You can save it to a doc file but it would be much cooler to save it into PDF.

Web2PDF is a free online service that does only one thing. It will convert a page off the web into PDF format for you. You don’t have to sign up or anything, just enter the address of the page you want converted and wait for it while it does its thing. Conversion takes about a couple of minutes and you will be given a link where you can download your PDF.

They also have a bookmarklet for Firefox users who doesn’t want to visit the site to do their conversion. Only thing I would like to see is a way to select elements in the screen to convert so I won’t have to see ads and comments but I guess that would defeat its simplistic approach.

Charter’s ULTRA60, sign me up please!

If you’re an internet junkie like me then you’ve got to envy the people at St. Louis especially those who are subscribed to charter ultra fast 60 service which is one of the fastest in the US. That’s 60Mbps speed folks!! I don’t know if you would still be able to get off the PC if you have speeds like that.

With 60Mbps I would be able to:

Play those online Games OnDemand like Fear2, NBA 2k10 and Crysis without having to go to the store to buy the game itself. Fast downloads and no more lag when playing.

Watch movie flicks online. Not just any ordinary videos but those high definition shows like from Hulu or Netflix. No more lengthy buffering or stuttering. It’s going to be just like watching it offline.

Download more stuff! It would be very nice to see your download progress move right in front of your eyes instead of reading a book while waiting for your download to finish.

Fortunately, Charter is bringing their Ultra60 and phatband technology outside St. Louis. It’s now available at Southern California and expect it to reach more cities soon.

If you’re still on DSL connection and unhappy with it, you will be more satisfied with cable internet like the Ultra60 from Charter. Only thing left now is to buy more hard disk space and subscribe to HD video sites.

This is a Sponsored Post written by me on behalf of Charter. Mafia Wars just introduced the new money laundering collection in New York that once completed will reduce your bank deposit fee by 3%.

So how do you get those pieces? Randomly, by doing jobs in New York you will get a rare chance to launder money. When this happens you must send request to your friends by publishing it to your feed. When your friends help you they will get a a random loot for the money laundering collection.

So actually, you’re helping you friends complete their collection. But when they clicked on your link, they will also have the chance to start their own money laundering that you can help out so you’ll get some of the loot too.

Some people are still experiencing some bugs about not being able to publish the feed or not getting anything from it even if the game says they got something.

If the –3% bank deposit fee is not much for you then continue finishing Cuba or Moscow and forget about the new collection. Hehehe.

Looking for an inventory management software?

Successful businesses today no matter how big or small often rely on technology to help manage things. It’s important for start-ups or those who are still using manual method of keeping track of things to invest in something that is tried and tested, powerful yet affordable at the same time.
Businesses that deal a lot with customers, vendors, retailers and/or distributors will usually need some sort of inventory management software to efficiently keep track of inventory at different locations. If you’re in the market to look for one, why not check out AdvancePro from AdvanceWare Technologies.

AdvancePro is a software that can help your business make buying, selling, shipping faster and easier. If you don’t want or you don’t need the whole package, you can choose only the functions that you currently need and just purchase more functions as you see fit. If all you need is a warehouse management software, AdvancePro can be arranged to be just like that.

One of the great things about AdvanceWare is their commitment to support. Customer satisfaction is paramount to them and they will offer the highest level of support for each customer.

Customers who have used AdvancePro usually commented on how easy it is to use the interface despite the robustness and power of the software. What’s more is that the AdvancePro team can work well within the budget of the customer and can still deliver the features and functionalities that they need.

Consider AdvancePro if you want something complete yet affordable.

Now aside from an inventory management software, next thing businesses need to invest on is an accounting software. If you don’t know where to begin, you might want to check this article to get tips for choosing an accounting software.

Know your hardware specs with Speccy

If you’re planning to upgrade your PC or sell it then you might find the need to know its specs first. It’s now a reality

There’s this reported virus or a worm to be exact that’s making its way to jailbroken iPhones. It’s still very primitive and can easily be prevented but it opens the possibility of other complex virus to spread via mobile phones.

This first reported worm which is called “ikee” and created by a hacker named ikex has infected jailbroken iPhones in Australia. What it does is simply change your wallpaper to an image of Rick Astley and tries to install itself to other iPhones on the network. Very funny if you think about it but this is how computer virus started out in the 90’s, just a prank.

Only jailbroken iPhones with the default password of ‘alpine’ and with SSH installed can be infected. So if I were you, change the root password now if you have a jailbroken iPhone.

