<p>Develops, maintains, and verifies implementation of the project quality assurance program/plan for an assigned project or specific portions of alarge project. Manages and coordinates the project quality assurance<br />
program/plan activities associated with one or more functions in engineering, environmental, procurement, construction, testing, operations, and decommissioning of a project. Maintains client liaison and communication for project quality assurance activities. Advises management of project quality assurance problems and progress.</p>
<p>Is responsible for the QA activities on an extremely large* project including the supervision and technical guidance of at least one subordinate QA Supervisor. Requires a thorough knowledge of the Company&#8217;s administrative practices and supervisory experience.</p>

<p>This position functionally reports to the Transformation and Projects Contractor Assurance Manager and is a direct report to the Uranium Processing Facility Program Manager.</p>
<p>Responsibilities</p>
<p>The Uranium Processing Facility (UPF) Project Quality Assurance (QA)<br />
Manager is responsible to the UPF Program<br />
Manager for establishing and implementing the programmatic QA requirements for a large (&gt;USD2 billion) nuclear construction project.<br />
Directs a department of QA and Quality Control (QC) professionals who are assigned responsibilities involving Engineering, Procurement, Construction, and Project Management. Interfaces with the &#8220;line&#8221;<br />
organizations, functional peers, and the customer and external entities, such as the Defense Nuclear Facility Safety Board (DNFSB).</p>
<p>Provides oversight of design engineering, construction oversight, monitoring of training and qualifications, reviewing procurement documents quality requirements, managing oversight of field calibration requirements and implementation, and reviewing nonconforming conditions for trends adverse to quality. Manages the project assessment schedule to ensure site QA requirements are met, and provides input on and monitors project quality metrics. Provides oversight/review and approval as required of test functions and documentation for testing.</p>
<p>Requirements</p>
<p>Bachelors degree in an engineering or scientifically related field plus<br />
10-15 years of technical experience in a related field.<br />
Note: 20 years of relevant education, training, and/or progressive experience will be reviewed and considered for<br />
equivalency to these requirements.</p>
<p>Should have extensive Department of Energy (DOE) experience including<br />
experience with 10CFR830 and DOE Order 414.1C and be proficient in the technical aspects of Quality</p>

<h3>Requires experience in resolving complex quality issues and communication of these resolutions to regulators and project staff. Demonstrated experience in effectively partnering and communicating with internal and external customers necessary. Experience in a senior management position on a large Engineer, Procure, Construct project preferred.</h3>

<h3>Experience in nuclear readiness, effective assessment programs, managing Price-Anderson Amendment Act (PAAA)<br />
commitments, document control and configuration management systems, and NQA-1 programmatic implementation are desired qualification attributes. Experience related to Corrective Action Plan execution, &#8220;non-conformance&#8221; administrative systems, Conduct of Operations, and critique/investigation techniques are desired.<br />
The job level for this position will be determined based upon the education and relevant work experience of the selected candidate.</p>
<p>The ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Energy &#8220;Q&#8221; clearance is required.</p>

