Baking better theme for restaurants

Few months back we released Restaurant theme that has been liked a lot by the cafe and restaurant business owners for it’s strategic structure and elegance. While the theme is unique in it’s own, the users suggested to have some features that are necessary in restaurant business website and we’d love to oblige. Here’s a preview to another theme that will be released this week. Gourmet – Simply better, more powerful and better features.

Multiple menu pages, multiple options

What’s the use if the restaurant theme do not have menu page? Our restaurant theme includes unique way to include menu page but the Gourmet theme takes the menu page to next level. Now, you can have as many menu pages as you want. Plus, you have an option to specify multiple sizes and prices for a menu item. (thanks to our user’s suggestions).

Did you bought restaurant theme already? Good news for you. We will add this same functionality to restaurant theme as well once we release the gourmet theme. Stay tuned, it’s coming next week.

When we started developing business themes in april, the theme were focusing on specific purpose. While developing some of the themes, we didn’t think drop down navigation menus were necessary in some of them. However, you, the actual user proved us wrong in some cases.

The development of professional wordpress themes is at a stage where drop down menu is one of the basic necessity in Premium Wordpress Themes and we would love to oblige. Because you requested via support forum and emails, all our themes do include multiple level drop down menus by default.

If you are existing customer, please login to member area and download the theme again.

We’ve been publishing new themes constantly since last few months and it’s been a real hard working and yet, joyful experience. Now, It’s time to get energized and refreshed.

Diwali, is the most popular and widely celebrated festival in India, the beautiful country where I live. We are also participating in this wonderful festival in order to mingle with family, friends and do a bit socializing. Starting from Monday, for next two weeks, we will observe holiday at PremiumThemes.net and there will be no new themes released. However, our support forum will remain open and all the queries will be answered within 24 hours.

Wedding website. Your suggestions please

Had to publish a quick post. It’s been while since we released Inspired Bits theme. While we are super excited over the themes we are preparing, it would be good to release a cool theme in between. Some of the users suggested us to create a wedding specific theme and yes, we will release a wedding theme this week.

But we need your help/suggestions

Here’s a quick mockup we prepared for the homepage but we are not sure on what elements/sections to place there. Can you please let us know via comments on – What do you need in a wedding theme/website? What are the must have elements. What importance it should be given etc.

PremiumThemes.net is going GPL

With some of the changes going on at our website, product release and other new stuff, We are glad to announce that effective from tomorrow (October 1, 2009), all current and future products at PremiumThemes.net is embracing (GPL) General Public License

Back in June this year, I published a blog post on my views on GPL license and “me too” trend among Premium Wordpress Themes developers. I still stand by many of my views and here’s why we are adapting the GPL license.

Why?

While I personally don’t agree with some of the aspects of GPL license model, I think we owe a lot to the wonderful wordpress software. Since 2007, 90% of my personal earnings are coming through wordpress and it didn’t feel good to go against wordpress expectations.

Because the wordpress community encourage GPL, We would love to give in and follow the GPL license expected by wordpress founder.

How does this affect you?

If you are one of our valuable customer, nothing changes for you in case you purchased developer license. If you bought single use license, you get the benefit of using the theme on as many domains as you want.
