With its menu-based interface and above-the-battlefield perspective, this game might seem too brainy for bros who prefer the visceral thrills of first-person blasting. But give this war a chance. It’s set on the Eastern Front during World War II, and lets you relive the bloodiest battles between the Soviet Red Army and the Germans, complete with heavy artillery and the extreme cold of Mother Russia. Fully destructible structures mean you can’t take cover behind barns and brick walls for long. The winter weather also adds strategic wrinkles. Soldiers can die of frostbite if they don’t seek shelter, and frozen rivers become risky roadways for tanks and half-tracks. Shoot the ice just right and—crack!—enemy vehicles plunge into the icy drink.

When zombies dream, do they dream of eating Hollywood A-listers? Thousands of flesh-chompers swarm in Pitt’s latest, on which an obscene amount of money has been spent. We happen to think that’s grand, even if the production was troubled and the release date was pushed back by six months. The source novel, a kind of fictional combat reminiscence, has been converted into a globe-spanning action movie—and there’s smarts in that decision, especially since Hollywood hasn’t done blockbuster horror in a while. World War Z looks to play like Dawn of the Dead on steroids: a film George Romero could only dream of getting funded, with helicopters, airplanes, and whole cities going down in flames.

Let me first say that I’d love, for once, to tell everyone that eating this food or that herb will give you irresistible, unstoppable, altogether agreeable boners. It’s no fun to be a professional spoilsport. But it is what it is.

Eating pistachios may be good for you, in general. And there is some evidence to suggest that eating pistachios could improve erectile function. Unfortunately, it isn’t enough to hang your hat on (the evidence, I mean, not the erection).

Recently some researchers in Turkey did an experiment to see if pistachios might improve erectile function in men with ED. It is a reasonable idea, because scads of other studies show that eating nuts may lower heart-disease risk, and pistachios are packed with heart-healthy nutrients. ED, without a doubt, is linked to disease of the heart and blood vessels. It is often the first sign that your blood vessels are clogging up.

These Turkish researchers asked 17 guys with ED to eat a handful of pistachios every day at lunch for three weeks. Overall, the men’s erectile function improved after three weeks of daily snacking on pistachios.

Forgetting for a moment that this was a small study (although that in itself is a problem), what’s wrong with it? It’s something so obvious that I actually didn’t notice it right away. What do you think, class? No, really, take a minute to think about it…

That’s right: There wasn’t a control group! If you want to do an experiment to see if eating pistachios makes a difference, you have to have some guys eating pistachios, and other guys not eating pistachios. Duh.

Since they didn’t control the experiment, we can’t tell if eating pistachios made the difference. It could be that merely taking part in a study may have helped these guys’ erection problems.

After reading the study, I did a “study” of my own. I bought a package of shelled pistachio nuts and ate them in the car on my way home from the grocery store. The result: I wasn’t hungry after eating three-quarters of the package. Conclusion: I wish I’d noticed that they weren’t salted pistachios, because they were kind of bland. Also, I think it’s more satisfying to crack open the shells than to toss them back by the handful.

This backbone is also the mounting point for suspension components capable of taming the trickiest back roads, all while hauling a full load of people and gear.

It is this proven platform that serves as the basis for the F6B—a much lighter, sportier, and more aggressive (some might say sinister) addition to the Gold Wing family. Custom-bike builders have been tweak ing the Wing for years, and now Honda has created a radical produc tion version of its own using the com pany’s engineering expertise, modern design savvy, and superb attention to detail. The result is a very special heavyweight bike that takes performance and handling to a new level, while fortifying an already pol ished machine with more minimalist urban styling.

Honda has taken the basic chassis and devised a unique sculpted body for the F6B that leaves behind the tail trunk from the standard Wing, but has large, weatherproof saddlebags, as well as a convenient glove box. The full fairing offers protection from weather’s extremes, while the shorty windscreen allows in a comfortable amount of the breeze and flows well with the smooth lines of the bike. Blacked-out detail work highlights both color choices (black or red), and enhances the mechanical cleanness of the drivetrain and all-included plumbing. A newly calibrated rear shock takes advantage of the more than-60-pound weight savings, and combined with the stout 45mm front forks creates the most lithe GL1800 ever built.

A premium sound system is standard equipment, and if you opt for the Deluxe model (and you must—trust me on this), you’ll also get a passenger backrest, center-stand, self-canceling turn signals, and heated grips. There is, of course, a considerable store of genuine Honda accessories available, like the deluxe helmet headset, to further customize an already stun ning ride.

There isn’t an exact measurement that “qualifies” you for a larger condom. But how a condom fits matters not only for pleasure, but also for safety. A condom that’s too tight-fitting may be more likely to break.

Standard condoms sold in the United States are made to fit average size guys. According to numerous surveys, the average American penis (erect) is about six inches long and five inches in girth (circumference). Let’s say your penis has a girth of 41/2 inches and is precisely 6 inches long. Does that mean you aren’t eligible to wear a larger-caliber condom? Not at all. As long as your penis is wider than the condom at the base, you could wear it.

By the same token, if you measure 51/2 inches around, you may feel comfortable using a regular-size condom.

Condoms are made to stretch. A standard condom can fit the largest human penis. But several studies have shown that standard condoms may be more prone to break during sex when penis girth exceeds five inches.

An erect penis is most commonly widest at the head. But penises come in a variety of shapes and sizes. In some men, the shaft is the widest part. Less commonly, the base is widest, or the girth doesn’t vary along the length.

Most large-size condoms have extra room around the head, but are about the same size as standard
condoms at the base. A guy with a very thick shaft might feel pinched even in an extra-large condom.

The best thing to do is to try on lots of different condoms and see what feels best.

You can order on line from most major drugstore chains, Amazon.com, and websites spe cial izing in condoms. Sites like Condomania.com also let you see a picture of the actual condoms, unwrapped and unrolled. That’s a plus, because shapes vary among brands.