5. Recommends and sells valves and controls utilizing knowledge of valve and actuation applications.<br />

<p>Scope:<br />
Reporting to the Chief Mine Engineer, the Senior Mine Engineer is responsible for the coordination and performance of the short and long term mine planning processes within the Mine Engineering department. This includes the coordination of all aspects related to the development and stewardship of 1 week to 12 month short-term mine plans, planning for short-term sequencing issues, development of the 20 year and life of mine plans, and mentorship of junior Mine Engineering staff.</p>
<p>Specific Responsibilities:<br />
Coordinating short-term mine planning (design &amp; scheduling):<br />
Ensure short-term (1 week to 12 month) mine plans are produced and stewarded to through a reconciliation process;<br />
Ensure that short-term planning encompasses the requirements of the long-term plan;</p>
<p>Coordinate the creation of the short-term sequence of events, including updating &amp; inclusion of all relevant Operations &amp; Maintenance tasks to the sequence to complement the production requirements;</p>
<p>Report weekly &amp; monthly tonnage &amp; grade achievements;</p>
<p>Reconcile actual production results to budgeted results for formal reconciliation requirements on a monthly, quarterly &amp; annual basis;</p>
<p>Host the weekly Mine Sequencing meeting &amp; provide post-meeting updates &amp; plan to stakeholders (foremen, mill, etc.);</p>
<p>Optimize the weekly Mine Sequencing meeting to take advantage of any opportunities that arise;</p>
<p>Highlight maintenance time opportunities &amp; provide Operations with planning support to allow the opportunities to be utilized efficiently;</p>
<p>Coordinate &amp; manage change in the short-term planning area to continuously improve department performance;</p>
<p>Audit documentation of geological issues (high back cutting, bolts, disturbances, leach zones, etc.) in the drawing files to ensure that file accuracy is maintained &amp; information is available for future use in the mine planning process;</p>
<p>Coordinate creation of room projection documents for Mine Operations pre-cutting;</p>
<p>Coordinate with the Mine Operations Superintendent &amp; Mill Operations personnel on short-term mill requirements;</p>
<p>Ensure all short-term mine plans are communicated to &amp; coordinated with the Mine Manager, Chief Mine Engineer, Mine Operations Superintendent, Mine Maintenance Superintendent &amp; their associated staff;</p>
<p>Highlight &amp; coordinate drawings required for Mine Operations support; Coordinate the inclusion of routine samples into block model updates on a biannual (every 6 months) basis;</p>
<p>Coordinate the creation of room summary reports documenting grade, geological factors, ventilation concerns, bolts required, etc. for future use in the mine planning process in adjacent rooms.</p>
<p>Familiarity with underground ore zone and processes.</p>
<p>Coordinate long-term mine planning activities:</p>
<p>Steward to the long-term plan;</p>
<p>Coordinate the creation of the 20 Year Strategic Plan;</p>
<p>Manage the MOC process for mine planning and ventilation changes and optimization;</p>
<p>Coordinate personnel involvement during the process of plan creation and updating;</p>
<p>Host planning sessions to work through issues requiring group resolution;</p>
<p>Communicate all mine plans to the Chief Mine Engineer, Mine Manager, Mine Superintendents and Mill Manager;</p>
<p>Coordinate quarterly and annual reconciliation activities.</p>
<p>Promote improvements in all areas to meet or exceed set targets:</p>
<p>Ensure alignment and cohesion within the Mine Engineering team;</p>

<h4>The Plant Manager provides leadership and direction to the plant in all areas of responsibility including administration, production, processing, packaging, quality, maintenance, warehousing, shipping, purchasing, safety, and environmental.</h4>
<h4>Directs the overall activities of the manufacturing facilities of the plant to ensure customer orders are received, scheduled, produced and shipped at the lowest possible cost to meet the customers’ requirements while maintaining corporate established quality standards.</h4>
<h4>Analyzes plant operations to ensure that the facility maintains a leadership position in the industry and that it takes advantage of new processes and technologies that become available.</h4>
<h4>Is responsible for expense control, including shrink, labor and overhead costs utilizing Continuous Improvement techniques.</h4>
<h4>Develops annual manufacturing expense budget in accordance with forecasted sales volumes and planned inventory levels.</h4>
<h4>Develops and manages implementation of plant capital budget.</h4>
<h4>Provides reliable and accurate information to finance to ensure that end of month closing schedules are met.</h4>
<h4>Ensures that appropriate standard operating procedures (SOP’s) are developed and maintained for all aspects of the business.</h4>
<h4>Implements plant safety programs and ensure compliance with good manufacturing practices (GMP’s).</h4>
<h4>Is responsible for the Food Security Policy/Program to assess potential food security risks and to ensure food security preventive measures are being implemented and routinely audited regarding the manufacturing, handling and storage of all food ingredients as well as finished goods.</h4>
<h4>Is liason between management, engineers and departments within local and branch facilities</h4>
<h4>Is responsible for environmental compliance.</h4>
<h4>Collaborates with other plant managers within the company to share best practices</h4>
<h4>Is responsible for maintaining proper staffing levels, employee performance evaluations, discipline, and employee commendation.</h4>
<h4>Is responsible for the overall succession planning and development of plant management staff.</h4>
<h4>For those facilities with a collective bargaining agreement, additional responsibilities will include assisting in contract negotiations, grievances and arbitrations and all aspects of contract management.</h4>
<h4>Ensures compliance with all Company Corporate policies and procedures.</h4>
<h4>Performs other duties as assigned.</h4>
<h4>Engages in the typical responsibilities of a manager requiring planning, evaluating, organizing, integrating, and controlling.</h4>
<h4>Has supervisory responsibility involving staffing, conducting performance appraisals, training and developing subordinates, promotions, salary increases, terminations, disciplinary actions, etc.</h4>
<h4>Job Requirements<br />
PEng Designation<br />
Bachelor’s degree (BSc).<br />
Minimum of 10+ years of hands-on experience in food processing plant operations or food industry<br />
Must be able to demonstrate a thorough understanding of regulatory laws and responsibilities as relative to processing and filling and general facility standards.<br />
Demonstrates basic understanding of budgeting, cost control and federal milk marketing reporting.<br />
Demonstrates a passion for learning and a willingness to build new skills.<br />
Must be able to define, diagnose, and resolve problems.<br />
Ability to have an organization-wide perspective and understand how the business operates.<br />
Ability to understand the vision of the organization and translate it into specific plans and actions that achieve desired results.<br />
