The Overwhelming Feeling of Being Watched

I received the following anecdote last week:

Lon,

Let me just start by wishing you the best and hoping you have a speedy recovery, I truly enjoy all that you do. I've had an interest in Cryptozoology and U.F.O.s since I was around the age of 9. I admit the Loch Ness Monster is what got me interested in Cryptids soon after Bigfoot and so on. U.F.O.s were fascinating to me as a kid as the old show 'Sightings' was running along with 'Unsolved Mysteries' which occasionally included things of this type. Anyway I wanted to share an unusual experience I had back in 2006 with you. Maybe for a change I can entertain you with a good read.

This happened back when I was living in Los Angeles (El Sereno to be exact). This was the year after I turned 18 and my daughter was born nine days after my 18th birthday. I didn't live in a great area, a lot of gang activity and such. Anyway I had gotten a job in May of that year working at a store. The only bad thing about my job is I worked in the evening and didn't have a car at the time but I didn't mind as it was a 10 minute walk to and from, plus I needed the money with my daughter being born in 2005 and all.

So anyway I had been working there for a few months and nothing out of the ordinary happened on my trips home which usually took place at 11:00 PM or later (latest being about 2:00 AM). Usually my daughter's mother wanted to be on the phone with me on my way home. She usually would be a bit worried, so one particular night as soon as I exited the store I got the overwhelming feeling of being watched. As I stated earlier I didn't live in the best area at the time so I carried a knife on me. I couldn't help but to tightly grip the handle as I exited the building and had that feeling. This night was different in many ways besides the feeling of being watched, my daughter's mother was very tired and so our conversation was very brief.

It was a bit darker than usual as clouds covered the moon. The street I would walk up did not have any street lights so at this time it was near being pitch black. I couldn't help but to keep looking over my shoulder gripping my knife tighter as I walked. Towards the end of my walk the street comes to the back entrance to a small apartment building and a hill. As I approached closer to this point I could notice what I thought was a person crouching on the hill. I know most the people in my area and figured it was just one of the neighborhood guys that often hung around the hill area.

As I approached closer and with the little light that shined from the backyard of a neighbors house, I noticed the shape of the head of the thing I was looking at was larger than a human head - sort of almond shaped if I had to describe it. I could feel it looking at me and I just gripped tighter on the handle of my knife. T,his is the feeling I felt as I walked out the door of the store I worked out. It was more intense this time around because I felt this is what was watching me, I could feel it's eyes on me as I came to point of either cutting through the apartments or walking up the hill to get to my street it let out a low ugly growl that I've never heard from an animal and could not duplicate myself even if I tried. As most would I was to the point if I was walking any faster I'd be running all the time my hand hurting from squeezing the handle of my knife so tight.

I got to my street safely after cutting through the back end of the apartments. I thought this would be the end of it but as I neared close to my house, after looking behind much of the way, I noticed walking in my direction a lady with a limp with long stringy hair. This was not someone living on our street so I opened our gate and stood in the driveway hoping to see her pass - she never did. I went inside and that ended this strange night.

I can't say whether this was something extraterrestrial or something else all I know is it was not a person and I can not figure out what the lady had to do with any of this. It's been almost 6 years and I still remember this vividly as if it was just the other day. Thank you for taking the time to read this Lon and wish you the best.

I'd like my name be kept out of the story if you decide to share this with other readers. Some day when I have some time to myself I will share with you my only U.F.O. encounter as well which is another strange story a year before this occurred. Keep up the great work.

NOTE: this scenario is similar to several 'shadow people' encounters I have heard over the years. Many times these beings follow a victim to wherever they are going, then either disappear or harass the victim for an extended period. I'd be interested in the readers' thoughts...Lon

The Actuality of Alien / Human Hybrids

In George Filer's latest newsletter, he describes a couple who state that their son was conceived during an alien abduction. It's an interesting narrative (posted below) with an 'RH blood factor' theory that makes one ponder as to its relevance and implications.

Most of us are familiar with the 'alien probe' abduction scenario. Human males have reported sperm being removed or, in some cases, they are forced to inseminate an alien 'female'. As well, many human female abductees claim that they are artificially inseminated with 'alien sperm'...thus having a relatively short gestation period then giving birth to a hybrid being. On the other hand, if one assumes that the theories of aliens on Earth are true, then there has been a very long history of interaction. This would involve altered genetics...a mixing of the species. If this is the case, then we are all alien / human hybrids anyway. What makes one person a 'hybrid' and the others not?

I've included a few anecdotes of those who claim their children are 'hybrids' and/or consider themselves the same.

STAR CHILD?

The Reed's truly believe their alien encounters involved gene manipulation, and why the amplification of insight documented was so apparent in the children. Much has been witnessed by others outside an academic and testing environment, with academic and medical testing supporting something vastly elevated.

