Blocking websites have become very common in our surroundings, i.e. in our schools, colleges and offices. If I'm not mistaken, this "Blocking" really annoys us.Websites like facebook , twitter and other social networking sites are generally blocked.There are various tricks by which we can access these blocked websites.

1.Proxies are the most popular method of accessing blocked websites because they can bypass network restrictions.Some of the Proxy Websites are www.hidesmyass.com, www.anonymizer.com, www.spysurfing.com, www.proxify.us etc.The main disadvantage: using proxies doesn’t always works as they gets blocked by firewall as well .

2.Using IP Address insted of URL. For example to access facebook you can use ip address 69.63.189.11 (in your address bar) . You can use ip-address.com to find the ip address of other websites .

3.Sometimes converting the domain you’re trying to access to a short URL might work. This trick may not always work . The two popular url shortening service are goo.gl and bit.ly.

4.Using Cached version of a web page.You can access a cached version by clicking on the “cached” link from search results, or using the Google cache search operator (cache:www.domain.com) – where domain.com is the actual blocked domain that you want to access.

5.With a services like Web2Mail Lite, you can access any web page right from your email account. To request an instant delivery of any web page, simply send an email to www@web2mail.com. Be sure to enter the URL address of the web page you want to receive in the subject of your message. You’ll usually receive a reply within 5 minutes.

Mozilla Firefox is a free,open source and frequently used web browser from the Mozilla Application Suite and managed by Mozilla Corporation. As of February 2011[update], Firefox is the second most widely used browser with approximately 30% of worldwide usage share of web browsers. As we know that Internet Explorer tops the chart with about 44% and third place is Google’s Chrome browser, which has about 17 percent followed by Safari and Opera coming on fourth and fifth places with 5 and 2 percent respectively.

Firefox may be under fire from Microsoft's newly competitive browser, but with more than twice the downloads in its first day, Firefox 4 ascended over its rival by one measurement.

According to the Mozilla’s official download stats page, Firefox has been downloaded more than 5 million times during the first 24 hours since its release. By comparing these stats with that of Internet Explorer 9, we see that downloads of Firefox 4 are almost double than the 2.3 million downloads of IE 9.

Firefox 4 is available in 80 different languages for Windows, Mac and Linux , and will soon be available for the Maemo devices, according to Mozilla.

Windows Internet Explorer 9 (abbrreviated as IE9) is the upcoming version of the Internet Explorer web browser from Microsoft.It is currently available as a public beta version,released on September,2010.IE9 Beta is clean, lean, fast and slick.IE9 supports all CSS# selectors,improved JavaScript performance,and embedded Icc v2 or v4 color profiles support via Windows color System. Probably the most obvious change in IE9 is the minimalist interface. According to Microsoft execs, the browser should now take a backseat to the website.

Like Chrome, Opera and Safari, IE9 Beta shows you a thumbnail view of recently visited sites, but adds a small indication of how actively you've been using that site. This feature can be turned off too. But the biggest change in IE9 is a new type of bookmarking. You can now open a website and drag the tab down to the taskbar to 'pin' it there. Then onwards, clicking on the icon in the taskbar brings up a new window to the website.

Right clicking on the icon will bring up a contextual menu, specific to that site (for example, links that can take you directly to sub sections in that site). IE9 also features better GPU acceleration. So if your PC has a dedicated graphics card, you'll notice speed improvements.

Take a look at the features, and you'll see that IE has been learning from its competitors. Like Chrome, IE9 now features a unified search and address bar; the default search provider is Microsoft's Bing, but you can always add more (and make it the default too).

Unfortunately, IE9 Beta is only available to Windows 7 & Vista users. Why Microsoft chose to intentionally shut out the mass of Windows XP users is unknown, but the reports suggest it could be because Windows XP does not support DirectX10 and some hardware acceleration, some of the main features of IE9.
