Banana Split Pop Tone Cardstock

I have been participating in an inactive card design class with Julie Ebersole and friends. For my first attempt I turned to my stash of PopTones cardstock from the PaperTemptress and chose the scrumptious- good enough to eat – Banana Split cardstock, embossed it with black and used Cryogen White cardstock for the sentiment to create my first swing card!

Hello everyone, and Happy tuesday to all!!! Cheryl Walker here sharing a Mother’s Day card I made for my Mother In-law. I used the BEAUTIFUL card stock from Paper Temptress, I LOVE this stuff!!! Its soo Pretty in person, and I really think pictures just dont do it justice here, but on to my card

So I tried to get different angles, so you all could see the different card stock i used. I used the beautiful

Glammer gold Glossy for the frame and the doily

Gold Metallic glossy for the middle piece Mothers day tag

black card stock

I used super SWEET Tilda and colored her with copics and cut her out. I did add some stickles to her ruffles. Next I added some pearls in gold and sewing in cream. My card was super easy and fun to make using the Beautiful Paper Temptress Card stock that Patricia carries.

I’ve made a fan to keep me cooler on these hot days here…..I used teal card stock by Paper Temptress, embossed and sprayed it with glimmer mist….glue together ….attach a small piece of lace and then added a button with rhinestones around it…done…easy and so simple….

Wedding card

Happy Mother’s Day everyone. I guess I should have came up with a mother’s day card for today, but I needed a wedding card for my daughter’s best friend. The base for this card is the Neenah Solar White. The colors for the wedding are green, white and black. The beautiful green is Olive Basis. The black accent has a little texture to it and is Black Felt Grandee. I was loooking for the perfect ribbon and the 3/8 ” Reversible Satin Ribbin with stitches in Black and Silver worked perfectly.

Wanted to wish all a Happy Mother’s Day! I will be starting my Mother’s Day waking up with 3 of my 4 grandchildren. Mommy went to a wedding so I kept all 3. Let me tell you I LOVE LOVE LOVE my grandbabies but will be very glad when Mommy comes to get them in the morning, they are a handfull! They all want to do what the other one is doing.

I am making a smash book thru out the year (at least planning on it LOL) of funny things they say and let me tell you, I have a hilarious story from today to add to it. The story is about my 7 year old grandson and my 5 year old granddaughter. Now I love her dearly but she can be a bit of a drama queen especially when she is tired which she was this evening. She decided that while she was in the bathtub that she got a splinter in her toenail. Of course there wasn’t a splinter but there was a little indentation in the whites of her toenail so it almost looked like she had gotten a splinter in it. Once she calmed down (a little bit) she asked her 7 year old brother to take the splinter out. He kind of looked at me like Grammy there isn’t a splinter and I just looked at him and said take it out. He knew I meant to pretend take it out so he picked her foot and then told her” I am not doing this to hurt you I am doing this because I love you”….I about fell over laughing, of course I didn’t laugh out loud because he was soooo sincere but come on, he is 7yrs old. Then he proceeded to pretend to take the splinter out and all was good…..Toooo funny. That one will definitely go in my book!

Here’s a fun image from Tiddly Inks on some stunning papers from Paper Temptress. The base of this card is the Sorbet cardstock called Watermelon. It’s a heavy cardstock and a very bright pink color. Just lovely and a wonderful base for cards. It makes your work very professional looking and feeling. The black cardstock is actually an amazing glossy cardstock with texture and pizazz. It’s called Retro Black Glossy Lustre. It shimmers in the light and has a beautiful feel to it. I used a punch on it to make a unique set of borders as well as a centerpiece.

The stamp image comes from artist Christy Croll from digi-stamp store Tiddly Inks. She also has images sold through a rubber stamp store called Stamping Bella. For this image, since it was a digi stamp, I printed it out on my computer, so I used 80lb Copic friendly paper. The paper I chose for this project was Neenah Solar White. I tend to use this brand when I am using my laser printer. When stamping, I like to use the Heavenly white paper that is a little thicker, 100lb or even the 120lb.

Seriously, I am cheating. Today is suppose to be my day to share with you a design of my own. Well very soon you are going to see what I have been doing lately which is the reason I don’t have an original design for you all! But do I have something special for you! Shelly Schmidt shared these AMAZING cards with me this week so I am going to turn around and share them with you:

Don’t you love them too??? The stamp is available at SweetStamps.com. I know I am buying one….Both of the cards use the amazing Incandescent paper line….one of my favorite cardstock that I carry. The gorgeous cream is the Candido and the red is Rosso. Shelly took great pictures but in real life this paper is even prettier then the pictures show. Pictures never show the golden tones that are contained in the sparkle. In fact finding this paperline has a lot to do with the creation of PaperTemptress.

Good morning. Steph here with a new card using only papers from thePapertemptress – each one is so different and beautiful.

For my card, I used Pink Lemonade Pop Tones which is a nice sturdy and pretty cardstock. I then added a panel of Mushroom Brown Bag Kraft which I embossed with a Cuttlebug embossing folder. The sentiment was stamped on Poison Ivory.

The rose was stamped on Heavenly White Smooth Cardstock which was able to withstand inking, die cutting and embossing. To create a frame for the rose, I used Pink Lemonade Pop Tones and Poison Ivory .

Genuine Soul loves Mica Metallic Papers

There is something about a soft sparkle that always grabs my attention. I’m certain it is why my favorite papers from Paper Temptress are the Mica Metallics. They have that richness to them that only a little sparkle can give.

Hello Everyone, Erika Taylor here today to share with you a card I created using the Ruby Mica Metallic Paper as well as 80# Eclipse Black and Heavenly White #120 (my go to paper for card bases). The Mica Metallic Text weight paper takes rub-ons like a dream. If you haven’t used rub-ons on the Mica Metallics yet, you’ve gotta try them!!!

You can really see the shimmer of this paper and how crisp the rub-on transferred.

The entire card uses Helmar Adhesive and the patterned papers are from Trinity Paper Arts. Thank you so much for stopping by today and seeing my little card. I hope you all enjoy it.