With regard to this heightened ability Thomas shares a thought regarding another possible level or plan within ourselves, an understanding that 99.99% of us can't access, this insight is fueled by his son. He suggests that perhaps we are not ready to access or even understand this, or is it something that has just yet to fully develop. We cannot access more than a fraction of our brain to begin with, so why have it? Even those with 140 - 170 IQ's that suddenly become a member of Mensa, are not using any addition part of the brain, just using it a tad more proficiently. It's safe to say we're barbaric in nature, would it not be used for the wrong reasons. Even In its mildest examples in or around the Reed's home it has lasting impressions, and at times troublesome realizations.

With that said many whom they have spoken with that have also had a similar abduction encounter, were exceedingly intelligent, most were adolescents with high IQ's, healthy and were primarily RH Negative. All by chance? (Healthy and advanced in multiply ways already, w/ immaculate blood cells, no coatings)

They share a theory that we will one day find that the RH Negative factor may have many variations as blood types themselves. Leading Tom to feel because the rh. negative factor or cell is flawlessly clean and in its pure form, it's also key to something much larger. Such as having traits to something other than prehistoric man, and having some relevance in the stimulating of regions within our brain. Combined with other factors, promoting an elevated consciousness, or a better word, wakefulness.

This elevated awareness and heighten ability is quite evident in Tom's brother's youngest child and his son, the abilities are also medically documented, support by their school records, to include IQ testing and epidemic placement. He has yet to find any other link or association that would support or have contributed to the level in which these two can almost flaunt this wakefulness at times. Per the boy's school records, Chance is a remarkable boy testing well in the superior rang and classified at 127% in the country, per the Gifted Matrix, the Exceptional Student Evaluation, a KABC-11, and The Kaufman Achievement. Chance has also experienced surprisingly accurate foresight in relation to seemingly ominous but deceptive or harmful situations. He predicted a considerably detailed event, weeks prior to the actual occurrence, involving a woman, a white automobile, and several occupants. It's recorded that the boy normally achieves, more than twice the national standard of coincidental accuracy when selecting numbers and or Zener cards. Chance has routinely exercised a much greater then chance ratio, when tested for Coordinate, Outbound, Beacon, and Associative categories of remote viewing. DELIA

Delia, a Puerto Rican woman, is just one of many women who have been abducted by a UFO. Delia is married and has two other children, one is 16 years old and the other 5.

The following is a narration of Delia's extraordinary experience. She describes how she was abducted, got pregnant by an extraterrestrial, and finally gave birth to a child which she describes as "half human and half extraterrestrial."

Here is her story.

"One day during the month of October, a friend and I were at a Yoga Center. In this place various yoga activities are celebrated and also people go there to meditate. It was 7:30 p.m. when my friend and I decided to retire and go to sleep.

Then, all of a sudden somebody put their hand on my face. I couldn't see who it was because the room was dark.

Suddenly, I was suspended in the air flying towards a direction that was totally unknown to me. While I was being transported in the air, I could see below myself houses and trees. At that moment I was so scared that I couldn't move, speak or scream.

I calculate that the time had elapsed while I was being transported was approximately from 7:30 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. I was in my room when I woke up at 5:00 a.m. Immediately, I started vomiting and all my body was in terrible pain.

After a while, I felt a little better and I went to talk to Swami, who is the director of the Yoga Center. I told him how terrible I felt and what had happened to me. He told me to go back to my room and sleep until 12:00 noon and that when I woke up I would feel much better, which happened.

After this I was left with a strange sensation which is difficult to explain. One of the sensations was in my vaginal (area), the other was in my mind... my way of thinking. Before I didn't give too much importance to the simple things that surrounded me, and now all of a sudden I began to notice how beautiful the sky was and also feeling a great amount of love towards other people. In other words, my life had changed completely.

Time passed by and it was already December - three months after my extraordinary experience. During these three months, I had noticed that my period occurred every 50 days, not every 27 days, or so, as would normally happen. Also, my stomach had enlarged just a little. Time passed by and then I had another encounter with a UFO.

Suddenly, I found myself in a metallic room where there were 12 small men (not human) all dressed in grey. In this room I was lying in a metallic bed where I can clearly remember giving birth to a child, just like a normal birth to this child, because my two other children had been born by Cesarean. Then suddenly I fell asleep. when I woke up I saw one of the extraterrestrials with a child in his arms.

When I saw this child something deep inside of me told me he was my child, but I also remember being afraid. I remember telling one of the extraterrestrials that I considered this child strange (because he was "half human and half" extraterrestrial)

Also, I can remember telling myself that even though this child was strange I had to accept and love him because he was my child. Also, the way he looked at me and the expression on his face confirmed this to me. After a moment, the extraterrestrial brought the child to me so that I could hold him.

Even though I know he belongs to me, I cannot have him. And, because of this, my pain and sorrow cannot go away. They told me that he could not live with me because he could not eat the food that we human beings eat. While I held him in my arms I didn't want to let him go. I held him very tight. Then the extraterrestrials took him away from me and escorted me to the entrance of the flying saucer.

