has called ‘an overwhelming surprise’. This world is ready for deception. Just look to Hollywood and you will see all of the ingredients for the coming of Lucifer onto the earth via the foundation of spriritualism. One day very soon we are going to see the apostles return to refute what they wrote 2000 years ago. We are told that we will see even heathen gods show up to deceive the world.

All things are now ready. So what do we do. We don’t panic, but we take a real assessment. Are you closer to the Lord now than a year ago? To get a true answer, ask your spouse, kids, brother, sister, parents etc. Those directly around you can be honest to tell you whether you are more godly or Christlike than 12 months ago.

You should know that answer but it would be great to ask your loved ones the truth. The truth is that this universe is waiting for a true demonstration that God can have a people that fully trust Him and will hold nothing back from Him. It is not so much are we willing to die for Christ but are we willing to live for Him? The millions of martyrs have shown the universe that people are willing to die for God. Have they seen a group willing to fully live for Him?

I challenge you in this year to treat it like it will be the last one we have on this earth. Below are a few videos that I found interesting. One is on the cities of our world and what life is like around the world. I found it invigorating that there is a world out there with no clue on what the Truth is. I just read that in 1900 there were 2 Billion people on earth…today we are nearing 7 Billion. May God help us reach them so that He can save them and give them Peace.

The other video is from the man who makes many upset but his video is most fascinating. He is being impressed by some spirit of what is soon to take place. Now is not a time to fear but to prepare for what is soon to break upon this world as an overwhelming surprise.

I have struggled lately with the idea that many will die ‘deceived’. The truth is though that Eve was deceived in the very beginning and lost paradise.

As cliche and stale as it may sound, let’s do something crazy this year. Let’s go back to our Bible’s and study so that we can really know what we believe. Also I am taking the challenge to pray for at least 30 minutes every day. Prayer is the license God needs to intercede in the middle of this War of Good and Evil.

Lastly, beware of the news and study Bible Prophecy with a fresh perspective ready to learn perhaps old truths for the first time. I am personally studying the old testament sanctuary so that I can more fully understand the book of Revelation. I believe there are secrets it holds to unlocking Prophecy.

The practical principle that I hope to implement more than ever before this year is to live out the principles of Isaiah 58 and Matthew 25. I want to really seek out those in need and help them. I challenge you to do the same.

As for 2011 or 2012 being the last year on earth. Well it may be for any one of us. We can hasten the return of God and I am ready to get to work to do just that. Join me

Bible Prophecy and the Destruction of the Cities of the earth…This will blow your mind

I was blown away by what you area about to read. God is revealing things at a pace I have never seen in my life. Please let me know your response to the statements below:

MR No. 1518 – Locate Sanitariums Away From the Cities

(Written May 10, 1906, from Sanitarium, California, to the Doctors Kress. Selections from this manuscript have appeared in Manuscript Releases 435, 714, and 787.)

We have your recent letter. I need not wait for reflection before saying that I believe the best plan is that of first strengthening the work in Adelaide. The climate is more healthful, and the spiritual atmosphere much more favorable than that of Melbourne. This is the way that the matter has been presented to me, but I hoped you would decide the matter from your own judgment. I believe that after placing the whole matter before the Lord, the brethren will come to a harmonious decision. The Lord understands all our necessities. {21MR 90.1}

The outlook for establishing a sanitarium at Adelaide is much more favorable than the outlook for establishing one at Melbourne. The city of Melbourne is not the place to establish a sanitarium. It has been plainly presented to me that the sanitarium which you are planning to establish should be located in the most healthful place you can secure. But my warning is that of the angel who, standing in Melbourne, said in a clear, distinct voice, Establish not schools or sanitariums in the cities. In the future, cities will certainly feel the terrible results of earthquakes and fires. Cities will be destroyed by flood and by lightnings. Out of the cities, is my message at this time. {21MR 90.2}

Be assured that the call is for our people to locate miles away from the large cities. One look at San Francisco as it is today would speak to your intelligent minds, showing you the necessity of getting out of the cities. Do not establish institutions in the cities, but seek a rural location. The call is, “Come out from among them, and be ye separate.” The very atmosphere of the city is polluted. Let your schools be established away from the cities, where agricultural and other industries can be carried on. {21MR 90.3}

The Lord calls for His people to locate away from the cities, for in such an hour as ye think not, fire and brimstone will be rained from heaven upon these cities. Proportionate to their sins will be their visitation. When one city is destroyed, let not our people regard this matter as a light affair, and think that they may, if favorable opportunity offers, build themselves homes in that same destroyed city. {21MR 90.4}

Great precautions were taken to make everything in San Francisco secure against earthquakes, floods, and fires, yet today that great city is lying a mass of debris. Where is there one who, seeing this, can fail to reason from cause to effect? {21MR 90.5}

A few days ago we passed by the great costly Stanford University. Many of its buildings now lie in ruins. {21MR 91.1}

