Emotionally powerful moments were the hallmark of this finale. I honestly don’t think I was prepared for it. I was so impressed by the interaction and display of emotion in this final scene that I forgot I was watching a TV show. I nearly cried and I am not a crier. We can only guess now at the ramifications of this move.

This new wave of geek powered media is bringing more and more into fandom... Still, with all of the new media coming out there is now an education gap in geek knowledge as some great staples of geek culture have been forgotten or left (as so far) unturned in the new wave. Over the course of three articles I’m doling out stuff - dated or not - that every fan should at least look at. Let’s start with novels/comics:

The Shape Stealer: All it Steals is Time

So, it turns out The Shape Stealer was the third book in a series....The book reads more like someone stole pages 150-300 of a much longer novel than part of a series....The blurb had caught my attention, and the book sounded like a self-contained story. Sadly it was not, and I honestly reached the end and blinked. I think even if I had read the series, ending a book like it’s the end of chapter 5 of 12 is never a way to make me pick up the next book. Or, in this case, the first book.
