This month we welcomed 20 people from Queensland, some were Qld Tourism and others owned and operated different tours and accommodation in Queensland, we all had a great night comparing the tourist industry, and it was wonderful to meet other like minded people, we will be looking forward to visiting

Our Wet season started with early rains, but everything has now dried up again, the Magpie Geese have moved out and we are still booking cabins and rooms, byo food though, as our restaurant is closed. We are able to supply a limited variety of meals if required.We will be open for cabin and room bookings until the rains come regularly and our road is closed. Those people who are staying with us are experiencing the Kimberley’s at its most beautiful and peaceful with very few tourists in the area they are getting the views to themselves.

After our successful 2011 season we are now preparing for the 2012 season, depending on the wet season we hope to open end of March, already the wet lands are full of water so a bumper year ahead of us, migratory birds are arriving and as reported before the Magpie Geese are here in their hundreds, we have never seen so many as what we have this year, they are waiting for the big rain to come when they will head out to bigger pastures. The Kimberley is looking fantastic with every imaginable colour of green before our eyes where ever we look.