Yesterday, on our way home from Mountain View, we stopped to take a view of the destruction in San Francisco. Notwithstanding some of the buildings were of the most stable kind and were supposed to be proof against disaster, the city is a ruin. In some places the buildings are sunken into the ground. This city presents a most powerful picture of the inefficiency of human devising and human skill to withstand the carrying out of the Lord’s mandate. {21MR 91.2}

For our people to begin commercial enterprises in such a place will be to soothe the fears of those to whom they will come with the Bible message of truth. {21MR 91.3}

Let all who would understand the meaning of these things read the eleventh chapter of Revelation. Read every verse, and learn the things that are yet to take place in the cities. Read also the scenes portrayed in the eighteenth chapter of the same book. {21MR 91.4}

“And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, Come out of her, My people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues.” It will not be to the credit of any who believe the word of the prophecies of this book to ignore the special indications of God, and show indifference in regard to this wonderful display of the power of God because of the sins of this city recently destroyed. The Lord forbid that those who have witnessed this great destruction shall make light of the matter and flatter themselves that in the future they will have buildings far in advance of any buildings they have yet had. For if those who have felt the rebuke of God shall set themselves defiantly to invest their means as they have done, God will exercise His power to counteract their efforts. This calamity calls for men who have abused their privileges and taken advantage of their fellow men, to make amends for the wrong they have done. The Lord has spoken. Will men hear His voice? {21MR 91.5}

Let not a mammoth sanitarium be built in any place. If there are large buildings miles away from the cities, that in the providence of God are offered at a price much below their value, and if you see the evidence of God’s hand in this, work judiciously to obtain possession of these buildings. {21MR 91.6}

Let your sanitariums be conducted by physicians and ministers who are in harmony with the light God has been giving to His people for the last half century. Place not men in positions of holy office who will not listen to God’s counsel concerning His way and His will. There are influences working mightily against the very work God requires to be done. The time has come when the Lord’s name is to be magnified in all your camp meetings. Every soul must now draw in even cords. Unbelief has taken possession of men who have been warned in regard to the seducing influence of Satan’s working and the methods of his work, yet who have taken no heed. They are of the party that will give heed to seducing spirits and doctrines of devils. Where is this party that will depart from the faith? Consider this. Do not place in charge of your important work or even of the less important enterprises, those who will lead minds away from the truth which is to decide the destiny of souls. {21MR 91.7}

Our Lord has the power that must be recognized by our people. God calls for unity in conformity to His expressed will. The flock of God should be watched that they shall not be led into false paths. Unite with no human influence that is not in agreement with the truth of God which has stood the test for half a century. {21MR 92.1}

In conclusion I would say, Let not Brethren James and Semmens wait for new developments in Melbourne. Take hold at Adelaide, and lay your plans wisely.–Letter 158, 1906.

Interested in doing God’s work full time? Some insights on self-supporting work

There is a large field open before the self-supporting gospel worker. Many may gain valuable experiences in ministry while toiling a portion of the time at some form of manual labor, and by this method strong workers may be developed for important service in needy fields.

The self-sacrificing servant of God who labors untiringly in word and doctrine, carries on his heart a heavy burden. He does not measure his work by hours. His wages do not influence him in his labor, nor is he turned from his duty because of unfavorable conditions. From heaven he received his commission, and to heaven he looks for his recompense when the work entrusted to him is done.

It is God’s design that such workers shall be freed from unnecessary anxiety, that they may have full opportunity to obey the injunction of Paul to Timothy, “Meditate upon these things; give thyself wholly to them.” 1 Timothy 4:15. While they should be careful to exercise sufficiently to keep mind and body vigorous, yet it is not God’s plan that they should be compelled to spend a large part of their time at secular employment.

These faithful workers, though willing to spend and be spent for the gospel, are not exempt from temptation. When hampered and burdened with anxiety because of a failure on the part of the church to give them proper financial support, some are fiercely beset by the tempter. When they see their labors so lightly prized, they become depressed. True, they look forward to the time of the judgment for their just award, and this buoys them up; but meanwhile their families must have food and clothing. If they could feel that they were released from their divine commission they would willingly labor with their hands. But they realize that their time belongs to God, notwithstanding the shortsightedness of those who should provide them with sufficient funds. They rise above the temptation to enter into pursuits by which they could soon place themselves beyond the reach of want, and they continue to labor for the advancement of the cause that is dearer to them than life itself. In order to do this, they may, however, be forced to follow the example of Paul and engage for a time in manual labor while continuing to carry forward their ministerial work. This they do to advance not their own interests, but the interests of God’s cause in the earth.

There are times when it seems to the servant of God impossible to do the work necessary to be done, because of the lack of means to carry on a strong, solid work. Some are fearful that with the facilities at their command they cannot do all that they feel it their duty to do. But if they advance in faith, the salvation of God will be revealed, and prosperity will attend their efforts. He who has bidden His followers go into all parts of the world will sustain every laborer who in obedience to His command seeks to proclaim His message.