After these two experiences, I have had two more. The other two occurred when they brought me the child so that I could be with him. They do so by transporting me by air, holding the child in my arms.

While I am being transported, I have noticed that they make like a certain experiment with me. I remember feeling fear, like if the child would just fall right out of my arms. I suppose that they do this to see how mother human beings instincts are towards their children.

At the present, my two children have also had UFO experiences. They both have developed a certain kind of mental abilities and presently are being studied by them. I can't help worrying that probably one of these days my children can also be abducted."

THE COSTCO BABY

In September 2009, a Memphis, TN woman called into TN MUFON to report that she was sure she had just had an encounter with an alien/human hybrid baby at Cosco's in Cordova, Tennessee. She and her granddaughter had gone there to pick-up a birthday cake. As soon as they walked through the entrance, a tall Asian-looking man, who was apparently in a big hurry, walked directly across their path almost running into them. He was dressed casually in all black clothing and had a Caucasian-looking infant in a carrier basket strapped in front of him. He seemed to take no notice whatsoever of her and her granddaughter as he marched on past them without one word of apology for his near collision with them. My correspondent, who has asked to remain anonymous, told me that seeing a man of Asian descent who was over six feet tall was in itself unusual, but she had to confess that the racial contradiction between himself and his infant companion startled her more than anything else.

She didn't get a good look at the baby at that time. If she had, she might have stopped in her tracks right then and there and asked her granddaughter, "did you see that?" But neither she or her granddaughter commented at that moment about this sudden "close encounter." They just proceeded on back to the bakery as if nothing had happened. After they purchased the cake, they started heading towards the entrance to leave. As they did so, the lady told me she spotted this Asian fellow moving rapidly down some aisles and taking a quick, sharp right-angle turn to cross over to another aisle. He didn't have a shopping cart and hadn't picked up one item from the shelves. Maybe he was just anxiously looking for one thing for some emergency need, possibly to do with the baby.

Just as the lady and her granddaughter were approaching the front of the store to leave, the second "close encounter" occurred. The Asian man suddenly appeared again and walked by them. My witness then got a good look at the baby. This woman swears to me that this infant had intensely bright blue eyes with no white area surrounding them! I talked to other researchers like Linda Howe about this report and was assured that these all blue-eyed people are being seen all over now in different parts of the country, adults as well as children. The Native American Medicine woman Three-Spirit Wolf who spoke in Memphis last June told us after hearing this recent story from Memphis that she had met some of the hybrids out in New Mexico last year. They were wearing dark sunglasses. One of them removed his glasses to reveal his utterly eerie-looking all-blue eyes without the white. He asked her if people had commented to her about seeing him or some of his other hybrid companions. Apparently they are trying to be as inconspicuous as possible in public.

Top alien abduction researcher Dr. David Jacobs of Temple University is convinced that the alien hybridization program is alarmingly evident in our society now. I know this lady who reported seeing the all blue-eyed baby in Memphis just the other day. I can vouch for her credibility. She saw what she saw. Maybe this can be explained as some weird new mutation showing up in the human eye at this time...or maybe it is true that "they" now walk among us.

(Postscript: the lady told me that when they got back home, she asked her granddaughter what she thought about seeing the strange Asian man and his blue-eyed baby in the carrier. The lady had thought it a little curious in fact that her granddaughter who usually comments on seeing cute babies in public had not said one word about this. I'M A HYBRID'

Then there's the case of Milagros Garcia who claims she is an alleged Alien and Human inter-species hybrid. The blood DNA from this Puerto Rican woman has yielded analyses so unusual and interesting that the physician involved is now interested in meeting the subject for further study. The DNA is possible in humans but is very rare.

Ms. Garcia claims that she is the offspring of an alien encounter. The Doctor is not interested in the UFO/ alien phenomena he wants answers as to why her DNA has such rare qualities.

A case similar to this was also investigated in New Paris, Ohio. A woman there has exceptional skills and gets by on two hours of sleep a night....this according to a witness report.

THE BREEDER

Murwillumbah Highway, near Lismore, NSW, Australia - 1996 - 7:30 am

John, the witness, was driving back from Lismore when his car suddenly stopped. He checked under the hood but could not find anything obvious, so he decided to start walking to get help. John stated that he had a strange feeling like something was touching his spine. He looked up to see 2 bright white lights about 500m above and heard what he described as like the sound of an arc welder.

He noticed that there were trucks driving by on the road. John then hit the ground and rolled down the embankment. He then noticed a "gray" alien, which said to him, "you can't get away" and grabbed him by the arm and proceeded towards one of the "motherships". John stated that the craft was shaped like Egyptian "Eye of Osiris", metallic and gunmetal gray with no apparent openings. He said that both walked straight through the wall.

