Well, actually I only want to see it to satisfy my needs to window shop while I put baby Kelliyah to sleep... less tiring than to actually stroll in the mall, isn't it? hehehe

On the serious tone, It's been quite a while since I wanna try to copy Avon's models on applying eye shadows. I wonder how they make their eyes pop using 3 shades of the same color. I remember Korean and Japanese anime girls, with those big and colorful eyes, they look so pretty! Even Lady Gaga's eyes on her "Bad Romance" video seems huge but nice. So I did search for tutorials on how to achieve huge eye look and I came up with an AOL health article that describes how Lady Gaga appears to have really big eyes on her "Bad Romance" video. So it was a pair of contact lenses that does Lady Gaga's trick! The article says that teens, as Lady Gaga's numerous audience, are mostly the one trying to get the same look using online contact lenses with dangerous results. "A contact lens is a medical device and must be fit to he patient's eye," said Dr. Marc Werner, an ophthalmologist at Stahl Eye Center in new York City. "when it is not fitted properly, the patient risks everything from minimal discomfort to loss of vision related to a contact lens infection. Unfortunately, if vision loss occurs, it may be permanent. " Isn't it scary?? Err, too much for the huge eye drama I want to achieve huh? Oh I guess I'll just settle for the eye shadows now..hehe

It's creepy to have this not normal look, isn't it? My baby girl is here! And she is such a darling. I love her the first time I saw her, and I vow to savor her baby moments since I missed my eldest's growing up months coz I was too engrossed with my mild post partum depression.

I remember when I first saw Jian. He was like a stranger to me. I wasn't that excited to see him but prior to my delivery, it was the opposite. Hubby and I were so delighted shopping for our soon-to-be first born. Hubby was so eager to buy Jian's stroller and crib, and me on the other hand shopped for a lot of new born clothes that I wasn't considering my mom's advice that babies grow up fast and he won't be needing all the clothes I bought after 3 months. We just can't wait to see Jian in person back then. But when he came out, it was all a different story. I was easily irritated by his frequent cries. I can't wait for him to grow up and do things on his own. Little did I know that I'll miss holding his little body in my arms, singing him to sleep and waking in the middle of th night to feed him. Now, he's all grown up that I can't even kiss him whenever I want without him running away from me to play with his toys. I miss my baby boy.

But with my Kelliyah, my newly born baby girl, it should be a different story. I vowed to savor all the small details of taking care of my little angel. I don't want to miss her babyhood. I want to savor all the sleepless nights she cries for milk, because I know after 3 months or so, she will be crawling on the floor, learning how to stand and walking with her kuya Jian with lesser help from the grown ups. I wanted to enjoy her obedience, just like Jian does now, without missing her babyhood. My experiences with them both are way too different, but I love them equally with all my heart and soul. (They don't have any idea how special they are to me.)

Here's a picture of our 20days old baby girl, Kelliyah Angela.

And here's a picture of my two beloved kids, my little knight and little angel.

Jian Ezekiel & Kelliyah Angela

Aren't they so adorable? =)

Los Angeles Movers

I’m having a bad time sleeping these days. Baby is crowding the inside of my tummy and moving quite a lot. She’s a girl but make jabs and kicks much stronger than her big brother, Jian, when he was still in my womb. Sigh! Sleepless nights like these would mean a great conversation with a friend who is living on the other side of the globe.

My friend Monique, who is so meticulous and living in Los Angeles, had been talking great about this Los Angeles Movers after she moved from Santa Monica and into the city. The attention the crew had given to her belongings, which are all quite expensive and very sentimental to her, was the thing she definitely love about these LA Movers. I was quite intrigued about them, and checked out their site and found this LA Moving Company in Los Angeles. They offer free quotations which you can avail whenever you call their local number 1-323-692-1060.

I’m way too impressed. Even without checking their site, I know they are great since my friend would always had a bad thing to say to a lot of moving companies in the area. And I assure you I heard every reason from each company she made. And knowing the she found the one who knows how to handle her valuables well, I’m so happy and relieved that I can’t hear her mad complaining words from the phone from now on. =)

Disclosure: This is a sponsored post. I've heard from a colleague about this Lasik surgery which can help him see better without "the thing" he definitely wouldn't leave behind.