In the upbuilding of His work the Lord does not always make everything plain before His servants. He sometimes tries the confidence of His people by bringing about circumstances which compel them to move forward in faith. Often He brings them into strait and trying places, and bids them advance when their feet seem to be touching the waters of Jordan. It is at such times, when the prayers of His servants ascend to Him in earnest faith, that God opens the way before them and brings them out into a large place.

When God’s messengers recognize their responsibilities toward the needy portions of the Lord’s vineyard, and in the spirit of the Master Worker labor untiringly for the conversion of souls, the angels of God will prepare the way before them, and the means necessary for the carrying forward of the work will be provided. Those who are enlightened will give freely to support the work done in their behalf. They will respond liberally to every call for help, and the Spirit of God will move upon their hearts to sustain the Lord’s cause not only in the home fields, but in the regions beyond. Thus strength will come to the working forces in other places, and the work of the Lord will advance in His own appointed way.

The Blueprint School-The secrets to heaven ordained education

As many of you are aware, Presenttruth.com is now a ministry under the banner of The Beehive. The Beehive has a great vision to do some vitally important tasks in the very crucial time in which we live. For more info on The Beehive go to www.TheBeehives.org.

One of the projects of The Beehive is to build ‘Blueprint’ schools/health resorts around the world to train students for the great work before us. Below is an account from Jonathan Euler from India. We have been working to get up and running a blueprint school that long ago was in operation. For nearly a year now, Jon has been the leader of this great renovation project. We are now ready to open the school and need a few more blessings from God, the biggest being approval from the government.

We need your help in a number of ways. Please pray for this project that it will be a state of the art school for training workers to spread the gospel and be leaders in the far east. We found another school not too far away (10 hours ) that is already in operation but with only 10 acres. We have the potential to work on hundreds of acres in an Eden like environment. We went to get ideas and see what was going on. We are planning on basing the entire program on agriculture.

When I first was given the idea to go visit a school near Calcutta I was not very excited. I started making excuses in my mind: it is too far away, I don’t have time to go, it will cost money that could be used here, and so on. I thought that it would just be another Adventist school that had lost its vision and was following the ways of the world. I could not have been more wrong. Visiting Springs Of Life has changed my entire outlook on education. I have seen the future for the Adventist church. Super soldiers for Christ’s end time army are being trained right now. The children at this blueprint school are going to wake up this sleeping church and carry it till the end of time. They will be the ones that finish Gods work on this earth.

LAYOUT

The school has four main buildings: church, dorms, administration, and staff housing/classrooms. The church is well built with steel support beams and a cement roof. The dormitory has the boys on the first floor and the girls on the second. At the end of the dorms is the kitchen and cafeteria. The administration building has a nice board room/library, clinic, two guest rooms, three staff housing, and main office, all on the second floor. On the first floor are vocational training classrooms for welding, and tailoring, with additional rooms for storage of supplies. Each of the buildings has been painted with top of the line weather seal paint to fight against mold in this high humidity area. The paint is five years old and looks great. They have built each building to last, using western techniques. They use energy saving light bulbs in all fixtures, and sprinklers are used to water the plants. The school buildings are surrounded by an eight-foot brick wall with shards of glass at the top to prevent intruders. There is one gate with a guard house on the inside equipped with electricity and a ceiling fan. The guard is at his post 24/7. The main gate is about 10 feet high and the front wall is about 15 feet. Outside of the walls is farmland that is planted with seasonal crops. The school has a total of 10 acres of land with about two inside the walls. They are located 15 minutes from a small town and 45 minutes from Calcutta where they can get whatever supplies they need.

STUDENTS

The children at Springs Of Life are being trained like a father would train his own son. The teachers are using Christ’s loving example to guide their minds instead of a bamboo rod to force their bodies to obey. When you approach a child they greet you like a friend. They all speak English and quickly answer any question asked with a smile. Their minds are sharp and active. They have a strong knowledge of the Bible and come to worship on time completely on their own. They come to church with their own Bibles, songbooks, and journals for taking notes. Small boys have songs I have never even heard, memorized. They can quote memory verses and preach without preparation. Even the smallest children share with each other and don’t fight. One morning I was having breakfast in the cafeteria and I sat with the small boys. A jar of peanut butter was on the table and there was only a small amount left. One boy picked up the jar and told another boy that he should really have some peanut butter. He handed the bigger boy the jar and his hands were too large to fit inside to get out the last bit of butter. So the smaller boy put his hands inside the jar and got out the butter and gave it to the other boy. Sharing is not a common trait here in India - neither is helping one another, yet these small boys have learned both at a young age. Several other times during my stay I saw the students sharing resources and helping one another. The school teaches grades one to eight with a free study program after class eight. The courses include agriculture, welding, woodshop, electrical, baking, and tailoring. When something breaks the kids fix it whether it be a bed, a light, or someone’s shoes. There are about 140 students with about 65 boys and 75 girls. They have more life knowledge than most high school graduates.

TEACHERS

At the time of my visit Springs Of Life had two female teachers from the states that were at the end of a two-year volunteer contract. The other teachers including the principal were all from the surrounding area. The teachers treat the students like their own kids. The students visit the teachers in their homes and learn from them at all hours of the day. All of the teacher’s personal resources are given to the students for use, including cameras and computers. They work together like one big family.

