Hi all!

Today I’m gonna show you what a Cura Box™ is.

Well, Cura means cure in Spanish, and Box basically means box! -_____-

It all started out when I got a brown woven box from Mom,

and began to write this post about nail painting.

If you have not realized, I label all my blog entries about beauty & fashion under “Cura Box™”. It is my favourite label amongst others.

Today this box has evolved into something bigger (because I know I would spend a lot of time creating blog entries around it). It has now become my favourite corner in my suite!

First a box, now a corner; which means bigger ‘box’! I chose to revamp THIS part of my room for the transformation :

This project will not have come true if not for my Mom & Dad.

I told Mom about this problem I have (the furniture arrangements in my chamber were not very strategic) and so Mum told Dad about it, and we all went to IKEA – where all dreams come true. lol

I told myself that the man I marry has to at LEAST promise me a walk-in closet this big or I’d rather be an old virgin.

On a random note, if not a wedding planner or kindergarten Speech & Drama teacher, my dream is to work in IKEA. That’s how much I love it! – I (really, seriously, honestly) don’t mind going there to work every day.

PERHAPS THAT WILL SOLVE MY QUARTER-LIFE CRISIS!!! T_____T

Anyway, 1 major problem with my room was, there ain’t no dressing table. I did all my makeup sitting on a carpet in front of a mirror. So when I saw this beautiful dressing table :

I want to have it too!

Picture taken using my berry 8520. It’s so easy having a berry. You know sometimes, you just don’t feel like carrying a camera around (furniture shopping)? Please. Haha!

But you’ll never know if you need to use a camera; so this is where my berry comes in. Any phones can take pictures, but with berry, I can TwitPic it to my followers on-the-spot OR send it thru BBM to my other friends who has a berry phone. Berry berry good! xD

The first thing Dad did when he reached home was to FIX THE TABLE!

Dad thought of ‘carpenting’ on the fler’s own box so he doesn’t scratch the tiles. Good idea.  ^^

Pulling off the ugly blue protector sticker – I find this to be the most fun part of the whole process lol. Easiest too.

Next you’ll need a stool that is NOT so heavy, & a furry carpet underneath the table possibly.

Mom chose this cute cube. Even pink baby loves it.  ^o^

You’ll also need good lighting to create good makeup looks on your canvas.

Get one using bulbs please. The ones using hydrogen are heat-y and they give you freckles in the long run as they have UV ray. Dad chose this one for me.

I like how this ‘project’ was like a team work thing – I chose my fav dressing table, Mom picked the stool, Dad got the lamp… Bergotong-royong amalan mulia! Hahahahahahahah…

Now on How to Make Your Own Cura Box™, you will need 5 things.

1. Cards

X’mas cards, birthday cards, thank you notes; ALL the cards you had ever received. Take them all out and stick them on 1 side (1 side is enough) of your box’s wall with masking tape.

Why masking tape? Unlike Scotch or double-faced tapes, masking tapes do not tear off your paint. Never trust anything with two faces. -_____-

2. Your baby picture in a frame

For nostalgic purposes. Don’t ask me what for JUST PUT IT and you’ll understand why.

3. Perfume bottles

It’s just classic.

So just do it.

Here I have too many I had to keep some in the drawers *POTONG STIM!*

4. Charm bracelet / Your favourite accessory

It was when Thomas Sabo first came to Malaysia I saw the spread of charms they have in a shiny glass box @ Bangsar with Jeremy. Amongst so many designs, somehow this charm stood out. It has a heart hanging inside the cura treasure box!; which is now lost somewhere out there.  )))=

I accidentally squealed seeing how beauty it was & the next thing I know, I got it for Christmas. yay~ <3

“NO NO NOT just staying with me.. u can also wear my nightie dress accessories makeup toiletries etc all that you… can think off. then we can have brunch dinner supper together just like 3 yrs ago.. and cont’ our endless story till the color of the sky turn midnight blue share the same dream till 12. haha the next day we can flirt around like nobody cares and walk down the st like watak of ’sex and the city’ .. omg i have got to prepare a list for us )))”

I FEEL SO WELCOMED, I’M SO HAPPY!!! SO EXCITED I CAN FEEL MY HEART JUMPING CUZ MY FEET CAN’T AT THE MOMENT (at the office)!