Lasik or laser-assisted in situ keratomileusis is the most often performed surgery in the United States for correcting myopia, hyperopia and astigmatism. Lasik is performed by ophthalmologists, such as Dr. Thierry Hufnagel using a laser. It is a viable alternative for those people who are using eyeglasses and contact lenses that's why I'm considering this for my hubby. Maybe we'll try to find a hospital near our area and canvass for the price of this surgery. I'll be into more investigative of this Lasik surgery starting now. *wink*

Life Insurance Los Angeles

Me and hubby have been eyeing for a few insurance companies which we can depend on. Us being freelancers, can’t assure of anything that most company gives to their employees. With all those benefits we can’t get, we are considering insurance companies just like Los Angeles Health Insurance for our family’s future.

A month ago, we visited a friend’s mom to gather some information about the insurance company she is employed with. Knowing that she’s been there ever since, we asked for something the same like Life Insurance Los Angeles. We were satisfied with all the information we got but of course, we haven’t got cash on hand so we did not pay for the plan we liked. So months past, me and hubby decided to put the insurance things aside as of now, and focus on saving for my baby’s delivery. But then, there comes yesterday when our godmother visited us and introduced Los Angeles Insurance and we were truly happy that we haven’t signed for the first one yet. It is way much better. I would definitely recommend it to my friends, and you too, dear reader.=)

If ever you too would like to get a free insurance quote from a licensed insurance agent of Los Angeles Insurance, you can call them at 1-800-475-6840.

The Power of Knowledge

Our son is at the peak of learning on how to speak. He can say more than 100 words I guess and slightly pronounce the ABC. We've been buying him books and colorful visual aids to stimulate his desire to read and speak. Ah, yes its definitely a joy to hear him speak his mind - he sometimes murmur out random phrases like he's telling a story in a different language.

He's definitely growing fast and soon he might even be able to share his knowledge thru the Internet like the site U-2-Me The Knowledge Exchange (www.u-2-me.com) or even start his own blog too! We're also letting him use the pen and paper to scribble and explore what he can draw with his hands. We're so blessed with a bibbo kid like Jian! i just can't wait to read all of his written stuffs too. =D

Disclosure: This is a sponsored post. It prints, it scans, it copies... then it fails within the scope of the 1year warranty. It actually did not work after 4 months of buying it. Of course, first thing we did was to return it where we bought it, and they sent it to the Canon repair center.

It took almost a month to diagnose the problem of our printer, and they said that the cause of the malfunction is insect infestation. I think they are lying! How could insects manifest and broke our printer down that early. I was actually thinking that that insect manifestation happened when our printer got stocked to their warehouse (or where ever they store printers for inspection). They also told us that we can't have our unit replaced because insect manifestation is not under their so-called warranty. They were even asking for a 5,000Php worth of repair, service and some parts replacement for our 4 month old printer! My gosh, we should buy a new one rather than pay them more than just how much we bought it! So my hubby told them to just return it for him to fix it all by himself or else we would really get a Personal Injury Laywer Hawaii. hehehe Just joking! ;)

Until now, it's almost a year since we bought the printer and they still did not brought it back to us! How can we possibly believe their reasons for having a really bad unit and services when they can't even get our printer back? So it looks like their really lying about the insect manifestation and it made us more sorry for our money. Spending it on Canon printer is not worth it. I guess they better really get a Personal Injury Hawaii now for real. Sigh! Luckily we'll be having a baby girl, so we feel that we hit the jackpot - a boy and girl kid in the house! We're doing some major preparation already for the coming baby, and I'm feeling the delivery date is nearing more and more since the baby inside me is becoming more active like she's really excited to come out.

Maybe its also God's will that we have a better household help now. We've gone through several helpers already and we even considered having videosurveillance cameras installed just so we know what they were doing. But now I think we have the best helper yet just ready for Kelliyah's (hopefully our baby's first name) arrival, but then, nothing is perfectly sure in this world so we still better buy one. *wink*

We're having a Baby Girl!

