I used a warm yellow gradient on the left side and a cool blue gradient on the right side, to emphasize the light and shadow. I also used an "orton" effect, and then selectively eliminated it to leave some areas sharp. My mother is 88 years old, and has had an amazing, productive, and spiritual life.