The alien (who John learned his name was Theoraba) took him inside and observed other aliens working on computers etc. He also noticed what he now calls "baby aliens" in flasks of red, green-orange solution. John asked Theoraba "what are those"? Theoraba replied that they were "baby aliens". Theoraba then asked him, "Would you like to have something to do with these in the future"? Two aliens then grabbed his arms and legs as he was approached by a female alien who he thought was a half human "hybrid", with the body of a woman, long arms, 5 fingers and very dark black eyes. He was told that the aliens wanted him to father children for them, and at this point John began to panic.

The female alien then took on a more human appearance as he then became sexually aroused and made love to the female alien. A metal object was later introduced into his anal cavity and a patch of skin from his left palm was taken for "DNA" samples. When he asked about the skin sample he was told that their planet had "blown up" and that in order to continue their species and ensure that genetic inbreeding didn't occur that hybrids were the only alternative.

That same year on another occasion John was walking along the road at Kingscliffe and saw two "motherships" again, and shouted at them to leave him alone. Apparently he met the now familiar gray alien who told him that they had inserted an implant in his finger.

On another occasion whilst out in the bush John encountered a female alien hybrid, which he assumes was one of his offspring. He communicated with her telepathically. He states that she was quite young and because of this was wearing what he assumed to be breathing apparatus, which went from around her head into her mouth and nostrils. He was told that she was unable to breathe in our atmosphere yet. John claims he has 5 male and 1 female hybrid offspring.

ANTONIO VILLAS BOAS

On October 15, 1957 near Sao Francisco de Salles in Minas Gerais, Brazil - Antonio Villas Boas, a 23-year-old Brazilian farmer, was working at night to avoid the hot temperatures of the day. On October 16, 1957, he was plowing fields near São Francisco de Sales when he saw what he described as a "red star" in the night sky. According to Antonio, this star approached him, growing in size until it became recognizable as a roughly circular or egg-shaped craft, with a red light at its front and a rotating dome on top. The craft began descending to land in the field, extending three legs as it did so. At that point, Boas decided to leave.

According to Boas, he first attempted to leave the scene on his tractor, but when its lights and engine died after traveling only a short distance, he decided to continue on foot. However, he was seized by a five-foot tall humanoid, who was wearing grey coveralls and a helmet. Its eyes were small and blue, and instead of speech it made noises like barks or yelps. Three similar beings then joined the first in subduing Boas, and they dragged him inside their craft.

Once inside the craft, Boas said that he was stripped of his clothes and covered from head-to-toe with a strange gel. He was then led into a large semicircular room, through a doorway that had strange red symbols written over it. (claimed that he was able to memorize these symbols and later reproduced them for investigators) In this room the beings took samples of Boas' blood from his chin. After this he was then taken to a third room and left alone for around half an hour. During this time, some kind of gas was pumped into the room, which made Boas become violently ill.

Shortly after, Boas claimed that he was joined in the room by another humanoid. This one, however, was female, very attractive, and naked. She was the same height as the other beings he had encountered, with a small, pointed chin and large, blue catlike eyes. The hair on her head was long and white but her underarm and pubic hair were bright red. Boas said he was strongly attracted to the woman, and the two had sexual intercourse. During this act, Boas noted that the female did not kiss him but instead nipped him on the chin and, like the others he had encountered, made barking noises instead of speech.

When it was over, the female smiled at Boas, rubbing her belly and gestured upwards. Boas took this to mean that she was going to raise their child in space. The female seemed relieved that their "task" was over, and Boas himself said that he felt angered by the situation, because he felt as though he had been little more than "a good stallion" for the humanoids.

Boas said that he was then given back his clothing and taken on a tour of the ship by the humanoids. During this tour he said that he attempted to take a clock-like device as proof of his encounter, but was caught by the humanoids and prevented from doing so. He was then escorted off the ship and watched as it took off, glowing brightly. When Boas returned home, he discovered that four hours had passed. The Secret Satanic Conspiracy Behind Madonna’s Halftime

Sure, M.I.A.'s waggling middle finger caused a grand mal kerfuffle among the 37 Super Bowl viewers who were still sober enough to notice it. But far more insidious symbolism was at play during the 2012 halftime show. We are referring to, of course, the subliminal Satanic-Illuminati-Freemason messages that permeated Madonna's set.

What's that? You didn't see them? For shame! Well, fortunately for you, the internet is with teeming with eagle-eyed conspiracy theorists who can distinguish a covert Baphomet from your run-of-the-mill Rosicrucian sigil. Here are the underworld implications of Madge's song-and-dance number.

First off, here's the halftime show in case you missed it. Just to editorialize for a minute, last year's Black Eyed Peas performance was infinitely more hellish, but that halftime show was obviously in cahoots with the Antichrist's global technocalypse plot, which is a totally different thing. Also, fuck this year's show for no "La Isla Bonita." The only time a halftime show disappointed me more was when Prince eschewed "Erotic City."