CAFETERIA

The students mainly operate the cafeteria. The students grow the crops and then sell them to the cafeteria for consumption by the students and teachers and everyone eats together. The food served is a balanced diet the way Christ intended, fruits everyday, a wide variety of vegetables, home made peanut butter, whole grain rice made at the school, whole grain breads of different types. Each student is in charge of his or her own plate; they wash it after each meal and keep it in their room. The students serve themselves the amount of food that they need so they can get as little or as much as they want. This process teaches responsibility and saves on waste. Nothing is wasted; all left over food is put in bins and then taken to a composting area. One day a student came into the office and asked if she could make cake for Sabbath. The answer was yes so she just went into the kitchen and made cake for a hundred people, amazing. Another thing that really impressed me is the fact that there is soap at every sink. Everyone uses it, no one takes the soap for other purposes, it actually stays at the sink and people use it, amazing.

LEGAL

The school has been set up as a trust. A TRUST is defined as any arrangement where property is to be held and administered by a trustee for the benefit of those for whom the trust was created. Depending on the type and how it is established, a trust may be revocable (changeable) or irrevocable (not changeable). They have written the trust agreement with India in such away that allows for future expansion. There is a trustee that changes every three years and the board is made up of all local people. The officers serve a one-year term and each year one third of the board members come up for re-election.

RECOMMENDATIONS

The administration of Springs Of Life has done an amazing job with the land that they have. I would love to see the school with more land so that they can expand and have more room to plant. When I asked Jacob what has been a major factor in the operation of a blueprint school his response was location, location, location. Where the school is located seams to be the most important issue with a school of this nature. How the government feels about missionaries is important as well as how the community feels about their neighbors being Christian. It is tough to be close enough to the city to be able to get to the hospital and to purchase needed supplies but at the same time to be far enough away from the city to have your privacy. A secluded location in the mountains would be the best. Something that is completely self supporting, running on generators with a doctor on site at all times.

FINAL THOUGHTS

On the way to Springs Of Life my plan was to get in and get out. To stop for a few hours and take pictures, ask questions, and make a report. After seeing the property, meeting the students and teachers, I did not want to leave. I could see the hand of God working in all areas of the school. The students were actually happy. I have never seen a school like this one. I wish that all of our schools could be more like this one. Training young men and women to finish Gods work on this earth. Physical and Mental Training to Be Combined: “The education to be gained in the felling of trees, the tilling of the soil, and the erection of buildings, as well as the studies of the classroom, is what our youth should seek to obtain. Tent making also should be taught. Buildings should be erected, and masonry should be learned. Farther on, a printing press should be connected with the school, that an education may be given to students in this line of work.” {11MR180.3}

Ladies: “There are many things which lady students may also engage in, such as cooking, dressmaking, and gardening. Plants and flowers should be cultivated, strawberries should be planted, thus the lady students may be called out-of-doors to gain healthful exercise, and to be educated in useful labor. Fresh Produce Is of Special Value.–Families and institutions should learn to do more in the cultivation and improvement of land. If people only knew the value of the products of the ground, which the earth brings forth in their season, more diligent efforts would be made to cultivate the soil. Wise plans are to be laid for the cultivation of the land. The students are to be given a practical education in agriculture. This education will be of inestimable value to them in their future work. Thorough work is to be done in cultivating the land, and from this the students are to learn how necessary it is to do thorough work in cultivating the garden of the heart. {RH, September 1, 1904 par. 8}

And whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men; knowing that of the Lord ye shall receive the reward of the inheritance: for ye serve the Lord Christ. Col. 3:23, 24. {TMK 333.1}

The Lord requires the physical strength, and you can reveal your love for Him by the right use of your physical powers, doing the very work which needs to be done. There is no respect of persons with God…. {TMK 333.2}

There is science in the humblest kind of work, and if all would thus regard it, they would see nobility in labor. Heart and soul are to be put into work of any kind; then there is cheerfulness and efficiency. In agricultural and mechanical occupations, men may give evidence to God that they appreciate His gift in the physical powers, and the mental faculties as well. “Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength” (Mark 12:30). God desires the love that is expressed in heart service, in soul service, in the service of the physical powers. We are not to be dwarfed in any kind of service for God. Whatever He has lent us is to be used intelligently for Him. . . . There is need of intelligence and educated ability to devise the best methods in farming, in building, and in every other department, that the worker may not labor in vain. . . . {TMK 333.4}

It is the duty of every worker not merely to give his strength but his mind and intellect to that which he undertakes to do. . . . You can choose to become stereotyped in a wrong course of action because you have not the determination to take yourselves in hand and reform, or you may cultivate your powers to do the very best kind of service, and then you will find yourselves in demand anywhere and everywhere. When Christ came to the earth, humanity seemed to be fast reaching its lowest point. The very foundations of society were undermined. Life had become false and artificial. The Jews, destitute of the power of God’s word, gave to the world mind-benumbing, soul-deadening traditions and speculations. The worship of God “in Spirit and in truth” had been supplanted by the glorification of men in an endless round of man-made ceremonies. Throughout the world all systems of religion were losing their hold on mind and soul. Disgusted with fable and falsehood, seeking to drown thought, men turned to infidelity and materialism. Leaving eternity out of their reckoning, they lived for the present. – {Ed 74.4}

