I travel to Seattle frequently and the Cascade mountains are my favorite things to shoot from up high. Shasta, the Three Sisters, Crater Lake, Adams, what’s left of St. Helens and finally Rainier all provide gorgeous landmarks on the flight. Rarely is the contrast very good, normally just slight shade of blue and white, so I prefer to use high contrast black and white to bring out a dark mood and let the mountains jump out from the clouds. Here are <a title="Mt.

On my path to putting out a book of these portraits I’m starting to pull out the next set of images, my seconds. I definitely need to be spending more time on this set of images as it’s much larger and as of yet mostly unprocessed. What’s ready so far is now available of Flickr.

My plan is to use Blurb Bookmarker to publish the book. My previous attempts have shown their quality to be high and I haven’t yet tried their premium paper. I’ll most likely have a small book printed to try it out first before going for the large format. Prices aren’t cheap but the layout tool is exceptional. Too bad I can’t print then bind these at home – does Epson make a double sided Premium Luster?

Below is an image of DJ Pinky from the set, at total peace.