Does departing makes you cry? The only girl who managed to make me shed tears so far is none other than my bestest friend Ai Rene. I never dropped a tear for any friend who left me to another country before. But every time this girl does it, I can never stop myself from feeling very… very.. very uber sad.

I met her at the Tasmania airport. Maybe earlier, complete strangers. It was the first time in my life leaving Malaysia to stay in a foreign country. This may sound like a simple sentence but trust me, it wasn’t all that easy.

I was by myself, had no one; and by fate, God arranged us to meet. Sounds so gay but no, we like beef.

At the corner of my eyes I saw this girl in turquoise. She didn’t look too stuck up nor too friendly. She has this very neutral facial expression with a hidden faint smile in her. With her specs on, I thought she is getting a cert in education or something, but it turned out to be MASTERS in Architecture O.o”

I remember clearly how it was like. The hot summer air, the deceiving wind, the air smelt like hay… Our cab ride from the airport to town was when we started introducing ourselves. I immediately knew this girl is awesome! She is my favourite Rolling Stone mag.

There’s this coincidence that I really love about us. My full name, is Tey Cindy, while her name is Tan Ai Rene. So there is no Cindy Tey Xin Yi or Airene Tan Ai Ling. That wouldn’t have make any sense at all.  xD

Our upbringings are pretty much similar considering the fact that both our mothers were school teachers! Plus, PLUS, our mothers are from North Malaysia, a neighbouring state; which means we naturally have the same slang when we speak! It’s like the bahasa in Kelantan is very much different from the bahasa we use down South.

This was where we used to hang out. It became a compulsory for me to buy soy milk here at this cafe’ and this red shirt fler would make fun of me. Misses it deadly!

Ai Rene & I can talk about aaaaanything and by anything, I meant 360 degrees. We discussed about all areas a woman has in her life, or we can not talk, and still feel like we talked. HAHA (like Ultramans).

Give me a pie it will never become a chart because when it comes to this friendship, division does not exists. Both of us can share (AND perfectly agree in the differences of) our thoughts / views. This is very crucial in every relationship don’t you agree?

There is a thin fine line in everything, but with Ai Rene, everything is made easy. Barriers will never build up and get in the way.

& oh. ANOTHER thing I looovvveee about her is her spontaneity. Seriously! No one I know rocks life with the right momentum but this girl. It is always good to have a balance in everything and usually Libras have that, but sadly they are not the most rational creatures on earth. Ai Rene knows how to break even between work N’ play.

The picture above is about our unforgettable trip to Melaka with two guys. One of em is my ex. Haha what the – ALL spontaneous people who just hit the road, jump into a car, N’ GO. Loves it!

I believe life is to be loved. But the people around me; their stupidity and negativity always fails my stand on this. And no one, no one gives me the kind of vibe and force to ‘live life love it’ but this BFF of mine. I feel so lucky.

After a year of not having Ai Rene in my life, finally she came back to tanah air for a month. Even though we only managed to spend 2 days together, I am glad. I am so glad to find out that time and distance does not change anything between us. NOT A BIT I SWEAR. That makes us stronger than a couple undergoing LDR (long distance relationship)!

we were just trying to show off our newly painted toe nails in the nail bar but the Philippino lady chopped our feet off. lol

I miss Ai Rene. I miss her! Can die.

Thank God I’m flying to Australia this May ‘10 to find her. Whatever it is, nothing is gonna stop me from going. If I have to quit my job, then maybe I have to~ I am gravely starting to think that all this is starting to sound so so gay but hey, gay (happy) it is!