Moving on, the show's pan-antiquity pageantry has caused a deluge of digital ink to engulf the electronic diaries of folks who presumably divined the name of JFK's true assassin from Where's Waldo books. Here are some salient observations from the website Hollywood Illuminati, who dubs the flippant M.I.A. a "Satanic rapping cheerleader":

One couldn't help but notice the two Satan horns coming up from Madonna's head gear. The Romans didn't wear helmets with horns nor can this be found in Egypt head gear being that she did mix in some Egyptian ritual dancing [...]

We see a black guy dancing around Madonna with Angel Wings and a harp. Lucifer, was the angel of music and the arts before he fell from heaven [...]

We see the male dancers doing acrobats for her track "Music". During this chaos, there were two male dancers that got down on all fours, like the Muslims do when they pray to Allah [...]

Well, someone really went the extra mile to indict both Islam and the greeting card industry! The Sumerian symbolism watchdog site Vigilant Citizen also weighs in and accuses Ms. Ciccone of aping the Babylonian deity Ishtar and brainwashing Nicky Minaj:

Instead of being presented as full-fledged artists contributing to Madonna's song, they are portrayed as her "minions" who are cheering for the industry's High Priestess. This "relationship" where Madonna is in power – and therefore the handler – is drenched in Mind Control symbolism, specifically Beta Programming, also know Sex Kitten Programming. Another symbol associated with Sex Kitten programming is feline prints clothing and textiles. The entire half-time show was an animal-print extravaganza. - io9

'Killer Beast' warning in northern Scotland

North-coast crofters are being warned to be on the lookout for a "killer beast" which is rumoured to be prowling the fields of the Far North.

It comes after the carcase of a ewe was found stripped to the bone at Swordly, near Bettyhill, in north Sutherland.

Andy McLachlan (54), of Kirtomy, said a big cat has been spotted on the border between Caithness and north Sutherland on a number of occasions. He said the potential danger the animal presents was displayed last month when the sheep was killed.

The attack is thought to have taken place around Saturday, January 28, on livestock belonging to crofter George Mackay.

His son, Liam, was looking after the croft when he went to replenish the ring feeder. During the course of his duties he found the carcase of the sheep, which was left with nothing but its hide and skeleton.

Mr McLachlan said the carcase may have been around a week old, but claimed it would have taken a large animal, not native to the Far North, to kill the sheep.

"The carcase was lying right beside the ring feeder when it was found and nobody had seen it the week before," he told the Caithness Courier.

"The kill was far too clean to have been done by a fox as they would have ripped the fleece and pieces of skin would have been scattered when eating the sheep.

"But this was like the entire skin of the animal had been peeled back by whatever had consumed it. I have never seen anything like it in this part of the world and have warned crofters to keep a lookout."

Mr McLachlan claimed he first saw the big cat when he was lamping for foxes in the Swordly area in December. He said the animal is around the same size as a medium-sized dog but looks like a jet-black cat.

"I first saw the animal when I picked up a set of eyes and presumed it was an ordinary cat," he said.

"But when I started to use my squeaker, which simulates a rabbit’s scream and which I use to attract foxes, it started to come closer. I shone my lamp on it when it was around 125 to 150 yards away from where my vehicle was and, when I saw it properly, I realised it was a very big cat.

"It had to be around the size of a collie or a springer spaniel, but it was definitely a big cat. Once it caught my scent, it took about two leaps, which stretched 30 feet, and ran back into the woods."

He also claimed to have seen the cat last week, once again in the Swordly area, near the A836, but was unsure whether it was the same animal.

UFO report in North London after mystery deep humming

A mysterious deep humming sound coming from all directions at once has inspired a UFO report in Primrose Hill.

The green open space has been a site of pilgrimage for Druids throughout the centuries, but at least one person thought otherworldly forces were at work at the nature spot this week.

An eyewitness, who recorded his name only as Andy G, made a report to the UK UFO Sightings website at 6am last Friday.

It said: Having a break at work in the early hours on Primrose Hill, no sighting but a deep resonating humming sound coming from the near distance but unable to place the source as it came from all directions at once, but strangely from no specific direction.

It is difficult to explain, and was witnessed by three other people at the same time.

Camden Town Cllr Chris Naylor speculated the activity could be linked to recent revelations that a 30-metre statue inspired by the iconic Christ in Rio de Janeiro could be erected on Primrose Hill to celebrate the end of the Olympic Games.

He said: Maybe the plans to put the Rio Christ on the hill have started to attract alien attention.

Or maybe its the same PR company trying to divert attention from their Rio Christ plans.

Primrose Hill is known for its links to paganism and spiritual activity.

The poet William Blake used the north London beacon as inspiration for his poems in remembrance of Celtic Albion.

It was on Primrose Hill, a site cherished by the early modern Druids, that the poet had a vision of the Spiritual Sun which he compared to the true light of the imagination.

It was also there that Blake had his vision of Celtic Albion and the divine Jerusalem that he predicated would rise from the capitals ashes.