It's almost 2months to go before my due date. Whew! Husband and I are really excited for our baby girl this time, and Jian is also ready to see his sibling. We just can't contain the feeling of having her just like when we knew that baby Jian was on the way two years ago. But even though we're more prepared this time, we're also more worried for our growing family. Thinking that me and my sibling get sick simultaneously before, I can't deny the fact that it might happen too with my kids, so getting a mutuelle hospitalisation in a respectable health insurance company that offers contracts that save money when people need medical services is very necessary.

When my Dad was still an employee, me and my 3 other siblings have our own Health Card to be used when emergency occurs but I can't remember any instance that we used our annual check up or really had our money's worth. Also, after I had my monthly check up a month ago, I noticed a lot of HMO cards being On-Hold on that certain hospital I go for. Now I am really thinking where could we get the best health card for the family.

Anyway, as little munchkin is about to arrive, we're focusing on the things we can use immediately. As far as we know, the youngest that can apply for a health card is 90 days old so we can't get a card for baby girl until she gets 3 months old. So for now, we can settle of having new receiving blankets, baby clothes, a comforter, bolster and pillow set and new feeding bottles. Yeah, it all gets so costly but me and my hubby think of the same thing, seeing her comfortable and pretty with all those stuffs, we're sure we got 101% of our money's worth. :)

Calling All the Single Ladies! Well, having a clique like mine would really make singles wish of having families as most of us are happily married with cute, energetic and smart kids. But then, knowing my friends, they better settle being single than having not their ideal mates.

But being geeky as I am, I suggested ConnectingSingles.com to try their luck in the cyber world. Also being great in sales talking (ehem!), I instantly wooed them to the site. It’s really entertaining and fun trying all those compatibility quizzes, know-me quizzes, meeting possible other halves in the forum and polls, etc. I, personally, love Poetry Feature where members can post their own personal poems which I also do in my spare time. As my friends eagerly tried and became glued to their seats as they browse it, they have their own special someone before the day ended. How’s that for cupid working double time? :D

As ConnectingSingles.com is a 100% FREE online dating site, it has loads of quality features such as chat rooms, rate photos, videos, IM, single parties, and more to try! He said to play online, he might need some Xbox Membership or get a Xbox 360 Live 12 Month plan and buy it somewhere. He thinks it the Xbox game would be an entertainment hub for us because aside from playing video games it can also serve as an Internet device or Media Center.

Anyway, I researched a bit and told him he can Buy Xbox Live Membership Online. The reason: what else but work.

I never hesitated to give him the nod when he told me the situation on why he has to leave to La Union a couple of days ago. It's an 8-hr ride from here and I am pregnant so it's impossible for me to come and see him whenever I want. But then, thankfully, I'm not that emotional compared when I was pregnant with Jian which took me a lot of times crying whenever hubby will leave and come back after 12hours. And a nanny for my kid is a blessing so I am positive that everything will be smooth for two weeks. Talking about God's plan, who am I not to let it happen right? But of course I miss him. The rub on my back and his massage on my feet every night... My waking up early to cook for his breakfast and those morning kisses.. Haay, its the small things that counts when you and your partner's far from each other.

Now, I am a believer of the quote: "Absence makes the heart go fonder". I don't want to sound so motherly and clingy but I guess its just a girl thing or a woman's instinct to protect and make sure that everything is okay with the one they love. I know he can do a lot for himself, but I just can't help to care. Well maybe dealing with this for the first time makes it more difficult than ever but I guess its just a matter of time when I can rest assure that everything is going to be fine.

In the mean time, I suddenly had a time to go out and have my nails done but unfortunately, the manicurist did a not so nice job. Just think about a couple of toes and fingers swollen. Too bad for a broken-hearted momma. Sigh! Jian's the only one who's making me happy right now. He did not have any tantrums since his daddy left. Now its making me think how spoiled he is with his dad. Hindi sya maka-biglang iyak kapag may di sya makuha. He's such an angel. Obedient, sweet and all, minus his Dad. =( Aww, malungkot parin...