I was so in awe as I read this today. From an old book called ‘Education’. I believe we need a revealing of the character of Christ in 2010. Let’s be real. Christianity as the world knows it today is something I can’t stand. The majority of us are so hypocritical, so judgmental, and fake. The Bible calls this version of the church ‘Babylon’. Now having said that as one who believes in Christian values…imagine how other people view the term Christian. Muslims believe Christians so called are infidels…do I disagree? No. The Bible says that God has followers in other folds or belief systems at this time. It is time we stand up and be different. Our brand is broken. What will our example be going forward. Time to decide. The Universe is waiting

Sabbath takes on a new meaning in New York City

I would like to thank my good friend Pastor MC Shin for sending this out to all of the up and coming group known as Advent Hope Atlanta. Some amazing thoughts on the Sabbath. I am actually in New York City this weekend and will be attending the Advent Hope NYC SDA church this morning. As I have walked around the city the last two days I have read some amazing words from Scripture as well as from a lady by the name of Ellen White who was big into spreading the gospel in the cities of the world back at the turn of the 20th century. She really had a burden to show the love of Christ to the people of New York City.

Amidst the hustle and bustle, I can value the concept of Country Living more than I ever have before. My wife and I desire to have a little eco-tourism farm along with a culinary resort where people can literally come and learn to grow food and then cook it and love it. I can see that being in the middle of the city without the peace and calm of nature that your body can literally wig out. How would I know my Creator if I did not ever see His created works? I don’t see many of His works in the Upper East Side . Christians have failed in reaching the cities of this world and I believe there are secrets to it that we are just now beginning to see implemented via health and the gospel. I am so passionate about The Daniel Challenge (www.TheDanielChallenge.com) and what we can do in NYC and other major cities around the world. The time is now. As you read this, I pray you enjoy your time with God on this day that He desires to spend closer to you than any other day, His Sabbath.

The Lord’s day mentioned by John was the Sabbath, the day on which Jehovah rested after the great work of creation, and which He blessed and sanctified because He had rested upon it. The Sabbath was as sacredly observed by John upon the Isle of Patmos as when he was among the people, preaching upon that day. By the barren rocks surrounding him, John was reminded of rocky Horeb, and how, when God spoke His law to the people there, He said, “Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy.”
The Son of God spoke to Moses from the mountaintop. God made the rocks His sanctuary. His temple was the everlasting hills. The Divine Legislator descended upon the rocky mountain to speak His law in the hearing of all the people, that they might be impressed by the grand and awful exhibition of His power and glory, and fear to transgress His commandments. . . . The law of Jehovah was unchangeable, and the tablets upon which He wrote that law were solid rock, signifying the immutability of His precepts. Rocky Horeb became a sacred spot to all who loved and revered the law of God.
While John was contemplating the scenes of Horeb, the Spirit of Him who sanctified the seventh day, came upon him. He contemplated the sin of Adam in transgressing the divine law, and the fearful results of that transgression. The infinite love of God, in giving His Son to redeem a lost race, seemed too great for language to express. As he presents it in his epistle, he calls upon the church and the world to behold it.
All who regard the Sabbath as a sign between them and God . . . will represent the principles of His government. They will bring into daily practice the laws of His kingdom. Daily it will be their prayer that the sanctification of the Sabbath may rest upon them. – from the book My Life Today, p259. -

Was Christ Really Like Us?

I have had the pleasure as of late of really trying to dig to the bottom of an issue that at first I did not really understand. I am sure you have heard of the two great divisions in the Christian world on our Soteriology. Soteriology is the study of how one is saved. There is Calvinism and Arminianism. Calvinism in essence states that we are predestined to be saved and that once we are saved we will always be saved. God is too merciful that any of us should be lost. Calvinism I propose takes away my choice to choose things other than God. Most of Christians so-called today are Calvinists.

The other side of the equation is called Arminianism. This is a small minority of Christianity that hold to the idea that we do have free choice and we can choose to be lost or choose to be saved. Free-Choice is at this belief’s core.

I wondered for a while if these were the great divide in our churches and in Christianity today. But, I believe these are the fruit of a deeper issue.

I honestly and truly believe that the underlying divide in Christianity today is based on how we view Jesus Christ. Our Christology is the view on the work and way/how in which Christ came to this earth. Why did He come? For only one purpose or multiple reasons? Based on if you believe Christ was like us as Romans 8:3 says, will you be able to see how he can relate with you and your trials. If He had no power above what we have access to, then He is our example as the bible clearly shows.