London doctor and Belgian medium tell of astonishing encounters

In exclusive interviews with Spiritualist magazine Psychic News, a London doctor has told of his strong psychic impression that successfully diagnosed the condition of a young girl he had never met and prevented serious complications to her health, and a Belgian medium recounts how an invisible force saved her from the stricken Costa Concordia cruise liner.

Their accounts suggest that unseen spiritual influences can sometimes play a vital role in our lives.

Talking openly about the gradual development of his mediumistic abilities in the first of a two-part interview, Dr Ian Rubenstein, a GP whose practice is in Enfield, north London, tells Psychic News editor Susan Farrow about a remarkable experience while at the gym, where another of the regulars, Cathy, remarked that her granddaughter had swallowed a plastic pen top the previous day, but now seemed fine.

Where did his “knowledge” that something was wrong with the girl come from? “I know what a sceptic would say,” he responds, “but I veer towards the idea that maybe someone [in the spirit world] was trying to contact me.”

As a Spiritualist and medium, Yvonne Adriaensen-Pols takes spirit communication for granted. But expecting the spirit world to intervene in a life-threatening situation was a totally new experience … and she lived to tell the tale to Psychic News readers.

The Peoria, Illinois Carp Hunters decided to have a little fun in their noble attempt to take out as many Asian carp as possible by dressing as gladiators and outback warriors from Mad Max, and then taking to the water armed to the teeth on water skis and inflatable tubes.

My personal favorites are the “treble trouble,” a tennis racket affixed with dozens of treble hooks, the “barbed batterer,” a wooden bat pierced with nails, and a sword called the “carp dicer.”

Although the video begins by warning not to follow this example, the Peoria, Illinois Carp Hunters are actually doing something worthwhile here by bringing to light just how overrun the river has become with invasive fish. Asian carp cost the U.S. millions of dollars every year in ecological damage so ridding the river of as many carp as possible is a great idea. Doing it while with a sword while water-skiing? Strange Encounters: Southwest Florida

Yesterday I posted a report from Southwest Florida that described odd UFOs that would suddenly 'manifest' into visible anomalies. I included links to reports of other strange phenomena in the same general area. A few weeks ago I posted a cryptid sighting in Ft. Myers, FL. There has been a substantial number of odd encounters in Southwest Florida, in particular Charlotte, DeSoto, Manatee, Lee and Hardy counties.

Today I received an anoymous report referencing 2 humanoid sightings....one in Ft. Myers and another in Lehigh Acres, Fl. Both incidents were in Lee County, Florida.

Hi - I recently had an encounter with a bird-like creature but I know it wasn't a bird - it looked to be a flying person. I know it sounds weird and crazy but I know what I saw. Well here's the whole story. On Feb, 5th around 11:30pm my older sister and her husband were taking me, my little sister, my mom and my two nieces to eat at Denny's in a near town (Fort Myers, FL). Well as we were driving on I75 out of nowhere through the windshield I see a person with wings fly over our car. It went over two times back and forth. I got a good look - it looked like a person with wings but then again it also looked like a pterodactyl (pterosaur). My brother-in-law also saw it and agreed with me. He says it was not a bird! Well that was my encounter with the creature.

My nephew also witnessed a person-like creature. He was walking to his girlfriend's house late at night and by her neighbor's house there are some trees. He said he saw a person / figure standing in the trees looking at him. He asked his girlfriend if she also saw it - she said that its always there. He then started to walk closer to get a better view of it when the creature jumped off the tree onto his girlfriend's neighbors fence causing it to make rattling noise. The dogs started barking and then the creature flew off in front off his eyes. It then ran into his girlfiend's house scared it would come back but it didn't. My nephew's encounter happened in Lehigh Acres, FL a couple of days before my encounter happened! We have no clue as to what it is or why it would be following us?! It is very mind boggling!!

Digging deep into the history of the area produced another cryptid in Lee County, FL. This was a monster that was eventually reported in the local news:

A Lee County Monster

A correspondent contributes to the Fort Myers Press a story of an immense serpent lately seen crossing the Caloosahatchee river near Chokoloskee, and the Press calls upon The Herald to match the story. As we have no big snakes in this locality, The Herald gives it up and begs to repeat what it said to Col. Tom Appleyard, that it is not an authority on snakes; and as no one in the office drinks liquor, none of us have had the pleasure of seeing snakes.

But here is the narrative of the Lee county serpent as it appeared in last week’s Press:

Col. Demere and Ervin Lowe came down from Needhelp last Sunday [presumably October 4], and report having seen an immense snake swim the river about two miles from here.

They say it appeared to be a great log on the water when they first saw it, but they learned it was a snake when they got to where it was, as the tail was just leaving the water on the south side of the river, and its head stood up four or five feet high, twenty yards from the river, and looked as large as a nail keg.

Of course the reptile must have been between fifty and sixty feet long, and its body looked about the size of a flour barrel. Now this looks fishy, but there is no one in this section that would doubt the veracity of either of these gentlemen.