We'll be waiting for you to come home, daddy,
and celebrate valentines day with us...
We miss you and we love you so much!
Hugs and Kisses from Jian and me. =)

I heart Melissa Cantiveros of PBB Double-UP!

I don't know what Isay got that makes me laugh so hard whenever she burst out her unique punchlines. She's so adorable that I am so hooked on Pinoy Big Brother Double-Up this time. I never did watch the first 3 PBB shows but when I caught myself loving Melai's bubbly character, I never missed a night of watching the show (aside from the nights when I felt so sick and dizzy). Me and hubby are quite wondering if this will have an effect on our up-coming baby, what do you think? hahaha

Melai's so insecure with lots of things.

What she doesn't know, she's more popular than any actresses on primetime now! =)

I'm Baack!

First month of the year almost ends but still I want to update everyone with my fast-paced life right now. =)

It's been a week since I got a new babysitter for my kid which happen to do very good than the other two before. Thankfully now, I can start blogging again while feeling at ease that my baby Jian wont climb the stairs or chairs without anyone looking at him. Also, I just ended the toughest part of my pregnancy, the first trimester, which was so hard that I can't barely eat cause I vomit everything I put into my mouth. I also get dizzy whenever I face my laptop so I barely use it aside from checking on my Facebook account every once in a while. But then, I'm glad it's over! Goodbye nausea, vomits and a lot more.. =D

Me and hubby would like to have a baby girl, very excited that I can buy dresses and clips this time. But still, if it will be a boy, it would be okay. As long as he/she is healthy when he/she comes out. =)

My baby Jian who will be turning 2 in 2 weeks time wont just still understand who is coming out in 5 months. But then, we bought him a new toddler bed cause I'm way too sure that the next baby wouldn't be using Jian's crib for the next 3 months after he/she arrives. And we will be squeezing ourselves in our queen size bed that could be uncomfortable for my two little angels by that time. Gleefully, Jian loves his bed so much that he sleeps on his own and play on his bed longer than before. He's so adorable! He's so much ready to sleep on his own this time. =)

My Baby Jian's a big boy now. He already got his own doodle time! =)

Since I'm in about to be in the middle of my pregnancy, I learned from a friend that this is what they call "nesting stage". It is when a pregnant mother instinctively wants everything to be spick and span before the baby arrives. This would take a lot of tidying in the house and buying stuffs for the little munchkin. I was not aware of this behavior before but now I understand why I agree to my hubby on buying the vacuum cleaner and air conditioner this time. My baby's new nanny's arrival was also timely. Since me and hubby renovated the whole house, our general cleaning week is done faster than even expected with her help. Everything is so meant to be. =)

Aja! I still have a lot of stories to tell but my shoulder aches like crap. I'll be back the soonest and will share my mommy/wifey/me moments with you guys. I'm back! haha

It's been half a month since my last entry because I've been busy for so many reasons a mom has to attend to. But anyway, I would love to update my online diary now, not only for my lovable readers but also for myself.

The start of the month was very hectic since my uncle came home from Guam and commemorate the death of our lolos and lolas on All Saint's Day with us together with his family. We had a 2-day bonding galore and the highlight of our holiday getaway was our trip to Kamay ni Hesus in Lucban Quezon.

The shrine of Kamay ni Hesus is located on the slopes of Mt. Banahaw, Barangay Tinamnan, Lucban, Quezon. Its church where celebrates healing masses everyday at 10am. In this site is a 292-steps hill with life size figures depicting the 14 Stations of the Cross, and on the top is a 50-foot statue of Jesus Christ that is said to be the third biggest in the world.

It was very tourist friendly to go to Kamay ni Hesus since we arrived there smoothly and hassle-free. From here in Calamba, we had a 3hour ride from 7am to 10am. Actually, we just search the net for instructions on how to get there and it was all a bliss. =) From Calamba, we passed by Los Banos, Bay, Pila, Sta. Cruz, and Pagsanjan. Then in Pagsanjan, you must pass to the towns of Cavinti and Luisina before finally arriving at Lucban Quezon. And upon arriving Lucban, Quezon, you can see the huge statue of Jesus Christ from the road so you'll never get lost.

