A corporate religion flourishes across desolate landscapes. Within expansive architectural vernacular, salvation takes form in arena-like spirituality cubes. Faith exists for the adherents of the religion amongst a thousand shades of beige and brown set against the immense blue sky. These halls of worship are the architects of the very visual, social, economic, and political landscapes in which they live.

A blend of fundamentalism and commerce, this system of belief is the ultimate in non-secular consumer culture. I believe it is within this construct where the elemental weaknesses and powers of human nature are both exploited and employed in the cause of furthering the evangelical-industrial complex.

I see this massive complex in its illusory form as well as the in the truths that surround it. Using the absurd monumental landscape as a background juxtaposed with the foreground of cultural realities and fantasies that stem from the faith, I seek to alter, embrace, and break the visual influence it possesses.