We have since learned that the Indians have told of such a snake twenty years ago, having been seen by them in a certain swamp, and they always kept away from that swamp. This will give a good color to the snake story.

Flying cryptids and / or humanoids particularly fascinate me. Here is a video from 'Animal Planet' about an Ahool encounter in Lee County, FL. The Ahool is a flying cryptid, many times described as a giant bat, pterosaur or even a flying primate.

NOTE: Granted, there have numerous Bigfoot or Skunk Ape sightings in Southwest Florida over the years. I'm not saying that these are not interesting cryptids but I'm searching for the more 'obscure' encounters...be it natural, non-terrestrial or otherwise...Lon

Purple squirrel captured in Pennsylvania

A purple squirrel was found in Jersey Shore, Pa., on Sunday, by Percy and Connie Emert.

"We have bird feeders out in our yard, and the squirrels are constantly into them," said Jersey Shore resident Connie Emert. "My husband traps them and then sets them free elsewhere so they don't get into your bird feeders."

Emert said she had spotted a purple squirrel on her property but no one believed her.

"I kept telling my husband I saw a purple one out in the yard. 'Oh sure you did' he kept telling me," said Emert. "Well, he checked the trap around noon on Sunday and sure enough, there it was."

It was a warm and sunny day in Jersey Shore, Pa., on Sunday.

"The squirrel's been eating peanuts. That's what we used in the trap," she continued.

The Emerts currently do not know why the squirrel is purple.

"We have no idea whatsoever. It's really purple. People think we dyed it, but honestly, we just found it and it was purple."

The Emerts plan to release the squirrel back into the wild in the next few days.

"We put him in an extra big cage so he has room to run around, and we'll release him soon. In the meantime, all the neighbors have been by to see him. No one can believe we have a purple squirrel!"

Some AccuWeather.com employees have their own theories. Expert Senior Meteorologist Henry Margusity said, "The squirrel could have been looking for somewhere warm and fallen into a port-a-potty or something similar."

AccuWeather.com Expert Senior Meteorologist Dan Kottlowski has a different idea. "Squirrels get into all kinds of stuff. He could have gotten into some purple ink or purple paint at some point."

Local squirrel enthusiast Erik Stewart said, "If it has white hair on it at all, it's probably not dyed. I've had multiple squirrels as pets, though, and I've certainly never seen a purple one. I've seen dark red, light red, gray and brown, but never purple. Also, I've tried to dye my dog before, and trust me it didn't look like this. Though, I've only seen a picture, so your guess is as good as mine." - accuweather

Kenneth Arnold's daughter talks about her father

Kim Arnold is the daughter of Idaho pilot Kenneth Arnold, who reported a series of chevron shaped flying objects in 1947. He plays an important role in modern UFO history because this sighting created a media frenzy, and it was the genesis of the term Flying Saucer.

UFO history just keeps getting stranger. Kim is speaking out now, over 60 years since the event, and the story is much stranger than just a respected pilot seeing something odd in the sky. Space pioneer, astronaut Janice Voss dies

Astronaut Janice Voss, a veteran of five spaceflights and a former science director for a NASA exoplanet-hunting spacecraft, has died after a battle with cancer. She was 55.

"Just got the very sad news that U.S. astronaut Janice Voss passed away last night," the Association of Space Explorers, an international organization representing more than 350 individuals who have flown in space, wrote on Facebook. "Our thoughts go out to her family and friends."

NASA confirmed Voss' death in a statement released on Tuesday (Feb. 7), saying she had passed away overnight.

Chosen by NASA for the astronaut corps in January 1990, Voss served as a mission specialist on five space shuttle missions, including the only repeat flight in the program's 30 year history. She flew with the first commercial lab, rendezvoused with Russia's Mir space station and helped create the most complete digital topographic map of the Earth.

Voss launched on her first and final missions on board the shuttle Endeavour. As a member of the STS-57 crew in June 1993, she helped conduct biomedical and material science experiments in the first commercially-developed Spacehab module, a pressurized laboratory mounted in the orbiter's payload bay that more than doubled the work area for astronaut-tended activities.

In February 2000, Voss again launched on Endeavour, this time for the Shuttle Radar Topography Mission. After deploying a nearly 200-foot (60-meter) mast, Voss and her crewmates worked around the clock in two shifts to map more than 47 million square miles (122 million square kilometers) of the Earth's land surface.

Her second flight to space marked the first time a space shuttle came within the vicinity of Russia's space station Mir. Flying on shuttle Discovery, Voss and her STS-63 crewmates — including Eileen Collins, the first woman to pilot a U.S. spacecraft — rendezvoused with the Russian outpost to verify flight techniques, communications, and navigation and sensor aids. The February 1995 "Near-Mir" mission set the stage for the first shuttle-Mir docking later that year.

Voss' two other spaceflights, STS-83 and STS-94, were the only time in the shuttle program's history that an entire crew was launched twice to achieve the same mission. The crew's first attempt began with a liftoff on Columbia on April 4, 1997. Three days into the mission however, a problem with one of the orbiter's three power-generating fuel cells resulted in the flight being cut short and the crew members returning to Earth.

