Metro 2033 gives us a setting in which much of the planet has been devastated and only a few humans have survived by taking refuge in the underground system of Moscow. Ever since it hit the bookshelves in stores, metro 2033 has been quite a success as more than 500,000 copies have been sold.

As the game begins, you catch a sight of what the world has been reduced to. As you and another surviving human get out of the underground system, a mutant immediately attacks, but you’ll handle it quite easily as they’re always easy to slaughter. After killing the mutant, you take on gas masks and proceed to meet your allies coming in vehicles. But now you get the real action as this time around a whole army of mutants attacks your allies and hurts them badly. Meanwhile you have to get a good hiding place and kill the mutants turn by turn again. With your allies utterly dissipated and the enemies outnumbering you, your chances to live to fight another day seem quite bleak, and in the midst of this terrifying situation, you’re taken back to how things were eight days ago so that you learn the story from the beginning visiting the Exhibition for the very first instance.

By learning a little about the theme of Metro 2033, if you’re thinking it’s just another shooter game like Fallout 3 PC Game and Stalker, then you are mistaken. 2K Games and Firaxis have announced that is in development for PC Civilization V next fall 2010. There was free of defects (who played it remember the classic “phalanx defeats tank”), but still was one of the best games of turn-based strategy in history. Several things have been improving with the sequels, although the battle still has its quirks, even in the most recent versions. But Civilization is not pure combat. It’s strategy, and as such should take into account many issues that had little to do with a battle, achieving the balance that allowed the ultimate goal: Send a spacecraft to Alpha Centauri, where they developed another great game Sid Meier.

Now we are in 2010, and fortunately, Civilization will make an appearance once again, through his fifth delivery. What will new in this version? First, the system squares on the map has been changed. Gone are the square to make way for the hexagons, a change that undoubtedly will force players to create and deploy new combat techniques. Then we will see a graphics engine capable of shocking scenes. The few images that are found floating on the net and can give us an idea about how good are the graphics. Diplomacy will also be improved in several respects. In previous titles, too much diplomacy could turn a game on too restrictive and boring. Civilization 2010 (V) pc game looks correct details and offers an assessment prior best. And finally we got to fight. According to the official site, the battles will be “enormous”, but more interesting is the inclusion of remote bombing, which will think twice before attacking players.

The game also allows players to design and implement changes in the game, something that is sure to be appreciated by the fan community. Civilization V pc game 2010 is expected to be released at some point this autumn, but there is still no specific date. Oulu Games Cluster released a new gaming magazine for interest groups at the Game Developers Conference, San Francisco Today March 11, 2010. The magazine introduces game companies of northern Finland along with some of their games and their makers.

“In the nineteenth century, Oulu was famous for its tar industry. The end of the 20th century brought along Nokia mobile phones and our town became a noteworthy international concentration of the ICT industry. Now in 2010 we stand at the beginning of a new era. The next milestone will be crafted from games”, says Ville Wittenberg, the editor-in-chief and CCO of LudoCraft Ltd one of the game companies of the region.

PC Games are already the number one article in Finnish cultural exports. Oulu is the second most significant centre of PC games industry in Finland, right behind the capital city region standing in the front line.

At the beginning I was just writing an article about FIFA 10 PC Game Review but then I decided to write a game review about the comparison of these two most popular football pc games.

Avatar Game: My first impression: It looks spectacular. If you liked the first part, you’ll go crazy with this one!

When you learn things about Assassin’s Creed 2, you simply can’t help but think that UbiSoft have definitely improved on a lot of things from the first edition. For the last few years UbiSoft has been slowly letting out the features of the second edition, starting from details about the weapons and armor to some improvements to the general mechanics in the game-play, but recently UbiSoft gave gamers a chance to get a go at the controls of the game at a press event in Florence, Italy.

If you thought that the story didn’t end in Assassin’s Creed 2 PC Game, then you’ll be happy to know that the second edition commences right from where the game ended in first part. The game starts with a bloody flashback of what went by in the first part of the game, and you take on the role of Desmond Miles, who is a successor of a family having a history of professional assassins. Miles shows aversion to leading a life of an assassin, but things get thrilling as a secret organization having the designs to take over the whole world operating with a fake name of Abstergo Corporation abducts Miles in the First Assassin’s Creed and tries to peek into his memory with the help of Animus machine to discover the true locations of artifacts having great powers. And the developments don’t end here as your close associate from the first edition, Lucy emerges in this situation with alarms blaring in the background and enemies on her heels!