The experience was indescribable. It was ecstatic and fulfilling but frightening. I also realized I do really have vertigo. But then, I was happy. I've reached the top with Daddy Mike and Baby Jian. Well, Jian's lolo Chokoy helped Daddy along the way. I really recommend Kamay ni Hesus not only for pilgrimage but for visiting Him on any day you can.

Rev. Father Joey Faller, spiritual director of the Catholic Charismatic Renewal of the Philippines and founder of the Kamay ni Hesus Healing Church visualized the church to give the sick and the spiritually weak a haven where they could feel and experience the presence of God. If you want more details on the place e-mail Fr. Joey at fatherjoey@kamaynihesus.com or call his office in Lucban at (011-6342) 540-3085 or 0917-853-6267 or just visit its homepage www.kamaynihesus.com

Let's All Say YES to CHANGE!

Everyone would love to have a better future for ourselves and our country specially these days. But, everything won't happen in just a blink of an eye if you won't dare to change. Changing for the betterment of one's self, one's family, one's community, one's nation and our world is any youth's goal to be achieved, and this CHANGE for the good of many is what SEACHANGE is all about.

SEACHANGE is an ongoing movement connecting Southeast Asian Youths to projects, organizations, businesses, and leaders who can help them with the change they want to see. They are inviting youths ages between 18 to 35 to join and register to have a chance to win free tickets to the most awaited event. Oh, next thing I know, I'll be sending him off to school, leaving me waiting for him to arrive home. Aw, I hope he would still love to be kissed and hugged forever. We were actually expecting a swift registration and change status processes but we were so disappointed that it's way too far different from our expectation. We were there at 10 in the morning and went home at 3pm. Tsk!

A lot of blogs that I've read talked about how easy it was to register, change status and even file a transfer of localities in Manila, but I just can't figured it out why it so happen that here in our small town of Calamba Laguna, they don't have an effective system like those COMELEC offices in NCR (which actually has more barangays to accommodate).

Waiting for our stubs to be released... It takes forever!

I actually had 2 days of very bad experiences on it. The first day was when we arrived at around 2 in the afternoon, the guard told us to come back the next day at 6am to get "a numbered ticket". Having our baby along with us was a hassle, but we shrug our shoulders off deciding that we shouldn't bring him the following day. Next day came and we arrived at 10 in the morning since government offices open at 8, but unfortunately the guard informed us that the 1-70 numbered tickets were all given out just before we arrived so he advised us to come back again the next day! It was such a torment since me and hubby took a day off just to process this community obligation so I told the guard that we have to fix everything that day since we have work obligations too and we cant be absent for another day. After my fast pissed off litany, the guard told us to come back at 1pm to have the second batch of numbered tickets to be distributed! What the heck?? If I did not told him the bother it costs us, he will not tell us the best thing to do! What are these guards thinking?!

So as we waited in line, we discovered a lot of people more pissed off than us. Some complained about individuals who've got numbers 69 and 70 done already just before numbers 50 onwards were called. Some left killer stares on students who came before clock strikes 12noon and finished registering after 5mins just because someone they knew gave their forms inside the COMELEC office and off they went in for their turn. Some came from Manila and wishes to transfer but it took them forever because of someone who gets forms of certain groups of boys and pass it inside the COMELEC office so they will be finished off first making the numbered tickets so useless. Every person trying to follow the rules that the COMELEC comittee in Calamba imposed were actually the one sacrificing a LOT and those who tried the ever popular PALAKASAN SYSTEM are making its statement in their office. It will surely get you thinking whether this local registration can really do something in the voting process in 2010. Baka harap-harapang dayaan din 'to... Hmp!

There was even a man who asked a woman COMELEC officer humbly about his voting situation and that officer shouted at the man which made everyone of us there shocked. Tsk, she's shouldn't be in an MASA office without patience and being considerate to a lowly looking person. She maybe thinking that he was a crazy-old man but he really wasn't. I actually tried to talk to him too. Too bad for a COMELEC officer to be that judgmental! Grr! What are these COMELEC employees in-charged thinking?!