Three months later with Columbia back in working order, Voss and her six STS-83 crewmates launched again, this time as the STS-94 crew. During the successful 15-day flight, Voss and her fellow fliers worked inside a European Spacelab module, conducting experiments as part of the Microgravity Science Laboratory (MSL) mission.

In total, Voss logged over 49 days in space, traveling 18.8 million miles (30.3 million km) while circling the Earth 779 times. Her five missions tied her with the record for the most spaceflights by a woman.

Four years after returning to Earth for a final time, Voss transferred from Johnson Space Center in Houston, Texas to NASA's Ames Research Center at Moffett Field, Calif., where she headed the science program for the agency's Kepler space observatory. Designed to search for Earth size planets orbiting distant stars, Kepler was launched in March 2009 and to date has confirmed 61 exoplanets and identified more than 2,000 planetary candidates.

Voss left Ames in 2007 and most recently served as the payload lead in the astronaut office's space station branch at the Johnson Space Center.

"As payload commander of two shuttle missions, Janice was responsible for paving the way for experiments that we now perform on a daily basis on the International Space Station," chief astronaut Peggy Whitson said in a statement. "By improving the way scientists are able to analyze their data, and establishing the experimental methods and hardware necessary to perform these unique experiments, Janice and her crew ensured that our space station would be the site of discoveries that we haven't even imagined."

"During the last few years, Janice continued to lead our office's efforts to provide the best possible procedures to crews operating experiments on the station today," she said. "Even more than Janice's professional contributions, we will miss her positive outlook on the world and her determination to make all things better."

A native of Rockford, Ill., Voss received her bachelor of science in engineering science from Purdue University in 1975, a master of science degree in electrical engineering and a doctorate in aeronautics and astronautics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 1977 and 1987, respectively.

Voss' first work with NASA was during her undergraduate studies at Purdue. A member of Johnson Space Center's co-op program, she worked on computer simulations in the engineering and development directorate in the years leading up to the start of the shuttle-era. Voss returned to the Johnson in 1977 for a year, working as a crew trainer teaching entry guidance and navigation.

Before becoming an astronaut, Voss worked at the Orbital Sciences Corporation, supporting mission integration and flight operations for the Transfer Orbit Stage that launched the Advanced Communications Technology Satellite from the space shuttle in September 1993, and NASA's ill-fated Mars Observer from a Titan rocket in 1992.

A multiple recipient of NASA's Space Flight Medal, Voss donated her personal papers documenting her spaceflight career to Purdue Libraries' division of archives and special collections in 2009.

"Knowing that someone else got from here to there brightened many of my days at Purdue," Voss said at the time, referring to the university's earlier astronaut alums. "Maybe my papers will help someone else feel that they aren't that different from me."

Bigfoot In Ohio: The Truth is Out There

A terrific winter storm moved across Northeast Ohio the night we — staff photographer Jeremy Aronhalt and I — were to embark on an expedition to hunt for the legendary elusive beast. With parts of the Snow Belt receiving up to a foot of snow, the trip was cursed with a sense of doom well before we even began to venture out, a curse I fear might still linger.

Initially the trip was undertaken with a jovial air, but as the reality of the situation presented itself, the fun seemed to be stripped from the assignment, weighed down like an ice-covered tree limb. This was supposed to be a fact-finding mission on one of the planet’s oldest mysteries: the legendary Bigfoot creature.

The story behind the story began well before that fateful journey. Editor-in-chief Michael Nasvadi received a tip about the sighting of the beast just south of Massillon in Strasburg. One of his sources presented him with photographic evidence (see picture above), captured by a deer cam, of an alleged Sasquatch.

I was with zombies, 'resurrected' man says

A man claiming to be resurrected maskandi artist Mgqumeni will appear in the Nquthu Magistrate's Court on Tuesday.

Detectives from provincial headquarters had been dispatched to Dundee to investigate the man's claims, Colonel Jay Naicker said on Monday.

The man was taken in for questioning on Sunday on suspicion of fraud after he made his first public appearance. He remains in police custody.

He claimed to be the multi-award winning traditional Zulu folk music artist who was buried in 2010, whose real name was Khulekani Khumalo.

Khumalo died in December 2009 after drinking something he got from a traditional healer. He was buried by his family in the KwaGxobanyawo cemetery in early 2010.

The man claiming to be the resurrected artist, told The Times newspaper: "I have been suffering a lot at the place where I was kept with zombies. It was hell there and I am so grateful that I was able to free myself and return to my family and you, my supporters."

Investigations would determine whether the police needed to file a High Court application to exhume the body thought to be Khumalo's.

After news broke on Thursday of Khumalo's arrival at his family's homestead in Nquthu, near Dundee, hysterical fans went to the village, according to weekend reports. - new24