Gold Coast Brisbane is the way to go, baybeh~! Just like the old times. Just like the old times. Maybe I’ll find some inspiration there with the hand of this angel of mine, continue my Masters there… & hey! That means Cin City would under Nuffnang OZ! Would you still like it that way?

ku tidak sanggup menyeksa jiwaku sendiri sebegini lagi. apakah gunanya jari-jari kecil ini jika tidak boleh menaip sewaktu mulut tidak berhak bersuara?

setiap kali ku cuba meluahkan sesuatu, ada-ada aja karenahnya. macam budak banyak songel. tapi hakikatnya, secebisan kecil hatiku telah hilang entah kemana. matlamatku adalah untuk melengkapkan teka-teki ini.

tapi… bolehkah ini dijadikan matlamat hidup? rasanya seperti melayari kapal sebesar banglo semata-mata untuk mencari seutas rantai emas dalam lautan luas berbisa. adakah anda rasa akan kuseperti budak yang tidak gerti menghargai??? janganlah.

majoriti memberitahuku – hidup ni memanglah begitu. kerja 9 jam sehari, balik rumah tidur. hari minggu, makan, pastu tidur. laa eee lahhh! beginikah caranya hidupmu para pembaca?

udahlah – tidak payah menyuap kata-kata seperti “inilah hidup, kalau tidak macam mane?”. itu kutahu. nanti tau banyak sangat jadi tauhu pulak krang~ pastu jadi tempeh. berbau!

insan ini diselubungi kuasa-kuasa jahat cinta. cinta-cinta tulen daripada insan-insan lain. ku tidak perlu cinta orang ramai; kerna ku ada ibu bapa, adik seekor, dan 5 lagi rakan sebati jiwaku. itu sudah amat memuaskan kerna kutidak minat orang asing. tetapi…

bila ku berada di tempat duduk ini sorang kat ofis, jam dihadapanku kelihatan bulat-bulat macam jam mati. DEATH CLOCK! sitting here counting the time, ya Allah ya Rabbiiii… time is precious, why kill it? aku bukanlah jugak nak ‘kill it’, cuma… you know what i mean. Unless u bodoh. =p

untuk kali pertama dalam hidupku, for so long, ku tak tahu apa yang ku mahu lagi. adakah ia penting? of coz! tapi… where do i start? where did u start? ke u tak pernah nak start. ha! cuba u fikir baik-baik.

Carpet fucks my life. In a good, and bad way. Seriously. How does she do it?

First, she lets you think she is very cute and guai. You’ll definitely let her out (the cage) right? You see! So cute!!

Curious Carpet wondering what’s inside my room. She was peeping for sooo long I thought, why not~ Just let her in.

Let her in, she wondered what’s outside. T__________T But I won’t let her out the room again lah duh!, she just went in.

Because the floor felt too slippery for her paws, she geram-ed and continuously stretched like a Carpet. Got pun.

Since she was so geram I let her out, she RAN away from me to squeeze herself into a corner.

Fat butt!! Thank God there was the existence of this cube or she would’ve ran under the fridge again and FML x10.

Padan muka! Got stuck. I didn’t wanna budge the box; observed her in that position for a couple of minutes, see what she’s gonna do.

She closed her eye lids. SO CUTE wtf! Seriously cannot tahan the fler~

So I released Si Permaidani Putih comel cantik giler.

Now that I’ve most prolly made you love her more, I shall let you feel a 5% of what I felt after this hedgehog cheated my deep kam cheng -

NAH! She pushed her butt against a very hard-to-clean corner, PEED and SHITTED there like damn syiok liddat.

Release her for 15 minutes I need to clean TWO carpets of shit. FML

I’m not gonna lie to you. My life has been as dull as a dry bone of a dodol after Chinese New Year.

I lost my passion and direction in life. GREAT! I almost finished typing a whole post about how I feel, but I think I’d better save you the drama and share 2 ridiculously FUNNY videos with you.