Despite the fact that players and pc game-lovers who had a close look at Assassin’s Creed 2, experienced much more than has been said, but even that is a blessing in disguise because now you will not get any spoilers. There is simply so much to do with Ezio’s career which spans over thirty years, and with the second edition giving more opportunities to thrill and excitement with a whole new mission structure letting you achieve objectives after objectives and explore the story closely!

The delay of a few months in the release of the PC port of Red Faction: Guerrilla ahead of the console version may just be worth it. Good news is that MSRP has fallen to $40, and the disc will also contain all the content there to be downloaded, including the all-exciting prequel missions named ‘Demons of the Badlands’.

While you always have the option to play Guerilla on game pad, playing with the help of keyboard and mouse is also on as their options are pretty customizable. If your PC supports high graphics games, you’ll get a treat with Red Faction: Guerilla as the subtle but magnificent graphics effects will be fully visible. If you still haven’t tried your hand at Guerilla, you can light up the upcoming season as its price is not even close to what the game offers to you!

You take up the role of Commander Shepard, a person at the helm of the ascension of humanity into galactic politics. This is how an epic story of engaging characters as well as rich branching dialogue was started. This package was completed with exciting combat & robust skills management. The missing pauses makes this pc game distance itself further from other BioWare RPG’s where you feel like you are engrossed in a ponderous, tactical game. This pc game feels like a complete third person shooter. You can still enjoy gunning down small enemy groups within a few steps and blasting your way through larger battles in as fun as ever. But now you can also release multiple biotic or tech attacks while moving too. You can take out enemy shields, dart from cover and explode enemy weapons while you are shooting them and also get back into cover within seconds. The biggest reward from this faster, fluid action is of the power that it makes you sense. You can feel like the bad ass warrior that you were supposed to be. This adds to the fun of combat.

Everything which made the game great on the 360 like the conversations, story, galaxy, combat, characters and soundtrack are all there on the PC. Even the changes do not radically effect the game. But the impact is good enough for us to choose the PC version as opposed to the 360 version. Also, there is a downloadable expansion pack called “Bring Down the Sky” which is being offered by BioWare. This is free for PC users. Unfortunately we were not able to review that right now. Irrespective of whether you are a seasoned veteran or a newcomer to the Normandy, the PC version is definitely your best bet.

Players can choose from three character classes, and risk the safety of the city of torches in the randomly generated dungeon levels, with a variety of scary monsters, the infinite variations of the loot to find, and quests to complete . Randomization ensures long endless gameplay experience.

The fact is that Counter Strike is among the most favorite first-person shooter games and the reason being that it is classic when it comes to game-design and game-play. While many have the passion for playing games online, if you’re one of those who have a different taste, purchasing Counter Strike will be worthwhile for you. Things around the Spears Renaissance Faire have not been quite the same since the owners of the place died. Shortly after Robert’s wife Margaret died, he remarried and after he too died, his son was left to deal with his new mother Leah. They are in no way malicious, a lot of them just want to restore the park to its lost glory, but they however do manage to scare off tourists. You have to now figure out what really is going on & save the park.

While investigating, you will visit many of the shops and attractions in the park. Some of them are the bakery, jeweler, jousting field, etc. At some of these places you will find hidden objects and at some puzzles. Some will even have both. In most cases, the final hidden object you find will give you an item that will help you solve another puzzle at other places in the park. There are various kind of puzzles. Simple ones include finding keys for doors and the more complex ones involve you choosing appropriate presents for a gnome to give his lady friend.

GHOST Cronicles is truly a beautifully done pc game that is smart too and accomodates a large number of different skill levels. But, still it is  fun even if you choose to play it for a second time. (If you play on easy the first time out, try playing on a harder difficulty and you will notice the huge difference). A fun minigame is the one in which you need to hunt hint fairies. You will revisit many scenes just to find hidden fairies you missed even if you do not actually need them. If you are looking for a game that offers a nice mix of hidden objects & puzzles then G.H.O.S.T. Cronicles is surely a pc game for you.