Not only did Christ come to pay the penalty of sin, but He also came to answer the question of the Great Controversy: that the foundation of the government of God was legit: The Law of God. He kept it in it’s entirety and was tempted throughout His life and NEVER FAILED. HE WAS SINLESS. What an amazing example of what a life can be if fully submitted to the Father.

This is the issue at the core of division in Christianity today. Until we figure this out, we will never be able to really share an end-time message with the world. You see, this issue directly relates with Justification by Faith and how we believe we are saved. How we believe we are saved is directly related to our end time view of world events.

Our Christology is the foundation for our Soteriology. Our Soteriology is the foundation for our Eschatology. Our Eschatology is the basis for why we still wait on this earth for Christ to return and end this Great Controversy. Until we find out the root of the issue, we will wait…and so will Christ.

Study this issue for yourself. You need to have a biblical answer. Here are some texts that have helped me along the way.

There is a parable in the Bible about the Lost Sheep: Luke 15

³ So He spoke this parable to them, saying:
⁴ “What man of you, having a hundred sheep, if he loses one of them, does not leave the ninety-nine in the wilderness, and go after the one which is lost until he finds it? ⁵ And when he has found it, he lays it on his shoulders, rejoicing. ⁶ And when he comes home, he calls together his friends and neighbors, saying to them, ‘Rejoice with me, for I have found my sheep which was lost!’ ⁷ I say to you that likewise there will be more joy in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine just persons who need no repentance.

Hebrews 1:2 tells us that Christ is the One who created the worlds. -

¹God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets,

²Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds;

I had never thought about how many worlds were created until I read the most interesting statements the other day: You decide.

These were written by a woman by the name of Ellen White, whom Seventh-day Adventists believe demonstrated the gift of prophecy during her life:

This really jumped out at me. I would love to hear your feedback on if she is possible making an actual application or just emphasizing a point of the parable of the lost sheep.
The Son of God stooped to uplift the fallen. For this He left the sinless worlds on high, the ninety and nine that loved Him, and came to this earth to be “wounded for our transgressions” and “bruised for our iniquities.” Isaiah 53:5. He was in all things made like unto His brethren. He became flesh, even as we are. He knew what it meant to be hungry and thirsty and weary. He was sustained by food and refreshed by sleep. He was a stranger and a sojourner on the earth–in the world, but not of the world; tempted and tried as men and women of today are tempted and tried, yet living a life free from sin. Tender, compassionate, sympathetic, ever considerate of others, He represented the character of God. “The Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, . . . full of grace and truth.” John 1:14. And then one of my friends replied with this:

—-Jesus left his high command, laid aside his royal robe and crown, and clothed his divinity with humanity, that he might seek and save the one lost sheep. He did not go to the worlds that had not fallen; he did not fix his eyes on the largest world; but he came to a world cursed by sin. The ninety and nine were his, but he left them to seek the one who had wandered away. He sees a world of sinners, full of guilt and wretchedness. He pities the sinner, sick and in need of a physician. Every one he succeeds in rescuing from the slavery of sin, awakens the greatest joy in the heart of the Redeemer. When the shepherd findeth the sheep, he layeth it on his shoulders rejoicing. That soul, however humble, is of great value in his sight. It was for the joy set before him of saving the lost, that Jesus endured the cross, despising the shame. {RH, March 17, 1896 par. 9}

There are some very simple ways in which to combat the above symptoms and issues. Menopause has a great deal to do with nerves and hormones.

As a woman ages, she needs more water to help cleanse the body of toxins. In fact, hot flashes are perhaps the result of too many toxins in the body at one time.

The 3 Secrets are these:

1. Avoid Sugar

Sugar is robbing from a 40-60 year old woman some of the most vital vitamins and minerals the she needs- Vitamin B and Calcium. These when in adequate supply help for a number of healthy body functions but when low can lead to bone loss, constipation and more. Sugar also reduces the amount of oxygen in the blood and thus increasing the impact of toxins in the body. The body will find a way to get rid of toxins and this typically results in the body saying “Ok, too many toxins…must sweat these out through the largest organ-The Skin.

Here are some more natural sugars that you can use if and when you must:

Agave, Raw Honey, Fruit Sugars, Xylitol, Maple Syrup.

Avoid Chocolate as it is high in sugar as well as high in caffeine which causes major issues with the heart. Did you know that heart attacks among women are on the rise.

2. Exercise

This is a must. It is often said that Exercise covers the multitude of sins Exercise is the only way to cleanse the lymphatic system which is the body’s biggest immune defense system. Exercise also helps with digestion and regularity of bowel movements. You should have at least one bowel movement for every meal that you eat. The list of great things about exercise is endless but here are a few.

-strengthens the heart

-lowers blood pressure

-lowers cholesterol

-strengthens bones

-lifts depression

-relieves anxiety and stress

-improves circulation

3. Proper Hydration- Drink More Water

This is so important and yet most of us are so under hydrated it is scary. Your urine should always be clear. If not, this means your body is recirculating water to cleanse the system and the yellow in the urine is toxins being reused by the body.

