Civil Union in Delaware/Delaware Videographer

With the event season really swinging into full-gear this weekend, I just needed to take the time to post that we have booked our first civil union. Glenn and Duncan will be exchanging vows in October at Baywood Greens. Andrew Nock Photography referred them to us. (His engagement portraits on his blog are wonderful.)

We are really looking forward to doing their ceremony and reception.

I Couldn’t Have Said It Better/Eastern Shore Videographer

Last week a very nice lady from England brought us an old Betamax videotape from 1986 which had the Royal Wedding of Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson on it. We converted it to DVD for her. While playing it, I heard something that I thought was a great recommendation for videotaping weddings. I couldn't have said it better myself. This is what I posted on Facebook:

Video and Film Transfers/Eastern Shore Video Productions

With the recent closing of Hobby Horse in Easton, MD, Marsh Video Productions wants to assure the residents of Delaware and the Eastern Shore that we are still doing film and videotape transfers to DVD. We can handle all tape formats (Betamax, 8mm, Hi-8mm, Digital-8 tape, VHS, S-VHS, 3/4 inch tape, as well as DV tapes).

We also transfer old 8mm and Super 8 film, as well as 16mm film. Check us out on Facebook or Marsh Video’s website.

In order to ensure holiday delivery, we must have film orders by 12/01. (Deadline for tape transfers is 12/15.)

Wedding in Talbot County/Eastern Shore Videographer

JD and Kiki were married at Old St. Joseph’s Mission Church in Cordova, Maryland. Their reception was at the home of JD’s parents in St. Michaels, Maryland. Most of Kiki’s family is still in Cuba, and were unable to attend the wedding. We are so happy they chose us to record the day for them.

I Love You, You’re Perfect, Now Change/Delaware Videographer

We had the pleasure of videotaping the dress rehearsal last night of “I Love You, You’re Perfect, Now Change” at the Riverfront Theatre in Milford, Delaware. The four cast members from the Second Street Players perform all the roles. Very nice job!

Crazy July/Eastern Shore Videographer

Starting July 1, when we went to the Castleton Festival in Virginia and videotaped La Boheme for Maestro Lorin Maazel, my mantra has been, “Just get through July, just get through July…” We are officially done with July, so I decided it was definitely time to get a blog entry done.

Although I have posted some quick entries to my Facebook page, I have terribly neglected my blog. After three operas and three weddings in July, I am ready for a break. However, all of this beautiful material must be edited, so our work is not done yet. But it is all post-production, at least until we hit September. Even though we have an editing studio set up at our place near Bethany Beach, it is hard to work when everyone else is playing. (Not that Case and his Marsh Video don’t have a boatload of work to finish–between his corporate clients and film transfers, he has much to do.)

Anyway, we ended the month with a bang. John and Michelle’s wedding at Grace United Methodist Church and their reception at the Hyatt Regency Chesapeake Bay in Cambridge, Maryland, were great. They had their rehearsal dinner at Mitchum’s Steakhouse in Trappe. We videotaped the rehearsal dinner, and projected their “slideshow” on a big screen for everyone to enjoy.

Congratulations Bryan and Sarah!/Eastern Shore Videographer

Our dear friends Pam and Irwin finally married off their oldest son Bryan. Case and I had the great pleasure of actually being guests at the wedding reception this past Saturday (we even got to sit at the parents' table). The party was held at Boswell Hall in Bowie Maryland. (Bryan and Sarah had gotten married the day before at the courthouse in Upper Marlboro.)

Bryan works for the Baltimore Orioles as the "In-Game Entertainment Manager"-he's the guy who does the special videos for the jumbotron, among other videography. Sarah teaches in Montgomery County. Good food, drink, and music=good times for all, especially for Case and me. What a nice break for us during this crazy time of the year.

We couldn't be happier for them. All our best wishes for a long, happy life together.
