To stand out, an artist has to create something that is unique and catches the eye among a wide range of competition. The Sky walkers share the same mindset.

Vitaly Raskalov and his friend Alexander Remnov; collectively known as “The Sky walkers” are a pair of daredevil photographers from Russia. Where photographers around the world visit beautiful landscapes, oceans, jungles and other marvels of nature to strengthen their portfolios, these two rely on the concrete jungles, also known as cities. The photographs taken by these two always create an awe effect; especially when one considers the heights they go to for them, and I literally mean “heights”. They select the tallest buildings in Moscow and other cities; ascend to the very top without any climbing equipment; and once they reach the top, then they capture each other’s pictures! You are bound to feel dizzy just by looking at these photographs.

The Sky walkers always capture the depth of the plunge they might suffer if they make even the slightest of mistakes. They do not just take the elevator and reach the roofs; they climb to the points no one else would even imagine going to. The complete series of their photographs might compel you to think they are insane; but it is just their design, their claim to fame and it definitely makes them stand out. It is amazing how they are not imprisoned by the fear of heights and how they defy the basic human instinct. For any soul that loves a little adventure, these pictures are bound to get the adrenalin pumping. Kudos to the Sky walkers for defeating fear, defying gravity and bringing us this unique daredevil compilation of pictures.

There are thousands of Arts and Crafts institutes around the world. Millions of people work hard day and night to get admitted to these institutes. However, these institutes can only sharpen the individuals’ skills. Creativity is a quality that no alma mater can induce; it is something than an individual is born with. Moreover, no one can groom and amplify the talents of creative people more than the creative people themselves. Clun Franco, an Italian artist, is a prime example of such people.

Franco always had a passion for pencil drawings. What makes his work extraordinary is that he is a self-taught artist. This means that he evolved his raw talent into absolutely mesmerizing work. His work includes pencil drawings of various celebrities as well as common people. One of the celebrities Franco has drawn is Anne Hathaway. The pencil drawing of this beautiful Hollywood star is as stunning as any camera can produce. Franco also drew a picture of Robert Downey Jr. This picture is actually inspired by a scene from Iron Man 2, where Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr.) is attacked by Ivan Vanko (Mickey Rourke) on car racing track.

Another amazing drawing by Franco shows the close up of an elderly man’s face; while removing his spectacles. The man’s face is redrawn in the spectacles, just as they would show in an actual image, reflecting the face due to the focal strength of the glasses. Franco’s work shows a lot of attention to details and it is hard to believe that he has not had any professional training. Another drawing shows the close up of a male eye. Everything in this drawing including the eye ball, eye brows, eye lashes and even the skin pigments are perfectly drawn. Franco’s dedication to his work is an inspiration to budding artists everywhere. If you have talent, only you can take it to the maximum potential. Just believe in yourself, work hard and you shall achieve greatness.

Umbrellas have been in use for many years. The most common use for umbrellas is protection against the rain. This common use has led to little or no changes in the basic umbrella design. At most, various colors are used to bring a little life in the product; but other than that, it has always been pretty same. People spend thousands in their relative currencies on clothes accessories and styles. Why not umbrellas? Thanks to some creative minds, there are few new designs for umbrellas that give them a certain attitude and are head turners.

The modern day generation is used to slang and sign language. Moreover, a heavy rain is often a problem. Along comes an umbrella design that give a certain hand sign to the rain while I use, using some strong words for the rain in the process. Another umbrella has a transparent, goggle shaped area in it; so you won’t have a vision problem in the rain and won’t have to adjust the umbrella again and again in order to see.

Another design is for the executive customers. The top steel part of the umbrella is a golf club. So when it isn’t raining, you can tee-off. The Samurai sword is a design that has fascinated generations. Thanks to our creative minds, now, there is an umbrella whose handle looks just like a sword’s. Google is one of the greatest success stories of our generation. The search engine and its related stuff are more than multi billion Dollars in worth. With a lead in technology, Google recently completed a new and unbelievable project known as Google Glass. This wearable pair of smart glass with a Heads Up Display (HUD) is definitely going to be a bigger success than any modern tech gadgets we see. However, the usage of prototypes has indicated some major flaws in Google Glass. If Google desires to make this phenomenal new project a success; these flaws need to be rectified immediately, or else it is millions of Dollars down the drain.

1. Battery Life

Oops! The geniuses who were busy putting more and more apps in Google Glass forgot the basic thing. It runs on battery! With the entire unimaginable feature Google Glass holds, the prototypes gave a clear message; “It isn’t running on this battery!”

2. Filtering

Suppose you are walking wearing Google Glass and are about to cross a busy road. Suddenly, you get a call from your girlfriend, and at the very same moment, two of your friends send you a viral message. Bam! You’re blind! Google Glass cannot filter messages according to priority.

3. Security

For a professional hacker, it is child’s play to control your Google Glass. If it has an unlocked boot loader and is unattended with someone you don’t trust even for a little while, they will have access to everything you have stored within a minute. Moreover, they will be able to see whatever you are doing wearing these bad boys!

4. The Fit

When it comes to style Google Glass looks amazing; the fit on the face itself is another story. Users of prototypes say they fit awkwardly and make them uncomfortable.

5. Display

This should not even be here! Considering the advanced technology Google has, the display is mediocre. Colors are not consistent and this is a crime in the modern era of LCD, LED and 3D technology.

There are a few more problems identified with Google Glass. Some of them are multitasking, limited sharing networks (supports only Google+) andinternet reliance. Hopefully, Google will take care of these issues before the actual launch.
