Jamie xx hopped on the decks to spin a two-hour BBC Essential Mix last night. There's plenty of choice cuts-- stick around until the very end, though, when he drops his own remix of Radiohead's The King of Limbs cut "Bloom", which will appear on the Radiohead remix release TKOL RMX 1234567, out October 10 in the UK and October 11 in North America. On their website, Radiohead have made available for listening the latest installment of their series of remix singles of tracks from The King of Limbs. Below, stream Brokenchord's take on "Give Up the Ghost", Blawan's mix of "Bloom", and Altrice doing something called "TKOL". It will be for sale on August 29. TKOL RMX 1234567, the double-CD release rounding up all these remixes, is set for an October 10 release in the UK and October 11 release in North America.

St. Vincent did a one-off show at New York's Metropolitan Museum of Art last night, playing three as-yet-unheard cuts from her forthcoming album Strange Mercy: "Cheerleader", "Champagne Year", and "Year of the Tiger". Watch video of those performances below. Strange Mercy is due September 13 in the U.S. and Sept. 12 in the UK via 4AD. (via Consequence of Sound)

Here's the video for Beyoncé's "1+1", a Best New Track-stamped single from this year's 4. Directed by Beyoncé herself with Laurent Briet and Ed Burke, the video tells "the story of love at its best," according to Beyoncé's website. Which apparently means lots of sweating and falling water and trippy visual effects.

You might remember when we posted "Springstung", a rumbling rocker from Brooklyn outfit Sweet Bulbs, back in June of 2010. That band recently broke up due to "months of creative disputes"; now, former members Michael Sheffield and Jack Wolf have a new band, Heaven's Gate. The song below, "Salome", is a swaying, shoegazey number that is about "mourning the death of a friend".

On September 6, Charlotte Gainsbourg will release the Terrible Angels EP on Because Music/Elektra. The EP features two unreleased songs: the title track, written and produced by Gainsbourg's IRM collaborator Beck, and "Memoir", written by Conor O'Brien, aka Villagers. It also includes a live version of "Terrible Angels" and a live cover of Bob Dylan's "Just Like a Woman". In addition, the EP contains two videos: one for the live version of "Just Like a Woman" and one for the title track, which you can watch below or over at Pitchfork.tv. Directed by Nathalie Canguilhem, the clip follows Gainsbourg as she discovers a very strange (and very choreographed) occurance in a parking garage. What, exactly, she discovers is kind of amazing-- and trust us, you'll want to stick around 'til the end for this one.

Kendrick Lamar: "A.D.H.D."

Jay-Z's Life + Times blog has the video for Kendrick Lamar's "A.D.H.D.", a BNT'd highlight from the Compton spitter's Section.80 LP. The slow-rolling, Va$htie-directed clip matches the track's languid, spacey feel, with footage of grabbing snacks at a deli and fucking around in an empty office space with goofy-looking rubber masks. Cool.

NYC indie rockers Oberhofer just put out a new single, "Gotta Go", digitally via White Iris (it'll come out physically on October 4). The spiky, new-wavey tune was produced by Fool's Gold's Lewis Pesacov. Oberhofer recently signed to Glassnote and are about to begin work on their debut LP, due early next year.

Parallax is out November 8 on 4AD; that's the album cover above, shot by rock photographer Mick Rock.