Drink more water throughout the day and not all at once. Drink about 1/2 or more of your weight in ounces each day. More if you are sweating and or working out/exercising.

Often times pain can be an indicator for dehydration.

The Body has to rid itself of waste and toxins. There are a few ways in which this happens. Water is a key component in assisting the body to expel itself of toxins and waste.

Bowel Movements

America is Constipated! This is why we sell Exlax and Zantac by the truck loads.

What an exciting topic to address. Who doesn’t love a bowel movement?

We should have a BM just as often as we eat. If we eat 3 times per day, we should have 3 BM’s per day.

Physiology:

Cytoplasm must dump toxins or (vacuoles) into the waste system and if there is not BM, then they are reabsorbed. Also if the fecal matter is not expelled as quickly as it should then, it is likely that tiny particles of fecal matter will be reabsorbed into the portal vien system of the Liver and then goes back into the blood stream and into the cells.

There is something called ‘Transit Time’. This refers to the amount of time your body digests something. It should be 24 hours. For example, if you eat dinner this evening, then tomorrow night when you eat dinner again, you should expel the dinner that you ate tonight. You should never have more than 3 meals in your stomach at any one time.

There are a few ways to check your own ‘Transit Time’. You can take 2 TBSP of Charcoal that you can get from Whole Foods or any health food store. Take it on an empty stomach ( it has not taste and is actually a purifying agent used in many hospitals when cases come in with severe drug overdose) Some even take it when they have nausea or food poisoning. Count how long it takes for you to see that your stool is blackened by the charcoal. Transit time will not be when you first see black but when you no longer see it after you have seen it for the first time. This will be your transit time.

The average transit time around the world looks like this:

Africa- 36 hours

Australia-48 hours

USA- 72 hours

LYMPHATIC SYSTEM:

The lymph system which includes your tonsils, lymph, spleen, appendix has only one way in which to cleanse the waste it has: Exercise. Lymph gets backed up when the colon is clogged.

How do I change my desires from loving sin to loving God?

In the battle between good and evil that began over 6000 years ago there has been an accusation that Lucifer has thrown at God. Satan says that God’s law is not fair. Satan says that no one can keep God’s law and therefore God is unfair for having such a law. Satan has for over 6000 years thrown this in the face of God.

To answer Satan’s claims, God will have to present evidence to the court of the universe that His Law is fair and that humans can and will one day soon choose to love Him enough to obey His law no matter if it costs them even their lives.

This demonstration has had a few examples here and there in history. We can see Noah, Enoch, and Job and perhaps even Daniel but we have never seen a group of people that would prove beyond a shadow of a doubt that they unitedly agree with God and believe His Law to be just and fair and that He is worthy of us honoring Him by obeying Him.

The truth though is that we lost our defenses long ago in a garden. We daily must ask God to give us enmity towards evil and a desire for Good. We cannot muster these feelings out of our own inner parts. To make it more clear, this statement clarifies:

The grace that Christ implants in the soul creates the enmity against Satan. Without this converting grace and renewing power, man would continue the captive of Satan, a servant ever ready to do his bidding. But the new principle in the soul creates conflict where hitherto had been peace. The power which Christ imparts, enables man to resist the tyrant and usurper. Whoever is seen to abhor sin instead of loving it, whoever resists and conquers those passions that have held sway within, displays the operation of a principle wholly from above. {4SP 325.2}

The same enmity is manifested toward Christ’s followers as was manifested toward their Master. Whoever sees the repulsive character of sin, and, in strength from above, resists temptation, will assuredly arouse the wrath of Satan and his subjects. {4SP 326.1}

In my opinion, what the above makes clear is that you cannot hate evil or lack that deep down desire to sin without Christ giving it to you. We need to pray that God will literally implant in us a hatred for evil. We need also to plead with God for a love for good. It is not natural for us to all of the sudden stop loving sin and the pleasures of this world. This is why we even need Christ before we can experience true repentance.

If you are struggling with sins that are making you feel like you don’t know how you will overcome them then you need to be of good courage and know that God is standing by ready to help you. Tell Him you can’t help but love evil and that in order for you to stop loving evil you need Him to implant in you a hatred for it. We should do all we know how to resist evil and to avoid circumstances where we know there will be temptation and pray that God will help us. The most important thing though is to get on your knees and be honest with God and ask Him to give you the enmity for sin like He has. He will do this. I can testify to this in my own life. He also will give you a love for things like prayer, bible study, serving others and the list goes on.

Was Ellen G. White a Modern-day Prophet? If not, God does not Exist [VIDEO]

There are many in the world today who are questioning the existence of God. I mean after all the world is falling apart all around us with earthquakes, famine, rumors of war etc. I personally have only one way to believe in God. I believe in Him because of what the Bible has told me about Him. I cannot trust the Bible unless I can prove that it is valid. The only way that I personally can show that the Bible is true is through Prophecy.

The Bible clearly shows in the book of Daniel as well as Isaiah, Jeremiah, Ezekiel and other books of the fall of Jerusalem and the rise of the kingdom of Babylon. As we can then read in Daniel 2, we can see that God shows a heathen king the future of the world.

