how to make flash drive always sda1 or show only ntfs drive in samba?

I am new to all these but was able to follow instructions and use the yahoo group quick install on a staples brand 4gb micro flash drive and get everything working fine so far. I want to make samba share to only show the hard drives and not the flash drive as it is currently pointing to /tmp/.cemnt. Since this is a flash drive, if I reboot with other usb drives still attached, the flash drive will become sdb1, not sda1. It is still mounted to /opt. But my usb hard drive has 3 partitions and I only want to use sdx3. Is there a way so that samba only show this third partition on the usb drive? Or to put it another way, is there a way to mount all the ntfs partitions only on samba share?

Questions about adding Samba

Hi, looking to add samba to my pogoplug pro but have a few questions before i take the plunge. I have figured that i need to Install/add the package installer first. I have read different accounts of both using a USB key to do the job and installing it straight to the plug. Then adding Samba using the package handler. If i was to use the USB method can i remove it after or does it hve to be left in?. I have the general idea just trying ti fill in the blanks. Any help is greatfully received.

listShares shared parameter problems

Hi, I'm working with the REST API and i'm having trouble viewing shares that were shared with me by another user. I've tried both: http://service.pogoplug.com/svc/api/listShares?valtoken=[valToken]&shared=true as well as using services: http://service.pogoplug.com/svc/api/listServices?valtoken=[valToken]&shared=true Regardless, i'm always getting a list of files that i'm sharing. I'm assuming it might have something to do with how there is a Collaborate folder now, however i can't find anything in the API to access it. Any ideas? Thanks
[Read more]

Hamachi on Pogoplug

Has anyone seen or tried this guide to installing Hamachi on your Pogoplug? A better Guide to Hamachi on the Pogo Plug I'm curious to try it but before I jumped in thought I'd see if any of you had already gotten it up and running. I'd read this article on Lifehacker about using Hamachi and Privoxy to secure your browsing wherever you were , and thought it would be awesome to have my Pogoplug running Hamachi as a cheaper, power-saving means to have an always-on VPN server. Am I right that in order to install this my Pogoplug would have to be running Arch, rather that just Optware which I have installed already? Thanks all!