Can't you see they're vexed too?! Haay!

More and more people I knew did not even bother to come back and register nor changed their status because of this bulok na sistema of COMELEC officials in Calamba. If and only if they were organized enough to follow their numbered tickets and they assigned persons appropriately, maybe they could be more productive, structured and loved too by the locals (just the same as the bloggers I've met from Manila). You can ask anyone who tried to process their registration here in Calamba, and you'll surely get a lot of different pitiful and resentful stories. I wonder who will blew these persons nerves for them to do what is right and what they are supposed to do even if the registration will end just a few more days from now.

Johnson's Mommy and Me Click

Today was really tiring (but fulfilling) because of all the household chores I did. Our house-help went to Manila with her mom already and I'm currently needing a new nanny/house-help for my kid. Too bad for us, a family of asthmatic, we really need help for all the household chores most of the time. Anyway, since I'm quite drained, I asked Daddy Mike to write a post for me for the fun-filled activity we had at Festival Mall yesterday. I told him that I want to hear his side of story about the event we participated in. Oh, well, he's too busy to maintain his site, so I wasn't really sure if he'll give in to my request. Fortunately, he sweetly said YES.;)

Hello avid readers of Pinknote's Diary! This is a guest post from none other than the guy who took the photo above, haha. We'll I'm not really used to be mushy and all but when talking about the two very important people in my life, that is something I take whole-heartedly. We took this photo yesterday at Festival Mall, Alabang because we decided to have our usual day-out exclusively for the family - no work, no surfing the net, no blogging, just family and doing maintenance in the household.

Jian exerting all of his energy for fun!=D

Getting back to the story, Johnson 'n Johnson held a "mom & baby" event showcasing their baby care products: Baby Milk Bath & Baby Milk Lotion. Our kid was very happy playing in the event, especially where the bubble machine was. He always liked popping bubbles - he stood in front of the bubble machine itself ready to pop all the bubbles that sprung out of it! I really enjoyed watching him play as Mommy looked around (to get some freebies, haha). They were promoting that a mom and her baby can have a great bonding moment while taking a bath as portrayed in their short puppet show. Yes that is true - I see that everytime she gives Jian a bath, and sometimes I am also included in their bonding moments. True enough, it really gives you great joy seeing your wife and son happily playing in your home. She asked me to come with them in the picture above, but I insisted it should be a "mommy and me (baby)" moment for them. They are my pride and joy. I'm no writer of sorts but when she asked me to write this blog entry, I didn't think about the activities that happened in the event like the basketball shooting, or the details of the puppet show, or the photo shoot for mommies and babies; what entered my mind when I saw that picture was their out-of-the-blue bonding moments when they are together.

PLDT My DSL Watch-Pad Lauch at Mag.Net Cafe 2009

PLDT launched its very first bloggers event last Thursday, October 15 at Mag.Net Cafe, Bonifacio High Street. At first I was hesitant to attend since I am not a fan of Gimik Night Life whatsoever, but when Nuffnang teased us bloggers of the 1G USB flash drive wristband we'll be getting, Oh, we just need to go!=D

Ain’t that nice? - images from Nuffnang

Nuffnang and PLDT teams have been so nice that bloggers, specially me and hubby, are so thankful for their hospitality and friendliness. I just couldn't miss how they treat bloggers well and that's the bestest thing ever! =)

Food was great and over-flowing, so to speak!=D
We had fun trying out PLDT My DSL Watch-Pad too!
(Thank God we brought lappy along with us...)

We really had a blast! The star-studded event made us high and we just can't help to take a pic with them. Too bad we haven't got a chance to hang out with Amber Davis and Marcus Evans, but they were awesome too just like Rian Ramos and Jay Durias. Well, as someone who plays in a band in our later years, (haha) me and hubby got more starstruck with Jay. His voice was nothing compare in what we're hearing on our radio and TV, he's much better singing live!

Chillin with the Southborder

Rian is way too pretty in person! Her TV shows don't do her justice..ahaha

At 9pm, the show ended with a contest instruction from PLDT and Nuffnang for everyone to have a chance to win a brand new Lenovo Laptop!