[Sophos]

Brinell Purestorage portable hard drive is purely elegant

When I saw the LG XD3 Slim HDD’s a couple of months ago I thought I already seen the most classy external drive out there. With the new OS comes new architecture and it’s time again to see which browser works well with Windows 7.

Fortunately, Lifehacker already did the test using the popular browsers including the beta versions. If you’re interested in reading the whole test, head over to Lifehacker.

What struck me the most is how Firefox leads the pack when it comes to memory usage. I always encounter system stuttering when there are more tabs loaded on my Firefox 3.5.

Here are the overall scores based the speed and memory usage of the browsers tested on a Windows 7 system (higher the better):

Google Chrome 4.0.223.11: 23

Firefox 3.6 beta 1: 21

Google Chrome 2 (stable): 19

Firefox 3.5.4: 17

Safari 4.03: 17

Opera 10.01: 16

Internet Explorer 8.0.7600: 13

The lightweight Google Chrome is still the best among the bunch when it comes to speed and memory usage. Trailing the list is the “supposed-to-be” improved version of IE 8.

I am still a Firefox user mainly because of its AdBlock plugin. But I’m still longing for a built-in incognito or private browsing mode for it.

[Lifehacker]

Wall of Sound… literally

Here’s another post about speakers. This time it’s the Wall of Sound by Brothers which is probably the world’s most powerful speaker. Not only is it the most powerful speaker for your iPod with 28 elements but it’s probably the biggest as well measuring 37.4 in. x 49.2 in. x 11.8 in. and has a weight of 102kg.

The Wall of Sound is handmade giving it the high quality that is needed to achieve graceful mids and crystal clear highs. It has a frequency response of 40Hz to 20000kHZ and requires 125Watts of amplifier power.

It is the perfect music statement for any bachelor pads out there and will set you back $4,495. Well it seems that slim is going to be the design of the future for speakers thanks to NXT Technology which makes it possible for high-fidelity loudspeakers to be fabricated in virtually any size and shape.

Genius incorporated this NXT Technology into their latest 2.1 speakers, the SW-Flat 2.1 800. Its stylish super slim design is sure to complement your flat monitor and minimalist desktop space. The SW-Flat 2.1 800 has a wired control to adjust volume, bass and power. There is a line-in jack which you can use to connect to other audio devices. There's also a headphone jack when you prefer private listening.

You can check out this speaker at the Genius concept store in SM Megamall Cyberzone where it is selling for P1,990.

Mafia Wars Moscow Vaulted Collection and Boost Effects

With the release of all episodes in Mafia Wars Moscow, I was finally able to collect and vault all 6 collections. Not until Dyson introduced its bladeless fan they call the Dyson Air Multiplier. It’s quite complicated to explain how it can produce airflow that you can redirect. I don’t even understand their explanation but it goes like this:

Air is drawn into the base of the machine. The air is forced up into the loop amplifier and accelerated through the 1.3mm annular aperture, creating a jet of air that hugs the airfoil- shaped ramp. While exiting the loop amplifier, the jet pulls air from behind the fan into the airflow (inducement). At the same time, the surrounding air from the front and sides of the machine are forced into the air stream (entrainment), amplifying it 15 times. The result is a constant uninterrupted flow of cooling air.

So what advantage does a bladeless fan have over the traditional fans aside from being child-friendly? It eliminates “buffeting”, the on-off gush of air caused by blades chopping the air and creating an uneven airflow. You’ll get smooth and uninterrupted air every second if that’s a good thing for you.

Believe it folks. It’s real and it costs a whopping $299 for the 10-inch model.

Acer upgrades its AspireRevo Nettop

Acer recently announced an upgrade to its Mac mini-esque, extremely compact PC, the AspireRevo nettop. The Genius Navigator 380 integrates mouse and internet functions while featuring a 1200 dpi optical engine. There are seven buttons in Navigator 380 for the phone functions --- Phone on/off, List up/down, Volume up/down and OK for calling.

When you have an incoming phone call, the Navigator 380 rings as long as the PC speaker is ON. If the speaker is OFF, an LED light in the mouse blinks to let you know that someone is calling you.

But can you guess what the problem will be in having a phone and a mouse in one? Yup! How can you navigate around your desktop if you’re using the phone? But if you won’t be bothered by it then by all means get one.

SRP for the Genius Navigator 380 is Php850.

Turn your iPhone into a mirror with Ozaki iCoat Mirror

If you are looking for a screen protector for your iPhone or iPod Touch, you will typically have the choice of matte for anti-glare and anti-fingerprint or glossy for bright and crisp colors.

Now Ozaki, the makers of Apple accessories, has another type of screen protector.