While Cryptic has retained some good features of City of Heroes, some innovative features like loot are also included so that players get the bite of something new. SAW Game for PC was a promising project that due to the economic crisis, remained unfinished until Konami took the reins of the project. With the pull of its name and the possibilities that are shuffled at the thought of a video game based on Saw, this survival horror has been followed very closely. Especially for her fans. Now, with its output in Europe just around the corner, the macabre world of Jigsaw be explored a bit more. Although, surely, everything is just another trap.

Chronologically, the Saw video game is at the crossroad between the first and second film-just the best of the saga. Usually, it seems that the central element is over looked and nowadays we are searching for titles from developers like Frozenbyte that give modern takes on classic 2D action adventures.

TRINE begins with a background story which is presented quite beautifully about 3 individual characters and how they land up in one treasure room by touching a magical object which combines them all into a single deity.

The voiceovers are very effective & I personally immediately liked the game after this initial presentation itself. These characters that are now merged must search for a method to free them from the single body that they are trapped in and must clear the land of evil which pollutes it, on the way.

You control three different & combined characters, a knight, a wizard and a thief. Each of them have special abilities & skills which they can use to interact with the surrounding environment & the hostile creatures that are a part of it. The knight is a warrior and carries a very big sword that he uses to smash skeletons to tiny bits. The wizard can use magic to move things as well as summon blocks or bridges to get to certain places.

The thief has a bow & arrow and can fix a rope on wooden surfaces in order to get to impossible places. The thief and knight give you a combination of melee & ranged combat and the wizard gives you the power to move and create objects in the game environment.

The player mechanics in this game means that you can solve many situations in this game using the characters in many different ways & you can even choose to stick to just 2 characters for most part if that is what you wish to do.You might need to think fast and switch between characters quickly in some puzzles in order to succeed.

As you go through the game, you complete many puzzles and kill quite a few skeletons to earn experience points which you can use to gain access to new skills and techniques.

Trine is truly a wonderful game that deserves quite serious consideration from any person that is bored with the normal First Person Shooters of 2009.

It has quite a lot of charm & combines feelings of old 2D adventure style games with modern day elements of physics as well as solid gameplay using the multifaceted characters system. What adds to the factor of immersion in this game is the beautiful visuals & audio score. This is a game that I can recommend to any adventure gamer wholeheartedly.

This game involves tower defense strategy’s. Here, the main aim is to stop zombies from traversing the game map & finally invading your house in the game. You have to do this by using the large number of plants that are at your disposal. All of these plants have different attributes which make them quite effective against the zombies both generally and also specifically against some of them. The reason for this is that the zombies too have some attributes which can be thought of as their weaknesses and strengths. The strategy element in this game is based on how the player is able to match these weaknesses and strengths on the game map & how he/she is able to manage his/her overall plant resources. A part of taking care of these resources involves players seeking upgrades to their arsenal of plants. You do this by buying upgrades using the money you collect from fallen zombies and the rewards that you earn by succesfully completing the different gameplay modes.

Apart from the adventure mode, this game also has additional gameplay modes which ensure that the fun never stops. Survival mode is one mode in which you battle the zombies endlessly where you can improve your skills and perfect your strategy. World of Goo is one of those titles that starts with a simple premise to delight and engage from the first minute of play and for hours on end. It is the first product of these characteristics, but the fact is that developers, the guys at 2D Boy’s small company, have succeeded in giving an identity to his proposal. This brings us to the colorful land of World of Goo, whose inhabitants, particularly curious beings, they need our help to save.

The gameplay of World of Goo is simple but addictive. Using the mouse we are able to interact with the goo, beings into a ball of different qualities. Moving around the stage, always under certain limits and range of motion, we need to overcome barriers and get the goo to their destination (usually water). The physics are endowed with the goo that is most realistic, so to control and that the position does not move us all from falling to the ground, we will have to give a little to the head. And it’s not an easy game, because although the first levels have no great secrets, as we move forward we will find ourselves with very complicated challenges. They will have to take the goo to a destination, building bridges and structures, or use their skills to overcome an obstacle and move forward. Not easy, but the truth is that no matter what we will get stuck for minutes (sometimes hours) to overcome their screens. The more we move forward more afraid of it were over.

Fortunately, there is short (5 long chapters with lots of phases) and has a global scorecard on which to try to make our mark to become the best player on the planet. It misses the Wii cooperative multiplayer mode, but no longer just a bonus.

GRAPHICS

The atmosphere is loaded with color, but also has a simple style that does not need frills to highlight.