The Prophecies in Daniel without a doubt layout all of the events that would unfold until the end of time. We then can see that the apostle John picks up where Daniel left off and adds greater clarity to the book of Daniel. History validates that the bible can be trusted. Prophecy is God’s way of showing that He is the only one that can foretell the future.

Having said all of that, I believe that God’s Word is trustworthy. I believe that sometime after 1798 or the Time of the End as Daniel describes that God would raise up a group He calls the Remnant in Revelation 12:17. Why does this have to be after 1798? It is because before 1798 there was no group who had the characteristics of the Remnant which are 1. Keep all of the 10 commandments and 2. Have represented among them The Testimony of Jesus Christ or as Revelation 19:10 further describes it as ‘The Spirit of Prophecy”. To be even more clear, the Remnant would have the gift of prophecy demonstrated among them.

There were 3 groups who arose around the time of 1844 which marks the final phase of the plan of salvation, the long awaited answer of the Great Controversy, the cleansing of the Most Holy Place of the Heavenly Sanctuary. Those groups were the Bahai Faith, The church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, and the Seventh-day Adventist Church.

The Bible shows that a remnant or a last piece of the original church that Christ, Himself, had begun in 27AD would be represented on the earth. The only one of the groups above that profess to keep the original 10 commandments as well as had a person among them that passes the tests of a biblical prophet is the Seventh-day Adventist Church.

No other group on the earth can meet the 2 characteristics of The Remnant as described in Revelation 12:17.

Why does this all matter?

Here’s why: I know of men and women that are currently members of the Seventh-day Adventist church that do not believe that Ellen White was a prophet. Then there are others that think it doesn’t matter. They disregard anything she wrote. Let me tell you something very important and I pray that my words are taken and understood in a spirit of love and you knowing as the reader that I have a burden for every soul that reads this article.

If God foretold that in the end of time, He would raise up a special group to do a special work and that He would cleanse the Sanctuary once and for all and put an end to sin, then this prophecy of the Remnant is very important because they play the main role in the last scene of this earth’s history.

If you desire to be among the group that God will soon return for, there will be only two sides in the last scene of the Bible. There will be those who choose to serve God and join His Remnant and there will be those who choose not to obey and love God and will stand against the Remnant. Only two sides we will have to choose from.

It matters because if either one of the 2 characteristics does not apply to the Church that currently makes up the Remnant, the Seventh-day Adventist Church then guess what…She is not the remnant and we should go look for the Remnant or start a new movement.

Do you realize that the Seventh-day Adventist church is the only group on the earth that rose up at the exact time of the prophecy of Daniel 8:14 at the end of the 2300 days that God said would take place and then a Remnant would arise.

If this church does not profess to keep or strive to obey God in all 10 of the commandments or if the church or your local church for that matter does not believe that Ellen G. White fulfilled the gift of the spirit of prophecy that would be demonstrated as one of the only 2 characteristics of the Remnant, then we are not the Remnant and we should look for another.

If Ellen G. White was not a prophet of God, just like Isaiah, Jeremiah, Moses, Enoch, David, Huldah, Deborah ( I had to drop a few women in there ) and the rest of the one’s who make up the many leaders of the Bible, then if she was not like them, then she is not a prophet and the Seventh-day Adventist Church is not the Remnant. The greatest prophet according to Jesus Himself was John the Baptist. A man that prepared the way for the Advent of Christ. John the Baptist never was the author of book of the Bible yet Jesus says that he was the greatest prophet.

Conclusion:

I believe the Seventh-day Adventist Church absolutely fulfills the characteristics of The Remnant of Revelation 12:17 which was to arise after 1798. I believe that Ellen White was a prophet of God. I believe that if she was not a true prophet then the Seventh-day Adventist church is not The Remnant. If the Church is not The Remnant and I know that the Bahai Faith and Mormonism do not fulfill the characteristics of The Remnant which was to arise after 1798 and seemingly around 1844, then there is no Remnant.

If there is no Remnant, then God has abandoned the earth in the end of time. And come to think of it, if God does not have a Remnant, then I can’t trust His Word. If I can’t trust His Word, then I can’t trust when the Bible in John says ‘In the beginning was the Word and the Word was with God, and the Word was God-John 1:1

If I can’t trust that God is the Word then I can’t trust that He even exists. If His Word is not true then He is not true and He in actuality does not exist. I truly believe with all of my heart that the ministers and members of the Seventh-day Adventist Church that are doubting the gift of prophecy as demonstrated through Ellen White, don’t really see how dangerous of ground they are treading. If she is no prophet, then there is no God!

Praise God His Word is trustworthy and that all that He foretold is coming to pass. Through this crisis in the last moment of earth’s history, I pray that we will pray for our brothers and sisters that are choosing to denounce God by denouncing His prophet.

The Bible shows us that the reason that the Jews asked for Barabbas was because they had denounced the prophets and only one thing happens when you denounce God’s Messengers, you soon denounce Christ.
