The &lt;span style="font-weight: bold;"&gt;COMEDK entrance test&lt;/span&gt; is mandatory  for  candidates  seeking  admissions  for  the&lt;span style="font-weight: bold;"&gt;  Under-Graduate  courses  in COMEDK Member Institutions&lt;/span&gt;. Rank list will be on  the  basis  of  aggregate  marks  of  Physics,  Chemistry  and  Biology (PCB)  in  the qualifying  examination  (2nd  PUC/12th  Standard  or  any  other  equivalent  examination recognized by State / Central Government).&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="font-weight: bold;"&gt;COMEDK entrance test&lt;/span&gt; &amp;amp; publication of test score and rank list will be followed by centralised counseling (Single window system). The last two years of study shall comprise of Physics, Chemistry and Biology (PCB)  with  English  as  a  compulsory  subject  and  must  have  passed  these  subjects individually and must have obtained a minimum of 50% of marks taken together in PCB. In addition, in the Common Entrance Test, must have secured not less than 50% marks in PCB.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="font-weight: bold;"&gt;SC,  ST  and  OBC  Candidates  of  Karnataka&lt;/span&gt;  should  have  passed  the  qualifying&lt;br /&gt;examination  which  is 2nd  PUC  or 10+2  higher  secondary  or  equivalent  examination, recognized by State / Central Government. The last two years of study shall comprise of Physics, Chemistry and Biology (PCB) with English as a compulsory subject and must have passed these subjects individually and must have obtained a minimum of  40% of marks taken together in PCB. In addition, in the Common Entrance Test, must have secured not less than  40% marks in PCB. Candidates should have attained the age of 17 years as on 31/12/2008.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="font-weight: bold;"&gt;BDS&lt;/span&gt;:&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="font-weight: bold;"&gt;General Merit candidates&lt;/span&gt; should have passed qualifying exam which is 2nd PUC or 10+2 higher secondary or equivalent exam recognized by State / Central Government. The last two years study shall comprise of Physics, Chemistry and Biology (PCB) with English as a  compulsory  subject  must  have  passed  the  subject  and  individually  and  must  have obtained  a  minimum  of  50%  of  marks  taken  together  in  PCB.  Candidates  should  have attained the age of 17 years as on 31/12/2008. There is no Common Entrance Test for admission during the year 2009-2010.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="font-weight: bold;"&gt;SC,  ST  and  OBC  candidates  of  Karnataka&lt;/span&gt;  a  minimum  of  40%  of  marks  taken together  in  PCB.  All  other  requirements  are  same  as  applicable  for  General  Merit candidates.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="font-weight: bold;"&gt;fee structure&lt;/span&gt;:&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="font-weight: bold;"&gt;annual tution fee&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="font-weight: bold;"&gt;mbbs&lt;/span&gt;: Rs 3.25 lakh&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="font-weight: bold;"&gt;bds&lt;/span&gt;: Rs 2.3 lakh&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="font-weight: bold;"&gt;annual college wise and course wise fee fixed by each college will be published in due course&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="font-weight: bold;"&gt;application procedure&lt;/span&gt;:&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;The process involves the following stages:&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="font-weight: bold;"&gt;Note:&lt;/span&gt; &lt;span style="font-weight: bold;"&gt;Send the application in A4 size envelope only. Do not fold the application form&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;ul&gt;&lt;li&gt;Ensure that the Demand Draft for Rs.650/-(Rupees six hundred fifty only) if you intend to appear for MBBS  (PCB) or B.E(PCM) and Rs.850/-  (Rupees eight hundred fifty only) for MBBS and B.E(PCMB) Demand Draft to be kept ready before filling up &lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;the Online Application form, as you will have to enter the Demand Draft details.&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;The Online application form has to be filled up properly and completely.&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;Take a print of the filled in Application form and Date of Birth Certificate/Identity Proof (Two Copies : 1) Candidate Copy and 2) COMEDK Copy).&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;The Application form is said to be complete only if it is enclosed with all the&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;documents and posted to COMEDK office.&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;Multiple application forms filled and received from the same candidate will&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;result in confusion and may result in disqualification.&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;Multiple Demand Drafts in excess of the prescribed fee (Rs. 650/- or Rs. 850/-)&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;if sent by the candidate will not be refunded.&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;Non refundable fee for taking COMEDK UGET-2009 and attending centralized counseling if eligible is (Rs. 650/- or Rs. 850/-)&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;If Demand Draft is not enclosed the application will be rejected.&lt;/li&gt;&lt;/ul&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Note:   The recent passport size photographs to be provided have to be identical. There will be a&lt;br /&gt;total of 120 questions: 60 questions in Physics and 60 questions in Chemistry. The&lt;br /&gt;test  duration  for  combined  paper  is 120  minutes,  and  is  compulsory  for  all candidates seeking admissions to M.B.B.S. and B.E courses&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Biology and Mathematics tests will be held on the same day  17/05/2009 in the&lt;br /&gt;Afternoon  Session  separately,  with  each  subject  having 60  questions  with&lt;br /&gt;duration  of  60  minutes.  Candidates  are  free  to  choose  any  one  or  both  the subjects. Pass or appearing in 2009, for the Bachelor's Degree examination of three years duration in Science from any University of Orissa or equivalent recognised by UGC and have passed with a minimum of 60% marks in aggregate(First Division) with Mathematics at +3 level&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;(E) For admission to Second Year Pharmacy under Lateral Entry&lt;br /&gt; Pass or appearing in 2009, for the Bachelor's Degree examination of three years duration in Science from any University of Orissa or equivalent recognised by UGC and have passed with a minimum of 60% marks in aggregate ( First Division) with Biology at +3 level.&lt;br /&gt;The ratio of distribution of seats under lateral entryfor Diploma : B. The candidates must have passed in the subjects Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English individually and must have obtained a minimum of 50% marks (40% marks for candidates belonging to SC/ST category and 45% marks in case of OBC category) taken together in Physics, Chemistry and Biology. About 25% of them are permanently working in remote areas, and are committed to addressing the desperate health needs of these unreached rural populations. &lt;o:p&gt;&lt;/o:p&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;  &lt;p class="MsoNormal"  style="line-height: normal; font-family: georgia;font-family:georgia;"&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:100%;"&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:12;"&gt;At present, a total of 726 students are undergoing their training in Medicine and Paramedical courses. A total of 608 staff, both teaching and non-teaching are on the payroll of the College and rendering their services to the best of their abilities. Annual patient statistics report of 2007 (January to December) shows a total of 5,03,274 outpatients registered, with a daily average of 1379. The total number of new outpatients registered during this period was 1,34,803.
