I have also started a new promotion. I hear frequently that other families in hospitals do not know where to buy clothes. So I am sending brochures to hospitals with a code on the back for a discount that applies to patients (family and friends) of babies in that hospital. If your hospital does not have a brochure posted or does not give them out, I probably haven't sent them yet. I'm doing a few every day as I find hospital names. SO - send me your hospital NICU address and a contact name if there is a good person to send them to and I'll get them out to your hospital. Berlingot - Designer outfits at a discount

We bought up some left-over Berlingot newborn size - they label it 50cm which really only translates to 19 inches but I feel these mostly fit up to about 8 lbs - each item tells my estimate for sizing.

Berlingot is a designer line with designer prices. You can get yours at a more moderate price for incredibly cute, well designed and very detailed outfits! Most of their groups have several items available that match or coordinate but I will only have one or two of most of them so don't delay if you find the perfect outfit!

Below are some groups (these are mostly girl but I have both) and a couple of boy outfits. Not all are online but I'm working on getting them all there in the next few days so keep checking!

Micro Preemie Clothes

Micro preemies - although they all look pretty micro - are the very smallest. We define this size as up to 3 lbs although there is a huge difference between a 1 pound baby and a 3 pound baby. And there are differences in 3 pound babies - some are just born, perhaps in very fragile condition still and with many wires and tubes hooked up to them. Some have been in the NICU for weeks already and have worked up to that weight and are now mostly growing and getting used to breathing and eating on their own and can wear more clothes in preparation for going home and keeping themselves warm.

The clothing needs of the tiniest babies are probably more for the parent's sake although some feel babies are more comfortable not being naked or uncovered. But regardless, they have to be soft and easy on their skin as well as easy to use and compatible with whatever wire and tubes there are.

We try to have the largest selection possible of clothes that work in these conditions and that fit the needs of this range of babies.

Many years ago I received a cute story from a mom of very small twin girls. They were dressed in tiny dresses I had made and when the nurse went to undress one girl the baby got a grip on the dress and held on so tight they didn't pull it away from her until she finally let go quite some time later. Mom said it was like the baby wanted to keep the little dress on!

I bought the because they were supposed to be smaller but seem to be more the typical newborn - more like 1-3 months size.... We have just received some new Gerber Preemie outfits - these are slightly larger than the regular preemie things available from Gerber and were made for a large chain, now available to me at the end of the season. The addition of these makes Gerber our favorite less expensive basics line. They are slightly smaller still than some other brands, but I feel sized right for 3 lbs up to 5-6 lbs.

Zutano Itzy Bitzy

They're here - the two new Zutano Itzy Bitzy Families. Farm Fresh is all bright greens and orange and darling farm prints. Cottage Garden is bright whimsical flowers.

This season Zutano added a new larger size so we are trying that also. Newborn is about 4-7 lbs and 0-3 months is the next larger size. Here is a comparison on two dolls.
